Daichi stood infront of the mirror in his room. A muggle mp3 player in his ears as he danced and sang to the song

From the doorway, his older brother was grinning as he held a photocamera up to his eyes. There was a loud SNAP and light filled the room. Daichi turned around, his cheeks red as tomatoes.

50. Boggart
Standing in his room with an nervous feeling, Daichi looked at his closet which had started to shake violently. He wanted to call his father or brother but he didn’t want to be a scaredy cat.
Daichi reached out and opened the closet.
Flames erupted from the closet and Daichi fell backwards with a loud cry. His brother had heard him in the other room and rushed towards him. He looked at the fire and then at Daichi and swished his wand. “It’s alright, it was just a stupid boggart” he hugged his brother who had tears on his cheeks.

nine year old Daichi and Rylan ,his muggle friend , were walking through the forest nearby.
Daichi had stooped down to pick up a stick from the ground. He waved it like he had seen his brother and father done and shouted weird latin words even he didn’t know.
His friend looked at him both curious and anxious, “Uhm..what are you doing?” he asked.
“I want a wand to perform magic!” Rylan stared at him for a second before bursting out laughing. “Mental!” he laughed and marched further through the forest , not seeing the tiny smirk on Daichi’s lips.

Daichi jumped up from his thoughts. He blushed when students we're watching him as he stepped forward , Mr.Duckels against him.
He sat down on the stool and the sorting hat was placed on his head.
“Oh! I see someone with great loyalty, ambition and mind i say cunning too.”Daichi bit his lip, he really wanted to be in Slytherin.
“Hufflepuff!”
Daichi wanted to jump off the chair when the hat whispered hufflepuff.
“Come back, i’m kidding, can’t a old hat fool around every once in a while?” Daichi rolled his eyes from under the hat.

7. Care of Magical Creatures
Care of Magical Creatures wasn’t Daichi’s favorite subject.
He was horrible at it. He didn’t know how to take care of these, things?
When the Professor announced they had to pair up , Daichi looked around as everyone found partners and pouted when he had none.
“Uh..Professor? can..can i take care of Mr.Duckels?” he asked.
The Professor looked puzzled , probably wondering what a Mr.Duckels was.
“I promise to take good care of him!” Daichi tried again hopefully.
The Professor saw the duck and sighed deeply. “No, Katharos, find a partner and a REAL creature, and get back to work!”

“Do you think this looks good on me?” Daichi asked as he looked at his reflection in a mirror.
“Honestly, I don’t care ” His older brother said, trying to pretend that he wasn’t with the other male when a group of girls walked past.
Daichi turned around , happy with the pajama he had picked. “Alright, I’m buying it!” Aedan’s head snapped from the girls to his brother .“You aren’t serious?!”
“I am!” and he walked to the counter with his newly brought ducky’s printed pajama.
Aedan looked at him in shock and disbelieve. “But, you’re 24….” He muttered.

Eight year old Daichi Katharos stood in-between his father and older brother. “one year already” his father mumbled and smiled softly as he wiped away the tears from his sons puffy cheeks. Daichi's brown eyes were red from crying.
He crouched down in front of his mother’s tombstone and placed a small daisy flower in front of it. “I miss you, mom” he cried and hugged the stone with his short arms. His father ruffled the young boy’s pitch black hair and as they walked away his older brother Aedan grabbed his hand before they walked out of the graveyard.

Sitting under the small tree in the orchard, Daichi shyly covered his hand over Indiana’s. He then looked at her and saw a fallen leaf in her blonde hair. His free hand went up as he switched his body and tried to pick the leaf off of her hair. He accidentally slipped forward, falling against her. His face was close to hers and as if an invisible hand pushed the back of his neck he dived in for a soft kiss on the lips. Realizing what he was doing he quickly leaned back with an embarrassing blush on his cheeks.

“Tell me your secret boy! Or your duck goes to an orphanage!” his Quidditch Captain, Lola said as she held his plushy high up in the air. First year Daichi jumped up and down to try and get it back.
“I don’t know…” the kid said as he pouted. “Nonsense! You said the trees name is Whomping Willow so that means you TALK with it and it TALKS back” Daichi sighed loudly and blinked when the older Slytherin suddenly bowed down in front of his shoes. “Teach me how to talk to treeees!” He could do nothing more than stare.

His father knocked on the door and rattled the door knob. Locked. “Come on son. You’ve been locked up in here for a few days now, go get some fresh air. And that’s an order!”
“Yes sir…” Daichi sighed. He held his ex-girlfriends leather bracelet in his hand as he twirled it around. Not getting up like he was being told, he instead rolled on to his side and grabbed his plush duck, pressing it against his stomach. “You’ll never leave me right?” he asked with an sad expression.

With his Slytherin Prefect badge pinned to his uniform, Daichi was busy making his rounds in the evening. It was summer and the sun slowly set down in the west. He passed a window and looked outside to see the Quidditch field in the distance.
Suddenly, the torch next to him lit up and the Slytherin jumped in fright. His eyes widened as he remembered his past and his heartbeat raced again. He took a step backwards and looked around.
No one had seen that right?
Taking a deep breath, the Slytherin Prefect walked away as fast as he could.

