1. Accio

The sound of screams and shouts woke Narcissa up. Blinking lazily, the witch felt beside her and realized that her husband was missing. His plan had worked.

Narcissa rolled in her bed but could not fall asleep again. The volume of bangs outside their tent was gradually increasing. Ministry employees were going to suspect their family if they were sleeping like they were on a picnic, as if no muggles were floating outside their tent, or wizards under hoods were blasting people off.

She sat up of her bed and stretched her arms. Narcissa could hear her son Draco waking up, groaning, in the room next door. "Accio cloak." she whispered, walking towards his son, as her dark indigo cloak flew casually into her hand from the floor above. "Draco, let's go. It's time." With that, Narcissa gently pulled Draco's hand and walked out of the tent.

2. Avada Kedavra

2. Avada Kedavra

The two of them walked silently, ignoring the screams and yells surrounding them. Narcissa's hair was tumbling out of her tight bun and soon started flying over everywhere, but she did not care about it at all.

Flashes of light flew over Narcissa and Draco’s head, and they had to duck to avoid being hit by a bright red one. A green flash of light flew past Narcissa’s ear and another one narrowly missed her elbow. Was it the Killing Curse: Avada Kedavra? They could not risk being seen murdering, especially if the victims were muggles.

Distracted, Narcissa turned around. Nothing extraordinary was happening, except for four muggles floating sixty feet above the ground and hundreds of tents on fire. Just then, a green flash of light larger than any she had seen erupted from the woods not far away. Narcissa could not help but gasp audibly. The Dark Mark was on the sky.

3. Bluebell Flames

Narcissa turned around, panicking. Her son was nowhere to be seen, and more shouts were in the air, due to the appearance of the Dark Mark. She ran through the crowd, yelling for Draco. Tears welled up in her eyes, and they dropped slowly down her cheeks.

Where could Draco possibly be? He could not have gone far away, without the ability to apparate nor a broomstick. Narcissa's thought drifted back several hours, when her family encountered the Minister of Magic, and the Weasleys. That was it. The Weasleys, Potter and the Granger girl. Draco was probably with them. Picking up some courage, Narcissa walked up to the forest, where a lot of children were taking refuge.

Draco was leaning on a tall tree near the edge of the forest, flipping a piece of gold lazily in his hand. "Draco!" Narcissa yelled, running up to hug her son. He did not seem happy at his mother's behavior. With shaking hands, Narcissa conjured Bluebell Flames and stored them inside a jar. This was what she always did when nervous. Now all they needed to do was go back home safely.

7. Confundus

7. Confundus

"Did Father cast that Dark Mark, Mother? What will happen to him if he gets caught by the Ministry wizards?" Draco was firing off questions all the way back to the tent. Narcissa bit her lower lip anxiously, ignoring her son as best as she could. "Mother..." "Confundus!" she said, eyes wide, turning suddenly to Draco. He shuddered slightly, stared blankly up at his mother, and continued walking silently.

Lucius was already inside their tent, sitting on the bed. His breathing was shallow, but otherwise did not seem hurt. He stumbled towards his family and whispered a single inaudible word just before collapsing on the neat carpet. Narcissa sighed. A weird event was happening in the Wizarding World right now, but she was not going to let them harm her.

6. Crucio

6. Crucio

Every part of her body was aching as if she was under the Cruciatus Curse. Narcissa could not think of anything as her feet slammed into the ground along with the portkey. They were home, at last, away from danger. Without a single glance at her family members, the witch took big strides towards the handsome mansion looming towards her under the moonlight at the end of the straight drive. She was never more delighted of the presence of the high and neatly manicured hedge curving next to her before, as it blocked out her feeling of being watched.

Narcissa placed her white hand on the doorknob of her front door and stopped. She heard a fountain playing in the garden and changed her direction. If she could stay away from her husband and son for a while, if she could arrange the thoughts piled up in her mind, maybe she could endure this difficult time.
