#31: Dress Robes

It was by chance that he spotted her in Diagon Alley.
With his mother by his side, he was walking through the street.
That was when he saw her in Madame Malkin’s.
He managed a smile at the too big robes and her bare feet.

Lily waved out the window at Severus cheerily.
Something else soon caught her attention among the wardrobes.
Sure she was only a first year, but still…
Severus thought she looked beautiful in those blue dress robes.

#65: Ooze

Lily loved Potions class and everything about it.
The peacefulness she found in mixing ingredients,
Professor Slughorn, of course, was a doll,
But nothing beat her potions-making assistant.

Pausing every once in a while, she would glance at Severus.
He was crushing a sopophorous bean and jotting notes in his book.
Curious, that Potions book of his, Lily often thought.
One of these days, she decided, she would have to sneak a short look.

Severus always cursed this tedious class
Professor Binns and his lectures were such a bore.
No one in their right minds would enjoy this.
Severus was taking notes so he wouldn’t snore.

He wished he could be passing notes with Lily.
It would be easy enough not get caught.
She sat next to him, paying attention to Binns.
He decided it would be best to not.

#28: Timeturner

The sky was blue and the sun was shining.
The day was beautiful, and Severus felt the hate.
He wished for rains, storms, a tornado, anything.
As long as it would keep Lily from her date.

“I do wish my first kiss could be from a good friend.”
Lily had said it, but Severus proved to be a slow learner.
When he didn’t reply, she started leaving for Hogsmeade.
Now Severus desperately wished he had a Timeturner.
