“Minerva what’s wrong?”

“They hate me, all the kids at school. They laugh at me and call me different.” She was different, things always happened around her and she didn’t do them, though people blamed her. They didn’t like that she was smarter that’s all she could think of, but she didn’t try to be smarter, she even stopped answering in class, but yet they teased.

“Oh honey, it’s alright, you are different. You are special.”

“You always say that, but I’m not different. They hate me.”

“You are special Minerva Lynn. You learn one day why you are different.”

88. Sweet Tooth
age 10

“Min give me more.”

“Shhhh Jacky you are going to get us in trouble.”

“I want more candy, please. You have the Reese Cups under your bed, I’m going to tell mom.”

“No, you aren’t or I’m not sharing anymore with you.” She pulled the small bag out from under her bed. Her mom would flip if she knew they were eating them this early in the morning, but she loved Reese Cups or well anything chocolate really, but these were her favorite. “Here you can have one more, but no telling mom.”

“I knew you wouldn’t tell me no.”

44. Ford Anglia
age 10

Her eyes were wide as they walked the street. “I like this one daddy.” She pointed at a shiny yellow one.

“Those are foreign shouldn’t even be here.”

She laughed and kept walking taking his hand. Martin Wheatborn loved his car shows and since he was home from being overseas she was going to do whatever he wanted. Her time with her father was always in spurts, because of his job with the military and the time she was with him was the best.

“Now look at this one Minerva, not fancy but a classic. “

“Sure dad, Fords lovely.”

15. Room
age 11

Running to her room she slammed her door and hit her pillow. Things were changing and way too quickly. Her mother’s words in her ear.

“You’re a witch Minerva and now you will be going to the same school I did.”

She was a witch? Her mother was a witch? How could this be? Why hadn’t she said anything before? Why did she keep it? Now they were shipping her off to some school not even in America and they were moving too.

“Your father got stationed in Germany, we are all leaving for new adventures.”

She didn’t like it.

83. Fearful
age 11
To Harvey Watson, Minerva's first Hogwarts Friend

She was pretty much a muggle on a train with wizards. What was she doing? She couldn’t be a good witch. She knew nothing. Minerva walked the train fearful, not knowing anyone. Finally finding the food trolley she looked at the items. Chocolate Frogs, where they real frogs? Cauldron cakes? What were these foods.

"Hi... I..I..I'm Harvey, F..first year at Hogwarts. W...what's your name?"

"Hi Harvey, my name is Minerva”

He was a first year too and he seemed as fearful as she felt. Was this how all students felt at first. Did that mean she was normal not weird?

25. Sorting Hat
Age 11

What was a Sorting Hat? Why was she going to have to put it on? Did she really have to go in front of all these people? Minerva looked very scared around the huge Great Hall. It was beautiful and nothing like she had ever seen before. She felt anger at that moment, anger for her mother for never telling her about this world. Protecting or not, she should have known more coming into here. Now sat with a hat on her head waiting for it to speak.

What was it saying, where was she going?
“You go to Hufflepuff”

3. Transfiguration
Age 12
Dedicated to our fun loving Toddles and one of Minerva's favorites Professor Magnus

What was she going to do? She wanted to practice something. All these spells, all this newness to being a witch and she was good at it. She was good with her wand. Minerva had been full of excitement through the term. Her two favorite subjects Transfiguration and Charms. So finding herself in the transfiguration practice room wasn’t all that surprising. She wanted to do more learn more.

WHAT WAS THAT?

Her eyes darted around, things were moving, ink was being spilled, boxes were tumbling. “Who are you? Show yourself.” Then it was quiet.

“Professor Mangus come quick, in here."

Her heart raced every time he touched her hand. She blushed as he complimented her. She didn’t deserve the compliment, she wasn’t that pretty, but she liked hearing it from him. Sitting closer she enjoyed his company and forgot about anything else around her.

Blue eyes snapped as she heard someone else and saw Maxwell’s best friend come closer. Why was her wand up? Before Minerva could react she was upside down.

“Put me down Ariana”

Landing on her head she sat up and kept her wand on Ariana as she rubbed her head. This girl was crazy nuts, goodness.

