Music isn't the only art form being showcased at this year’s Wizarding Wireless Network Music Festival. While you stroll along the middle of the street getting lost in the music, you might find yourself in front of a canopied space showcasing the best of body art from your friendly local artists at Paradise Piercings & Tattoos. The logo is prominently showcased and the space has the familiar Island feel that the shop is known for. Luckily for you, the artists here are known for their quality skills so why not stop in and channel your inner rock star. Surely some ink would be a welcome addition to this art-filled afternoon.
When you step into the tent, you’ll notice a large display table to your right. This is where you can go to feast your eyes on original artwork, Paradise merchandise, and cased display of tattooing equipment for those interested in the trade. There’s also a list of services offered ranging from face painting to temporary tattoos and everything in between. Henna has been especially popular this summer so why not dabble in something new?
To the left you’ll find a padded table and a padded chair, both for those wishing to get something done by the qualified and keen artists awaiting your arrival. Why not pick a design that appeals to you and take a seat. The canopy offers welcome shade from the July heat and you’ll still be able to hear the rockin’ tunes from the festival as if you were right by the stage. Whether you’re just here to look or wanting to see what a tattooed you would feel like, your time in this space is sure to be worth your while.
Be sure to take a business card on your way out. It's rumored that once you get inked, you're likely to want to come back for more.
OOC: This thread is manned by Charlie Anderson (TakemetotheBurrow), Fletcher (BanaBatGirl), and James McLeod (sarahlooo). Please play WITH them, not for them.

Being away from Kendi was hard, especially given she'd spent so much time with her since she'd been born. Charlie had gone as far as considering bringing her here to the event but her mother had insisted it would be far too loud for a baby and far too crowded. PSH. It was never to early to be exposed to wrock. In any case, the new mom had conceded and arrived alone.
Arriving at her station, the shopkeeper set down her bag and began checking to see that they'd have everything they needed once the festival goers arrived for some body art. The place seemed well stocked which was a relief, it meant she didn't have much work to do. And so she took a seat and relaxed, wondering where her fellow artists were.

Fletcher was getting there just behind Charlie. He'd also brought a bag with him, a bag full of last-minute henna supplies he'd had in his flat and forgot to put here yesterday. He wanted to be extra prepared because he hadn't professionally done tattooing in a while. Henna, though, henna was easy.
"Hey," he greeted his excellent tattoo artist as he set out these last few things and then claimed a stool beside her. "Sup."
He wasn't very eloquent in the morning. S'bright out t'day.

Perhaps Erica had always been one more for sport spectating over bands, but that did not mean she didn't enjoy music and festivals and such. In fact she found them exciting and surely something better to do over a weekend than stay home alone with her cat. Yet of course what really had her keen to attend was to see the results of the planning of the event.
Walking at a leisurely pace the brunette went about the festival. She stopped to watch the main stage for some time but then headed off towards the vendors and eventually towards the body art station. She had no intention of face painting or any tattoo at all at first but once the gazing began, the inner childlike curiosity grew too.
"Hi! How's it going?" A smile along with a greeting was passed both to Charlie and her boss. "...you do henna?"

"Hi! How's it going?" A smile along with a greeting was passed both to Charlie and her assistant. "...you do henna?"
...Or was that just for the kids?
"Fancy meeting you here," Charlie said with a smirk when the boss man sat down beside her. "Ready to drum up some business?" Because Charlie saw this as an opportunity to sway people to come to Paradise for some real tattoos and she could be quite persuasive when she wanted to be, just saying.
Oh and look, another familiar face. The blonde waved Erica closer and smiled. "Hey. No complaints here. How're you?" Oh and did Erica know Fletcher yet? She'd probably seen him around Diagon but Charlie figured an introduction couldn't hurt. "Erica, this is Fletcher. He owns Paradise. Fletcher, this is Erica. She's the shopkeeper at Quality Quidditch Supplies." BOOM. Introductions done.

