While it would appear that the front counter is made of wood, especially judging by the hardwood top surface, caution stripes color the sides - but don't worry, they don't flash or anything. The counter's style is no more distracting than anything else within the shop, in fact it blends in pretty well!
The shopkeeper, Galilea Grimaldi, can usually be found sitting or standing behind the counter alone or with the company of her toddler, Fitz. If not, again - don't worry, she's still somewhere in the store; probably in the backroom or off helping a customer. Hold tight and she'll be right with you!
OOC: Please do not chat in this thread unless it's with the shopkeeper (Shanners)! This thread is for check-out as well as asking questions and/or for assistance, and there are two other threads for RP chatter.

Just a nasty prank to play on someone you don't like. They're all different, so it just depends, but I've heard they do everything from breaking lamps to setting houses on fire." Wesley gave a nonchalant shrug. "Nothing that can't be fixed."
Ooooooo, it was HAPPY!Shopkeeper!!! Even better!!! This just made her smile get wider. It was always better when they were happy!!!
Her eyes widened when he said there was an actual demon in there. "Really?! COOOOOL!!! I want one! How much are they 'cause I might want more than one actually!" The woman was a constant source of annoyance and she needed something that would really do the trick. "Who came up with that idea anyway? It's pretty neat!" It WAS. Wow, a demon, she could already see all the danger and havoc associated with it and more importantly she could see a very miserable step-mother. Oh but wasn't he whispering...? Quite suddenly she quieted down. "Sorry about that..." She whispered.
In the silence that followed she tried thinking of a reason for giving Amanda her 'present'. It wasn't the woman's birthday and Christmas was still a good way off. She looked to the man again when he started talking. "It is?! Then it's perfect!!! See I don't like the woman very much so I'll have fun with this!" Her eyes grew wider with excitement. Eeeep! It could do all that?!?!? She'd definitely give it to her to take to work with her!! Hehehehehe! "Awesome!! Does it hurt people too???"

Lex waited with an anxious smile as the man tried to think up the price. She would've choked when she heard it but 'cept for the fact that before the left the house earlier she'd gotten into an argument with the woman and ended up 'crying' to her father. Good 'ole crocodile tears, they came in quite handy. Her father ended up giving her 5 galleons to spend how she wanted--of course she still couldn't buy more than one because well, she still had to buy candy and she didn't want to limit the amount of candy she had. The kid would rather be happy than have the woman upset. "I guess I'll take one then and see how it goes...for now I don't think it's as important as candy." GRIN.
So those two came up with the idea! Pfft. She should have known. No one else was as brilliant with pranking as them. "That was a dumb question...wasn't it...?"
This man was pretty neat. He wasn't trying to give her some lecture on buying dangerous pranks or not liking people. He was as nice as the man in the candy shop!!! The smile nearly vanished when he said the damage wouldn't be permanent. That was slightly disappointing. She felt people learnt their lesson well once they had a permanent reminder...still, this thing was pretty cool. "I see...and there's no way I could get in trouble for it....right? Like it doesn't show the owner or anything...disappears afterwards maybe...or something...?" Something that wouldn't get her grounded when Amanda went crying to her dad.

Aww, that wasn't a dumb question. Poor girl. "My dear, there is no such thing as a dumb question." He thought about adding some super intelligent thing to the end of those words of wisdom, but he couldn't think of anything good. So he just left it at that.
Ah, yes... Wesley was wondering when this question would come up. Would she get in trouble? Would the victim know it was HER? "If you are discovered, then however much trouble you are in does not involve me. That is why..." Wesley dug his hand around the third drawer under his counter before pulling out a piece of paper and slapping it on the counter for the girl to see. "I have a contract. By signing this, you are stating that you know that I, nor the store, am responsible for any injuries, punishments, or destruction caused by the item - in this case, the Fantabulous Demon Wonderbox." Wesley grinned at the girl and handed her a pen. "Oh, and I don't know that it will disappear. But you'll have to let me know when you find out." Teehee.
Tanner walked up to the counter, cuddling her pygmy puff in her arms. She admitted that she wasn't much of a 'cute things' person, but these she would have to make an exception for. They were like little baby dolls, only covered in fur and actually alive. She couldn't wait to check her little puff ball out, name it something cool, and then take it home. And then after to Hogwarts of course.

Leaving Miks behind, Kaiden hurried up to the counter. He was so anxious to get out of there, and away from that girl. He even looked over his shoulder a couple of times, hoping she wasn’t following. He didn’t need her scary threats… even if they were supposed to be nice, according to West. The forth year boy shifted nervously from foot to foot waiting for his turn in line so he could buy these fluffy things..

