| | |  Billywig Bounce House
The Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling Carnival has brought back one of its perennial favourites: an all-ages bounce house! This year however the house, in a bright blue, is a little bit unique as it is accompanied by several tiny zippy blue creatures brought all the way from Australia.
That's right, this isn't just a bounce house, its a Billywig bounce house! First step up to the Billywig Wrangler, reach your hand into the glass terrarium, and take your turn getting just a little sting or three (depending on your age and weight and other factors), before stepping inside the bounce house ready to levitate and bounce off the walls and the ceiling in all directions!
A large sign states that 'The Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling Carnival takes NO responsibility for any allergic reactions or any excessive giddiness or levitation that might be suffered by members of the public choosing to be stung more than the required number of times', so be sure to follow the Billywig Wrangler's instructions. You can always choose to use the bounce house in the regular way if you're chicken.
If you're done bouncing but haven't quite stopped levitating yet, take one of the ropes when you get out of the bounce house and tie it around your waist until the symptoms wear off and you gently float back to ground. We recommend doing this because you'll get a great view of the entire carnival and of Diagon Alley while you wait!
- Have your character put their hand in the glass container and be stung by the billywigs - the wrangler will make sure that your character is only stung the required number of times for your character's age, weight, and height, so please do not RP that your character is stung thousands of times unless you have permission to do so. Most children would have one sting, teenagers two, smaller adults three, bigger adults four - and no more than this!
- Your character WILL suffer giddiness and then levitation if they are stung by the Billywigs, but they will NOT fly off never to be seen again! There is a magical 'net' above the bounce house area for emergencies!
- If your character is going to 'step' out of the bounce house but they're still levitating, have them tie one of the ropes around their waist and they can comfortably and safely float while they wait for the effects to wear off, then they will slowly float down to land on the ground which has a cushioning charm all around the bounce house!

He'd been told that he wasn't allowed to do it by his Mum, but she and Warner had wandered off to get some things in the alley to set up the house a little differently now that he had moved in. Which meant that Beau was on his ABSOLUTE WORST behaviour around here and stop number UNO was the bounce house.

Into the bounce house he went! Valencia was wandering around wondering what all there was to do when she spotted a bounce house. It looked like fun so she decided to approach. She read over the sign before peering into a glass full of billywigs.
"How do you feel?" she asked noticing someone currently floating. "I have an aunt allergic to these things." Basically an aunt anyway. She was still sure her dad didn't quite understand that his sister's husband's sister wasn't actually related. But that was fine. It meant she had cool summers in far away places visiting her "aunt" and playing with her cousins. "I heard my uncle say one of these could kill her." Real uncle, not extended family uncle. Although, now that she thought about it, extended family uncle also mentioned it.

Carsyn was 10000000% in even if she had promised her cousin Chloe she would watch her ickle four year old cousin to show responsibility and he was too little to be stung by a Billywig. Fortunately for her, her Aunt Mia and doting grandmother to little Apollo probably sensed she would want to disappear from off with her friends or well wherever her free-spirited self took her and Carsyn eagerly let it take her to the bounce house.

She couldn't wipe off the grin from her face if she tried. Stepping in front of the glass (they get to be stung woohoo!), Harri reached her hand in and waited for the sting. And as soon as she got one, the eleven-year old practically leaped into the bounce house.
Time to get bouncing!

This was easy work, usually. So far there were no incidences to cause alarm. Billy (because yes, the Billywig Wrangler's name actually was Billy) simply needed to make sure that none of the billywigs would be overworked, and make sure the patsies punters took their hands out once they were stung enough to get levitatin'. The sign was enough to cover the carnival's behinds if anyone tried to abuse the whole situation, and there hadn't been an incident in weeks.
"Step right up!" He hollered, after getting the first three in there. "Its a levitation station! A billywig jig! Come get a sting and bounce and swing!"

He was IN THE AIR and practicing getting the lean just right to roll forwards and backwards without tanking. OBviously they wouldn't have thought he was this smart, right? CLEARLY it was able to be broken through? Right? Right? No, Beau. It really isn't.
His thoughts stopped in their track and so did his roll, so he was just...kind of there and bent over and bum in the air. Kill? Huh? "Who's dying? Cooooooool."

