The Main Stage, as the name implies, is the heart of the event. It is the biggest corner in the street that you won't possibly miss. With an easy access, you can always turn your head and see what's going on up there from whichever other corner you're at. As it gets darker, the lights will shine brighter, swinging and lighting the sky with mesmerizing wonderful shapes and small explosions of glitter.
The stage itself will be decorated and charmed differently throughout the event, reflecting the style of art or the music genre of each artist performing whether it's a group, a trio, or solo artists, just be on the lookout for all kinds of performances. You will not be needing any seats around the stage, you will be swinging your hips, spinning, jumping, just dancing as you may while you watch and listen to the artists.
For those who'd like to spend some peaceful time watching, please head over to the seating area, the stage will still be visible from over there.
OOC: It's more fun to enjoy the performers than it is to play for them, so please don't. The Chronicler will announce who's performing.
This was a good day, it was nice outside, she was hand in hand with her husband, and she was out at a public event, so face time and a little campaigning if necessary. Though she wanted most of the day to just be her and Cossy and of course a little of Bart, since he was running around here somewhere. She knew the fifteen year old was too cool for his mother now, so she'd give him his space.
As they made their way towards the stage she was glad he didn't want to go all the way up. It was a little loud for her taste, but that could be showing her age a bit too. After two screaming babies she preferred the more quiet settings. The music was good though and she couldn't help but giggle as her much older husband got teenage like excited over a bad. "Your students? Already on a big stage like this, goodness they must be good." Had Bart spoke of them? She toned out his music most days, so he could very well have and she hadn't noticed.
Looking to the stage as he started naming them she did recognize a few, "They've played Quidditch at school, well before it was canceled." bitter sounding? Yes she was that bloody school had made extra work keeping quidditch away. Her brow did raise as he said West, "As in West Odessa, Professional Quidditch player?" Interesting, the boy seemed to have a time turner possibly? It was the only way to explain how he could be successful in both Professional Quidditch and a band. Both were very hard work and took loads of time, but she wasn't there to judge she was there to have a good time and the music, though not of her liking, wasn't too bad and soon she was dancing a little and nudging Cossy to dance as well.
Cosgrach eagerly nodded. "Well, I only taught them during their last two years," he said as he started getting into the rhythm. He couldn't stand still now. This song was actually pretty catchy and the words were great too! He wondered if it was a cover or their own song.
"Oh, you recognise them!" It wasn't a question, he'd just momentarily forgotten some of them would be playing professional Quidditch. "West Odessa, yes." That boy. He grinned as if West his own son, but before he could say something, they finished the song. He started clapping... but maybe that wasn't 'hip' anymore. Hmm. Oh, West answered his question: it was their own song. The old man was impressed, because it was a great one. He hoped he could catch one of them later to congratulate them. As for now...
"WE AAAAAARE!" he shouted on top of his lungs at West's question, hands on the sides of his mouth to be heard (it was impossible, but you know), not caring at all that he might be embarrassing himself. When the boy asked it again, he yelled a "YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!" and eagerly waited for their next song.

"I'm just glad I'm here with you."
Joăo eagerly complied and wrapped his arm around her shoulders and he swayed too, just for Mags' sake. Or else, he wouldn't have moved an inch for them. He kissed her head to answer her. It wasn't so loud at where they were standing, but he wasn't a man of many words anyway. Besides, he wanted to listen to the lyrics...
...
......it was funny. It was just a stupid song - actually a nice one, but he'd rather die than admit that - but the lyrics felt like they had been written for him and Aspen. He listened with a neutral face, swaying to the rhythm with Mags, and once it was done, he swallowed his bitterness down.
"What do you think of this? Worth all these... shouts?" He was grinning as he looked at his girlfriend.
Mags simply smiled as she felt his lips brush her hair. There was no place she'd rather be than right here and right now. But seriously... this band wasn't "throw your knickers on stage" amazing like the kids around them seemed to think. But to each their own...
Turning in his arms she shook her head slightly. "No. I do not think so. The other band was better. The lead singer has an annoying voice." Just her opinion and all... But none of that mattered as she lay her head against his chest and squeezed him tight. "I love you," she said quietly. She wasn't sure what was going on with her today... but she was feeling like a big old sap. Sheesh.
Eden finally made her way over to the stage. WHO would she see--Clara? Phe? Cole? ANYONE ELSE? Merlin, her anxiety was like...BOOM BOOM BOOOM right now, going at it in her chest, and she bit her lip as she heard TDK get on.
She had been wanting to see them for AGES now, and she would have liked to be with Phe when she did but--she didn't see his hair anywhere, so she just assumed he'd be along shortly. Merlin. Ruby Banner was COUSIN'S with that guy--WEST ODESSA. Eden just...ugh...she was dying. As she neared the stage, she could have just...leaned on the little separators and stared at West singing ALL DAY.
All day.
She had a LETTER from him, yo! And it was safely snugged in a box in her room right now. And then all of the OTHER band members were HOT TOO. Like...WAS IT THEIR WATER THEY WERE DRINKING AT PRACTICES? Gosh. Eden knew some of the times--she was more familiar with Agro 'cuz PHOENIX reasons--but yeah, they did mostly covers, right? She thought so.
WHY WAS WEST SO ATTRACTIVE. EDEN COULDN'T FATHOM IT. She was dancing and digging this song SOOO much and just...UGH. She had to get his autograph--or all of the--BUT WAIT. BUT. WAIT. Was that CREEPY? it was probably SUPER creepy. Eden would just ask Ruby later.

