Intelligent & Wise: 50 Ficlet's on Rowena Ravenclaw by Britt - Sa13+ Banner by Purrr and Mrrreow Pet Shop Rowena was in a hurry and in no time to look for important documents. Unfortunatly she couldn't cast a spell until she had her wand in her hand. Feeling frustrated, Rowena scanned her messy office with her sapphire blue eyes to spot the slender tip of her wand coming from under an open book. She snatched it up and flicked her wrist, performing the accio charm in one swifty movement. The document she wanted flew directly into her hands. |
Rowena rolled her eyes at Salzar droned on and on about some recent adventure he'd been on. Honestly, Rowena thought, these meetings sometimes are so pointless! She glanced up at the golden clock above the door- her jaw dropped. There were exactly three hours left. She looked over at Godric and Helga, both of whom seemed to being enjoying themselves. Rowena knew Helga was too nice to do otherwise and Godric was Salzar's best friend. After the (long) three hours had passed and Helga and Godric had both left Salzar's office Rowena approached him. "Excellent job, Salzar." She said, a glimmer of mischief in her blue eyes. "Why thank y-" Before Salzar had finised thanking Rowena, he fell flat on his back. His green eyes narrowed and seemed to focus on her wand. Salzar was obviously angry- petrificus totalus was a handy little spell, she thought. Smirking, Rowena walked confidently out of his office. It a little game they liked to play on each other, Rowena was often called the most intelligent and Salzar the most cunning. They often challenged each other. And besides..someone would find him...eventually. |
"What a delightful shade of blue Rowena!" Helga exclaimed while watching her own magically enchanted knitting needles clink together, already forming what looked to be a yellow cloak. Rowena rolled her sapphire blue eyes while Helga's back was turned. How she hated knitting! But it was just the sort of thing Helga enjoyed..and since they were best friends Rowena did it to please her. "Why thank you Helga." She replied politley. "You're cloak is coming along fine.." Helga beamed, "How I do love a good knitting session, don't you agree?" Rowena nodded, biting her tongue, not trusting herself to say how she detested it. She swished her wand and said the knitting charm silently so as to start another pair of needles going. It would also look like Rowena was actually doing something. Rowena then turned her back to Helga and started practicing charm work on small objects- Helga would be too preoccupied with knitting to notice. Rowena grinned and watched a quill zoom around the floor. |
Dedicated to Jor<33 Rowena shivered and watched Helga dissapear down the lane before turning on her heel and walking briskly in the opposite direction. She felt a creepy, almost eerie presence about her- as if someone was following her. Rowena shook the thought from her head and filled her mind with positive thoughts. This worked for a few minutes until the strange sensation returned. Slowly, Rowena turned around to see a dementor gliding towards her. At first, panic washed over her immedieatly but then it dawned on Rowena that a dementor was no worse than perhaps a dragon. Filled with self-confidence Rowena flicked her wand and shouted, "Expecto Patronum!" she was concentrating hard on good memories, so hard her eyes were squeezed shut and her face was scrunched up in concentration. When Rowena opened her eyes she saw the she had taken care of the dementor. |
Dedicated to Sabwina! Rowena yawned loudly- there was no one to hear. It was extremely late but she had to get the paperwork in front done. The plans for the school Rowena and her friends were planning to open were underway and going extremely well. Rowena glanced through bleary blue eyes at the golden clock above the doorway - it was four in the morning. Yawning again, she accidently knocked her candle over with her arms. Silently cursing her clumsiness, Rowena mouthed a spell to douse the fire and then, since it was pitchblack she also silently conjured the lumos charm for a bit of light. |
Rowena quickly finished her letter, flourishing the end with her signature. She sealed the end with the tip of her wand and still clutching it, hurried over to her owl's cage. Rowena was careful not to trip over her robes as she approached Pumpkin's cage. Pumpkin, Rowena's owl, was extremely skittish and also an unusual color of orange- which was why her name was Pumpkin. "Pumpkin." Rowena whispered softly, "Take this to the Ministry for me, okay?" Pumpkin ruffled her feathers and turned around so her back was facing Rowena. Her face clouded with confusion, "Pumpkin! What's wrong?" The owl continued to ignore her in which Rowena got annoyed. She roughly attached the letter to the owl, Pumpkin twitched and bite her finger. "Ouch!" Rowena squeezed her eyes shut and then opened them and noticed the cage was extremely gross. There was the problem- "Scourgify!" Rowena said, cleaning the cage. Pumpkin glady took the letter and hooted at Rowena. |
Rowena sat daydreaming at her desk. Of everything she hoped to accomplish and everything that would soon be. The plans for the school were all set, hopefully nothing would go wrong. Rowena felt though as if she were floating on a cloud. Then, glancing at the clock she stood up. Rowena whispered 'nox' and her wand went out. |
