Cove smiled at Dani. "You somehow always know what I want you to say." She said. "Probably something with music. I get that way, too when I'm setting up for concerts. I even get to the point where when I'm composing, I lock myself in the music room and don't come out for hours. We put a mini fridge in there for those reasons." Cove said smiling. "Of course. Dan, Connor and this new guy can some as well. So what's his name?"

The fourteen year old was very engrossed in his book, when the sound of someone's voice pulled him back to Earth. He smiled at his fellow Gryffindor, to whom he'd never really spoken to before. "Tell me about it. I'm not really one for big crowds of screaming children. As fun as it, I'd much prefer to stay up here."

He set his book down, studying the boy further. It hadn't really ever occurred to him to talk to any other Gryffindors in his dorm; he was far too shy. He wasn't even sure if he knew this guy's name. Now that he was a bit more outgoing, he figured he branch out and make a new friend, or acquaintance. But it would most likely be the latter.

"I'm Christopher, by the way. I know we've been going to school together for the past three years, but I don't think we've ever actually met. It's nice to meet you, mate," he said, reaching across the table to shake the other kid's hand. Wasn't it.... Gilbert? Greggory? Something like that.

Vashti moved up to the rest area, ready to get away from the crowded carnival for a few minutes. It was fun, of course, and she'd be riding some more rides later, but for now she just wanted to sit and relax. She also wanted something to eat, but she wasn't going back to the food and refreshments area in case he was still there. So she quietly plopped herself down in a chair at an empty table, rested her elbow on the table, and set her chin in her hand, just watching people for now.

Amethyst looked up from Onyx and saw a pretty red haired girl. She blushed deeply as she took her hand, shaking it. "N-Nice to meet you, Evangeline..I-I'm Amethyst..." She looked down and at the traveling cage and smiled. "I honestly had to chose between an owl and a cat, but once I walked into the store, my eyes went direct to her, and we bonded instantly..but, kittens are adorable, and can be loyal if you treat them right..." She smiled softly nodded, as Onyx moved her hair from her face, just like she did the day they met.

Gideon listened to the boy as he responded to his comment acknowledging that he had heard him. "Me neither..." he admitted. "Thankfully my sister's not too bad but even she can get too much after a while," he added with a chuckle. Now that the book was down he could confirmed that his companion was who he thought he was, a fellow Gryffindor fourth year that he tended to only see in passing. Kacie would certainly shake his head that he could be so anti-social at times but he had toned down his over-excitedness as he grew up, mixing it with a bit of his adopted brother's quietness and hadn't yet found a happy medium.

"Gideon," he supplied in return, accepting the offered hand and giving it a shake as he sat down. "Nice to meet you as well. Better late then never eh?"he added trying to find some amusement in it all so it didn't feel so odd that they had shared a dorm for 3 years and not known too much about each other. But then the other biy hadn't made much effort before now either.

Nodding, he agreed. "I know what you mean. My sister, she's pretty.... strange," he said, trying to come up with the right word to explain Elyon. It was a rather tough task. That girl was always talking about Crumple-Horned Snorcacks and Blibbering Humdingers and what not. She was definitely out there.

He chuckled at Gideon's remark, feeling a little embarassed that he'd never even attempted to make contact with him. "Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I'm trying to be a little more social, but I haven't exactly made it there yet," Christopher said, the teeniest bit red in the face. It was rather odd that they had such a late start. Hopefully they'd be able to make up for that over the years to come.

"So Gideon," the Gryffindor continued, trying to make things much less awkward than they needed to be, "tell me a bit about yourself. I feel like we've got a lot of.... er, catching up, too do, if that's what you'd call it."

Dani listened to what Cove said and smiled- "Yeah, that's what I think" she smirked a little before nodding at what she said next. "Oh yeah, that would be so awesome! His name is Philip" she said softly, still somehow for some reason getting over Colton's big 'oh, I have a girlfriend, and yes, she's my fiancee' thing. That had hit her hard. Mayve it was because she really had thought of him as more of a friend all along and was worried this girl wouldn't be good enough. She soon snapped out of it and smiled at Cove- "So... excited about going back to school?" she smirked, Dani actually... was in a way, because then it would mean it would be closer to finishing school.

Mordred grinned. "I'm just trying to be nice..." he trailed off to look at the crying girl. "She's a first year, anyway. She's in for more ups and downs in school." he shrugged. As soon as their feet touched the street of Diagon Alley, Mordred faced her. "Donuts? I s'pose it's muggle food.." he said biting his lips as he thought of a place where there's donuts.

"The Carnival, of course! We can try there." he said as he beamed. "C'mon, let's get you some cinnamon flavored bagels...er...donuts!" he said as he grabbed her hand. "Oh, and it's on me. I almost forgot it was your birthday." he grinned, turned around and started to jog toward the carnival pulling Aurora along behind him.

"No, it's fine really, I just freaked out that's all. As long as your fine now?" She asked curiously looking down at Beatrice trying to make sure she was fine.


"It's great to meet you Amethyst. That's such a pretty name," Evangeline said remembering that a Amethyst was a pretty purple gemstone.

"No way," Evangeline said looking wide eyed at the girl. "That's the exact same thing that happened to me and my new kitten. You just meet their eyes and you feel the connection between you both, It's pretty amazing isn't it?" She said, it truly was magical.



Evangeline noticed another girl looking over at her. She noticed the girl looked rather lonely, she walked over and introduced herself.

"Hello, my names Evangeline, it's nice to meet you." She said. "Are you a first year too?" She asked. Evangeline thought they looked the same age so hopefully they were. "What house are you in?" Evangeline asked rambling on.