Ooo, and they'd started with one of their own songs too! That made Penelope even more excited, if that was possible. Their covers were always good, but there was something special about playing songs you'd written. Or at least she imagined so, considering she'd never actually written a song and she certainly wasn't talented enough to write one or even play one.
Anyway, she was happily jamming and dancing along to the song, completely enjoying it. Aaaand then apparently it was over. Merlin, that went by faster than she expected.
Time flew when you were having fun and what not.
She shouted a "YEEAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!" both times West addressed the crowd because YEAH she was having a good time. Great time even.
And she was having SUCH a great time that when Ascanius took off his shirt, she let out a REALLY LOUD CHEEEEEEEERRRRR WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Ahem.
What? Who'd shouted? Probably some over excited fangirl or something. Ahem. Totally wasn't her. Psh.

Nigel did not think this whole bouncing around the stage thing because now he was sweating r...which means his hair was disgusting. It still looked awesome but he would rather it not be you know sweating ....Yeah.Everything was going great. He was doing his thing. Listening when he could to Ves and West sing Sticky. Still a lot cooler hearing it live instead of in practice.
Nigel just grinned and shrugged back. They were not taking a break this quickly into the set.
Then he got a full on dripping wet shirt hitting him on the back of his head.It was only for a few seconds. But still that thing was covered in sweat. Drummer sweat....and on his hair.
SO ANNOYING..
And no he was not ready for the next song now., thank you very much. Scan did not need his shirt back anytime soon and West was busy with the crowd and talking and stuff. So He threw the shirt close at Vesper....just because.
Now where were we..ah yes the second song.

Jim squeezed back, feeling like his hand was in a little ball of energy! Merlin, her excitement was great, the crowd seemed to be responding accordingly, which meant her friend's had great stage presence.
But the song had ended and the crowd was cheering, so he cheered with them and her. "They're really good." He leaned in and said in her ear. He wondered how many songs they had.
Look how NATURAL they were up there - Ascanius was being a git, as per usual, throwing his shirt at poor Nigel like that. Why did he insist on wearing as few clothes as possible on stage? She got that it was warm, but she was also like, 1000000000234923% sure he did it because it meant the fangirls would look at his body
She smiled and nodded enthusiastically when Jim spoked into her ear... "I'm just so proud of them!" Derry finally tore her gaze away from the stage, her eyes pretty much filled with tears of pride and joy. "They've worked so hard for this!!" She let go of his hand and slipped her arm around his waist, squeezing him gently before the next song started. Geez, this was making her all mushy. Ew.

PHOENIX WAS HERE! He may have been slightly late but that was entirely Krystal's fault for going on a pre-gig baking spree and making those delicious cookies. Anyway, he'd finally managed to drag himself out of the bus - they'd brought the tour bus down so they could stay at the festival with ease - and sprinted towards the stage. He paused for a second, just to gaze at them...
Holy mother of... they were so pretty. If he'd been a cartoon, hearts would be bouncing out of his eyes right now, but as it were, he just got himself distracted for a second. Then took off again, pushing his way to the crowd, but then he saw...
"Paradise!" he yelled her name, but was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to hear him over the music and crowds, so pushed his way towards her, where he wrapped his arms around her waist and spun her around for a kiss. "I was hoping I'd see you here." he said, a smirk playing about his lips, but then something happened on stage and he glanced back up, arms still wrapped around her waist.

