The Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling CarnivalThe Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling Carnival is here for the first time in Diagon Alley. Sponsored by all your favourite shops of Diagon Alley, the carnival is here for the summer! With magical rides and games, food stalls, knick-knacks and entertainment, this is a party for all ages that you won't want to miss.
Fancy a ride on the Magical Ferris Wheel? Only at Worple and Warmsley can you encounter a ferris wheel even taller than the London Eye. While the London Eye measures up to 443 feet, or 135 metres, our ride reaches an incredible 500 feet, or 152 metres. Each basket on the wheel has been enchanted to fit four people at a time; please do not attempt to squeeze in any more. Each basket is also equipped with one pair of sightseeing goggles for the curious rider to gaze out at the horizon that they tower above.
Please do not hang out of your baskets or rock them back and forth; we have taken many safety precautions and performed protective enchantments, but there is no guarantee that tomfoolery won't lead to endangerment.
Happy travels!
OOC: Feel free to interact with the Magical Ferris Wheel Carnie, Jean Lilliput (princess of*hp*), chat, play and please keep your hands and feet inside the basket at all times!

Beezus looked up. Whoa ! that seemed to be the highest ferris wheel she had ever seen .. Watching the riders and hearing their shouts tempted her to want to ride it .But she was alone, waiting for someone who would somehow offer to ride with her.
Maybe a few minutes had passed and Stephen was still deciding whether or not he should get on the ferris wheel on his own or with someone. He knew the conductor of the ride was probably growing impatient of him standing there and not wanting to get on just yet. But as soon as he was going to move towards that giant moving wheel, Stephen felt a tap on his shoulder.
Spinning around, Stephen gave the blondie a soft smile. "Hi Aimee. Enjoying the carnival so far?"
After tapping the boy lightly on his shoulder, Aimée glanced up at the Ferris Wheel looming above them, and at the woman who seemed impatient that they should be getting on. Her gaze fell back upon the boy as he spoke, and she returned his smile lightly, tugging on her hair as she spoke. "Oui, I zink I am," she said with a little laugh, looking once more at the wheel in front of them. "What about you?"
Her smile widened a little as she let go of her hair and began to move forward to the rid. "You coming on?"

Aha! So Dallin agreed, this was purely for safety. And if for some reason, they both fell out of the basket, they would fall together. And die together. "How romantic." Ellie muttered with a slight smile. With another sigh, Ellie rested her head on Dallin's shoulder. They were cute. There was no denying it now.
"Are we at the top yet?" Ellie asked apprehensively, peering over the edge, but not far enough. When Dallin looked back at her, Ellie smiled and just looked at him for a moment. She leaned her head back again. "You know... I'm happy." Ellie said, gazing over the tops of trees that were going below them. "I haven't been this happy in years." She said quietly before closing her eyes. The past four years had been traumatizing, and just when she thought she was happy, something else would go wrong. But now... Everything was perfect.
Hearing Ellie mutter something, Dallin glanced over at her. He didn't say anything though, because she put her head on his shoulder and he just smiled. He closed his eyes, but opened them almost right after. "I think we're almost there," he said, looking over again when she lifted her head up. "Yeah, almost there." He hoped the Ferris wheel would stop for a second when they got up there, just so they could look at the view. Did Ferris wheels do that?
He smiled at what she said next; she was happy. He took that to mean that she was happy all-around, and not just right now in this second. At least, that's what he hoped she meant. "Why?" He couldn't help but ask; he really wanted to know the answer. The truth was, though, that he was happy too. Granted, he hadn't gone through all the stuff she had in the past few years, but he was happy all the same. For the last little while he'd been just feeling good for no real reason. Although he was willing to bet the real reason was Ellie.

