[banner to come] Hi! I’m Shannon, and I promise that I’m not that scary. Apart from my ninja-ism. That can be scary. These are my drabbles, about my current school character; Kaia Barnard. Some may include her current and/or future family members. Each drabble will be accompanied by a date and an age, more for my usage with my timeline. “Kai, don’t be whingey brat. You need to look more feminine.”
“Feminine?! I’m as feminine as can be! I don’t burp or fart in public! Kinda. Maybe. Okay. I don’t FART in public. And this is pink! And it has glitter on it! AND IT’S FRILLY! Oh, and there’s totally an underskirt! I can see it!”
The curtain was pulled back sharply, and the older brunette just rolled her eyes once more. “It’s pretty-”

Her boyfriend had laughed as he waved her note in her face after sneaking up behind her, and wrapping his arms around her. Kaia had squealed, and she had kissed his cheek, and offered a sandwich.
"I spelt it right, don't even start saying I didn't." She accused quickly, her eyes narrowing as he laughed at her.
"Use a dictionary, Kaia."
"Use the right name, Superman."
She smirked a little and stood up, pulling him up afterwards, and started to set the telescope up.

Sure, they’re pretty cool with their inventions and stuff, but WHY would you cut them up to study their insides? I was never told we killed people. I’m going to go home.”
“Miss Barnard, I appreciate your opinion but-“
“Furthermore, I really don’t see the point in cutting things open, we did that in my old school. We cut a frog up, and its guts went everywhere. Right over this kid, Billy Finch. It was horrible. Honest.”

“I’m preparing him for his future, you snake haters!”

Eyes widening, the three eight year olds glanced at one another, and then at the tree which had snapped in half before them.
“I’m telling mummy!” The eldest stated, turning on her heel and running.
“I’m gonna call you a badword. FISHBUTT!” The youngest squealed after the deaf triplet, and then turned her focus back to Aleera and the tree. “What do we do?”
“We run.”
“And Kaila tells?”
“We hide the tree?”
“Yeah, because people aint gonna notice that Old Oak has gone. And we can’t CARRY it!”
“We broke it. We can move it…”
They were grounded.

A smile spread across Kaia’s face. And she swung her head around the doorframe between their living room and kitchen. “You’re coming?” Like, really?
“Course I am.”
“How’d you know about it? I didn’t write it on the calender, in case you felt bad.” She shrugged a little, and then laughed as he tapped the back page of the prophet, right by a picture of her smashing a bludger right for the lens.

“I’ve heard it all. Josephine went on about how he looks like a little puppy, and she wants to squish him. Kaila’s decided that he’s gonna be a heartbreaker. And my mummy says he’ll be like his daddy.”
“Oh, Kaila’s right.”
“Beau Leopold Montague, by the way.”
“Leopold?”
The mother of two’s eyes softened, she nodded politely, and rested her head on her best friend’s shoulder. “After the best.”
