Dear Miranda/Dominic: 100 Letters by Claudia & Jess - Sa13+ Hello! Myself, Jess, and my partner here, Claudia (Luna Laufghudd), will be bringing you 100 letters for our SS RPG characters, Dominic Denton and Miranda Belcanto, Hufflepuff Partners-in-crimes. Since Dominic graduated from the school and Miranda is only a 5th year, they kind of miss each other and have resorted to letter-writing as means to keep in touch. Some of these letters may make you go aww and some might make you laugh, but whatever the case, we hope you enjoy them and that they give you a glimpse of Miranda and Dom's friendship. Note: Whenever I post, it will be to Miranda (Dear Miranda); whereas, when Claudia posts it will be to Dominic (Dear Dominic). We may not always post those greetings as it will take away from the word count in the content of the letter, but it is implied =) Themes: aka: Herbology One of the most peculiar discoveries in the after Hogwarts is that Professor Bunbury actually KNEW some stuff. She wasn't just a ditsy redhead like I thought she was. Recently I was working in a Greenhouse part-time and I discovered she was right about Devil's snare and flitterblooms. Something I didn't think had any relevance at all to Herbology in knowing that the two plants are superficially alike. Considering my overall dislike for Bunbury and her PINKNESS, it's hard to admit that I actually might miss her. In the smallest of ways, of course. Not as much as you though. |
aka #13 Quidditch So, you are saying you'll help me do the herbology homework, I'll send it to you then, hehe! Quidditch season has started! It feels weird playing without you...or Kaika. Captaincy is really different from what I thought it'd be. Alot of fun, but intense. I remember how much we relied on you older students to make sure everything went well, it's odd having to be the person reassuring someone else now. And I keep expecting you to show up at practice... Our first match is this friday. I'll certainly be stuffing my face with chocolate. Hope you'll cheer for us! Miranda |
aka - 82. Careful Nice try, Partner! I had my share of homework completion, which admittedly was not that much. But you know me: I'm more of a test person. So I guess it's probably cliché of me to tell you to do your homework, when I did pretty well on exams without homework. I'm sure you're a wonderful captain and I so wish I was there to help you! You are a great Quidditch player, you know? Can't have imagined anyone else as replacement captain for Kaika. But please, Miranda, be careful out there at the Championship. I'll be cheering you on from where I am – but don't go breaking any limbs. |
For Sarah <3 aka #65 Ooze Aha! I'm going to be using that excuse. Naaah, ofcourse not. We Badgers are hard working...even if we might whine too much about the homework. *cough* I kept your letter with me at the game for luck, though I'm sorry to say, we didn't win the Championships this year. But second place is great too, right? I thought so, and I hope my team was happy with their efforts. They did awesome. We oozed Badgertasticness all over the place! Huzzah! Summer's here! Have anything fun planned? Unfortunately, time flies too fast, doesn't it? Hope you're enjoying it to the fullest. Miranda |
aka #94 Allergic You so should! And don't forget the determination part of the equation. I'm sorry to hear that my letter didn't bring you luck, but yes, always next year. My first two terms here, we got second too, which isn't the same as first but its better than THIRD or LAST! Love that word by the way! Nothing fun – just more research and maybe London. Will I see you? I think I'm allergic to flitterblooms by the way. Not like an allergic – cant-be-near – but rather, the 'I miss you' allergy sort. Ice cream on July 19th? My treat. Dominic |
aka #58 Hoot Oh, the letter did bring us luck, we just didn't win the game. It could've gone ALOT worse without it I think. Research? It's summer, you should be outside, enjoying the sun and the fresh air... Like when flying a broom. You'll come to London? Then yes, ofcourse we'll see eachother! It's going to be a hoot! Allergies can be a PAIN. You saying you miss flitterblooms? I'd love to go have ice-cream with you, Dominic. Just be prepared for some chocolate overload on my part. I might even let you have a taste. Hehe. July 19th – Can't wait. Miranda |
aka #59 Ignore There are no words to describe my hate. I've I cannot express my disgust for ignoring our date last summer; I wanted so badly to share ice cream and yet nothing goes as planned. For that, I can only hate myself. You've given me many chances to prove to be better, but I do not succeed. To ask for forgiveness is more selfish. I'm sorry. Dominic Note: Credit for Letter Title to the movie "Love Story" =) |
aka #92 Chocolate I was sad we didn't meet up but I understand things come in the way. You are forgiven Dominic - you're my friend and that won't change. However, in order to put this right, you will offer to buy me the X-tra Large Chocolate Frog Super Surprise Box. Deal? How are you? It's been a while since we spoke. Did you enjoy summer? I'm not at Hogwarts anymore, I've been accepted to train with the Holyhead Harpies. It's amazing and alot of fun, but I miss my friends dearly – all of you. Hope you are well. Lots of love and chocolate frogs, Miranda |
aka #23 Telescope I told you to not forgive me, Miranda! You've given me chances before and that won't change, I can tell now. But if you insist, I'll buy you that surprise box, which includes fifty percent lemondrops. You know you'll like them and they are better for you than chocolate. I am good. That is wonderful about the Quidditch! Knew you would go far in the sport; I actually am like the go-to person for Gobstones now at the Ministry! It's a lot of work, but amazing being in charge. We'll set up a telescope soon to see each other. Dominic |
aka #69 Slap Fine. Dominic, I'm breaking our friendship up because you won't change. Now, on a more cheerful note – I got smacked in the face by Eloisa de la Hoja during a game yesterday and it was awesome! Though t'was more like a slap because she was going for the Quaffle, as was I. But, the point is, we fought hard and now I got a black eye to show off. Hehe. Congratulations on your success at work! I'm happy for you, and missing you like never before. Wish you were here. Do come visit one day, if you want. Miranda |
aka #55 Egg on It took you this long to break our friendship because I won't change?! Geez, Miranda, I did not realize you were that daft. But clearly, you're daft enough to enjoy getting black eyes from quidditch. Don't you know though – I don't need a quaffle to give injuries? Just a few choice words and perhaps egging someone on and they're done for. Honestly though, you can't just break a friendship and then want that person there. That's SO contradictory. Oh right. Daft. Though I suppose, I miss you too. If nothing else, then for egging you on, you feisty badger. Dominic |