Jim saw the look in her eyes, a teary look that suggested how much this really meant to her and how proud of her friends she was. This made him feel important because she wanted him there at a moment that clearly meant a good deal to her. But he was trying to keep from reading into things.
"I can only imagine." He said and smiled as she moved her arm around his waist. He put one of his around her and squeezed back. He wasn't sure he'd seen Derry convey so many emotions before. But the next song was starting, his gaze wandered back from her to the stage and the bassist with a shirt on his head.

...
Okay.
...
That was cool with him.
He didn't have to stop there.
Staring at West Odessa was put to a halt because her BOOOO was here. Well. One of them. And she would never tell anyone aloud that she had just THOUGHT the word 'boo' and put it together with "Phoenix." Nooope. Clara would never even let her live that DOWN--if she could get over being mad at her for even making up with Phoenix. Though Eden...ugh.
Emotions.
Feelings.
They kind of sucked sometimes. But the kissing didn't--and Phoenix kissed her--and Eden kissed BACK all smuglike--YEAH PHOENIX KISSES, EVERYONE HA--but then he was staring on stage and Eden KNEW what that was about--shirtless pretty-boy--Eden didn't know his NAME. Also he seemed super happy, which in turn, made Eden feel....well, very happy. Because a happy Phoenix meant a happy life....right? Wasn't that how the saying went?
Also, again, Eden was dancing a bit to the music too. WHEEEEE "GLAD TO SEE YOU HERE!" she shouted at him over the music...the wonderful music...

Libby guzzled a bottle of water after coming off the stage, and she tentatively hugged her band mates (sweaty boys... no thanks) before making her way out into the audience. It was nice to support the other acts performing, especially young and struggling bands that reminded her of their early days on the road.
Near the stage, she spotted their very willing victim still vibrating with energy from her close encounter with Chord. Grinning, Libby tapped the girl on the shoulder. "Hi again."
Merlin, it was noisy down here, wasn't it? A bit heavy on the bass for her tastes, but the band worked together well and weren't just making noise up there like sometimes happened with new bands.
Amelia was vibrating. Part of that was probably how LOUD things were and how that kind of volume could be felt. But part of it was definitely just euphoria. What a summer. The summer before her last year of school. Merlin.
So it maybe didn't matter at all who was playing at this point. She was going to dance until she absolutely couldn't anymore... except.. someone was touching her.
Amelia swung around mid-jump to see who it was and her eyes went wide. No. There was NO FREAKING WAY. No. This was not reality. No. What? Merlin's favorite fudgesickles. Amelia blinked, sure she was imagining it. What on earth would Libra Wintringham want with her? Her getting pulled on stage was the luckiest thing ever, but it was part of the act. This was.. randomly. Surely it was a mistake, but no.. hi again.

Because he was the one who loved her the most. Yep.

He'd only been distracted for like... a SECOND, okay? Because he had his arms round his very own pretty person right here. He just... Ascanius was a very distracting human being. Everyone on that stage was a distracting human being. It was easy to get sidetracked with them flaunting and playing so incredibly well. Part of it gave Phoenix a little pang of jealousy - the kind you get when you see someone already achieving something you'd dreamed of your whole life. He didn't begrudge them the success though, he thought they were incredible.
Phoenix nodded and grinned at Eden's words, there wasn't any point in damaging his voice by shouting over the music, he wanted to get in as much singing along as was possible. So he gave Eden another kiss - on her cheek this time - and grabbed her hands to dance with her. He was feeling bouncy and silly, and this came out in his dancing. Even if they were right at the front, he had no qualms about enjoying the music and possibly making a fool out of himself - he was just having fun!
Vinnie had finally made it to the festival. She wasn't sure if this had been a good move but music was supposed to cheer her up. There was no way she could hide for the whole of summer...and this seemed to be a good opportunity to be surrounded by people again. A bit drastic but still. Hopefully she wouldn't see anyone she wasn't prepared to see. Like him or his new lovely girlfriend or whatever she was. If so, there was a possibility of throwing up on either of them.
Arriving at the main stage the thoughts quickly disappeared as the music got to her ears and seemed to fill her up inside. This was exactly why the brunette loved it so much. It completed her. Whenever she was drumming herself, everything else just disappeared for a moment. Standing there nodding her head to the music Vinnie hoped this had been a good idea.