Heh, good one, Charlie. Fletcher cracked a grin and was about to reply, because of COURSE he was all about improving his business, but then they had a customer. Sort of.
"Erica," he repeated, offering a hand to the new lady in the tent. "Nice to meetcha. So you work at QQQ, eh?" He thought she had looked familiar. He really did need to spend more time around here, so this WWN Festival was a pretty good opportunity to dive back in.
Fletcher stood up from his stool, still talking to the ladies, and moved around to the henna area of things. "Are you actually interested in trying out a henna tattoo today? Because I've been itching to practice my art skills..."
Itching, HAHA geddit? Because henna can be itchy if you don't do it right? Probably only Charlie was going to get that one.

Great to here such considering Charlie had a baby and all now, that often ended with complaints and so did husbands or perhaps naively chosen ones at least. "Suppose I can say the same, and with summer here I'm keen for the growth in customers." she spoke up then paused before asking on further. "The baby's all well?"
As the introductions happened, a friendly smile lit up on the woman's face. Erica was always equipped at being warm to people, it was after all part of her job. "Pleasure to meet you, Fletcher." She was more than certain she had seen him around before, but with the amount of shopkeepers around and with the vastness of Diagon Alley it wasn't unusual that she hadn't officially met him."Yeah, QQS is almost like my child. You a quidditch fan then?" She asked.
That actually, well she nodded at that. "Yes I actually wouldn't mind, something small and simple though." She didn't need to attract attention and what not. Her eyes flickered from Fletcher and to Charlie."Any design suggestions you think I should go for?" That was directed at the two of them because she was clueless, as clueless as she was to that itching joke just told.

She'd only been back in London for a few days and her first rash decision as a newly freed woman was to go to this festival and get herself a tattoo. And sure support her friends and see everyone she didn't while away, but ALSO to get a new tattoo. But what really?
Browsing through the selection they had on display, her face gave multiple looks of disapproval. Whatever she was getting, it wasn't going to be any idea of theirs.

Paulie DID recognize that head of longnow-short, dark hair. He did. Maybe it was the hair AND the walk, but that was totally Cleodora.
He sidled up to her and stuck a microphone-like object into her face. "'Scuuuuse me, Miss. Would ya mind summin' up how much of a GREAT time you're havin' here at WWN's music festival?"

"Baby's great." Charlie smiled a little, feeling the familiar tug on her heart that she always felt when she wasn't within arms reach of Kendi. It was tough getting back into her regular routine but she knew Saul had everything handled at home. "M'sure you guys will be swamped pretty soon. All the kids looking to get new brooms and such." The blonde didn't foresee Erica having any problem with sales any time soon.
Since Fletcher was in charge of the henna, she let him take the stage. His comment on itching did earn him a snort and the blonde shook her head, amused. "Very clever." As for design suggestions, the shopkeeper looked around the station. "I'm sure we've got a book around here with them somewhere." Again, Fletch could handle that. There were more people arriving now.
Since the girl and boy seemed to be browsing, she left them alone for now. She was watching, though. Y'know, in case she was needed.

Stella cast her eyes around the festival. She felt holed up in the flat. As charming as the word was when she initially heard it, she was now over it. The twenty year old New Yorker missed apartments and lights and staying out the entire night. She missed not being bored.
That's why she was here. She was excited to get out and have a little fun. That's what festivals were for, right? Some tattoos. Checking out the bands. Not just listening, but checking them out. Guys with basses or drum were cute. Yup. And she was planning on taking complete advantage of the practical display that was happening.
But since nothing was really happening on stage, she figured she'd go take care of the not-being-bored and doing-something-fun thing. Which meant a tattoo or a piercing. Those seemed fun. She perused the list of services to see what was available and figure out what she was in the mood for.

Fletcher didn't really know what to say about the baby stuff, because yeah he had a kid too but... he'd sent Charlie a card and given her time off and stuff. He was just here for the henna, really. The music might be a bonus.

