Music isn't the only art form being showcased at this year’s Wizarding Wireless Network Music Festival. While you stroll along the middle of the street getting lost in the music, you might find yourself in front of a canopied space showcasing the best of body art from your friendly local artists at Paradise Piercings & Tattoos. The logo is prominently showcased and the space has the familiar Island feel that the shop is known for. Luckily for you, the artists here are known for their quality skills so why not stop in and channel your inner rock star. Surely some ink would be a welcome addition to this art-filled afternoon.
When you step into the tent, you’ll notice a large display table to your right. This is where you can go to feast your eyes on original artwork, Paradise merchandise, and cased display of tattooing equipment for those interested in the trade. There’s also a list of services offered ranging from face painting to temporary tattoos and everything in between. Henna has been especially popular this summer so why not dabble in something new?
To the left you’ll find a padded table and a padded chair, both for those wishing to get something done by the qualified and keen artists awaiting your arrival. Why not pick a design that appeals to you and take a seat. The canopy offers welcome shade from the July heat and you’ll still be able to hear the rockin’ tunes from the festival as if you were right by the stage. Whether you’re just here to look or wanting to see what a tattooed you would feel like, your time in this space is sure to be worth your while.
Be sure to take a business card on your way out. It's rumored that once you get inked, you're likely to want to come back for more.
OOC: This thread is manned by Charlie Anderson (TakemetotheBurrow), Fletcher (BanaBatGirl), and James McLeod (sarahlooo). Please play WITH them, not for them.

Her eyes moved from the display of tattoos to her best friend when she showed up, and she was very pleased that the first thing she did was take the pseudo microphone out of her face.
"I might, if I find something that interests me." She paused, considering Alice for a moment before adding. "We could get matching ones." It was an idea.

She almost laughed when he mentioned horse shoes and slow dancing. "Luckily for me, I participate in neither of those activities." So her personal space bubble remained intact most of the time. No thanks to you, Paulie Foster.
As for tattoos? This time, Alice actually DID laugh. "Matching face paint art, maybe, but that's as far as I'll go." Her and ink? Good joke, that was.
Dora had already HAD all that he'd HAD to offer. Was she speaking in code? Did she want MORE than a signature? Ahem hem. "FYI, ya've never had my fine penmanship on your skin." He poked her shoulder with the microphone just because. Ah, but she was here all weekend. Two more days to pester her. Lucky Dora.
Where was this hot WWN employee? Where? Paulie shook his head and sighed solemnly. "That's such a shame, 'rora Borealice. Didn't know your eyesight was so bad ya couldn't see a hunky hot man standin' right in front of ya." Very, very sad.
The side of his mouth hitched in a grin as he anticipated a laugh from Alice. But, it seemed to have stopped behind her lips. At which point Paulie's eyes may have lingered a second more on said lips. "Also a shame. Horse shoes can be good fun.."
But, tattoos. They were here for tattoos. Or, well Dora rather. And Alice..? Matching tattoos as suggested by the BFF. Paulie looked between them. But, apparently that was a no-go unless by 'tattoo' Dora meant 'facepaint.' Could see that one coming. He glanced over at a nearby butterbeer drinker and suddenly fancied a drink.
Nowhere, yeah he knew she didn't have one. He just laughed a bit while his eyes moved over the designs. Would she really get one? He wasn't sure he was a ink person permanent or not. He was a unique style without putting any marks on.
Draping an arm over her as she leaned against him, he let his eyes move to the food. "We should get some food soon." He was getting hungry, but he was always hungry. Boredom was kicking in too and he started to focus on other things. "Maybe I should get my ear pierced. Wouldn't I look good." He didn't even know where it came from, but hey it was a change in subject.
His focus went back to the body art when she was asking where. He grinned and acted like he was trying to figure it out. "Oh I know." Leaning and whispering in her ear. He turned, "Hey could she get some help here please." He was chuckling as he waited, she was probably going to end up getting something now whether she wanted to or not. HA!
Cinna just smiled. She was still amused by the whole thing. It was pretty funny. She still wasn't sure about what she wanted. She kept looking at the designs. Although his laugh was distracting her at the moment. She liked it. Now he had his arm around her. This made her really happy.
"I was waiting for you to to say something about food." She laughed, his laugh wasn't the only thing distracting her. Her had the scent of something that smelt like pizza and funnel cake. Both things that were boyfriend shareable. Now she was thinking about food. When he asked about getting his ear pierced. "It's up to you. I think you look good no matter what." She nodded. But really it would be very cool if he did.
Hehe, she knew that she shouldn't have asked him that. She raised her eyebrow. She gave a small giggle when he whispered in her ear. "Yeah?" She smiled. Oh no wait. He was getting one of the artists. Merlin this was really going to happen. She was getting a tattoo , a henna but that was sorta besides the point. She grabbed his hand it wasn't too late to act like he said nothing and make a run for it.
Hey, did you hear that? The food was calling their name...

