100 Adventures of Elise Warbury - SA13+ Hello, and welcome to the many adventures of my ickle firstie, Elise Warbury! It’s been a while since I’ve written drabbles, so bear with me. :jamming: Before everything gets going, I must state that I do not own the Wizarding World. This honor belongs to Ms. J.K. Rowling alone. I’ll be using the original SS100 prompts. SPOILER!!: Prompts Sorting Hat Elise Warbury had long known about the Hogwarts Sorting, but was still not prepared for the rush of panic that shot through her body when her turn came to encounter the Hat herself. She somehow managed to keep her wits about her as she sat down on the stool and felt the Hat being placed on her head. Okay, Hat. What’s it going to be? Elise thought, trying hard not to fidget as she heard a small voice whispering in her ear. It doesn’t matter where you put me. I just want a House I can truly call my own. |
Potions Potions was definitely not Elise’s thing. Not only was she having difficulty measuring out the ingredients for that day’s assignment, but she could not remember in which order she was supposed to put said ingredients in the cauldron. Looking around, she noted with some embarrassment that she appeared to be the only one having trouble. She noticed the professor looking at her just then and quickly looked down, pretending she knew what she was doing as she carefully measured out some beetle eyes. Please don’t come over here! she thought. Just stay there and let me be ashamed in peace. |
Homework It was one thing to receive homework while school was in session. It was, however, an entirely different thing to receive homework in nearly every class on the first day of school. Elisa looked at her list—Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology…she had assignments due for all of those subjects, and she hadn’t finished one day at Hogwarts yet. Grumbling angrily, she sat at a table in the library and pulled out her Potions book to see what the assignment would entail. It wouldn’t be a pleasant one—a two-foot composition on the properties of moonstone. Elisa sighed. This would take all night. |
Common Room At her first glance of the Ravenclaw common room, Elise immediately forgot about the minor nuisance of having to solve a riddle in order to get in. The spacious, airy room was filled with blue and gold, from the soft sofas to the plush carpeting…even to the beautiful marble Wizard’s Chess set situated a few feet from where they stood. I can definitely get used to this, Elise thought, very much impressed and eager to look out of the window. She shuffled her feet restlessly, silently wishing that the prefect would finish the tour already and just leave them be. |
