50. Boggart

Olly took the stairs two at a time until he reached the bathroom. It was there that he heard a rattling coming from the cupboard under the sink. Perhaps it was not the best idea for an eight year old to investigate alone, but Olly did anyway. He wrenched open the door and there he found the dead body of Ellery.

Olly screamed and ran as fast as he could back to where he last saw her. His dad got rid of that boggart, but Olly still clung to his siblings even more than usual for the next few days.

25. Sorting Hat

Ellery, because of the E starting her name, went first, although that was the usual pattern anyway. Ellery would dive into anything, joined by Olly almost instantaneously, but almost nevertheless. And it was no different with the Sorting Hat - Ellery went first, was sorted into Gryffindor (a perfect match, she would later find), and so she waited patiently for Olly to join her.

But he didn't. No, the stupid hat lied and said he was Slytherin.

The STUPID hat. IT was completely wrong. Why would someone separate Olly and Ellery, who were joined at the hip, from each other?

98. Pajamas

Olly breathed in the buttery scent of the popcorn fresh out of the microwave. It was in a bowl that had just been handed to him by one of his dads. He was sitting on the floor in their living room, squished between Ellery and Colin so they could all take handfuls of the popcorn.

They were in their pajamas, cuddled under the comfiest blankets. The popcorn was cooked perfectly and the movie they were popping in was Olly’s favorite. He grinned at each of his siblings in turn and cuddled up to both of them as much as possible.

60. Joke

Ellery whizzed down the banister of her staircase, making her way rapidly to the living room, where she knew Olly and Colin were sitting playing cards. Once the banister had deposited her soundly, she slid a meter or two because of her fuzzy socks. Then she resumed her chase, sprinting through hallways and turning corners and bumping into a few things (but it was all okay, she survived) until she finally leapt into the room, gasping for breath.

"Want to hear a joke?"

"What?"

"I'd tell you a chemistry joke but I know I wouldn't get a reaction." Finger guns.

95. Snowball

It was really cold outside. Luckily, Olly was bundled up. So were his siblings next to him as they crouched behind the snow they had piled into a wall. Daddy Denis was inside, and Daddy Ainsley wasn’t home yet. But he would be soon, so triplets were lying in wait.

They heard the crunch of tires on snow and saw the car pull into their driveway. They stayed hidden. An unsuspecting dad got out of his car and before he could take more than a few steps, he was assaulted by three snowballs at once. Just a regular winter day.

32. Common Room

It was Ellery's first day at Hogwarts. She had just been sorted into Gryffindor, the right decision…but Olly was heading to the Slytherin common room, which was WRONG. She had tried to follow the Slytherins surreptitiously, but she was caught and directed to the Gryffindor common room instead.

It was nice and cozy, sure, and the energy was fun, but the thought of spending the next seven years here, without Olly, made her show signs of a full fledged panic attack coming through. She had to distract herself. She HAD TO DISTRACT HERSELF NOW.

"ANYONE WANT TO HAVE A DANCE-OFF??"
