100 Drabbles for Ollie and Giddy
Credit goes to Jenn! <3 Hello! My name is Danielle and these are my first ever drabbles, written about the relationship of my previous SSRPG character's parents (Ryden Di Marco). They are Olivia Brandon and Guido Di Marco, she of many friends and he of just the one. Most of the drabbles will feature either one or both of them but sometimes I’ll insert other characters and credit them here. I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I love writing them!

25. Sorting Hat
First year; Hogwarts “HUFFLEPUFF!” cried the Sorting Hat, and the little first year half smiled, half groaned as he watched the only girl he knew at Hogwarts beam and bounce to her house table. There was no way he’d be in Hufflepuff.
As he was called up, Guido patted down his dark, unruly hair and took his place on the stool. Just before the hat could cover his eyes, he caught sight of Olivia’s grin and two thumbs up. For one quick moment, his face flushed bright red and he fervently wished to be in Hufflepuff.

“Giddy, you won’t BELIEVE how horrible Drella was this morning. She was in a terrible mood and RUINED my day,” Olivia stated, staring glumly down at her hands. “I couldn’t get my charms right…” she added and let out a puff of air, causing her fringe to fly up.
Guido felt VERY ANGRY at this Drella person. In fact, he was going to go TELL her not to mess with Olivia. HMPF. “Tell me what she looks like and I’ll go tell her to cut it out, ok?” he said gently.
Olivia looked up, confused. “But, Giddy… Drella’s my wand.”

Second year; Hogwarts
“GIDDDYYYYY!!” Olivia shrieked as she ran into the Great Hall, making straight for the Slytherin table. Reaching him, she yanked his arm and ran outside the hall to courtyard.
“OLLIE, WAIT! Tell me what it is? Should I get a Professor?” Guido insisted as he ran to keep up with her, almost tripping over his own shoes.
“You need to speak to him,” the brunette pointed, stopping abruptly at a seemingly random corner.
Guido was confused until he found the snake. “Olivia Brandon, for the millionth time, I do NOT speak parseltongue!”
“But he ate Whiskers!”
“Who?”
“My transfiguration homework!”

“My, don’t you look dashing?” Olivia whispered in Guido’s ear and smirked as the much taller boy jumped HIGH in the air.
“Ollie! Wh-what are you doing here?! I thought you went home!” Guido stammered, blushing a deep red.
Olivia shrugged. “Decided to stay, and thank Merlin I did. Imagine I wouldn’t have seen THIS?!” she giggled, and tiptoed up to peck his lips, carefully avoiding the robes.
Guido smiled and kissed her back, then scowled as he picked at the bright red and green frills that were his dress robes. “I’ll KILL Lea.”
Olivia just laughed. “Let’s dance, Giddy.”

Third year; Hogwarts; February 17th
It was five minutes to midnight on February 16th, and fourteen year old Guido couldn’t sleep. In his pyjamas, he tiptoed into Slytherin the common room.
Ever since the big fight, Guido hadn’t talked to her. But Ollie Brandon had thousands of friends and he knew that there was no chance she was missing him.
“Happy Birthday Ollie,” Guido murmured as the clock struck midnight.
In the Hufflepuff common room, Olivia fingered a worn out birthday card, her eyes red, reading the words over and over again. “Happy birthday Ollie on your thirteenth birthday, from Giddy GUIDO!”
Both teens sighed.

“UGH. I don’t just hate your father – I HATE YOU TOO. You’re HORRID. Daddy explained and I didn’t get much but I DO know that it wasn’t Dad’s fault an-“
“You’re so stupid – when MY father explained it, I understood EVERYTHING.”
“I’m NOT stupid,” Ollie replied, sudden tears in her eyes. “I NEVER want to see you again, Guido. EVER.”
“SEE IF I CARE,” was Guido’s reply, but he felt the most horrible wrench in his gut as he watched her curls bounce away.

“Come ON,” Ollie stated, hands on her hips, eyeing the box he was holding. She smothered a smile that would have embarrassed him, and grinned widely as he removed the lid.

“Kneazle; her name is Bubbles,” Giddy replied, beaming.
Bubbles yelped as she was dropped to the ground, and looked up to see Olivia and Guido kissing. HMPF. Bubbles was MUCH more important than some liplocking.