Aurora raised an eyebrow, "Mordred Mordaunt? Nice? Really?" she joked, grinning slightly. "You really have changed, haven't you. You're getting nicer than me nowadays." She tucked her hair behind her ears. "Hey, first year wasn't too bad as a year... I mean, the stuff going on outside was worse. It was probably easier being in school than being at home. You know, with all the curses flying about." She shrugged and pulled a little white paper bag from her pocket. "Jelly baby?" she asked, offering them to Mordred.

Aurora glanced down to the carnival. "This Mordred is brilliant. Are you going to be like this forever?" she said, chuckling. Then... "Aaah!" she was being pulled down the street. She laughed and followed him, not that she had any choice.

*Sigh*

The carnival was so hectic yet still her baby seemed to sleep through it all. She didn't even stir at the loud music, nor made any movement when people screamed and yelled on the rides, not even stirred when Trixie accidentally tripped on her heels and jolted forward slightly whilst holding the baby carrier in her arms. She was completely sound, looking as angelic as ever in her silent slumber.

It didn't take her long to find the rest area, a place to stop and rest her arms for a bit away from the massive gatherings of children and the loud noises. The nineteen year old was about to sit down in an empty spot when she saw a familiar face in the foreground. A student she had missed like crazy over the last year, someone she had left behind after the former Head Girls graduation.

Spatulaclaw!

Or Vashti to the normal person but the Blonde had never been particularly 'normal'. Moving over to the spot she stood, quickening her pace as she got closer and closer, Trix gently placed Tabitha in her carrier on a chair and wrapped her arms around her friend, or soon to be Bridesmaid.

*Squeal*

"Oh how I've MISSED you" she exclaimed grinning.

Gideon nodded listening to Christopher answer, the fellow Gryffindor seeming to be searching for a word to end the statement with with raised a bit of curiousity but he let it slide. "Must be in the job description," he commented as the other boy agreed with him about his own sister.

The fourth year wrinkled his nose as his companion reddened at his comment. "No reason to be sorry. You'd only have to accept my own in that case so lets just chalk it up to settling in," he said with a shrug. Not to mention they were already well on their way to rectify the situation so there was no sense dwelling on the past.

Gideon tried to think of where to start when asked about himself, was there things he should say or not say? "Well I already revealed I had a younger sister, I also I have an older brother though thankfully not still in school," he revealed. That first year had been interesting with him as a new student and Andy as a graduating 7th year.

"How about you?"

Hmm.

The rest area was nice and all, but Vashti was already getting rather bored of it. She'd only been there for a few minutes, but she wanted to go back down to the carnival - it was boring being up here all alone.

She started to stand up to leave the rest area but out of nowhere she was ATTACKED being hugged by someone. It only took a second to recognize that voice and that blonde hair.

"Hey Trixie!" she said with a grin, wrapping her arms around her friend. "I've missed you too!" It felt like it'd been forever since she had last seen her. Even after a year, it was still weird that she didn't get to see Trixie at Hogwarts every day. Just didn't seem right. "How've you been?"

Whoa, this was a pretty cool place. Daniel and Elizabeth had made their way here from the bookstore. Hopefully things would be going up from here. They hadn't really gotten off to a good start in the bookstore... He looked around at all the people who were here. The carnival seemed pretty busy.

This was the second time Elizabeth had been to the Carnival it looked the same as it did the first time. She was really confused to why Daniel was here with her. He had a chance to leave and he didn't. But why? She looks at him and says in a sort of sad tone, "So what do you want to know?"

"Know?" Daniel asked, raising his eyebrows. He was a bit surprised at the question. "What do you mean?"

Lily needed a rest. So much shopping, she couldn't hack it anymore. She dragged her trunk through the grass and let it drop to the ground. With a heavy sigh, she sat down on top of it. Gazing around at all the people relaxing, she suddenly felt a little lonely.

Never mind, she thought to herself, At least I can have a bit of a break.

She didn't really know how to answer the question "Like...i don't know...what do you want to know...everyone always wants to know something about me. What do you want to know." Everyone always asked questions when they met her.

Lily huffed. This was getting kinda boring. Where were all the first years anyway? Up she got, dragging her trunk along behind her. Her arms were almost dead.. almost.

Clutching a black coffee, Lauren made her way into the rest area. She'd been contemplating wandering off deeper into the carnival and trying out some of the rides and games, but it felt a little bit strange doing this alone.
She perched herself awkwardly on the edge of a bench, not even bothering to look to closely at the other occupants.
Around her, Lauren watched friends chat and embrace each other, and she couldn't help but feel out of place. She hadn't contemplated this part of starting so late at Hogwarts much before, but now it seemed like a factor she could no longer deny.

Frowning, she took another sip of her coffee, trying to shake her thoughts away.

"Uh..." Oh, small talk. Hmm. Well. "What's... Your favorite color?" Daniel was entirely unprepared for this portion of the maybe-friendship exam. Dang. Was she going to ask him questions? Oh, boy. Snark he was good at. Being too touchy-feely, he was not. Just patting her shoulder in the bookstore had been super-weird for him.

Elizabeth kinda laughs, "I didn't mean those kinds of questions. People usually want to know what happened to my parents, why they are where they are, why my family is so bloody horrible, why I'm so mean." Just because Elizabeth told him didn't mean she was really that comfortable giving answers to the questions. "Oh and it's blue by the way."

OOC:What do you mean by just because Daniel minds doesn't mean you do???

"Oh. I guess I figure that's not really any of my business." He shrugged. "Unless you want to tell me, that is. And blue is good." He smiled at her.

"Well do you want to know?" Elizabeth asks him. "What you favorite color anyways? She laughs again.

"If you wanna tell me, sure," Daniel answered with a small smile. He couldn't decide if she seemed like she wanted to talk about it or not, so he figured he would leave the choice up to her. "Oh, and it's green."
