Mini-Challenge #6 - New Beginnings
Orabelle approached the sorting hat. She hoped that thing was clean. But if that hat was dirty… she tried not to think about it. She still couldn’t believe this hat was going to be the start of her future here.
“Alright, you out of style hat, do your thing,” she muttered to herself. Because it was… old and pointy and stuff like that.
Orabelle ignored the muttering of the hat then she heard it bellow out…
“SLYTHERIN!”

22. Kneazle VS Pony
Pre-Hogwarts & Beauxbatons ; Year 2067
Orabelle stared at the kneazle on her bed. “Daddy… how did that thing get in my room?” Orabelle demanded to know. She did not shift her gaze from the kneazle.
“It’s your birthday present from your mother and me,” Orabelle’s father said proudly.
Orabelle turned and frowned. “But I said I wanted another pony for my birthday! Not a kneazle!”
Her father smiled nervously at his child’s obvious discontent. “We couldn’t find the perfect pony, sweetie.”
Orabelle pouted, glaring at the kneazle. “I don’t want a kneazle! I want a pony!”
Oh yeah, seven year old Orabelle was pretty spoiled.

Orabelle was lounging around in her cousin’s flat, watching her two other cousins read words out of the dictionary.
“So, that’s what the word means,” Selena exclaimed with awe.
Orabelle rolled her eyes. “How many words did you figure out the meaning to?” she asked. Because really, this had been going on for hours.
“One,” Selena said, still flipping through the pages of the dictionary.
“Do you even know what you’re reading?” Orabelle asked.
“The dictionary,” Selena said, with huge amounts of duh.
“No, you’re reading the ‘Book of Words That Selena Zabini-Riddle Doesn’t Know,” Orabelle corrected with a smirk.

“Mama? Papa? Did you read the paper?” Orabelle asked as she sat by the fireplace, talking to her parents.
“Yes, sweetie, we did,” her father replied, shuffling around for the newspaper.
“So you know, Hogwarts has a mysterious ship, right?” Orabelle asked, hoping they would demand for her return home.
It was silent on the other end, even minutes later.
“Papa, you didn’t read the newspaper yet, did you?” Orabelle asked, frowning. “PAPA?!” Orabelle demanded.
“Sorry, love, I seem to have misplaced it,” he said.
“It’s in the rubbish bin!” Orabelle’s mother called out and Orabelle saw her father cringe.

“You know you want it,” Selena taunted, waving the chocolate rabbit in Orabelle’s face.
And Orabelle did want a piece of that chocolate. But she was not going to give her cousin the satisfaction of it. “No. I don’t. Now leave me alone.”
Selena sighed. “Fine, I’ll leave it right here, in plain sight, on the table, while I step out for a moment.” With that, she left.
Orabelle glanced at the door and broke off a piece, popping it in her mouth.
“HAH! You took a piece!” Selena exclaimed, bursting in.
Orabelle just groaned. Her cousin was a menace.

Mini-Challenge #7 - Halloween ; Halloween of 2073
Why was she brining Serene trick-or-treating again? Oh right, because she was determined to find a way to stay in France.
“Alright, Serene, just go to that door knock on it and do that to every single house,” Orabelle said as she nudged her cousin.
“But sissy said -,” Serene said, opening her mouth.
Orabelle groaned. “Well, just go, I’ll watch you, from here, and I’ll see you in like… ten minutes.”
Serene’s eyes started watering up and she started crying, attracting the attention of the muggles. Orabelle groaned again. Merlin! The muggles were tsking around her. Stupid muggles. Ugh.

Orabelle was busy trying to paint her big toe when she heard an annoying times ten hissing sound.
“Fake Riddle, stop it, I’m busy!” Orabelle groaned.
The violet eyed girl wouldn’t. Orabelle screwed the cap on her nail polish and threw it at her cousin.
“OW!” Selena exclaimed, rubbing her sore arm.
“Leave me alone!” Orabelle said.
“HISSSSS.”
“Stop it!” Orabelle groaned.
“I’m sorry you don’t understand parseltongue.”
“What does this mean?” Orabelle said as she hissed at her cousin.
“Selena is awesome,” Selena said.
“NO. It means, speak English!” Orabelle said, glaring at her cousin.
“You stink at parseltongue.”

