Music isn't the only art form being showcased at this year’s Wizarding Wireless Network Music Festival. While you stroll along the middle of the street getting lost in the music, you might find yourself in front of a canopied space showcasing the best of body art from your friendly local artists at Paradise Piercings & Tattoos. The logo is prominently showcased and the space has the familiar Island feel that the shop is known for. Luckily for you, the artists here are known for their quality skills so why not stop in and channel your inner rock star. Surely some ink would be a welcome addition to this art-filled afternoon.
When you step into the tent, you’ll notice a large display table to your right. This is where you can go to feast your eyes on original artwork, Paradise merchandise, and cased display of tattooing equipment for those interested in the trade. There’s also a list of services offered ranging from face painting to temporary tattoos and everything in between. Henna has been especially popular this summer so why not dabble in something new?
To the left you’ll find a padded table and a padded chair, both for those wishing to get something done by the qualified and keen artists awaiting your arrival. Why not pick a design that appeals to you and take a seat. The canopy offers welcome shade from the July heat and you’ll still be able to hear the rockin’ tunes from the festival as if you were right by the stage. Whether you’re just here to look or wanting to see what a tattooed you would feel like, your time in this space is sure to be worth your while.
Be sure to take a business card on your way out. It's rumored that once you get inked, you're likely to want to come back for more.
OOC: This thread is manned by Charlie Anderson (TakemetotheBurrow), Fletcher (BanaBatGirl), and James McLeod (sarahlooo). Please play WITH them, not for them.
And anyone else who needs help, just label with "Artist please" or "Help" <33

The closest she ever got to that was through her nieces and nephew.
"Yeah, I'm looking pretty forward to it but I bet you guys get just as busy during summer?" Most shops did, although Erica supposed that a tattoo parlor was probably busy all year round considering mostly adults used such services.
"Thanks." Charlie honestly didn't mind keeping things short and sweet. She knew babies weren't for everyone and she wasn't the type to flip open a wallet full of pics for Erica to see. They could discuss at another time.
"Busier, yeah. Lots of students who've turned of age popping in to get their first tattoo or piercing." And the first timers were the most fun, honestly. Charlie liked to freak 'em out a bit for the fun of it. Wouldn't say that out loud with the boss man here, though. "You should stop in some time." Maybe she'd even give her fellow shopkeeper a discount.

First though, she needed to find a ponytail holder or rubber band so that she didn't get paint in her hair. That wouldn't be a good look.
"Do you have a rubber band?" Sky asked the nearest person, pulling her hair back in a ponytail to show her intentions with it. Because you never knew when someone would take your rubber band and snap you with it.
She'd learned that lesson the hard way.
A rubber band? Charlie looked around to see if the girl was speaking to anyone in particular but when no one answered, the shopkeeper rifled around in her bag and produced one. "Here. Keep it."
But business, yes? She was meant to be drumming up some business. "Interested in a temporary tattoo?"
Being an artist herself, the 21-year-old blonde looked at all the designs in front of her. Even some of the merchandise. Maybe she'll actually get a real tattoo. Her first. Or just a henna one. Veronica was always interested in those but it seemed to slip her mind a lot to actually get one. Maybe today will finally be that day. Or for the tattoo. Roni quietly browsed through the displays, eyeing everything in sight. It was going to be a hard decision to just pick one thing today. But maybe two wouldn't be sooooo bad.
Charlotte couldn't help but smirk when she found the body art stand. Maybe she could get a cheeky tattoo to surprise Benjy? She already had a cross, a feather turning into birds,a few words and a crown. Or maybe just henna for a change?
Skipping through one of the countless books with examples the brunette noticed the girl standing next to her, also eyeing up some designs. "Its so hard to decide isn't it?"

People were coming up to their tent with some regularity, which was awesome for Fletcher's business. He couldn't help overhearing a couple talk about tattoos, and sense that NOW would be a good time to interject about henna!
"You should try a henna tattoo," Fletcher suggested, leaning over and plopping down the sample book of designs in front of the pair. Nod. "I quite agree. Not something crazy for an old lady like me." Okay maybe not old, but a lady for sure. As to where well....."Ankle perhaps?" That wouldn't be too noticeable would it? She could always hide it, of course.
Well, that was nice of her to say. Fletcher chuckled a little bit at the last part. "Sure, I could teach her how to hang on for dear life and close her eyes to not get dizzy!" That was about as far as his flying skills went, anyway.
"Psssh, you don't look a day over 29," Fletcher winked at Erica, using his own age as an example (it was good to be in one's twenties, right?). He glanced down at her foot with an appreciative nod. "Sure. You have lovely ankles and I have a simple design that would work great. Why don't you have a seat," he gestured to their spare stool, "and clean your ankle skin a little bit with this?"