… “But GIDDY!”
“You were the one who told me to stop you in the first place, remember?” Guido insisted, rubbing sleep from his eyes as he eyed his pregnant wife.
“I take it back then! I am PREGNANT. I have cravings. Oh, PLEASE? This is my LAST time. You’ll see tomorrow! I promise I’ll sleep,” she replied back, resting the mostly eaten bar on her swollen belly.
Guido sighed. “Which flavor is it this time?”
“Red Hot Chili Peppers chocolate, like that old muggle rock band! It’s REALLY hot, and even has a sketch of Flea!” Dedicated to one of my favourite bands, RHCP. <3

“OI, GOOEY BOY!” an older Slytherin yelled, smirking, but Guido had his eyes on his CoMC homework about the ways of the hippogriffs and ignored him.
Enraged, the boy flicked his wand and snarled.
“… believe hippogriffs to be dangerous and harmful, but the noble animals are quite harmless once…-“
“OW!! WHAT?” Guido snapped, rubbing his now stinging hand.
“I heard that Brandon has a boyfriend! Still pining, GooGoo? Came to her senses, didn’t she? Finally saw the smelly, gooey slime!”
As he and his band of baboons erupted with laughter, Guido slipped out quietly, his teardrops ruining the essay.

88. Sweet Tooth
Third-Fourth year; Summer holidays It was another boiling summer’s day in Italy, and Olivia was craving something sweet. The hotel was all OUT of chocolate apparently, and she’d eaten through her stores this morning.
GELATO!
Finding a somewhat familiar looking stall, she grinned at the vendor, and he smiled back, clearly recognising her. “Welcome back, principessa! You are little Di Marco’s friend, no? I make your favourite – I give you free!” he beamed at her, and to Olivia’s horror, began making her EXFRIEND’s favourite ice-cream.
The sun went behind a cloud. A wind picked up. Ollie’s smile turned upside down and she walked away.

Fifth year; Christmas break; Rome It was sunset.
An icy breeze picked up around Guido and Olivia as they walked along the Tiber, Guido’s jacket wrapped tightly around Olivia’s thin frame. The wind blew her dark hair back and Guido thought she looked breathtaking.
He stopped. Olivia followed.
“Ollie- Olivia,” he began, swallowing a lump as he looked at her, unable to turn away. Noticing she was shivering slightly, Guido stepped closer to her, shielding her from the cold.
Her eyes. Her hair. Her smell. Guido leaned down, cupped her face in his hands and kissed Olivia for the first time.
And it felt amazing.

“OLIVIA BRANDON! I love you, honestly, but get your bum OUT of the bathroom! You’ve been in there for hours and I need a shower!” Guido yelled, and banged on the door for what seemed like the millionth time.
“Just a sec, I’m almost done!” came the preoccupied reply, and the Italian groaned.
“Okay, WHAT are you doing there?!”
“… Er. Working? Reading.”
“WHAT?! WHY can’t you read out here, mad woman??”
To Guido’s immense relief, the door finally opened.
“Because. I can concentrate better there – besides, today’s newspaper is FASCINATING,” Ollie remarked, winking, and giggled at his expression.

Olivia turned away from Grandpa’s grave in tears, still unable to believe he was gone. There was only one person she knew she could lean on, but their relationship was tentative; she didn’t want to lose Guido again.
Looking to the cousin next to her, an annoying boy who didn’t care about Grandpa, Olivia sighed sadly. “I guess from now on I’ll be able to see thestrals.”

Olivia’s scream pierced the quiet afternoon.
Jumping off the sofa, Guido hurried towards the bedroom, expecting the absolute worst, judging by the decibels, but there she was, safe and healthy.
SIGH. “OLLIE. Don’t SCARE me like that… What is it?” he asked, taking in her pale features.
Raising a shaking wand, the brunette pointed at a dark corner in the room where the blackness seemed to be MOVING.
“It’s… it’s… COCKROACHES. HORRIBLE MASSIVE COCKROACHES, GIDDY. I’ve contained them for now,” she indicated her wand, “but YOU NEED TO GET RID OF THEM. I hate this dorm. It’s TEEMING WITH DISGUSTIES.”

