Hey, all! I have officially decided to write 100 drabbles about Peter Pettigrew. Above is the list of the themes; the ones that have been done are coloured and crossed out. So yeah, enjoy! #18 Whomping Willow
Peter whimpered. “Gah! I’m too scared.”
“You’re such a girl,” said Sirius, rolling his eyes. “Just transform and press the knot. Piece of cake.”
Peter swallowed, and turned into a rat. He hesitated, staring at the wild, humongous tree. What if it started thrashing as he scurried through?
“Come on, do it, Wormtail,” James muttered angrily. With his foot he gave Peter a slight push, taking the rat by surprise. Peter-the-rat started to crawl toward the tree trunk; he pressed the knot with his tiny paw. The tree froze up.
He heard James and Sirius laughing in triumph. “Yeah, Peter!” | |

#25 Sorting hat
Peter was having a major freak-out. What if he sat on that stool for half an hour, and he was sent home?
“Orchids, Kendra.”
Peter nervously watched as Kendra Orchids was Sorted into Ravenclaw.
“Paterson, Russell.”
I’d rather get into Slytherin, Peter watched Russell proudly walk toward the Slytherin table.
“Pettigrew, Peter.”
Feeling like he would faint, Peter slowly sat down on the small stool.
He couldn’t even listen to whatever the old hat was saying into his ears. Sweating everywhere, his heart beat so hard as though he had run ten miles.
“GRYFFINDOR!”
Thank you, Merlin, Peter thought, relieved. |

#39 Duel
Peter ducked. He couldn’t believe his friends were attacking him. He had done nothing wrong!
“Stupefy!” James yelled. He missed.
“WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?” Peter bellowed, panting.
Sirius’s Stunning spell hit his stomach. Caught off guard, Peter felt as though someone had hit his head with a cauldron. He fell backward and dropped on the floor.
It was a second before he wondered why he was conscious.
“Relax, Wormtail,” said Sirius, laughing. He held up his wand, which didn’t look quite like a wand. “It’s a fake wand. You’re fine. We were just scaring you.”
Peter blinked in disbelief. | |

“Do it again, Wormtail!” James cried, grinning.
“Arghhhhh!” Peter roared; his face was screwed up and was turning red very fast.
“How come you never told us that you could do such a hilarious thing?!” Sirius laughed, clutching his stomach.
Even Remus snorted. “You’re talented, Peter… do it again.”
“Arghhhhhhhhh!”
More laughter. “Again!”
“ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!”
Peter’s face was now so scarlet his head looked like a tomato. He was panting, having concentrated so much on getting all the blood pumped into his face.
“Again!” Sirius shouted.
“ARGHHHHHHHHHH!”
Suddenly, as the Marauders continued laughing, someone knocked on the door. “SHUT UP, PETER!” | |

#76 Zap
Peter lay awake, breathing hard. Everyone was asleep, but the constant lightning and thunder outside was terrifying for him.
“Peter, you’re shaking,” he heard Sirius say groggily. “What’s up?”
“The weather,” Peter replied fearfully.
“The wea — you’ve got to be kidding me, Wormtail…”
“I feel it’s going to zap me.”
“I wouldn’t let that happen to you… I’d get zapped for you. Now go to sleep.”
But Peter wasn’t totally convinced. He squealed when a lightning flashed, and continued shivering. Suddenly there was a flash, then —
“ZAAAAAAP!”
“AHHHHHHH!”
Peter ran out of the room; Sirius roared in laughter. | |

Chloe, Sirius’s crush, jumped into Peter’s arms. “Oh, Peter! I love you!”
Peter gaped at her. “Ch-Chloe?!”
“I’ve always wanted to be with you… take me, please! KISS ME!”
As Peter leaned in, Sirius jumped in between them. “Time-out! What the hell is wrong with you, Chloe? How can you like Peter? What about me?”
Chloe smirked. “Truth is, I like you, Sirius, not Peter. I was just trying to make you jealous by using your friend here.”
Sirius blinked, grinned, and led Chloe away perhaps for a good snog. Peter stared after them, angry that he had been used. | |

“Look into it, Peter,” said James.
“I don’t know…”
“Do it, Wormtail,” smirked Sirius.
Peter leaned into the Pensieve, and he was falling. When he landed, he saw Dumbledore and a young man; he was pale, his cheeks were hollow, and he gave Peter shivers.
“Then we have nothing to say to each other.”
Shocked at how cold his voice was, Peter didn’t hear a thing Dumbledore said. Then he thought he saw the pale man’s hand twitch toward his wand.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed Peter’s arm, and he was yanked out.
“You idiot!” Sirius exclaimed. “That was a joke!” | |

#99 Newspaper
He scanned the newspaper for any juicy information about either the Dark Lord, or little Harry Potter.
Peter stared at the picture of Sirius Black in the newspaper. He was almost unable to recognize; his shiny hair was matted, and his eyes were hollow. And it was all Peter’s fault.
He started sniffing, but forced himself to stop. The Dark Lord would not be pleased to see him cry, especially about a friend who he’d betrayed.
“I don’t care,” he said to himself. “Black can go rot and die, for all I care.”
But the thing was, he did care. | |
