“What shall we do?” Helga Hufflepuff asked.
“Die and have our ghosts sort the children?” Salazar Slytherin suggested.
“Salazar thou art being incompetent.” Rowena Ravenclaw said.
“Do you have a better idea, Rowena?”
“A quiz of the mind?” Rowena suggested.
“I have a better idea friends!” Godric Gryffindor smiled.
Godric took his pointed black hat and said an unusual spell. The hat’s seam ripped apart and it began to sing.

“What is it?” a sleepy Rowena said a boy’s voice came to her ears.
“Wake up Rowena!” Godric Gyffyndor said, “Come on Salazar and Helga are waiting. The skinny girl of twelve nodded and slip out of bed. She blushed to be seen in her night shift, but Godric didn’t care, they had known each other for the longest time. Rowena sliped on a dress over her pajamas, finger-combed her long black hair and turned to Godric. He stood there waiting, a tall boy with alert blue eyes and sandy hair. He was holding a lit torch.
“Ready?” he asked.