West's showmanship never surprised Vesper....and the same could be said about Nigel and Ascanius, too. When they performed, her boys, it was like she was also part of the crowd.....Part of the fans eager for an amazing show.
It was just a very special, spectacular sight to see.
As far as the music went....Nothing felt better than having songs that they could call their own; songs written and created by their own hands. Like Sticky.....Ves vocally accompanied where it was required and beat her tambourine against her hip in an exuberant fashion; attached TDK scarf flying about with the movement. The guitar and bass chords were strong and moving...and reverberated deep in the soul...buuuuuuuut maybe that was just because she was so close to the action; being right on stage in the mix. The drums, too. Ascanius was relentless in his pounding, beating out shockwaves of noise. GOOD noise, though. Ves had gotten over the things. It COULD be beautiful....and even more so with how Scan did it. NOT THAT SHE'D EVER TELL MR. EGOTISTICAL THAT.
When the music of the first song died out, West began playing up the crowd....as she side-glanced Ascanius and Nigel's exchange.....only to have Scan's sweaty shirt flung at her face. Ves would've tossed her tambourine right back at Nigel's head...if she didn't care about causing serious brain damage...and hurting said tambourine. Boys could be so gross.
ANYWAY........Yes, their songs! However, despite having new material, they did still partake in the occasion cover or two.......like the one they were about to do now. It wasn't for lack of musical creativity for them....but showing homage to their musical idols. The bands and songs that inspired them to do what they did.
West's guitar was already cutting through the night air and Ves gripped the mic with her left hand, the other poised with her instrument. "Keep you in the dark...You know they all pretend." It was only West, Nigel....and her voice. Vesper gazed out across the crowd, not able to pick out faces.....but meeting them, anyway...her tone shifting and rising with the lyrics. "Keep you in the dark....and so it all begins."
..........and there were the drums. West riffed and then Ascanius and Nigel came in like a electrified pulse. She ripped the mic off the stand and walked with it...making the lyrics sound almost like an accusation. They were heartfelt and very much REAL.
"Send in your skeletons
Sing as their bones go marching in... again
The need you buried deep
The secrets that you keep are ever ready
Are you ready?
I'm finished making sense
Done pleading ignorance
That whole defense."
Lots of hair was being thrown about and Ves might've done a bit of headbanging, only to rake her fingers through the black mass after; fully giving herself over to the music as she punctuated each word. This particular jam was quintessential rock; loud and adrenaline-inducing. It was impossible not to take on the role completely.
"What if I say I'm not like the others?
What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays?
You're the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender?"
Ves jumped with the words; heeled feet coming off the stage floor. Thank you, Dora....for teaching her how to walk in them. Seriously. She could've seemed like some angry pixie with the violence currently bouncing around the stage. Their playing had a violent edge, though....all passion, adrenaline, and vigor. And the course was FULL OUT. Ascanius wailing on the set...and West and Nigel 'being one' with their instruments.
It continued on in this brutal fashion, approaching the bridge and Ves hung onto West for this next series of lyrics. Mainly because she could and there weren't any cares given.......and he was drenched with sweat...but she didn't care. They were all sweaty. It happened.
"I'm the voice inside your head
You refuse to hear
I'm the face that you have to face
Mirrored in your stare
I'm what's left, I'm what's right
I'm the enemy
I'm the hand that will take you down
Bring you to your knees...."
She'd been singing close to his ear....but then had stalked away....moving towards the crowd and clenching her fist, nestling it against her chest. Ves had even dropped to one knee, bent over with the effort of each word. "So who are you?.....Yeah, who are you?.....Yeah, who are you?....Yeah, who are you?"
The melody they'd created was then pulled back to the bare bones from the very beginning of the song.....and it was an almost whispered...."Keep you in the dark....You know they all pretend...."...and then a screamed...."Yeah!"
After several more rounds of HARD HITTING course and vicious tambourine banding, Vesper heaved a deep breath and grinned stupidly up at Ascanius....and then Nigel......and then over at West because RAWR. Guitar be on POINT, yo.
.....She might've wanted to say something to the crowd....but was ultimately too shy to do so and just settled on BEAMING like some invalid. Sometimes expressions were enough. They could speak louder than words. Like art.
....She'd worked herself up to it. Maybe later in the set...