Dani wanted it all. A tattoo--FACE PAINT--YES TO EVERYTHING. She wanted to look AWESOME. And she would. Yes.

Not that it bothered her. Sidling up to them, the soon-to-be twenty year old tugged the microphone away from her best friend and toward herself instead. "I think it would be nicer if the workers weren't SO overbearing, y'know? Learn to give a lady some space, Puny Paulie." Tsk tsk.
Also. "You getting a tattoo?" Dora didn't need any MORE, did she?
Her eyes moved from the display of tattoos to her best friend when she showed up, and she was very pleased that the first thing she did was take the pseudo microphone out of her face.
"I might, if I find something that interests me." She paused, considering Alice for a moment before adding. "We could get matching ones." It was an idea.

Well.. this wasn't Piper's sort of thing at all. Not the body art.. not the disgusting food.. not the music, nor the tattoos or the piercings. But two things had got her to the music festival today. 1) Tyler Bellaire: Devoted husband's handsome company, and 2) Said husband had agreed to be young madam's personal house elf for an entire two weeks if she agreed to come to this thing.
So, naturally, here she was..
Complete with wrinkled nose because the place smelled funny and everyone around her looked like they were homeless! Gracious!
“Tyler, do hurry up.” She waited by the body art tent, twirling her hair impatiently between her finger and thumb. He wanted his skin inked. He already had a few tattoos which Piper, strangely, didn't mind. Devoted husband looked handsome whatever.

Tyler knew, he kneeeeew that this scene was definitely not one his woman wanted to be apart of, but the thing was, he wanted to be here for work reasons and just because reasons. And who knows, maybe if a miracle happened Piper would somehow end up enjoying herself.
"I think I'm going to get a moving tattoo. I'm just not sure what to get just yet." He said as he joined her.
"Also, you're sticking out like a sore thumb." He slipped his hand around her waste and kissed her forehead.
"Relax and enjoy the atmosphere." Open air, grass and music.

She beamed at him when she said matching henna tattoos. "I love those! Let's find out and go with those if they aren't permanent." It was kind of cute getting matching ones! Merlin they'd come a long way from meeting in Fiji, how many years ago?

"Is the pain really as bad as they say it is?" she asked, curious. She wasn't going for the permanent one yet, but she'd like to be prepared in case she ever did go with it!

Krystal had tattoos, yes, but she was very very particular about what she put on her body. Not like Charlie, who would get any old thing inked into his skin forever as long as he thought it looked kinda cool. Anyway, she was curious about the Paradise place... Charlie had raved about it last time he'd got something done, and Krystal had to admit it was a pretty nice piece. So maybe she'd get that thing she'd been thinking about...
For now she was content with just looking at the merch and artwork. She pushed her sunglasses up the bridge of her nose and ran a finger over the lines on her arms. Hmmm... probably not wise to get a proper tattoo the day before she was performing - she played very enthusiastically... and had injured herself before without realising it - but henna might be cool. She wondered if they could make it move like they could with ink... hm.

Finally. Merlin's beard!
“You should get my name tattoo'd across your forehead so girls know you're mine.” She huffed, casting a glare at a girl who was currently eyeing up the tall, dark and handsome smoulder that was HERS. HSST.
She looked down at her attire. “Tyler, I've dressed so I fit in.” What did he want her to do? Cover herself in mud? No thank you. She leaned into him though and couldn't help a smile from curling up her lips when he kissed her forehead, her heart giving a little flutter in response.
“We should go and have a look at the designs.” She suggested. “A dragon would suit you, Tylie.” She touched his chest with her hand and smiled wider.

"Only if you put mine across yours..and really I'd rather you didn't so it looks like that won't happen." She received a cheeky grin as his hand slipped from her waist to hold her hand.
"And I like it." He wasn't sure she would fit in with the common folk, as Piper had something about her that was separate and apart from everyone else there. They were raised different, born different and you couldn't miss it.
He moved towards the design area and his eyebrows knitted. "Hmmm, I thought about getting a dragon but I already have one on my calf....what about my patronus on my torso?"

