Emmaleigh left her friends standing at the Pygmy Puff Corner, and walked up to the counter. In her hands was a small white cage holding Pintsize, the deep purple pygmy puff she had picked out. When she saw the Shopkeeper, she politely said, "I w-would like to buy this c-cage, and pygmy p-puff please. And I w-was wondering what they eat. If you s-sell that, can I buy s-some of that too?" she asked kindly. "How much w-will it all be?"

"Us... do anything harmful? Pfff. We're good kids Miss, we wouldnt hurt a fly." he smiled good-naturedly as he pulled out the payment from his moneybag. It was true, the shopkeep has his word. He's gonna make sure there arent any flies when they let these loose. Everything else will have to look out for themselves.

Grabbing the bags that contained his purchases, Salander waited for his other companions by the door.

Lucy smiled. "Yep. Thank you soo much. I think I'll call him Echo." Lucy smiled at the pygmy puff. She smiled at the shop keeper once more and then strolled out of the shop.

Luna looked at the selection of Pygmy Puff cages. 'May I have a blue cage, please?' SHe asked politely. Not being polite was never an option when talking to your elders, Luna thought.
'And I see, well, I will have to stock up on some biscuits then!' said Luna. She was going to have to get her mother to buy some biscuits from the muggle supermarket, or her dad could go and get them, then they could send them to her at school!
'Ah, hopefully my Kneazle and Pygmy will get along then! It would such a disaster if they couldn't!' Luna said to the shopkeeper. She then started to hunt in her purse for those 3 galleons.
'Here you are! Thank you so much for all the help. I really appreciate it!' Said Luna cheerfully, whilst picking up the bag and the cage.
She was now really starting to look forward to Hogwarts...

K-Lee giggled a little at hearing the Pygmy Puff's liking crup food. She handed over the galleon.

"Thanks!" She said enthusiastically, accepting her new pet and walking out of the store with her new friend.

September had finally come and with it, the Hogwarts Express. Now that the children were off to school things had calmed down once again, as it did every year after the 'busy season'.
After unlocking the front door and making sure it was completely shut behind her, Artemis kneeled to remove the leash from her puppies collar, letting her run free in the shop. Sweeping a dark lock from in front of her face, Artie straightened and made her way over to the counter, easily slipping behind it without touching the gate that was still up. She had yet to take it down, but was playing with the idea.

Shuffling through some inventory papers and order forms, the young woman stacked them into a neat little pile, hesitating as she went to put them back down and decided to bring them with her as she lefted the front counter to check elsewhere.

"Hello I would like to purchase a pack of Extendable Ears, 2 Fake Wands, 1 Pygmy Puff, also I was wondering if I could get a varity pack of your Jelly Leg and Memory Decoy candies. Would that be possible?" Jesse asked thinking of his muggle sister, Hannah, and her reaction once she tried out the candies, wand, and recieved her Pygmy Puff. I wonder if they have it in her favorite color - purple.

Ronnie was really excited. Last term she didn't get a chance to come in this shop and now she was more excited than anything to be here. Her parents...well her mom and her step dad were off buying her books. She didn't want to be with them, they were too lovey dovey most of the time. So she took off down the street toward the joke shop, something she wanted to do more than anything else in Diagon Alley.

Ronnie bolted through the door and had to stop short becuase there were so many people. She decided to hang out by the door untill some one moved.

Rose had planned the whole day from the word go, she had read about all of the shops in books and planned to go to all of the boring ones first so that she could visit the one shop she was happy to see. Half running down the cobbled streets with her bags flailing in her arms she saw it just up ahead, Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. The number one shop for pranksters most likely in the world, and she was finally going to get to go in. Rose was an avid prankster and was usually good of getting into and out of trouble.

Stepping into the shop she was immediatly struck dumb, the entire shop was filled to the brim of hundreds of diffrent items in diffrent shapes and sizes. Whipping her head from side to side trying to look at everything she began to feel dizzy and began to wobble around trying not to fall. This was such an amazing shop and it would not do well to faint before she got to try all of the diffrent items.

Ronnie felt the air whoosh past her as a whirl wind of hair went past her. Veronica laughed a little when she realized that she had done that exact same thing only a minuet before. The shop keepers must get that a lot she thought. When Ronnie turned to look at who it was that rushed past her she saw the girl looking a little dizzy. She ran right over to the girl and put her arms around her. "Maybe we should sit down for a second. I don't want you to fall." Veronica realized the girl probally thought she was a creeper for just putting her arms around a strange, but Ronnie was used to falling over. She had her own health problems that she wasn't going to tell anyone unless she had to.

"Do you want to step outside for a minuet?" She asked the girl knowing she probally didn't want to, but Ronnie knew she needed to.