The songs were good, interesting, catchy. Jim was enjoying it and thought maybe he needed to do things like this more often. It was something he liked about hanging out with Derry, she made him feel young, not that he always felt old but he knew he was getting there. He was just heavily in denial.
He looked to the drummer, so this was the best friend he had heard about. "The one you told me about, yeah?" Well, he had heard little things about some of her friends but the name Ascanius came up the most. He felt a little nervous, he wasn't sure what this best friend would think of him, would it effect He and Derry? And whatever they were? Yupp he was certainly nervous about meeting her friends now. But he would play it cool, cause he was Jim Finch, so why would he need to be worried?

Also, she made sure to arrive just in time for The Dead Kneazles, because that's the only band she was looking forward to see, truth be told. And while more than enough time to spare, she'd rather spend it doing things she liked. So, just TDK for her, thank you.
How exciting it was, to see her friends up there!
Best. Night. Ever. Sort of.
These Dead Kneazles were getting this crowd excited. And this was good for WWN, which was in turn good for WWN employee Paulie Foster. So, plaaaay on, TDK. Play on. Get these fans crazy.
Or, you know. CraziER.
Now Paulie was technically on a short break from working, and now that he'd gotten some very healthy, totally ungreasy fried food, he decided to worm his way into the crowd by the main stage.

She missed this. Crowds and young people and her friends performing. It was only a month, but one stuck in a house with old people so the almost nineteen year old had been very deprived of this kind of social interaction. Among other things.
Dora's hips were swaying this way and that as the band started their first song and worked into the second. They were good and the original song was pretty awesome. The music had her wanting to dance but it was the proformances that had her mostly watching them and obligatory cheering when it was demanded of the crowd.
Also shirtless drummer. She highly approved of that and looked to the other members of the group to join in on that fun, but was sadly disappointed.
At least Ves was rocking it out up there in some killer shoes.
That girl was amazing.

This group was Rockin. The lead was amazing and hot! Wiggenweld, she was going to have to remember that name, though she was sure she had heard their songs before. Plus the chick on the side of her wasn't a drama queen about a drink being spilled on her. Double awesome, she was going to continue to dance with this one. Pushing her hair off her shoulder she turned more to face her new dance partner.
Looking down at her cup she turned her eyes towards the food stations on the other end of the festival, "Over there, though I should have gotten a bigger one, this one isn't going to last too long. Here want a sip?" She was certainly a giver, so she didn't mind sharing her drink.
Looking back to the stage she nodded, just as the singer started to slow things down, "OMG!! I love this one!" She swayed a bit to the music, "Yeah they are good." Fully getting into the music again she swayed and sung until the end. "I'm Madelyn by the way."
Her eyes moved to the stage, they were done? They just started. UGH! The next group looked like they just left their mother's lap. "We could go get some more drinks if you want." Or she could stay and dance to this group, she was up for anything really.
Coming out to this music festival today had been such a good idea. Wiggenweld put on an amazing show and she was really rocking out to their music. Starting to dance again as they got into their next song, she turned more to the girl at her side who seemed to be having just as much of a great time. She must be a fan too. Cool.
She glanced behind her to where the woman was looking, her ponytail flipping over her shoulder. Figured there was a food and drink area. Esme really should have checked there first, but she didn't really want to miss the music. Who knew how long they'd be playing with a bunch of other acts supposedly playing here as well. "Good to know, thanks!" She turned back with a smile. "Hate to leave the show though.." She glanced at the woman's cup, somewhat surprised by the offer, soon shrugging and figuring what the hell. "Sure, thanks." Esme took a sip then handed her the cup back. Not bad. She had to get her own soon. Maybe if there was an intermission soon.
"Sweet!" she yelled up to the stage as the band went into one of her favorite ballads. Esme swayed to the music, singing along with the lyrics. And then.. was this really happening? Chord was going to personally serenade someone and her hand shot up as she bounced on her heels. Then she watched with slight jealousy as another girl got pulled up on the stage. Not that she figured she'd really get picked anyway so she was content with dancing to that song too.
And she was happy to have someone to dance with. Esme smiled over at the woman as she introduced herself. "Hi! I'm Esme." Then she looked up to the stage in disappointment. "What.. ?" But they had just gotten started, how were they done already? The next band seemed alright, but they were no Wiggenweld. Not bad for a bunch of teenagers, she supposed. Nodding with a grin as Madelyn suggested they get drinks, she agreed. "I think it's a perfect time." She could still enjoy the music, but she needed a drink and her favorites were done anyway.