Vesper had been considering artwork.....slightly worrying herself over how the people at Paradise did things. She'd met the lady, Charlie, before...while out with Derry. She was amazing and everything....but tattoos were serious business.
Okay, not that serious. Ves clearly loved them, as she already had a few....but each piece had to mean something. Be IMPORTANT. Actually, she'd been toying with the idea of getting their band logo put on her somewhere...but would these artists work from a sketch? Some refused to; only wanting to freehand. Ves got that. She was sorta that way...unless it was a special occasion........

Krystal was wondering if she should have her back tattoo extended, and was looking into some of the original artworks to figure out if any of the artists had a style she liked, when she heard a voice. She'd momentarily forgotten she was famous, and assumed it wasn't for her, even though it was pretty obviously directed at her. But then pulled off her sunglasses and glanced round. "Hm?" Oh!
She knew this girl!
She was incredibly protective of this girl, actually. Not that Vesper knew it, but she'd physically beaten Charlie with his own guitar case to make sure he didn't try anything on with her when they'd been down to Tintagel. A grin spread across Krystal's face and she balanced her ray bans on the top of her head, using them as a sort of head band. "Hey Vesper." She wasn't surprised to bump into her here, she was a budding tattoo artist, right?
Stella cast her eyes around the festival.* She felt holed up in the flat.* As charming as the word was when she initially heard it, she was now over it.* The twenty year old New Yorker missed apartments and lights and staying out the entire night.* She missed not being bored.
That's why she was here.* She was excited to get out and have a little fun.* That's what festivals were for, right?* Some tattoos.* Checking out the bands.* Not just listening, but checking them out.* Guys with basses or drum were cute.* Yup.* And she was planning on taking complete advantage of the practical display that was happening.
But since nothing was really happening on stage, she figured she'd go take care of the not-being-bored and doing-something-fun thing.* Which meant a tattoo or a piercing.* Those seemed fun.* She perused the list of services to see what was available and figure out what she was in the mood for.
Mercedes wanted to call come check out this music festival. She needed a break from school, from work, from everything really. What better way to chill out than a day of fun and music.
No music happening yet, Cedes decided to go walk around and see what else was going on with the festival. Tattoo and piercings huh? Maybe she would finally get that tattoo she had been wanting a tasteful one in a good no show place for work of course.
She made her way over to the tent. She looked around at the displays even found a few bellybutton rings that she though about buying for Cinna. She'd love them. I few feet away she spotted, someone familiar. It was Stella. "Stella!?!?" Chris's sister Stella. She was surprised to see her here. See Chris you should have came he could've seen his sister.

Dani grinned. She assumed she would have to pay for this because NOTHING was ever free........or was it? He certainly was staring at her gold a LOT. Hmph. Whatever the case--she didn't MIND forking over some gold for a good paint job. Nope.
Glancing down at the post(while grinning like a MAD cat), she bit her lip and tried to decide. "Hmm. I really want some rad face paint--maybe a henna, too--you do those, right?" she asked, looking back up at the man's face. HEHE. "I have no idea what to PAINT on my face though---I'd make a pretty sick cat, though."
Sick.
She had just used sick in a sentence. Tabby would probably break up with her now if she had heard her say that. Whoops.

She was excited to get some body art. Not a piercing or a tattoo, Nicole doubted her parents would give permission for her to get inked or pierced anyway. Maybe a cute face painting. Yes, that would be easy to rub off the next day but the feeling of joy would never leave.
"Hi," Nicole said to the closest artist and smiled. "Do you do face paintings?"