"'Course I do. I went out and got my beater's bat and bludger as soon as I could." Charlie grinned, recalling the memory fondly. Her father had been living but she didn't have any regrets with her decision to get inked and to become a tattoo artist.
"I'd never force you," The blonde said casually. "I am pretty persuasive when I want to be, though." Her fellow shopkeeper received a wink and a wry smile.
It took Erica a short second to process Charlie's misunderstanding or perhaps it was her own. "Your tattoo, you mean?" She was sure that was what she had meant, a tattoo of a bat and bludger, otherwise she was just slightly confused by that.
A laugh escaped Erica's lips at that statement. "That's part of being a good tattoo artist, wouldn't you say so?" Part of being a any good shopkeeper or business person in fact, that was just sale skills as simple as that. "Perhaps I'll have to come with earplugs just to save myself from your skills." A wide smile was given at that, the thought of wearing those around was just humorous in Erica's eyes.

"I have the perfect design in mind for you..."[/color]
"Being a tough cookie is important these days, at least you've got insurance there." She kept cleaning up her ankle, till she was pleased then nodded at the artist when he asked her if she was ready. She sure was and whether she trusted him or not with his design, well it was only a henna tattoo; nothing permamnent fortunately. "Go for it, surprise me." With that she propped her ankle on the stool before her.

Tyler tilted his head and looked at his wife. It was clear that she hated the idea given that she was not grimacing and bristling. He was highly amused by it all and figured he'd just milk it for all it was worth.

"Yes, mine. That's what I did when I was there age, run off and get tattooed." Charlie smiled, not bothered by whatever misunderstanding had taken place. "Surely you had your rebellious days."
"It's definitely part of the business, yeah. Lucky I'm such a natural." Charlie laughed too, shaking her head. Earplugs, though? "Oh come on, I'm not that bad." She could be that bad, but she usually wasn't with friends.

"That sounds....good," he admitted with a soft smile as he wondered what his could be in response. The same so they matched or something in connection with Angel was the two options that came to mind.
"Not just sure yet," he answered truthfully as a young woman came up to them to assist. Benny nodded before responding to the booth worker. "Actually both of us. We were thinking on getting a henna tattoo."
Henna tattoos, how lovely. Only Charlie wasn't in charge of those today which meant she got to relax and listen to the music while Fletcher and that handsome younger dude did all the work, yeah? She could roll with that.
"See that man over there?" Charlie pointed towards Fletcher (BanaBatGirl), a smile playing on her lips. "He's a henna master and I'm sure he'll be able to fix you both up as soon as he gets a second." She was probably being generous with the Henna Master title, by the way.
"Hey Fletch, got some customers for you."

He nodded at Dax and brightened. "Yeah, we can both get it." They were kind of outnumbered by Hogwarts kids in this crowd, but that was no reason to fade into the background. Opposite even. At least him and Dax had a school to be proud of. "I think you should get it on your chest so it doesn't get all messed up or anything when you bend." He suggested helpfully, beginning to look around for assistance.
"I dunno any of that stuff, but maybe it'll be our turn soon and we can ask."
Soon as in now, right? Angelo looked around.

Merlin he hoped they didn't 'cause he was actually pumped for this now.
Dax nodded along, perfectly fine with the consensus they'd both get something for their school. "Where would you put yours though?" Had to be somewhere you could see, otherwise what was the point of the school pride? If he was getting his on his arm too they could do something like a mirror image. The boy considered the suggestion of his chest for a moment then nodded slowly. "True...we're gonna be doing more sit ups anyway and I can't have it fading so soon." Sooner than it would already fade...really they should ask.
He looked around then, trying to see if any of the artists had gotten free yet because with the questions piling up like this, they were probably getting nowhere.
Charlie had sent off a couple to Fletch for some intricate henna design and was leaning up against the display case, watching the crowd. It was a minute or two before she spotted the two boys looking like they were in need of assistance. Kids, brilliant. Charlie looooved kids. Only not really. She loved her kid and her kid only. Still, she had a job to do. Sitting and looking pretty was only part of the reason she was here.
"Can I help you two?"