The stage was dark. Many people had their wands in the air with the tip lit. She heard the chant TDK TDK TDK. They really had a bunch of fans. She didn't join in but she clapped along with the chant. Her brown eyes, glued to the stage. When she lights came on she beamed up. There they were. Cinna couldn't help but to yell out.
"VESSSSSSPERRR!!! Wooooo!!"
It was Vesper. As beautiful as ever. There she was her idol, her role model. They even had the same last name different spelling but that was besides the point. And the guys they looked great as always. The first song started playing and she clapped along to the beat.
Whaaaaaaat was all this? Dot was allowed to come to Diagon Alley for some school supplies, and she ran into a ROCK CONCERT THING. It made her sad to see the band performing without the people who actually really liked them.
Dot liked them just fine, but Dima looooooooved them. The Nigel one with the hat. Maybe she'd wiggle her fingers at him and practice eyelashing. And speaking of flirting, THERE WAS HER FLIRTING TUTOR IN THE FLESH.
"CINNAAAAAAAA." Dot hugged the older girl's arm. "Hi! There's a band! On the Alley! Where we are!" WHAT WAS THIS MADNESS?

If not, we could pick up something later." Shrug.
How long could the girl blush for? Because it had been going on for a bit, yeah? Was it because of him? He really didn't regret any of his actions. Instead, Alec grinned in response, very much amused with the blushing and sheepishness. She didn't know what he was talking about? [B]"You know exactly what I'm talking about, Bishop."[B] The hand squeeze was much appreciated and it made the boy smile smile wider because of it. Nice, this was. They could stay like that here forever, yeah? "Yeah? So... has she finished uni?" And why did he get the feeling Sophs would try and have a funfetti wedding cake?
The song was catchy and nice, meaning that the band were really good. The hand waving continued right up until...
... ... Uh oh. Oh no.
A VERY sheepish expression crossed his face and he almost looked like a deer that had been caught in deadlines. Almost. Because the question was new and he, himself, couldn't believe that something like that had happened. "I... the song's catchy!" That was a good reason, right? "Well... that depends on if I've stepped on your toes yet." Alec's blue eyes glanced down at her feet in case, but his hips continued to wiggle around as the next song started up. This wasn't bad but he wasn't going to tell the girlfriend that. Not when he was currently trying to twirl her out in time to the slow tune that was playing.
"Sounds like a plan, Summers." No starving, okay? They'd figured it out after dancing. DANCING. 'Cause he was dancing today.
Ella did know and she tried very hard to play dumb but her smile betrayed her. Yes, she did these things on purpose and no, she wasn't sorry. Okay, maybe she was sorry a tiny bit."I think she'll be done after this year, actually." The blonde furrowed her brow thoughtfully, not entirely sure that was true. She couldn't recall exactly how long Soph's
program lasted but she knew the brunette was close to being done.
...
She was having so much fun, did he know? The stupid grin was plastered to her face as he spun her out and she did her best to tell him how impressed she was with his skills over the music, though it was quite loud. The fact that he was dancing so much meant a lot too because she knew he wasn't really a fan and she appreciated it because she loved it. He'd be getting kisses later, just saying.
When the lights went out, the blonde grabbed hold of Alec's hand and tugged him closer to the stage, leaving a chorus of 'excuse mes' and 'pardon mes' in her wake. She MIGHT have even nudged a few of the rowdier fans out of the way and would inevitably feel guilty about it later but their classmates were playing now, see? She wanted to have a good spot for this.
And then they were rocking out and Ella grinned and dancing happened again, her eyes flicking from the band members she'd gone to school with to Alec and back again. They were good, yeah? Did Alec see Nigel's hair? Still great. And their original songs? The blonde felt proud of them and it's not like she'd ever been particularly close to any of the people on stage but she admired them for sticking with what she understood to be a really hard thing to get into. They'd gone from Hogwarts to a stage like this and it seemed like it'd be just the start for them too. They'd only be doing bigger and better things from here based on the roar of the crowd and it was exciting to witness, even from afar. How could you not be proud and a little bit envious of people who were having their dreams coming true? It was hard not to be proud.

Cinna was really having a great time. She had never*actually been to a concert. Well a concert like this. Full out rock concert with shirtless guys and everything. She continued clapping along to the music all the way to the last beat of the first song.
She shouted back a yeah to West. And again this time much much louder. This band was amazing. She really didn't want this night to end. This was a blast. She was enjoying this alone but she really didn't care. She was having fun. Soooo.... Now the band was headed into their second song. She did not take her eyes off of the stage. Since she was alone that meant that she could dance like no one was looking. With a band like this no one was going to be looking at her.
This song was all Vesper. She clapped along to this song too. Just as the fifteen year old was about to get into a grove and bust a move there was some major arm hugging going on. For the first time since they had announced the band her brown eyes left the stage. Looking down to see who was hugging her arm.
Dot! "Dottttiiieee!" She gave her a small squeeze and nodded. "Yeah... Are these guys awesome or what?" She beamed down at the younger girl.