Well of course she wasn't going to be scared. They had travelled in an airplane last year and she'd had her face planted against the window almost the whole trip. It had been so exciting. Nik on the other hand...well she best keep that to herself. Mia didn't think he could take anymore of her spilling his secrets. "You can still cuddle me." And a snog or two wouldn't go astray either.
Pfft...he was so avoiding her question. He would pay for that. "They'll look like ants I bet." Yeah she would play along until later when she would make him do something that he wouldn't normally do. She remembered passing a face painting stall.
Hehe.
Nikolai was hoping Mia would say that. Not that it was him who needed the cuddles or anything, he wasn't afraid. Sure he might have been just a little scared when they went on that airplane the previous summer, but that was different. The airplane was something muggle, the ferris wheel was magic. Totally safe.
But still, the ferris wheel was big. And it would really be amusing to see someone who was afraid of heights start to freak out. Yeah, he would probably laugh at them. Tearing his eyes from the ferris wheel, he grinned over at Mia and nudged her gently. "That's even if we even look at the people."
Did that sort of answer her previous question?

Pfft...Mia just wanted to be able to look at the view.
Hopefully it did, because they were about to go on the ferris wheel! Nikolai was not excited. *Ahem*
Turning towards the woman who spoke, he had to blink a few times and.. well, he was really thankful Mia knew what she had said. Nodding his head anyway, since he was just going to agree with whatever Mia said, he chuckled when she asked that question. "Mia, it's not going all that fast." Surely it didn't need to be stopped.

"Me? I just got here and this was obviously the first thing I saw," Stephen gave a nervous laugh. Of course anyone would see the ferris wheel first, considering it's height compared to everything else. Slowly snapping back into reality, Stephen watched as Aimee moved towards the wheel and asked if he was going to join her. "Yeah. Though I think I might have my eyes closed most of the time,"

Leaning back against the padded seat to remain out of site of the excentric carnie, he felt much safer in the carriage with these other kids and the fear of being hexed began to subside. Auggie was new to this whole magic thing and being yelled at by a carnie, magical or not was a pretty tramatic thing.
The girl spoke first and as she did, a loud creaking could be heard from the ride's gears and they began to rise into the air. "Well yeah, sort of. I start there this term, my letter says I will be a third year. I went to my Muggle school before though." he nodded and smiled at her, then turned his head to the the older of the other two boys in the carriage as he had spoken to him.
"Nahh, I was more afraid that...lady would shoot me with her wand. She is definately crazy." he said staring out the window at the red hair on the ride operator which was strinking more into a dot as they got higher and higher. "Nice to meet you Nick, I'm August Goldstein." He didn't repeat his Hogwarts new beginnings because he had been right there next to him when he mentioned it to the girl across from them. Oh but he was new to Hogwarts too, well at least it seemed he wouldn't be the new kid alone. "What year will you be in?" Auggie asked excitedly. He looked at the other kid in the carriage (William) he was definately the youngest and had been pretty quiet so far.

However, as two more people, both older, came closer to the them, the boy in front of him grabbed the three of them and pulled them into the carriage.
Will's eyes widened behind his thick, horn-rimmed glasses. He shivered as he looked down at the slowly shrinking Diagon Alley; he wasn't too fond of heights. Breathing heavily, and quite nasily, he turned to the three people in the carriage: two boys, and one girl. They all seemed older than him.
He reached into the pocket of his jeans as the others conversed about which year they were in. The one girl in the carriage, who seemed close to Will's age, had a highly concerning grin on her face. He blew his nose nosily with a spare handkerchief from his pocket. After a few moments, he was addressed by the boy who had dragged them all in.
"Me?" he asked, shocked. "I-I'll be a-a-ACHOOO!" He sneezed harshly and began coughing for a few moments. "This will be my first year at Hogwarts." He said, sniffling loudly. "I'm sorry, I'm allergic to polyester and dandruff. Do any of you have a cat or dog?" he asked, sneezing once more. The young boy looked at the rest of them, his eyes watery and pink from his allergies. He realized he hadn't introduced himself, and hastily shoved his handkerchief back into his pocket.
"I'm William MacGhilleseathenaic," he said, reaching forward to shake August's hand, but placed it back on his lap, considering he had just had a sneezing fit and he doubted anyone would want to shake his hand.