She was floating! When this was over, she would have to bring her parents and her brother along because this was simply awesome! And she was fluid at keeping her balance even though it was her first time. She giggled as she pushed herself off from one side of the wall and went saaaaaaaaaaaaaaailing into the air..."Eeep! Sorry!!!" She said as the girl she bumped into said literally the same thing.
She gave the girl a thumbs up and laughed. "I'm Harri. What's your name?" What was a great place to make new friends? A bounce house, of course!

The promise to watch Apollo carefully hadn’t only been made by one of the twins, although Carys had been torn as to what she wanted to do first. Not food, not yet. She wasn’t hungry yet, but the face painting had definitely been tempting to the twelve-year-old Hufflepuff. She liked face painting, but as she’d seen the head of her sister disappearing in the opposite direction, she’d followed. Maybe they’d be able to go get their faces painted afterward. Maybe. Or maybe she’d just go there by herself after wherever it was Carsyn had ran off to. She had her own money, after all.
Arriving just after her sister had disappeared inside the bounce house, a giggle escaped her at what the man operating the billywigs said. “Do you know any other rhymes?,” she asked him, just out of curiosity as she’d slipped a hand inside the container and felt a quick sting. Only one and she’d pulled her hand out again. She didn’t want to float off or anything, especially since she was still pretty little for a twelve year old.
She was already feeling pretty floaty by the time she’d managed to find her way into the bounce house. It was actually kind of fun. Different than flying and Quidditch, definitely. Still fun, as she found herself bouncing around and sort of in the direction of her sister and another girl, accompanying the trajectory with an animated wave.
Did she hear something about somebody dying? That wasn’t nice.

When Tessa Roberts' mum had suggested a family day out to the carnival, she received the full support of the Roberts siblings. Quicker than ever before, they got dressed and were READY. TO. GO. Ellie obviously took a bit longer to get ready because she liked sleep more than fun, but still. They were here now.
Well, not exactly they...
Unsurprisingly, upon arrival they - the two parents and four siblings - had somehow been separated. She expected that her parents were busy chasing after Levi. He was CRAZY and still young, whereas she and Ellie were old enough to look after themselves. Tessa was SIXTEEN now, you know?
So, here she was, about to get stung in the name of fun.

It was kind of hard to believe that she had been at Hogwarts for two whole years and about to start the third. Sometimes it didn't seem like it had been that long since she'd left Beauxbatons. "It's nice to meet you Tessa! I'm Violet!"

She was already feeling pretty floaty by the time she’d managed to find her way into the bounce house. It was actually kind of fun. Different than flying and Quidditch, definitely. Still fun, as she found herself bouncing around and sort of in the direction of her sister and another girl, accompanying the trajectory with an animated wave.
Did she hear something about somebody dying? That wasn’t nice. OOOOOHHH the other girl practically launched herself at her and obviously wasn't mad and Carsyn felt ever so grateful that she was still pretty tiny because and the floating made her light as air because it was just splendid!!! She grinned and thumbs up all lamely back at the girl, bouncing backward and landing on her bum. "Harri, Hiii!!! I'm Carsyn!!! Do ... doo ... y--y--y--ouuu gggggooo to Hoggwartssss???" her speech was all spacey due the air and excitement, but it was somewhat audible.
And there was Carys!!
"Carys, Hi!!! You found me!" She grinned and waved.

Despite the fact that he thought it a stupid question, Billy kept his patter up, winking at the kid before rhyming more.

She was literally floating and she was enjoying every second of it even as it felt soooo weird. Because yeah, it was weird when your feet didn't touch the ground and when you weighed next to nothing. But she was also unusually high, giggling (Harri didn't giggle!) AT the weirdness of it all.
"Nice to meet yooOoouu, Carsyn!" *FLAIL* She was floating farther away, she had to...swim...on the air to get closer back to her new friend! And swim on the air she did, kicking and propelling with her arms. "Not yet! I go to Hog--" Oops! Excuse us, some other child! "I go to Hogwarts next term! Do you?"

This was SO FUN! Literally. This was about the best decision that Carsyn made alllll day and she didn't even careee that she was supposed to be helping babysit their cousin. Because obviously their Aunt Mia wasn't bothered by it and knew teenagers (and pre-teens) and their attention spans. "Saaammeeeee!!!" she flailed, bouncing and rolling on the giant bubble, giggling.
"I'll be a seccoond yearrr!!! We both will!! But I'm a Gryffinnnn----rrroaaarrrr!!!" She giggled some more. Okay, yes, she was definitely gonna be sick when she got off this thing, but honestly, Carsyn didn't really care!
