04. Blasting Curse
Cole Knight

Jumping over a barrel and hiding behind it, Cole remembered all the spells he had ever learned. Something had to work, right? Forcing himself to breathe, Cole turned to see where was his opponent exactly.

It was just a common welsh green but it was still a dragon and Cole was just a human with a stick. That's when he heard Rosa's voice over him: "It's alright, Cole. Just remember what I taught you" Cole looked up, hoping to see his mentor's face but all he saw were the fake clouds used to hide that fact that it was an arena he was running around in. Truth be told he wouldn't die, they wouldn't let that happen but his heart was still beating too fast.

Realizing it was just too quiet, Cole moved to steal a glance - only to be attacked by a ball of fire. Shielding himself poorly with his arm, Cole found himself shouting the blasting curse and then it was over.The dragon wailed and Cole passed out. When he came about Rosa was frowning at him and telling him how he had cursed the poor thing right in the eye.

Sadly, Cole had failed the test.

46. Twitchy Ears Hex
Tyrus Knight

Tyrus Knight enjoyed being a part of his large extended family despite the fact that every single one of them were dysfunctional - and especially the ones who claimed different. It was the annual family get together and he had been waiting for sometime now to watch the show begin. He told Sophia that he believed it would start within an hour, and she may even be the one starting it. She rolled her eyes and walked away while flipping him off. He grinned and continued watching. He watched his sister-in-law trying to be polite to Aunt Laney only to hear a remark about her newborn baby's twitchy ears. Tyrus wished his sister-in-law would have the guts to hex her in return. They were all a bunch wusses when it came to her, including him.

"Annette Gold Knight, if I hear you say that you will marry this mudblood one more time - so help me God - " His mother Andrea Knight suddenly gritted out loudly enough to gain the whole room's attention.

"- JUST SHUT UP, MOTHER! JUST SHUT UP!" Annette cried.

"Annette! Watch your mouth!" His father stepped in, taking a hold of his wife who had already reached for her wand.

31. Orchideous
Sabrina Knight

Sabrina's kids were now married. She needed a drink.

Picking up a glass of fire whiskey because nobody needed a scene on this beautiful sunny day of her son's wedding, Sabrina moved gracefully through the crowd - nodding along and smiling when someone congratulated her because this was also suppose to be a happy day. Reaching the end of the backyard of Kaitlynnh Mae - oh no no, Kaitlynnh Knight's grandma's house, Sabrina found a safe spot and downed the whole drink in one go.

Closing her eyes, Sabrina concentrated. She needed to be zen, she needed to look past this.

It wasn't working.

Breathe in, and breathe out. Maybe she could've one more drink and that would help. When she opened her eyes and turned, her eyes found orchids. It was unbelievable how she had not noticed this before. They weren't just orchids. They were her Donna's orchids. A smile pulled at the corner of her lips as she watched them gingerly bloom and move around as if they were swaying with the music playing. And something glitter like fell on them continuously - that was Garett. It was beautiful, and it was exactly what she needed to be get through this.

31. Lumos
Donna Mae (née Knight)

Julian stirred awake because he heard crying. He sat up instantly, whispering lumos and realizing that Donna was struggling again. She was having a nightmare. It hadn't happened in a while. Before he could contemplate why this was happening after all this time, he gently stroked her head. "Donna, Donna ... wake up" he called as gently as possible. He was ready though, he knew she would either wake up or end up getting more scared.

Donna bolted awake suddenly, crying out a 'no' and pushing away from Julian out of instinct. Julian calmly looked at her, carefully placing his hand on her knee. "Donna, love. it's okay. You are home, you were just having a nightmare" Donna stared at him for a couple of seconds like she wasn't sure who he was - and then she gradually relaxed. Julian, as per usual, turned to grab the glass of water on their bedside table. When he turned back to her, he noticed the tears and felt himself break. Offering her the glass, he scooted closer to her, wrapping her in his arms when she was done drinking.

"I thought they had stopped" He barely heard her say.

"Me too" Julian replied helplessly.