The plan was to sit nearby and watch Fletcher work like the hot guy he was, her presence must be like a lucky charm now that she was his girlfriend, right? RIGHT? She heard someone else say it, and she was absolutely sure she was oozing good luck right now.
But after five seconds, she got bored. With all due respect to Fletcher and the customer lady, deeply engaged in a conversation, but Jessa stifled a yawn and started investigating the things and tools on the small table next to them. Oh, ekh, what was that thing that smelled? She crunched up her nose and wiggled the two fingers she touched it with to get rid of it, ekh. But it didn't go off so she subtly wiped them off on the pretty, clean table sheet. Ahem.
That was until she saw two girls who just got here. MORE customers? Ugh, nooooo. Jessa jumped up to them with a too bright of a face, and talked to the nearest of the two. "Hiii! Welcome to the...." She eyeballed the tent quickly. "... tainting--I mean painting Tent!" She made up for her slip in smiles and warm eyes. "How can I help you? I'm at your body's service." Piercings and face painting were allowed, henna tattoos were not. Okay? Okay. Beam.
Happy tattoing. Alright. Was she sticking around to help out or? Fletcher stole a peek at Jessa from the corner of his eye and realized, to his amusement, that she was going to play shopkeeper. Oookay! Hehe. He wasn't going to say anything for now. He'd wait and see how this all played out with a bit of a smirk on his face.
Meanwhile... "Mhmm," Fletcher agreed with Miss Erica as he lightly started applying the dark henna to her ankle. "Now you'll have to stay kind of still as I do this.... it might tickle, but just... don't move, okay?"
He didn't have a particularly complicated pattern in mind, but he'd be able to get it done pretty quickly with her assistance.

Angel smiled at the man as he spoke to her. "Well sir, if it's okay with you, I want a dragon." Angel really wanted a dragon on her arm, that would be amazing if he could do one for her. "I have a question though sir. How old do you have to be to get a real tattoo?" Angel hoped that it wasn't like ancient or something because she wanted a real tattoo as soon as possible.

Jus looked at the young woman, taking in her cheery smile that was just a it too bright, the ditzy behavior and the slip up in words. To anyone else, the act would have been subtle enough to pass unnoticed. But, Justine Janvier was practiced when it came to lying; and a liar can always spot another.
She smiled coolly, her posture straightening and bringing her to her full height. “Excusi-moi?” The French accent fit like an old glove; comfortably and easily. “Oh, oui! My friend and I vould like two henna tattoos, sil vous plait?” Justine haughtily said, flipping back her thick hair.
The Canadian had no idea why this girl was lying or about what, but she couldn’t help replying in kind.

... huh? A foreigner? Jessa got the foreigner customer? Oh the Stars must love her today! But it was no way that Fletcher was going to get held back from dancing with her to deal with yet ANOTHER customer (that lady was already dumping customers on him, hmph!). Also, this brunette... the haughty look and the hair flipping? Yes, that didn't go over Jessa's head, those were her THING. So in reaction, she passed a hand through her long silky hair and let out a haughty chuckle.
"Really? Henna? With that skin?" She looked at the girl's neck, in what could be deciphered only as fake beauty-and-health judgement. "I mean, I appreciate your bravery, not everyone decide to go against their weakness point like that." Geddit? Because the girl's skin was not as sandpapery as sandpaper? "I'd say some face-painting would be more festive for you!" Shoo, shoo to that other hot guy in the tent. Shooooooo.

Paige had actually been sort of gutted when no snowy owls had taken to her at the shop, but she loved her Eurasian pygmy owl so it all worked out in the end anyway.
Her attention went back to the make-up artist person, her elbows resting on her knees and chin in her hands as she leeeeeeeeaned forward to make sure she didn't miss anything. It was sort of an awkward perspective, however. She could see right up the man's nose.
"Is it hard to become a face painter?" she asked while trying to move her head into a position where she wasn't able to count his nose hairs. "Do you know how to do henna?" Was it the same as face painting? She still hadn't looked up the word in her dictionary, but watching him paint Nicole's face was almost more interesting than understanding what words meant - and THAT was saying something.
"Yup! You might have heard of my dad," she said proudly as she rocked in place. "He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Prophet." So he really should do an excellent job painting her new friend's face so she could make sure there were really nice things to say about him in the Prophet.
While he painted the one girl's face, he listened to the other girl's questions as she nearly stared up his nose. It didn't bother him. Kids were cute.
First question: Was it hard to become a face-painter? "Eh, not really for me. You just have to be creative and have a steady hand." Paint in the eyeballs was not fun. Second question: Did he know how to do henna? "I don't. But that handsome fella over there sure does," he said, gesturing to Fletcher. Tall dark and handsome and artistic. What more could you ask for?