Luke didn't see the artist/tent keeper show up before the man leaned in and plopped a sample book of designs of henna tattoos in front of them and interjected in Luke's conversation with Willow. The man had good hearing or he had been eaves dropping. Regardless Luke didn’t mind the company and help. The henna tattoo’s seemed more and more appealing as the artist explained that they only lasted for 2 weeks and were pain free. Eyes trailing over the designs in the sample book he asked "Are some henna designs more popular than others? We were hoping to get matching tattoos."
Luke squeezed Willow's hand silently as she asked the artist about potential tattoo pain. He wanted to know the answer to that question too. He was still set on getting a henna tattoo at the festival but it might mean he wouldn't look to get a permanent tattoo down the road. Nudging Willow towards the sample book he said excitedly as he pointed to a pictures. "Doesn't that tiger look pretty cool or that dragon that is breathing fire?"
Piper smiled up at her man and then giggled a little, letting him take her hand. “It would look even more ghastly on you than me!” She exclaimed. She liked the cheeky grin on Tyler's face a lot better than some tattoo spoiling his beauty.
“Do you?” She asked curiously. “I feel so..” She paused to think for a moment. “..under dressed” Or common. Yes. That was the word. But one had to dress appropriately to fit in at this.... stinkfest, as she'd taken to calling it.
She peered at the designs. “Your patronus is a good idea. What sort of size would it be?” Nothing too large and fightful surely.
Thank goodness for Charlie not being one of those overly obsessed mothers. Erica smiled at the thanks, feeling rather thankful herself in fact.
Well of course that were to happen. The rebellious young adult stage of university and college meant tattoos for sure, and why not get them in the summer as soon as school was out for once and for all? "All of them rushing to get their symbol of adulthood or well freedom of the rules? Remember what those ages were about?" A small snort escaped her lips. Very few adults could say they didn't do anything exhilarating at those ages. She was sure Charlie even had stories of her own to share.
"Yeah of course, I'd love to, as long as I'm not forced into getting a tattoo." She was serious, yet there was a jokeful tone in the way she spoke.

"Can we go dancing later?" No one good was playing at the moment, so she could just hang out here and touch some stuff in the tent with him as he tattooed and pierced people's skins.
That was an amusing way of putting it. Erica couldn't help but let out a laugh at the thought of a poor child grasping onto a chaotic broom for dear life. "At least in that case she hopefully won't fully fall into an injury." Although she knew and was sure he knew that quidditch injuries happened in many ways, it was just part of the game. It was after all meant to be rough. "Or if you'll be lucky she may be so afraid of the broom she wouldn't dare touch one."
Coincidence for sure, considering she was just exactly that age. "For now perhaps not, but the aging may speed up before I know it." She was lucky enough not to have too much of strain in that case though, as she didn't have kids of her own and everybody said that a child is truly what aged you most.
"Thank you." That was at the ankle compliment." Sounds great! I'll do so." With that she headed towards a seat and began with the cleaning of her ankle. She dabbed at it and gazed up to watch him prepare, only to see him with another lady smiling her way; possibly his girlfriend considering the way they had greeted each other. The smile was returned to the lady and then she continued about with her almost done cleaning.

Well this conversation was one that she would have with one of he girlfriends than her husband...you're uglier..no you're uglier. She instead received a shake of the head from him and a slight squeeze of the hand.
"I do. Sometimes I like you just wearing simple things, because then there is no distracting clothes and I get to see you...really see you." Not that she made it easier for him to not see her. Her personality was as fiery as her hair and it enthralled him greatly.
He thought about her question for a bit and mused...hmmmm.."Put your hand on my chest...on the right side...I'll make it the size of your palm..and I'll let you chose the exact location." See he was being a good husband.

Angel decided that she wanted to come and see what tattoo's she could get when she was older... she doubted that the man would let her get one now and she knew that her father would kill her if she did but when she was eighteen she might want to get one for herself especially now that she had a boyfriend and she wanted a tattoo that was something cool.
Angel looked around she had come with her boyfriend Benny. "When your older you going to get a tattoo that says, "My Guardian Angel?" Angel giggled; hoping that Benny knew that she was just joking with him.

Benny had been disappointed when Angel had first said that she wasn't joining her sister in coming to the music festival when they were meeting up. But she had managed to turn it around by offering a time when they could get together alone. So he supposed it was a plus in that regard. However when he finally caught up with his girlfriend, the younger Gryffindor was leading over to one part of the festival he wasn't even sure of until he spotted signs up close.
Body art?
"Oh really?" he mused with a slightly raised eyebrow. He couldn't exactly see himself with a tattoo, with or without the suggested words. "Who says?" Ben questioned back with a teasing tone since her giggling was clue that she was pulling his leg.

Angel looked at Benny and smiled. "I'm sorry I didn't come with my sister but I wasn't very well." Angel sighed, she had been feeling ill that day and now though she was feeling a lot better. "It was really a bad day." Angel giggled as she looked around.
Angel looked at her boyfriend and smiled. "I think that it would have been amazing." Angel had no idea what was going on now. "Your going to give it a go aren't you." Angel had no idea what to do. "Maybe if you do then I will as well."
