Notices

Vaults The vaults are reached by means of small, goblin-driven carts that sped along miniature train tracks through the bank's underground tunnels. Beware of sphinxes and the Thief's Downfall! [Only characters who have the approval of the Gringotts Goblins should RP here or else expect rather severe (perhaps even deadly) IC consequences!]

Default Vault #850

VAULT #850

An old family vault belonging to the Cadwalladers has been recently inspected and reopened by goblin staff. The vault is deep underground, large with high security, designed for families and businesses. Once allowed inside, the vault is decorated with precious gems, stacked neatly in several rolls of rare dragon hide, ancient wizarding texts, and archaic runes. A goblin-made armor sits near an enchanted mirror and a sarcophagus. In the center of it all is the stacks of galleons, sickles, and knuts. This vault requires a key as well as the touch of a goblin along the detailed framework of the door - any human not on the approved access list would be sucked into the vault upon inspection and stuck inside for up to a decade should they ever attempt to venture in without a Gringotts goblin's help.

Wand: 11 inches, cherry, unicorn tail hair core
Key Type: ornate brass key with moon symbol
Access Approved For: (badger_boy_93)
  • Damocles Cadwallader
  • Philomena Cadwallader
  • Xerxes Cadwallader

After the ride, Sagni stepped out with the Cadwallader family. "This way please, mind your step." She went immediately over to the door of the vault, and inserted the key followed by her own goblin key in the twin locks. Afterward, Sagni drew over long-nailed finger over the intricate tracing around the lock that, with a clatter, the mechanism began unwinding across the entire door. It took a few minutes.

Sagni pulled the door open then stepped out of the way so that the boy could take care of whatever business he had in there. "Your vault. Once you're finished, you're free to step back into the cart and we'll be off." Sagni would not bother to look inside their vault, for she felt it was none of her business. Instead she kept the lantern steady for them to see her once they were finished.

"Thank you my good lady, goblin I should say." Damocles said, stepping past the goblin to enter his family's vault. He took a moment to look around and appraise the content of the vault. Then deciding that it all looked in order, he stepped deeper into the vault; pulling a medium sized leather pouch out from beneath his robes. He scooped up 200 gold galleons into the pouch and then turned to his wife. "Do we need anything else while we're in here? How about some more dragon hide for you to make into a new pair of boots or some new dress robes?"

"No dear. Not right now. That should be plenty for the next few weeks. We need to get moving if we are gonna get all of Xerxes shopping done today. A new student at Hogwarts needs all sorts." replied Philomena. "What would you like to buy first my dear Xerxes?"

"Ooooooo. A wand. A wand. I want to get my wand first. That's the most important thing for a wizard. Can we go there first please?" Xerxes said, his voice anxious with anticipation.

"Of course my little nogtail hunter. We'll head right over to Ollivander's after this." Damocles said to his son. He then put his arm around his wife and led her, and his son, out of the vault. "We are ready to head back up to the main hall now. Thank you so much for your assistance." He then took a shiny gold galleon out of the pouch and flipped it through the air to the goblin. "A little something for your trouble, my dear." He then approached the cart with his family and watched then climb inside, following a few seconds later himself.

Did she look like a charity case? Sagni grimaced at some of the customs wizards had regarding generosity. If the wizard were alone, they'd have quite a few choice words from her. But this was a family event, so instead, she stood motionless as the coin flew past her into the abyss. Goblins were not interested in getting free stuff from wizards.

"Mind your step." Sagni said as she held the lantern to guide them back into the cart. "Now hang on tight." As soon as they were strapped in, her fingers shifted the gears in place before they headed back to the main hall.

OOC: Thank you for visiting Gringotts! Since Diagon Alley is closed to students now until next IC summer, no reply is necessary here. The adult family members, however, can revisit anytime.
