Really, did Alexa want Alice to injure her pet? She clearly had no qualms about doing so, especially if the animal in question was going to keep shedding hair all over her pristine sheets. Why he traversed up to the seventh year dorms for his daily nap was a mystery to her, but being a certified neat freak, she wasn't tolerant of it.

"Felix is NOT a cat, he's a kneazle!" Lex gave the older girl a grumpy look, somewhat offended.

"If you don't move him now, all he's going to be is dead."

"I'm going to get the last batch of cookies out of the oven," Kurumi stated, eyeing the second year a bit worriedly. Alice had already cut down the number of treats she'd made by half, and Gryffindor's baking extraordinaire wasn't concerned so much about there being enough food for others as she was about the younger girl's stomach. Someone had a sweet tooth. "Don't eat any more, alright?"

She nodded obligingly, eyes full of innocent sincerity, but the rest of the sweets were gone when the Prefect returned.

"Alice! You said you wouldn't eat them!"

"I didn't eat, I inhaled."

Marcus Branxton gave very unconventional presents, like mouth guards, but Alice's return gift wasn't as unique. Despite that, she hoped he'd prefer it over tooth protection.

"Eyes closed, it's a surprise."

"I can't even... is it living? Bigger than a doxy? Did you make it? What'll you do if I peek?" Mo slit an eye, grinning.

"Not living. No size. Can't be made. If you peek, I'll wait until you stop before giving you anything."

And once he'd done so, Alice got to give away her first kiss- the best present in the world, if she did think so herself.

If Alice asked nicely, would Merlin tell her grandparents that the fountain monster had drowned her just because she hadn't dropped in a knut and that they should kick its-

"You okay?" The blonde pulling her out seemed worried.

Spluttering, the eleven year old nodded. "F-fine."

She wasn't convinced. "Emma Malfoy. Slytherin. Be careful, alright? Tentacles are dangerous."

"Please. I could handle those with a stick and some superglue." But her savior... a Slytherin? "The books say Slytherins don't have consciences."

"Say that around Hogwarts and you'll earn trouble."

"Well, I could handle a few Slytherins with just superglue."

Grinning toothily, the toddler waved the pair of licorice wands in her tiny fist at the elderly man whose lap on which she sat.

Abraham smiled in amusement. "You're a great witch in the making, I see."

Four year old Alice nodded vigorously. "I'll even have TWO wands, like these! One weal one and one g.... gwan... gawandw!"

"Gandr, dear."

"Tha's what I said!"

"Alice, wait! I'm not READY." Blue dunked the quill into her inkwell, then looked up at the older girl with innocent doe eyes, hand held readily above her sheet of parchment. "So. Tell me again, what are love germs?"

“When you like or love someone,” Alice warned in a matter-of-fact tone, “you can get INFECTED. By love germs. They can KILL you.”

When she'd finished taking notes on the life-or-death subject, Blue piped up. "Are Edric and Eve gonna get those?"

The Gryffindor only spoke after pausing dramatically, her expression grave.

"Forget their wedding. We should be planning their funeral."

"Tell me how to kiss again?" she asked, sprawled across the Quidditch Pitch, tossing a Quaffle into the air.

Selina lay beside her, struggling for words. Her Biter was too young for this. "You just... put your mouth on theirs. I can't really explain it."

Alice sighed in exasperation. "I should probably ask someone else, yeah? After all, you haven't snogged loads of boys. Just Gideon. And Dylan one time."

"Oi." The redhead jabbed her companion with her bat. "How many boys have you kissed? Oh, that's right. None."

The only response Selina received was a Quaffle to the head.

Carrying around an ocelot on her head wasn't easy. His little paws kept covering Alice's eyes, and she soon added to her list of klutzy accomplishments the act of tripping over a kid on the train corridor floor.

... why was a kid down there, though? This was clearly HIS fault.

"I'm really s-" he started to apologize, looking to the girl who'd joined him. But Tobias didn't even have time to recognize her before he gasped dramatically. "It's so beautiful..."

He was, of course, referring to the cat-type-creature, not the girl.

Their assignment in Ancient Runes was difficult today: transforming their Granian into a horse similar to Sigurd's Grani. Alice was glad she had a partner as adept as Nigel... even if she didn't need him. She needed no one.

"Let's name him Nightmare," she suggested with a wink. NightMARE. Geddit, Nigel? "You lead, since I probably canter ride as well as you."

Judging by his response, the Ravenclaw Prefect had caught on. "I can get pasture these obstacles, but we'll need runes on the saddle. Though they won’t be there furlong."

This was going to be a pun adventure, huh?

"Your baby is so boring," Alice told Dora solemnly.

"She's not born yet. When she is, I'm certain you'll have your hands full."

OBVIOUSLY she wasn't born yet, but Alice was positive that people like her had been interesting even inside a womb. "So... it doesn't kick...."

"That happens around 25 weeks," Dora explained patiently. She was always patient with her best friend, no matter how ridiculous she was.

"It doesn't roll over..."

"My kid isn't a dog."

"So all it does is increase your dress robe size?"

Patience gone. Alice got a pillow to the head for that one.