Wesley leeaaaned against his shiny, mahogany counter, that actually wasn't that shiny anymore, and observed as the two girls tried to bounce on their pogo sticks AND pay him money at the same time.
The results were impressive.
Wesley accepted the money. "Well, by golly, you dun' it!" he exclaimed with a strange, somewhat American accent as he stored the money in his cash register. Then he reached under the counter and grabbed out two wrapped caramel candies and tossed one to each girl. "Your marvelous efforts have deserved you a caramel! Or it might be a Ton Tongue Toffee. They look the same." So, have fun finding that out for him.

That just sealed it, then. Mo was a terrible terrible person, and an even worse friend. Cleo couldn't even stand to talk to Mo, and they'd been friends for ages. Years. Maybe even a decade. It felt like someone had punched him in the gut, and he really had no clue how to respond. Should he argue?
Or should he let her go?
"You really will owl me, though? Don't just say you will and then not do it." Because he wasn't mad or crazed, but he couldn't stand the idea that she would just leave and not contact him again. He scooted up toward the counter with Cleo, picking creatures out of her hair.
Cleo nodded her head and tried to say yes but didn't because she was pouting and sniffing and she didn't want him to ask questions but Mo was a top question asker and she didn't even know what kind of answers his questions would need. She felt less weight on her head, too, and less pulling.
"Excuse me." The fifteen-years-old spread all the seven of pygmy puffs on the counter and wiped her face with her hand. "I want to buy those seven pygmy puffs please? I didn't bring a cage--" Wibble. "--I couldn't carry it with them in my arms." And she wanted to move out from Mo's way as quickly as possible. But here he was still sticking with her, which was lovely.
There was a girl and a boy already at the counter when Sophie arrived with Jazz in one hand, his new cage, two packs of glow-in-the-dark gum, and headless hat she had snatched up along the way in the other. The gum could be fun in Astronomy class, maybe, or... or even just in the dormitory! Or if she and Ella went out for that nighttime dance in the courtyard! And the headless hat... well... the possibilities were a bit endless with that one.
She was struggling to keep the cage, gum, and hat balanced on the same arm and it didn't seem like the line was going to move quickly enough before she dropped something, so Sophie casually bent her head forward and tossed the headless hat onto her head by one of the pink feathers. Then she adjusted her hold on the cage and packs of gum.
And Sophie just stood there in line. Seemingly headless and awaiting her turn to pay for her goods, perfectly content with the world as her new pygmy puff nestled itself into her palm.

As soon as Wesley got back to the counter from the balloon stand, he saw a girl come up to the counter. Aww, a sad girl? Sad girl was sad, but WHY? She had seven pygmy puffs! How could someone with seven pygmy puffs be SAD?
Err... "It's okay, sunshine, I've got a cage here." Wesley pulled a cage out from under the counter and set it on top, opening the door for the little puffs to make their way inside.
"Well, that will be 7 galleons," Wesley said, slightly apprehensively. Did this young girl have that kind of money? What if she didn't? And she cried MORE? Wesley didn't like tears! "But, before I let you take these home, you have to promise me something." Wes leaned against the counter and looked the girl in the teary eyes. Okay? Okay. "No more tears." Wes reached out and-- boop! poked her nose. INSTANT HAPPY BUTTON. Right?

After casually looking around the shop for some couple of minutes Tag had remembered something one of his friends had told him. So, he went to the area he needed to go to, and after a couple of jumps, because he was a rather short guy, Tag finally managed to get what he wanted. Fireworks! Once he'd gotten that he went around to the toy center of the shop and snatched up one of those mini shooting stars set.
He then made his way to the Front Counter and set his Wildfire Whizzbangs and the mini shooting star set onto the table. "Hello boss!" Tag said with a grin. Come on Wesley, you know you like Tag. Wink Wink.

She'd ask Radley when he was older, seeing as it was going to be his after all. He'd probably try to eat the bear during teething or now or something or whatever. Slobbery Elcat. Huh. The bear, not the HUMANS. The humans weren't slobbery. "Here," Els said quickly as they became the next people to be served, and handed Cat her share of the money towards Elcat bear.
Now to juggle her OWN pickings. Spaghetti the hugging bear, Coulson the fairy doll, and two skipping ropes. Well then. Cat could totes make conversation with the shopkeeper; Elodie was too busy pulling faces at her bear. BOOOOOOO AT CHU.

Wesley started off at a regular voice and then he leaned forward towards Tag and so he did the same. Ohhhh, was he going to have Tag go on some sort of secret WWW spy mission? That would be awesome! Whoa! All of this for seven galleons. Figuring the fireworks would cost more than the total price Wesley was giving him for everything Tag was very lucky indeed. He smiled big at the dude and placed the items on the counter as he fished through his wallet and pulled out 7 galleons and placed them on the counter. "What a discount!"