"Where do you plan on going to Uni?" he inquired next, dabbing more paint onto her cheeks.

Oh...
Oh...what?
It took him a few moments..a few long moments but eventually his grin faded and his lips curled into a frown, then he stepped back from her.
Only once had he heard those words utter from anyone close to him and even then it was said to someone in confidence but he had over heard.
"What?" Maybe he just hadn't heard her correctly or maybe she had lost her bloody mind.

Yes?
"They were words that came from somewhere." And he couldn't believe they came from her. Maybe if they were home and away from the crowd he'd have allowed the hurt to show on his face and maybe he'd yell at her...maybe she'd see the veins standing on the side of his neck because he'd be clenching his teeth so hard..or maybe he would have just stormed out.
But he did not want to make a scene.
He stepped back from her and shook his head. "No." No you couldn't just say that and continue as you were and yes..yes this was an issue for him.

He stepped back from her and shook his head. "No." No you couldn't just say that and continue as you were and yes..yes this was an issue for him.
Oh FIDDLESTICKS, why, TYLER, WHY?
“They came from my mouth. Not from my heart.. or my brain.” She watched him. Oh come ON! As if she'd mean something like that after all the fighting she did to get him and KEEP him!
“I love you. You know that. And I was having fun before this silliness.” She let a pout fall her lips... her expression was soft.
“I'll let you off the whole house elf thing if you forgive me.” She added. Even though she REALLY wanted to do that. She can't have meant it if she'd let him off those duties, could she?

He stared at her long and hard until finally his fists resurfaced from his pockets.
"I'm so mad at you." He stated quietly. "We don't make empty threats...I don't make empty threats..and you don't." Tyler maintained the distance between them.
"Do you remember when you left me?" Because he did quite clearly." I begged you not to go..I begged you to come back and I searched for you...and you didn't." And that broke him so bad, worse than he'd ever admit. "We don't make empty threats Piper." He did soften considerably when she started pouting however.
He ignored her comments about the elf thing."Don't do that again." His voice was stern and his brows were furrowed from being so perplexed with her. Don't scare him. "Divorce isn't an option for us."

As for tattoos? This time, Alice actually DID laugh. "Matching face paint art, maybe, but that's as far as I'll go." Her and ink? Good joke, that was.

"Become famous, and then I may change my mind about wanting your signature on my skin." Right now though, she had no interest in it. Why would she? It wouldn't beat out all the other stuff she had from him.
After a moment of consideration, she glanced back at her best friend with a ghost of a smile. "Okay then, face paint art it is." She would take what she could get right now, so Dora took Alice's hand and led them over to where they were doing face paints. "Misha, you can find someone with a camera to take out picture." Because who knew when she'd get to be able to do this again? She wanted proof.

Maybe she was at the body art station? It was a possibility.
Justine walked over, butterbeer in hand, searching the small line for a familiar face only to see one she hadn’t expect.
“Mermaid,” Justine said, grinning as she nudged the pretty red head, pleased as always to see her young friend, naturally the girl looked as lovely and as fresh as ever, meanwhile Jus was sure she must look a mess – actually, the girl looked as well put together and effortlessly beautiful as she always did – “I didn’t know you were coming here,” If she had she would’ve met with her way sooner.
Hearing her nickname, Lux was pleased to see Justine. "I didn't know you would be here either," she said as she gave her friend a hug. Justine was looking amazing today - like always - and it was putting her to shame when it came to her own appearance.
It had been a few weeks since they had seen each other, and that sucked, but then the summer could be a very busy time and Lux was seeing so many different people and doing so many different things that sometimes she went for a few weeks without seeing certain friends. That didn't mean she didn't love them though!

Piercings and face painting were allowed, henna tattoos were not. Okay? Okay. Beam.
When the woman approached them, Lux smiled. She seemed friendly which was always nice because she didn't particularly want her face painted by someone who was mean.
Nodding along to what Justine said, she couldn't wait to have her henna done because it was sure to look really pretty. It was exciting and she couldn't wait to see what it looked like after. "Yes, and can I also have my face painted?" That was possible, right? Because she DID want to have her face painted.

