1. Herbology:
“Excuse me Professor Sprout,” Firenze said as he entered her classroom. “I don’t mean to interrupt, but could I please borrow a few mandrake leaves for today’s lesson?”
“Of course,” she answered happily, pointing toward a bucket at the end of the greenhouse.
As the centaur trotted down to gather his specimens, the 4th year girls Sprout was teaching looked at him in awe.
As the centaur left, one of the girls by the name of Romilda Vane said quietly to her friend, “Firenze is gorgeous! I can’t believe we have to wait another week before we have Divination again!”

44. Ford Anglia:
Firenze liked walking late at night through the forest. It gave him time to think and gather his thoughts, and sometimes he did some star gazing.
He thought he heard noise in the distance, but he figured it was probably some kids playing around on the grounds. It was the first night of the term, after all.
Suddenly, something shot through the trees. It was light blue, had light projecting out of its front, and seemed to be made of some kind of metal.
And as soon as it appeared, it vanished, leaving a very stunned centaur in its wake.

100.Homework
“Alright, that is all for today class,” Firenze said.
Everyone began to pack up. They had just finished with a very rough lesson concerning the shapes that leaves fell to the ground in during fall. They had only had three classes with him since Trelawney had been sacked and the lessons got harder everyday.
“Professor, is there any homework?” Dean Thomas asked. It was strange for professors to not give any.
Firenze looked at him with a puzzled face, “Homework? What is that?”
No one bothered to answer and the class hurried out the door before he could ask again.

41. Thestrals
Firenze and Bane had been walking for hours before they finally found what they were looking for.
In the middle of a clearing in the Forbidden Forest lay a dead unicorn in a pool of its silver blood.
“Poor creature, that’s the third one in a month,” Firenze said as he shook his head.
The calm scene was suddenly disturbed as the unicorn’s flesh started ripping away from the corpse and vanished.
“That’s sick,” Bane said in disgust.
“Bane, that is the thestral’s way of life,” Firenze said.
Bane just shook his head and trotted away from the disgusting scene.

13. Quidditch
All the wizards in the world seemed to be obsessed with it. What was so entertaining about a bunch of students flying around on shaped pieces of wood?
Firenze stopped and watched. Sometimes the students went so fast they blurs of color. Today they were red and green.
Occasionally someone would fall from the sky, and then the spectators started screaming. Yet they continued to play.
Firenze stopped watching when Bane approached him.
“Firenze, stop being foolish. Let the humans fall to their deaths!”
Firenze told himself that Bane was right, but it didn’t stop him from wondering about it.

37. Animagus
Firenze and Bane were again out on their nightly walks, looking at the stars and searching for anything unusual.
Firenze wondered off for a moment and looking into a clearing to find a man dressed in raged clothing. He was drinking water out of a pond, and when he was done, he stood up and transformed into a giant black dog!
Firenze had heard about these wizards and turned around to shout for Bane when he realized he was next to him.
“Should we tell someone?” Firenze asked.
“Nah. I doubt it’s anything unusual. I probably isn’t dangerous or anything.”

18. Whomping Willow
All the centaurs knew not to go near it. It was completely dangerous, unlike anything in their woods.
Firenze had seen things occur around that tree. Once, Harry Potter was said to have crashed a flying car (whatever THAT was) into it! But the best thing that happened occurred a few nights ago, when he witnessed some children (and a few adults) push a knot on the tree and disappear into its roots.
Firenze tried it and succeeded. The tree became his favorite place to sit, a place where he could escape the forest and be alone with his thoughts.

58. Hoot
Owls were probably some of the most annoying creatures on the planet, at least in Firenze’s opinon.
The woods were filled with hundreds of them, mostly owls that didn’t like staying in the special tower the school had for them. It was almost impossible to walk around the forest without an owl swooping about your head. Plus, they left their droppings everywhere, which was plain disgusting.
Firenze was awfully tired this night, but it was taking him hours to go to sleep. Every time he was about to drift off, he would hear it off in a clearing:
“Hoot, hoot,”