Oh, SEE? Cinna was totally glad to see her. Dot grinned broadly and let the older girl go. She didn't want to come off as too clingy. That was a thing, apparently. 'Too clingy'. Not a thing Dot wanted attached to her person, either.
"Yeah. They're... good. Loud and good." It didn't help she was right in front of a speaker and didn't actually know any of the songs. Dot loved to dance, but she wasn't sure she knew how to dance at the moment. She spun on one foot and stretched out her arms, almost like she was trying to let the music wrap up around her and spin her away like dandelion fluff. There. Now she felt it.
Still loud, though. "Dance with me?" It meant they couldn't make eyes at the band, but Dot wanted to ride on the rhythm now that she found it, and she'd prefer not to ride alone.

"Amelia." That was a nice name. Old fashioned, but then so was Libby. Merlin knew she was glad for a name like Libra when it came time to promote the band, because Libby or Elizabeth would only get scheduled in concert halls.
"You're fine. Really. You haven't asked me to sign anything unusual, you didn't try to lick my hand or steal some of my hair. As far as fans go, you're being totally normal and very charming." And it was kind of loud, so Libby hoped that Amelia had caught all that and wasn't under the impression that she was being invited to do any of those things.
"And thanks. I dig our sound too. Have you been to one of our shows before?"

She was snapped out of her uncontrollable fangirl possession when she could have sworn she heard her name above all the chanting and screaming and music playing and sweaty shirt tossing. Circling her head around, she scanned the area for any sign of her name being spoken. Instead of connecting with a face, someone connected with her. In a tightly wound hug.
Rorie pulled her head back far enough to see was holding her to find it was just her darling cousin, MariGoldWinner. Thank Marina it wasn't one of those affectionate weirdos at concerts. "HIIIIIIIII!!" She drawled out, trying to decipher the words coming out of Marigold's fast moving lips and her occasional pointing. Rorie simply nodded and replied, "OKAY." Safe guess.

She didn't mind how close she was Phe--NOPE NOT AT ALL NOPE--and even if he was staring at someone else's prettiness--well, he WAS pretty--she was glad. GLAD.
WHOAWHOAWHOA! SHE KNEW THIS SONG! DEC PLAYS IT ALL THE TIME!!
She swiveled her head around to share with Marigold her excitement of being able to sing along to this song, when the pink haired wonder spotted the one girl who could make her heart flutter. And that's what it did, it fluttered. Just for a few seconds until her sky-coloured-gem-for-eyes turned around and kissed that glitter of a puff. The flutter turned to empty heaviness and the excitement on her face dropped to a frown, then some sort of anger. In which she turned back around to the stage in time to sing along with the super hot lead singer, "so, who are you....yeah, Who Are You...YEAH, WHO ARE YOU...YEAH, WHO ARE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!" Her tiny little body shaking with every syllable.
Her eyes were fixed on the people on stage - maybe more on West than the other three - and right then she didn't care about anything else. She didn't care that people kept bumping into her. She didn't care that there were girls and boys literally squealing into her ear. She didn't care that she'd felt like hell just a few moments earlier. She didn't care about any of it.
All that mattered right now was that West was up there and that she was SO proud of him.
Olly looked up at Józsua when he put an arm around her. She noticed the tears and she understood. It was exactly how she felt right now too. With a smile she reached up to run her fingers over cheek for a second, careful NOT to wipe the tears away. They should stay there. It was cute. She then brought her attention back to West the band.
Leaning against Józsua's side she nodded in agreement to his words. "It's....unreal somehow." And it was perfect.
Józsua smiled softly when Olly stroked his cheek.. obviously she'd noticed the tears. He didn't feel embarrassed, however. He never felt foolish around Olly. Her expression said she understood. But Merlin, if he felt overwhelmed by things, how did the band feel? The response they were getting exceeded expectations.
He gave Olly a squeeze as she leaned into him. Unreal, yea.. that was the word. He rested his head on Olly's--happy just to watch and listen and not bop around like some of the other fans... smiling amused when Ascanius chucked his top at Nigel.. then at Vesper. On stage banter was always entertaining.
And onto the next song. A cover this time. Ves walked the stage, owning it. That sweet girl from school looked like such a star up there. And West's guitar(—Józsua never did get those lessons, which was probably just as well. His musical talent was virtually none existent).
He leaned closer to Olly to speak, his eyes still trained on the stage. “They're gonna be massive, aren't they?” It wasn't even a biased comment because of who was on stage, but because you could hear it.