Suddenly just before the fall she felt arms reach around her waist, 'please be a cute boy, please be a cute boy' she thought to herself as she turned around to instead find a young girl, most likely younger than her navigation both of them to the ground, this was probably a good idea although it would have been a better idea if she hadnt needed to be 'rescued' in the first place. Realising they were in her favourite shop, as of now, and her first memories were of her almost collapsing Rose immediatly jumped up and turned around to offer a hand to the other girl to get up to.

"Sorry" she said blusing hoping that she hadnt knocked her over on her jump up, "Im Rose and its ok i dont need to go outside, its just this shop is....AMAZING!". She couldnt beleive how her voice had risen to a half shout as she said Amazing, so calming down she fixed her hair quickly and put her hand out again to the other girl.

Ronnie smiled when the girl recovered quickly. "Nice to meet you Rose, I'm Veronica...well Ronnie actually." Veronica was thinking about changing her name legally to Ronnie, but her mother mostly likely wouldn't let her. "I know this shop is Amazing!! I was a little overwhelmed when I first came in too." She added looking around to see what was all here. "I'm a thid year Hufflepuff." She added again knowing that, that partciular question would be asked at some point. She decided to just blurt it out before being asked.

"I need some of those extendable ears, those are the coolest things I've ever seen." She added smiling at all the jokes and tricks that were around her.

Veronica sounded like a nice name but Ronnie sounded like a weiridish name, Since Rose wasnt one for going with usual nicknames she decided to give Ronnie one of her own. "Hey Ver." She said deciding to guage her reaction after saying the new nickname "Yea this shop really is amazing, and i think i am going to buy a few things for good pranks while im at school this year".

Listening to the girl talk she mentioned the girl mention her house and year, "Coool" She said "Im a Fourth year Hufflepuff, and yea i heard about extendable ears i think i might pick one of those up too"

Ver...did that girl just call her Ver....didn't Ronnie tell her what her name was? She wasn't sure whether she should mention her name again...or just let it go. "Ooo...another Hufflepuff. That's pretty cool" Ronnie deiced to just ignore the wrong nickname. Maybe she'd catch on later. "I love jokes. I play pratical jokes on my mom all the time. She gets so mad at me." Ronnie laughed thinking of her mother's face when Ronnie's played yet another joke on her.

"So what's your favorite subject?" Ronnie asked her...wanting to get to know her a little better!

Rose had caught the look of sadness, or was it annoyance. She didnt appear to be happy at her nickname but that didnt matter now because if they did become good friends then it could be her nickname that was unique to Rose. "Yea Hufflepuff seems like a good house" She said remembering all the research she had done on the house a few weeks ago when she had been taken to the castle to do a private sorting. "Pranking is my life" She said as she slowly began to walk further into the shop hoping that Val would follow her.

"Subject?" She thought, "To be honest this is my first year at Hogwarts, so i dont actually have a favourite yet."

"First year?? But you said you were a fourth year." Ronnie added following her deeper into the aisle of pranks and googies. Ronnie was drinking in everything looking at all the pranks wondering what she was going to buy. She had saved up all her pocket money over the summer for this moment and she couldn't be happier.

"I suppose my favorite subject is Herbology...well that and charms....well and Transfiguration." Ronnie said realizing she just named like half the subjects at Hogwarts as her favorites.

Looking around the shop she noticed several items that she just had to get so jumping over to the aisles she began to pick them up soon she had:
a bag of Memory Decoy's
2 Extendable Ears
5 Fainting Fancy
a bag of Mad-Eye Treatment
5 Fever Fudge
5 Nosebleed Nougat
5 Puking Pastille

Looking over to val she said Hey val how does this look for a basic pranking kit?". "Also i am in fourth year, i was just kind of not allowed to go to Hogwarts until this year" She said looking down hoping she didnt question her on it.

"Where did Val come from...I thought it was Ver." Ronnie added laughing as the girl pulled a bunch of stuff of the shelf for pranking with. "Looks like a great beginners kit." She added reased Rose a little bit. So she wasn't allowed to go to Hogwarts ugh...that's interesting. Ronnie wanted to ask her about it, but knew it wasn't worth loosing her friendship over asking her about it.

Val? She thought to herself, how did she forget the nickname she had given to the person she was beginning to think of a friend; "Sorry i meant Ver" She said giggling silently to herself "And i know, say would you like to get on some of the pranking with me at Hogwarts". She made sure to say the second part a little quieter because you never know who is listening into your conversations. "Listen i think i have got everything i need from here for now, i was wondering if you wanted to go for a wander as soon as we have bought everything we want" She said hoping she had just gained a new friend.