18. Whomping Willow
Age 13

Why couldn’t she have been in that plane with her family? This was not where she wanted to be, she had no one. She was alone all alone. They were gone, gone, she was being told she’d have to live with people she didn’t know. No, she wouldn’t do it.

BOOM

What was? She noticed the tree slamming around her. “YOU WANT TO HIT ME, GO FOR IT.

BOOM

She yelled, but jumped away just as it came close. “MISSED” She smirked, that was fun, she felt a rush, jumping again she just found a way to deal with pain.

89. Past
Age 13

“No Minerva don’t touch the stove it’s hot. Let me put the Christmas cookies in."
The stove was so warm and her mothers smile so happy. She loved to be in the kitchen with her. Sneaking some more cookie dough she laughed as her mom shook her head and put some on her nose.

Tears streamed down her face as she stood in the empty kitchen.

“What are you doing your worthless child. Are you crying over that pathetic mother of yours again? You can’t bring her back so get out of the past.“

She glared at Leelee, despising her.

50. Boggart
Age 16

She took a deep breath. She knew she had to do it and she also knew what it would be. Stepping into the room she looked around. Seeing the thing form into the most horrid face she could think of. He moved closer, she stepped back. Her body shaking in fear. “Get away from me.” The face just smiled slowly coming towards her. His grin as sinister as she could remember. Tears were starting she couldn’t do it, her mind had shut off.

NO.. She could and would do it. “Riddikulus”

The boggart changed and she smiled and hurried away.

7. Care of Magical Creatures
Age 14

What a class!! She was all smiles walking back to the castle. She didn’t even care stupid Peeves dumped worms all over them. Oh she hoped he would take care of the ones he put in his robes for the plants. Coming back to Hogwarts was looking up! The blasted ended whatevers were even kind of cute, but not as cute as him. Her cheeks blushed just thinking about the new boy. Though it didn’t matter, he was a Ravenclaw and probably didn’t even look twice at her. His green eyes still in her head as she walked away slowly.

23. Telescope
Age 12

She looked through the telescope and jotted down what she saw. The stars were out bright and it was perfect to get this homework done. Hearing footsteps she smiled seeing her best friend. "Hey Harvs" Was he up here for homework too? Turning her eyes back to the telescope she heard more footsteps. Looking up again she saw Professor Scabiors and her smile dropped. He was accusing her of being on a date, but she was doing homework! Her eyes started to fill with tears as he wouldn't listen and took points. She didn't lose points, how could this happen.

84. Angry
Age 13

She had been used, he used her to get to her friend. She felt stupid, how could she have liked him. Now she was sitting with Maxwell not sure what to say. Damon and Taylor used them both, it was ridiculous and she was mad. Damon was the first boy she liked and he used that to get to Taylor. This was not how she wanted to start term. She knew Maxwell was hurting too and that just made her angrier.

"Ahhhhh" She screamed in frustration and hit the wall. She felt the pain in her hand, but didn't care.

38. Patronus

She loved the butterfly garden, it was her favorite place. The butterflies reminded her of her mother, but today there were none. She knew the school was broke, but why the butterflies. She sat with her head rested on Ethan's shoulder looking at the empty garden. She smiled as little conjured butterflies started to flutter around. "I want to show you something." She lifted her head and watched as a silvery badger floated around. Her eyes blinked in amazement. His patronous was a badger, she was a badger. She smiled towards him. The love she felt for him growing stronger.

81. Depression

She didn't want to go to class, she didn't want to get out of bed. Her family was gone, she had no one. Her friends didn't understand. Many didn't have a clue what she had been through. Taking a potion just to be able to be in classroom, hiding in the common room and in her dorm when she didn't have to be out. The healer said depression was normal after a tragic experience, well if that was what this was Minerva hated it. She hated everyone for feeling so much pain. Pulling the covers over her head she hid.

2. Muggle Studies
Age 14
Dedicated to Pixie and Kurumi

They were learning about super heroes? Why? This was not one of her favorite subjects. She tried to remember what figures Jacob had in the house. Her mind went back to her house, her family, but quickly moved back when she had to take a quiz to figure out which villain she was. Getting up she looked around and found her group. Looking to Kurumi as she said she could change her hair to look like everyones, Minerva was so jealous of this. She loved to change her hair and thought that was so cool. Kurumi's gift was so cool.