West was definitely working up a sweat now, they all were, and after Vesper sang one of their favourite Foo Fighters songs, a muggle song they often liked to do, the band followed up with a couple of other covers, keeping the energy up since the crowd was responding so well to it. As tribute to one of their particular inspirations in wrock, West sang a flirtatious and upbeat rendition of Disorder of the Phoenix's What's that baby, you've never seen a Basilisk before?, and Vesper followed with the soulful Dark Mark on my Heart, before West switched guitars and they did a duet of another muggle cover, Celebrity Status, by Mariana's Trench, one of their staples for performance. All the while of course, Nigel and Ascanius did their thing. If you asked West, TDK wouldn't be what it was without them.
After jumping around the stage with a near insane amount of energy and jamming hard with Nigel in particular, the bass and the guitar almost dueling each other, West returned to the microphone, and addressed the crowd again while Vesper got herself sorted for the next song, and Nigel and Scan gulped down drinks.
"Alright! Now I know you were all here earlier and got to see Wiggenweld up here."
He cupped his ear, encouraging cheers for the previous band.
"Here's a little bit of something most of you won't know, Chord Applebee used to be my guitar teacher for a couple of years." Lucky West, right? He grinned. Yeah he had a lot of respect for the guy, and for his band in general.
"He taught me how to do this," West picked out an impressively gnarly riff. "And this," He switched to something a little more complex, very recognizably a Wiggenweld tune. "And then when he was done teaching me what he knew, well we'd just play all night, feeling the music right from our feet," --this, punctuated by a deep bass chord from Nigel and a single thumping beat from Ascanius-- " up into the gut, and," --the punctuation became a steady heartbeat inspired rhythm-- "And right through the heart."
His own playing changed to something slower, a definite ballad. It was about time for a slow jam.
"....And that's where this next one comes from, the heart. From ours to yours. Cry Me a River, Baby." He stepped back from the microphone, concentrating on his guitar, since this one was all Vesper with that beautiful voice of hers. As for who or what the song was about? Well that would depend on exactly who had written it, and nobody needed to know that part, none of The Dead Kneazles would give away who had written what. He looked over at Vesper as the intro music came together with her cue to start singing and gave her a wink. Time for her to break some hearts.
Cry me a river, baby
to prove your love is true
cry me a river, darling
you know I'd do the same for you
And everybody talks 'bout us
its down to faith and trust
two things you're sure to lose
if you don't cry me a river, baby
I don't know what I'll do
Cry me a river, love
to prove you love me too
Cry me a river, sweetheart
if you don't I'll be blue
You say that I don't care that much
that maybe our love's too tough
but hey, this song's for you
boy, cry me a river sometime
or I'll be leavin' you

Justine was a bit fly, okay no, she was really fly, super fly like that Missy Elliot song. She’d met up with Sol earlier and after a negotiation that had gone better than she’d expected he’d presented her with the lollipops that she’d been so craving lately, and though she wasn’t one to eat sweets alone, she had thought; what the hell, why not?
Fly-stine swayed as the slower tempo song started up, the melody and lyrics hitting her like waves, she was feeling it; the music.
“Cry me a river, love, to prove you love me toooo, cry me a river… “ She sand along, her hand in the air, still swaying her body side to side, completely not even paying any mind to the crowd around her, just focused on the music and the band.
Damien didn’t know this song, hadn’t heard it before, not on the radio, not hummed, nope, nope. It wasn’t bad though, it just wasn’t what he was into at the moment. He drank from his butterbeer and searched the crowd spotting the tell-tale pink hair of Rorie Hazelwood, and not far from her was Captain big hair and Eden McGee, he’d have to pop over and say hello, after those two were done kissing; 'cause chat would just be weird, like, really weird, ‘cause he kind of flirted with both of them.
The American bobbed his head to the music, and swayed, maybe he would pop over before attacking Ror. So he knocked down the rest of his drink and stumbled his way through the crowd toward Big Hair and Eden, and tapped them both on the shoulder. Thankfully they were not kissing.
"Hey yo," He said in greeting, blue eyes crinkling as he grinned.