The first day of summer vacation was here, and with that came the rush of costumers roaming Diagon Alley once more; mostily Hogwarts students and their parents trying to shop for supplies and prepare for the following school term. Artie had stayed late into the night making sure her store was ready and returned home with Jinx, only to come back bright and early hours later to do a few last minute things and speak with her new assistant, Millie. Lovely girl, by the way. Artie had complete faith in her surviving the summer. As someone had once told her, running a shop in Diagon Alley during the summer time was not for the faint of heart; it wasn't always the easiest job, but Artie found it to be quite rewarding.

So as the first customer of summer approached her counter, the half-Greek witch smiled gently in greeting. "Hello," Artie replied, giving a slight nod of her head at his request. Getting out a bag, the woman quickly found where she'd last set her wand (by the old cash register) and flicked it, making sure to aim over the heads of wandering children, murmuring an incantation. As items here and there levitated carefully out of the way of heads and tall shelves, slowly making their way to the front counter and into the bag the shopkeeper had set to the side, Artie turned her dark blue eyes onto the boy once more. "Would you like to pick out the Pygmy Puff? They come in all different shades of pink and purple, you have a bit of a selection to choose from."
Noticing the pair of girls waiting, Artie offered a warm smile and gestured for them both to step forward, folding her hands on the countertop as she waited. "Hello girls, what can I help you with?"

"A dark purple one will be fine. My sister will love this." Jesse said smiling.

Katie smiled as she walked through the doors, she wanted to get a pressie for Coraline.



She knew she was gonna luff it, "Exuse me, may I please get a Pygmy puff? and a cage for it too? Thanks" Katie said smiling at the person behind the counter.

Jumping when a voice sounded behind them both Rose quickly swung round, wand in hand but once she realised it was just the shopkeeper she immediatly put it away and looked down at the ground, a blush forming on her cheeks."Oops Sorry" She said quickly "I would like to buy: a bag of Memory Decoy's , 2 Extendable Ears , 5 Fainting Fancy's, a bag of Mad-Eye Treatment, 5 Fever Fudges, 5 Nosebleed Nougats and 5 Puking Pastilles" She knew it was a long list and she was glad she had the money to buy it because without all of these items then this year at Hogwarts was going to be just no fun.

Isobel walked up to the counter with her stuff. "Hi," she said. "I'd like to get these; a self-shuffling card deck, a bag of Mad-Eye treatment, a bag of Memory Decoy, and a bag of Motormouth Cement, and Reusable Hangman." She put the right amount of money on the counter.

"A present for your sister? That's very sweet of you, I'm sure you're right." Artie agreed, considering most girls - especially the younger lot, - were quite taken with the little Puffs. With his other purchases bagging themselves, the shopkeeper held up an index finger and said a quick, "I'll be right back." before excusing herself from behind the counter to collect a dark purple pygmy puff.

After a moment or two, Artie emerged once more and carefully stepped over the small gate circling the side of the counter, which she'd been meaning to take down now that Jinx, her golden labrador retriever, was big enough to easily jump over and no longer needed to be kept within her line of vision at all times. Setting a silver mini-cage with the dark purple puff rocking back and forth happily on the itty bitty swinging perch inside, big eyes blinking up at the young man, Artie made sure the bag she'd set to package itself had all the items inside before moving it toward the boy. "There we go. That'll be 4 galleons and 5 sickles, dear."
"Of course you may," Artie replied, smiling kindly to the polite young girl. It was refreshing when they weren't terribly shy and spoke up, not that she minded when they didn't. It just so happened the majority of children to pass through were usually tight-lipped and nervous. "Right over there-" Raising her hand to point in the direction of the WonderWitch section, "-in the far corner near the WonderWitch supplies, you'll find the pygmy puffs and a display with different colored cages; You can mismatch or match colors with your new little Puff." Pausing, the woman realized she was unintentionally making the pygmys sound like accessories to be collected. The smile nearly slipped from her face, but she forced it to stay, pushing her current train of thought away instead. "Feel free to go browse and pick one out, kiddo."
"Not to worry, dear." With a swish and flick of her wand, a bag opened and placed itself on the countertop, one by one the gadgets and candies packed themselves in a neat fashion inside as the shopkeeper busied herself with adding up the total, she paused at the Skiving Snackbox requests. "There's 12 in a pack seperately, but if you want all four selections you could go with the main box set that has a bit of each. Would you like that instead? It'll come to 3 galleons and 8 sickles," Artie added, taking up one of the Skiving Snackboxes to show the young girl. Absently getting out yet another bag, for it had become second nature by now to grab or charm one after finishing with another customer, Artie smiled warmly to the next little girl. "Hello, dear." She greeted, bagging the items in which she wanted to purchase and organizing them to fit just right, the half-Greek witch also slipped in a quick charm on the bag to lighten the load. "Oh! You've already added it up, that's excellent. Thank you for that," Artemis chuckled, handing the young girl her bag and scooping up the coins with her other hand.