Another customer, eh? "Hello," he greeted her while waiting on an answer from Erica. "Care for a piercing, face paint, or henna tattoo?" Or something else entirely, eh?
That WWN guy over there seriously wasn't interviewing people, was he? Kids these days...

Grin. Big grin.
Objects stuck in her face were not okay and got negative reactions from Dora, but when they were from one Misha... well it was okay. She rolled her eyes, amusement evident. "I don't know if I can call this a great time yet. No one's crowd surfed, or gotten into fights trying to impress a girl, and not one part of my body has been signed by some hot band member." She tsk'd and shook her head in feigned disappointment before a smile spread across her face, and she nudged him with her hip.
"Should have known you'd be out here working."

She wasn't sure if her grandmother was REQUIRED to come because she managed Gringotts and this was a Diagon Alley event, or the old lady was voluntarily making an appearance. Either way, Lucia apparently wasn't eager to spend the day with Alice. Quite the role reversal, but she didn't mind.
Dora was somewhere around here, yeah? Somewh.... there.
With Paulie.
Not that it bothered her. Sidling up to them, the soon-to-be twenty year old tugged the microphone away from her best friend and toward herself instead. "I think it would be nicer if the workers weren't SO overbearing, y'know? Learn to give a lady some space, Puny Paulie." Tsk tsk.
Also. "You getting a tattoo?" Dora didn't need any MORE, did she?

Walking down the festival street hand in hand with his girlfriend Luke said excitedly as he spotted the paradise piercings and tattoo sign. "Willow, do you see the festival has a tattoo tent? Can we please go check out the tattoos before we go listen to the music?" Not waiting for a reply he made a beeline for the tent across the street pulling Willow with him. Ducking his blond curly head he steered his girlfriend with him and into the tattoo tent before she could start protesting or even say that it was a good idea.
Luke stopped for a moment to get his bearings upon entering the tent before he moved straight to the right for the big display of tattoo equipment, artwork and offered services. Turning to look at his girlfriend he asked. "Willow, haven't you always said that it'd be cool to have a tattoo?"

Paulie liked to see that Dora's expression DID change after she'd seen it was him. In a good way. That initial look didn't seem so welcoming. "I donno about a hot band member, but I can offer a hot WWN employee's signature instead?" Because helloooo? Who wanted some famous rock star's John Hancock when you could have a WWN worker's? .....
"Mhm." He was out working. Such a hard day's work, too. "You here all weekend?"

Overbearing?Space?? Pft. "Oh, c'moooooooooooon. Close only counts in horse shoes and sloooow dancin'," he winked. And THEN snatched the microphone back, thank you very much.

The people were just starting to come and small crowds were starting to form when James arrived at his station. He nodded at the other two workers and started setting up his area. "Let's get this thing started," he said with a grin. He was excited about doing his first big gig here at the festival. Not that it was all about the gig. He was just looking to have some fun and put a smile on some faces. As well as paint.

Once James set up his two chairs and his stand to hold up all his face paint, he saw someone approach and decided to try his salesman tactics. "Afternoon," he called out to her, twirling a paintbrush between his fingers. "You look like you want to do some damage." He gave her a small grin and waited to see what kind of damage she wanted. Ink? Henna? Paint? All of the above?

Aaand Dani had a taker! She smirked and meandered over to the bloke's chairs, noticing he was both handsome and not her type whatsoever(HEH) and winked. You know. A friendly wink. Like...'hi there' wink. Whatever that meant.
"All the damage ever." She said in response, her smiiiiirk definitely growing. "What do you have to offer?" And she pulled out of her backpack her little pouch of gold--yes--"And I'll show you my wares." She loved dealing with even common every day THINGS like her father would do business dealings. Quite fun. And it fulfilled her need to be 'living on the edge' becaaaause in reality Dani did NO dangerous things ever. At least not in the way her father did.
Dani wanted it all. A tattoo--FACE PAINT--YES TO EVERYTHING. She wanted to look AWESOME. And she would. Yes.