12. Charms
age 12

What if it didn't work? What if she wasn't taking care of it right? Minerva charmed it to warm the egg it felt too cold, but what if she was heating it too much. She didn't want to fail, no she had to do this right. "You'll be alright." She held the egg and felt it move. Watching was it hatching? Was it happening? She was so excited, could it really be happening. The egg cracked and then cracked more. Moving out was a charmed badger. "Sparkles" This was the coolest thing and she just found her good luck charm.

13. Quidditch
age 16

Riding this broom was fun! She looked around as the quaffle came towards her. “SOFT KITTY WARM KITTY.” Not sure why but Minerva just felt like it was a good idea to sing. Ooooh and there was another ball again. Watching like a cat watches a light she followed the quaffle towards the Ravenclaw Keeper, “That’s my boyfriend!!! HOT KEEPER BOY!”

She wanted to cheer and eat ice cream! It was so great how good the ice cream was, but E didn’t like it. Not paying attention she felt the bludger slam into her head and then everything go black.

99. Trunk
Age 16

Nope, nope she couldn’t deal with this now. She had gotten passed all of this and now, now Justin was back and he was telling her things that she didn’t want to hear. She had moved past all of that she was happy, why was he back? WHERE WAS IT!! She opened her trunk to find her what always calmed her, she needed it now.

Ethan would be wondering what was taking her so long, she had to hurry up. Had someone taken it out of her trunk? No there it was, pulling it out of her trunk she sighed.

1. Herbology
Age 14 Dedicated to Bentley/Hera

She was back at Hogwarts, sweet Merlin she was so happy to be back. When Leelee forced her to her grandparents and didn’t even tell them about her, she thought she’d never see this place again. She was okay living muggle if it was her choice, she did it before, but she didn’t want to. She wanted her friends, she wanted her professors, and she wanted her wand. Thankfully her grandparents listened and believed her allowing her back.

Walking into the Herbology she grinned until she heard Professor Bentley’s words. “Late, points loss” She lost points, great.

5. Astronomy
Age 12 Dedicated to Scabiors and Dani

It was a clear night so it was a perfect night to do her Astronomy homework. Up in the observatory Minerva worked until she heard someone coming. “Hi Harvey” smiling at her friend. They talked and worked until another set of footsteps made her look up again. Seeing Professor Scabior she gave a smile, the man didn’t seem to like her, but she tried to not think too much into it, but soon she was blinking at him.

“This isn’t a date.”

Why wasn’t he listening to her? Why would she date Harvey? Points taken away she ran way crying.

6. Divination
Age 16 Dedicated to Elwood/Chris

They were looking at portraits today so they could be able to be told what? She looked around the room and then tried to listen. She liked Divination, but sometimes it was hard to follow. Plus she was a bit distracted when Professor Elwood said they’d be looking at eyes to predict things she couldn’t help but think about looking into her favorite green eyes. She knew those eyes well, she loved to look at them. They were perfect and she could always just get lost in them.

Oh, wait, Divination.

Turning back to the Portraits she tried to focus.

29. Pensieve
Age 17

She sat in her room at St. Mungos, she had been in therapy for a few weeks now and it was the same routine. She didn’t want to do it anymore, but knew it was the only way. She had to get past her past and the things that kept keeping the nightmares around. She could do this, she knew she had to do this. She sat thinking about going to Ethan’s parents telling them all about the term, the ice cream, the detention. She’d tell them all again if she didn’t have to face another memory in that pensieve.

91. Future
Age 18

It was such a pretty day, a sweet day. The garden looked beautiful, everything looked beautiful. How was it possible that today was her day, today was the first day of the rest of her life. She looked at Ariana and smiled before the tears started to fall, she wanted her Mom and Dad there, she wanted her Dad taking her down, but he wasn’t. She turned and took her grandfather’s arm, looking at the small group that attended she smiled. Seeing Ethan she cried, he was so handsome. She headed down the aisle, down to marry Ethan, her future.