“Hey! You’re not supposed to be there!” Daichi called to the younger Gryffindor as he saw her walking to the edge of the forbidden forest. He picked up his pace to catch up with her. Standing next to her, the Slytherin peered in to the forest and immediately saw a horse nearby.
“…what’s that?” he asked. The Gryffindor looked around. “What’s what?” she asked. “That! That creature…it looks like the one that is dragging the carriages” The girl looked at him “You’re weird” she said and walked away from him.
Daichi continued to stare at the Thestral still in view.

His father nodded as he sat down next to the bed. He felt helpless right now. He took hold of Daichi’s little hand and…
Daichi woke up with a startle in the boys dormitory, sweating and breathing heavily. Tears were forming in his eyes as he lay back down, hugging his duck plushy. He hated dreams about the past.

“Why do you think he’s so over protective?” Daichi knew exactly why his father behaved like this “I don’t want to talk about it” he answered snappish.
“I think you do” The psychiatrist said. “No i don’t!” he sprung up from the chaise longue and walked to the window. The man looked at him before scribbling down some more notes.

It was evening when twelve year old Daichi Katharos was sitting on his bed in the boys dormitory. The first Hogsmeade weekend was opening the very next day. The young Slytherin looked at his friend who had come down to the second year sleeping area to chat.
“When we get to Hogsmeade tomorrow, i’ll try and set you up on a date” Jonathan Kim said, a playful grin was visible on his face. “WHAT?!” Daichi shouted , feeling his cheeks blushing. “Don’t do that, girls are weird and yucky and ewww”
Why couldn’t older boys see that girls were …eww?

Daichi had his fists balled and he was clenching his teeth so that his usually full lips were a thin line. He was glaring at the Quidditch Captain from across the table in the Prefect Lounge.
They were supposed to be talking ideas for the Prefect event but Daichi didn’t care about it. His eyes were set on Dylan and he rolled his eyes when he suggested something. The Prefect mimicked him like an annoying child and glared back when the other male did as well.
He couldn’t wait for their duel so he could throw him across the room!

Having used the Malin Calin charm on a duck, the creature stood beside him as it quacked loudly.
“Mr.Duckworth” Headmaster Tate began as he looked down at the duck. “M-My name is Daichi Katharos,sir” The thirteen year old corrected but the man waved his hand. “Tell me why you’re here” Daichi told him how they had to praise the seminar professor as part of the homework.
When he was done, the Slytherin turned around to leave only to be stopped. “nice spell work, Duckworth” Daichi beamed at the Headmaster as he had just given him his first compliment ever.

Daichi Katharos ran towards his mother who was standing in the kitchen. “What is it honey?” she asked and placed down the knife while looking at her five year old son. Daichi’s chocolate brown eyes were tearing up.
“Aedan! He …!” He began but the door to the kitchen slammed open. “Don’t listen to him mother, HE started it!”
Both boys began to fight again, each of them telling the other started.
“ENOUGH!”
“Aedan punched my arm mommy!” Daichi said. “That’s because YOU tugged on my hair!”
“I said that’s enough! Both of you go to your rooms!”

Daichi shouted the incantation while he pointed his wand “It’s Patronum , idiot. Not Patronus” his older brother said as he rolled his eyes. Aedan had agreed to teach his little brother the Patronus charm.
“I’m sorry...” the twenty year old mumbled. “I don’t think i can do it” Aedan felt bad for his brother. “Just think happy thoughts”
“Okay…” he tried to think of anything that made him happy and shouted the incantation again. A thin line of silvery mist appeared and the ex-Slytherin beamed with joy.

“Really, i don’t get why students that aren’t pureblood are here” Sonea said as she handed over the pink nail polish to Daichi. “Muggleborns, Halfbloods, they don’t belong here am I right?!” She flashed the Prefect a look and Daichi frowned.
"I’m a half…” he began but stopped himself by faking a cough. It was no point,. He knew people with personalities like hers were very stubborn and hard to let them believe otherwise. So why bother right?
So, instead of saying he’s a halfblood, the Slytherin focused on doing her nails because she had asked him to help her.

The world was a blur around him as Daichi’s eyes followed the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Her blonde hair seemed to shine brightly and her skin seemed to glow like an angel. Not realizing his mouth was hanging open, the Slytherin turned his head to follow the Ravenclaw as she walked up the staircase, not even noticing his love-struck face.
When she was out of sight, the world seemed to go back to normal and he finally heard the sounds around him again. Blinking confusedly, the Slytherin looked around and sighed.
Indiana was a Veela to him.

27 Owl
Daichi Katharos stood in front of the owl cage in Magical Menagerie. “You really do not want that owl” someone said which made Daichi frown. “Why not?” he asked as he looked at the owl in the cage as it began to flap its wings wildly.
“That’s why, no one ever bought him and when they did they returned the creature the same week"
The longer he listened to the person, the more sad Daichi felt for the owl. “I’ll take the owl and we will be best friends!” he heard a sigh and then followed the person to pay.