Jessa moved briskly from place to place, dodging people and enjoying the music as she searched for the Paradise's logo thing on a tent. And sure enough, she found it just as the music from the main stage picked up the pace. She ducked into the tent with the intention of looking for Fletcher, the stand to the right caught her eye though so she spent a moment or two browsing before returning to her mission of surprising her guy!
"Excuse me," She came up near him with a sweet, polite smile on her face. "Do you happen to know where I can find an excellent master of body art around here?" Hehehhee, hiiiiii boyfriend, just playing a little harmless game over here to CONFUSE EVERYONE. Because people had nothing better to do with their time than watching her them, duh.

Ooooo.....body art.
Not that she was especially keen on getting another tattoo, since she hadn’t really enjoyed the last one. But maybe a temporary tattoo. A butterfly or something. Something pretty. First though, she needed to find a ponytail holder or rubber band so that she didn't get paint in her hair. That wouldn't be a good look.
"Do you have a rubber band?" Sky asked the nearest person, pulling her hair back in a ponytail to show her intentions with it. Because you never knew when someone would take your rubber band and snap you with it. She'd learned that lesson the hard way.

She was happy and smiling as they made their way down the street to the festival and opened her mouth to speak when he asked about checking out the tattooes and giggled letting him pull her into the tent without waiting for a response. She'd always shivered at the thought of getting a tattoo but hadn't ever been against it really. She looked around as they entered the tent following Luke towards the display. "I...well I don't know. It'd be kind of cool but I never really thought on it."
Hmmm, maybe she should just get one, a small one at least. "Were you thinking on getting one?" she asked looking up at him.
Being an artist herself, the 21-year-old blonde looked at all the designs in front of her. Even some of the merchandise. Maybe she'll actually get a real tattoo. Her first. Or just a henna one. Veronica was always interested in those but it seemed to slip her mind a lot to actually get one. Maybe today will finally be that day. Or for the tattoo. Roni quietly browsed through the displays, eyeing everything in sight. It was going to be a hard decision to just pick one thing today. But maybe two wouldn't be sooooo bad.

Hmmm, maybe she should just get one, a small one at least. "Were you thinking on getting one?" she asked looking up at him.
Luke wanted a small tattoo not something big and intimidating. His mother would definitely freak out if he did that. But glancing up at his girlfriend from admiring the art work he nodded. "Yes I want a tattoo, but not a permanent one. I want something that wears off after a bit or fades rather. I'm not sure I'm ready for permanent ink on my skin."
Gesturing to the display he asked "Want to get matching henna tattoos? We’d have to ask an artist for certain but I don’t think they are permanent and they look pretty cool." Luke finished off. If Willow didn't want to then he'd just get one for himself and then he could buy her something else that she liked at the vendors, maybe a new necklace?
"Baby's great." Charlie smiled a little, feeling the familiar tug on her heart that she always felt when she wasn't within arms reach of Kendi. It was tough getting back into her regular routine but she knew Saul had everything handled at home. "M'sure you guys will be swamped pretty soon. All the kids looking to get new brooms and such." Since Fletcher was in charge of the henna, she let him take the stage. His comment on itching did earn him a snort and the blonde shook her head, amused. "Very clever." Since the girl and boy seemed to be browsing, she left them alone for now. She was watching, though. Y'know, in case she was needed.
Pleasant news again then. Smiles were given further."That's good to hear. Good luck!" She didn't say much further and not because she didn't want to but more because she wasn't very knowledgeable with what sort of questions to ask about babies. The closest she ever got to that was through her nieces and nephew.
"Yeah, I'm looking pretty forward to it but I bet you guys get just as busy during summer?" Most shops did, although Erica supposed that a tattoo parlor was probably busy all year round considering mostly adults used such services.
Huh? Blank looks were given at the clever comment indicated to Fletcher. Her mind was switched back at the thought of designs though, or well the focus of her tattoo at least.