Shaking his head, Guido stared at the crystal ball in front of him then glanced around once more to check no one was around. “Remind me how you got this again…”
“I didn’t steal it I promise… Someone left it lying around in the common room,” Olivia stated, grinning.
“OLLIE!”
“I SWEAR I’ll give it back! I just wanted to see if we were Seers!”
“Well, I see fog too.”
… “You’re not even TRYING.”
Guido gave her a LOOK. “That’s because we’re not SEERS. We won’t SEE anything.”
“Spoilsport.”

Some vague time in their lives when I put the banner in; “OI. DANIELLE,” Ollie pouted upwards, hands on her hips, while Guido squinted in the same direction, not exactly pleased either.
… “Yes?” Uh oh.
“What is UP with my hair in the banner? I’ve got CURLS. And my eyes are always BROWN!” Ollie called upwards, beginning to take out her wand.
“I’m with Ollie! What’s up with my older self’s EXPRESSION?! And the HAIR? Danielle, we DEMAND that you make us look better!”
Both characters crossed their arms and huffed up at me.
I rolled my eyes. “Ollie – you sometimes straighten your hair; Guido – you look dashing. Quit fussing.”
Psht.

“Are you sure? All magic?” Guido couldn’t help injecting, eyeing his girlfriend critically.
“… You want muggle don’t you?” Ollie replied, eyeing her boyfriend right back.
“I just think that wizards should form neighbourhoods of their own, not TOWNS. We should be integrated with them, despite the statute!”
“Psht. FINE. Though I want magic neighbours. AND I want charms placed on our house. AND – I want that place in Florence. I thought it was the best.”
Guido beamed, then picked Olivia up and spun her around.
“Muggle it is, then.”

“I ALWAYS get just a white disc thing… I NEVER get the proper one,” Ollie ranted, pouting slightly as she eyed Guido.
“You just need to practice more… It’s not hard, I promise. Just think of something that makes you REALLY happy,” he replied, and watched the familiar silver fox bound around the walls.
“But LOADS of things make me happy.”
. . . “Perhaps Quidditch?”
“Doesn’t work.”
A strange expression came over the brunette, and she stared at Guido for a moment before pulling out her wand.
“EXPECTO PATRONUM!” she yelled, and shrieked as out came… a mockingbird.
“GIDDDDDDDDDDDYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!”

“HOW can you be so nonchalant anyway? It’s NEWTs! N-E-W-T NEWTS!! And you’re just humming there like it’s first year all over again!” she insisted, eyeing him suspiciously.
“I’m POSITIVE. I’m HOPEFUL. And therefore I shall pass with flying colours!” the seventeen year old grinned, and shot her a very un-Guido-like beam.

It was FUNNY.
“The effects should be wearing off by now,” Olivia commented, then smirked. “Perhaps if I aided it along?” she added, then raised her hand and slapped her boyfriend smartly across the cheek.

“Let’s DO something!” insisted Lea Di Marco, annoyed with her brother’s moping.
“I’d rather not,” he replied, and continued to stare out the window at the Tuscan landscape.
“I’LL start, and you follow and you HAVE to play,” Lea stated. “If I had a timeturner, I’d go back and stop myself from rejecting Kirk Lightwood,” she giggled to herself. “YOUR turn.”
Guido didn’t want to play. Guido didn’t want to think. Guido didn’t want to get dragged into this conversation. But Guido’s mouth had different ideas. “If I had one, I’d go back and stop myself from calling her stupid.”

“SHH!!” Ollie whispered as her clumsy oaf of a friend knocked into a suit of armour.
“HEY. I can’t see a bloody thing! Not all of us walk down this corridor every single day, Olivia the Hufflepuff,” Guido whispered back, folding his arms as he shook his leg. It HURT.
Olivia sighed and pressed on, her hand still trailing on the wall when she found it; the painting of the pear. Tickling it lightly, she grinned as the door opened to reveal piles upon piles of delicious food. How she LOVED those elves!
“Now – let’s FEAST!”

“Anything off the trolley dears?”
Guido glanced around the empty compartment before looking at the lady, trying not to seem upset by her inaccuracy.
He sighed. “A box of Bertie Bott’s, Droobles Best Blowing Gum, two chocolate frogs and a liquorice wand,” Guido rattled off the usual list and as he stood up to pay her.
It hit him only as he watched the lady with the trolley roll away that he hates liquorice wands. The person who likes them wasn’t here. Now angry, he slammed the compartment doors shut and kicked the seat in frustration as the glass shattered.