SPOILER!!: Angelo and Dax
Charlie had sent off a couple to Fletch for some intricate henna design and was leaning up against the display case, watching the crowd. It was a minute or two before she spotted the two boys looking like they were in need of assistance. Kids, brilliant. Charlie looooved kids. Only not really. She loved her kid and her kid only. Still, she had a job to do. Sitting and looking pretty was only part of the reason she was here.
"Can I help you two?"
"Well, since you said please." Charlie wandered over to the kids who'd requested help and eyed them both, eyebrows raised. "What does she need help with, exactly?" And why was it she wasn't speaking for herself?
Someone was coming over, hehe, this was good. So much for getting out of anything Cinna. He grinned towards the lady as she came closer, "Yes I think she wanted to put a name on her somewhere or maybe that one design right there." He grinned evil like towards Cinna. "Isn't that what you said." It's not like it was permanent so he didn't think she'd be too mad.
He looked towards the examples again. "Ever done a barbwire around the arm?" Of course she had, but he figured he'd ask anyway. Maybe he would get one. His training and practices had him in nice shape for a nice barbwire around his upper arm.
"What do you think?" He looked at Cinna, should he get one?
James worked on painting her face while she talked. He was used to people talking while he worked, so it wasn't too bad. Cats were a popular request, so he knew he'd be able to finish quickly with it still looking good. "Why did you come without her?" Seemed a bit odd to him, if she had known she was already upset.
"Where do you plan on going to Uni?" he inquired next, dabbing more paint onto her cheeks.
Dani didn't make a face, because she was trying to keep still, but she DID scoff. "BeCAAAUUUUSE I begged her to come with me. She KNOWS this is my scene--and--well--I was rather annoyed when she said no." Little did Dani KNOW that Tabby had had a dinner planned for them...
But those guilty feelings would come later.
"I'm also very used to getting what I want." OOps. Had she said this aloud? Yes? Okay. "And--well--" Tabby hadn't been LISTENING. Merlin. Dani was telling this STRANGER her issues. Poor guy. James probably was used to this, though. Yes.
Aaaaand Uni. "I...haven't...decided yet. SOmewhere in France, though, since that's where we live." She and Tabby spoke mostly French at home despite it being their second language. They were just...USED to it, having gone to Beauxbatons.

Hey, that was the lady who done her and Lux's bellybutton piercing. She was good and done a great job doing it.* And she was coming over to help them. At least she knew that she would get something good. She was really to speak but Bart had to answer for her. Eyeing him she didn't like that, so she poked him hard in the side. That was not funny. Turning to the artist, "I like this henna butterfly symbol. Or whatever you think. Like a surprise." Hehe she liked surprises.
She glanced back at him. Was he going to get one, then? She thought that he wasn't or that was the impression she had gotten anyway. She raised her eyebrows this time. She was pretty impressed with his choice. "If you want one I think its a good choice." If that was what he wanted, she didn't have a complaint about it. She was grinning, too.

Oookay!
"Yeah?" Fletcher turned around from where he'd just been cleaning up a bit, his eyes landing on the next two customers. "So you want matching ones or d'ya have something else in mind?"

Oh, so she wouldn't be the one that would help them.
That was okay. Benny followed her gaze and pointing to the other station worker that apparently could. Thankfully the man wasn't slow in answering the summons, not that he was in any sort of rush. Nope...Angel was certainly more into this and he was just along for the ride right now. Until it was his turn to be tattooed of course. He wouldn't back down from his girlfriend's request. The puppy dog eyes would only come out.
The older Gryffindor was about to answer when Angel beat him to it. She wanted a dragon like she had said earlier, there was just him to decide. "I think something different," Ben finally answered. Just not sure what. If dragon represented him, what represented her?

Anyway Stella. She nodded "Yeah. Here alone." She guessed that Chris must've had a ton of homework or something for him not to come. She really didn't ask. It had kind turned into a girl's day with Cinna. The only thing Cinna was well. She didn't know where she was somewhere around here. She guessed.
"No. He's not much of a butterfly type of guy." Not really. "What do you think he would say about a tiger?" She seen a pretty nice looking tiger.
Stella nodded. "It's weird that he can slack off at everything, but he won't skip work." Brothers. Completely irritating. Especially Chris. The boy had a weird sense of what was right and wrong. Of course, it usually worked in her favor, so maybe she shouldn't really complain about it.
"Tiger would work. Ankle or back, I'd say."

And she'd just ignore that he insinuated that she couldn't handle pain. Because she could, thank you very much.