48. Leprechaun Costumes
Saint Patrick's Day, 2067
“Oh, honey, doesn’t she just look darling?” Isobella Bellamonte gushed as she fawned over her seven year old daughter.
Orabelle folded her arms across her chest, sulking as she glared at her mother and father.
“She’s adorable,” her father agreed.
“Her little hat is just so cute,” Isobella continued with a smile.
“I don’t want to be a bloody leprechaun, I look hideous and I hate green!!!” Orabelle said, stomping her black loafer clad foot and throwing the ‘cute’ hat on the ground.
Her parents sighed. Orabelle wearing the leprechaun costume for ten minutes had been a little miracle itself.

Orabelle sat down on the lovely grounds of Beauxbatons with her friends as they giggled at poorly dressed people.
“Ew, look at her nails,” someone whispered to Belle. She looked at the girl’s nails and winced. Neon green with pink? Who would do that?
“Watch out!” the girl said, zooming by in heels on her skateboard with her hideous nails.
Orabelle sneezed.
“Bless you,” the girl said as she zoomed around.
“Can you like, get lost Sinclair?” Orabelle asked, waving the girl away.
“Why?” Macy asked.
“I’m allergic to losers,” Orabelle said smirking and exchanging high fives with her friends.

Orabelle was ready for her first day of Beauxbatons. She tightened the bow in her hair and smiled. As she approached the grounds, she knew she was destined for greatness.
Orabelle approached a blonde girl with a smile. “You look somewhat pretty, you can walk behind me,” she told the girl.
“I’ll pass, I’ll just walk next to you,” the blonde said, shrugging.
Orabelle’s eyes went wide and she gaped. “What?! No, no one gets to walk next to me,” Orabelle said, glaring at the girl.
“Well, I do,” the blonde said with a smirk.
“I’m Orabelle Bellamonte.”
“Danielle Dubois.”

The professor spread out his arms, concluding the speech and before she knew it, platters of steaming hot foods and beautiful pastries appeared upon the table.
“Danielle…” Orabelle whispered as she looked at the feast before her.
“Yes, ‘Belle?” Danielle asked as she cut up the chicken on her plate.
“I think they’re trying to make us all huge,” she said with a pout looking at all the courses before them, and of course, the tiers of pastries.
Danielle giggled and shook her head. “No, it’s just one feast,” she said.
“Exactly! And it could ruin my life,” Orabelle exclaimed.

16. Praticality

Orabelle was mad, yup, she most definitely was. Her hands… they were tainted with ugliness!
“Why dragon hide?” Orabelle demanded to know from Danielle. “I mean like, leather works fine,” she pointed out.
“But doesn’t dragon hide protect you from more things in potions and herbology?” Dani asked the brunette.
“But they’re not pretty!” said the twelve year old.
Dani looked at the gloves her friend was waving around then shrugged. “Well, they’re practical.”
“So are sneakers but you don’t see me wearing those everyday,” Orabelle pointed out as she looked at her peep-toe heels and her purple colored nails.

Beauxbatons 2073 ; Charms Class
Orabelle was in Charms class and while everyone was flicking their wands trying to get their quill to float, Orabelle was scribbling away at her paper. Apparently someone wasn’t pleased with it. She turned and saw the professor for a moment, placed her quill down and picked up her wand, pretending to do the work.
Meanwhile her paper floated to a curious Sinclair.
Things I like: shopping, gossiping, talking, my cell phone, making fun of Sinclair…
“WHAT?!” Sinclair let out a gasp, glaring at Orabelle.
Orabelle turned and smirked. “Pay attention in class Sinclair, maybe you’d finally get some charm.”

Orabelle had a bright smile as her Louis Vuitton swung back and forth on her arm. She beamed as she saw her friend, Danielle.
“You certainly look cheerful, what’s the occasion?” Dani asked curiously.
Orabelle smirked. “Well, considering the fact I basically just got Michelle expelled, I think I’ve the right to be cheerful.”
“Mm… Belle, I don’t think she’s been expelled,” Dani muttered to Belle.
Just as Dani said that Orabelle saw Michelle crying and the headmistress giving her a hug. Belle’s jaw dropped.
“I have some planning to do!” Orabelle growled. Her cheerful mood had just been ruined.