Nick looked around at the three people around him. The one boy he had been talking to couldn't have been much younger than him. And the other two couldn't be any older than twelve. That was for sure.
He turned his head as he heard the boy (August) say Muggle school. "You went to Muggle school? I did to while I was home schooled magic." Nick wondered how the boy felt about muggle school. He himself highly disliked it.
Nick chuckled slightly at the comment about getting hexed or something like that. "She looked like she'd do it." And that wasn't a lie at all. "August. That's a different name." It was kind of a cool name though. Much cooler than Nicholas. "Fourth." He still felt weird starting at Hogwarts so late. Oh well. He really had had no choice in the matter.
...and then the younger boy started to have a sneezing fit. Nick knew he had been close in judging the age. Ah. Nick was glad he didn't have those kinds of allergies that made him go into sneezing fits. The bee sting allergy was pretty bad though...Nick nodded at William. Then he turned to the girl who had spoken up. Her name was Aine and she was going to be a second year. Score two for Nick.
So she was home schooled too huh? "Did you like being home schooled?" Simple question. Ah. So she was the reason for William's nonstop sneezing. He looked out the side as they went higher and higher. Gosh he loved the view from up here.

Danielle looked up at the Ferris Wheel and smiled widely, she held Philip's hand and practically dragged him towards the little queue that was forming to get on after the previous people were off. "I love this ride!" she said excitedly.
She remembered when Luke would take them to carnivals and things like this when they were younger- the Wheel was always pretty fun to go on. Especially when you're about eight years old... but still, even at 16 they were pretty awesome.

Dani smirked a little- "I hope so. You're not scared of heights or anything?" she winked at him teasingly and nudged him playfully as she moved to give him a big hug- "I'm just kidding" she giggled as she held his hands again and squeezed them reassuringly in her slightly daintier ones.

Philip smiled and squeezed Dani. He had always had a minor fear of heights, but that sure as hell wasn't going to deter him from a nice Ferris Wheel ride with Dani. No amount of fear would. "I'm not fond of heights, but I'm alright with Ferris wheels and Roller-coasters and such." He smiled.

Eep, they were almost there? Ellie bit her lip and kept squeezed her eyes shut. She didn't want to look until they were at the very top. "Let me know when we're there." Ellie whispered, putting her head back on Dallin's shoulder. Hm, he made a good pillow. You know, if it weren't for the screaming kids on the bouncy castle and the carpet ride, she could actually take a nice nap up there... Anyway,
Ellie smiled big when he asked why. Surely he had to know the reason. There were two main reasons to her happiness. Ellie took another sigh before responding. "The past four years, I've been living, knowing that I was going to die soon. My fourth year..." She let out a small, sarcastic laugh. "That was terrible. Everything fell apart that year. And then... I met you." Ellie looked up at his blue eyes. "And even though things were hard at the end of the school year and during the summer, you made me the happiest I had been in years." Ellie looked away, and rested her head back on his shoulder, a smile on her lips. "And here we are now."

Presley was enthralled by the carnival. It was wonderful. She'd never seen anything so noisy and dirty, and greasy-smelling and beautiful, and FUN before. She gripped Leo's hand tightly, tying not to get lost in the throng of people. There were so many of them, and most were laughing! This was the best place in the world. She spotted Philip, the friend she'd met briefly at the end of the school year. "PHILIP!" she shouted, waving the hand that wasn't squeezing the life out of her brothers'. That was a fabulous part of Hogwarts too, when you went to DA, you knew people. You could talk to people.
Leo looked down at his hand that was dying because it had no blood flow. "Preslet, you're killing me here." He said seriously. Much as he loved the child, he couldn't wait for her to locate people she knew so that he could go have fun with people he knew. He needed a break. Where were her friends that she had over for the summer? Somewhere around here, he was sure. He sighed in relief when she called out to someone named Philip. Then groaned when he realized Philip was an older kid. Not the kind that Presley would leave him and go on rides with, and eat sugar. The kind that you talked to briefly, and noved on to something else. He crossed his fingers they would find someone soon. Leo thought he well deserved some fun in his life. He didn't sign up to raise a child, so why was he doing it? Shaking the bitter thoughts from his head, he smiled down at the little angel that was his small sister. "Where are Luna and Rachel?"

Dani nodded and smiled- "Yeah, good point- like... rollercoasters and stuff, you're on them for like... two minutes... so it's not that bad" she shrugged a little as she moved, resting against him as they waited- this was the one bad thing about fairs and the like; the waiting. Not fun. But at least she was with Philip- her amazing Philip.

Presley noticed that a girl was standing rather close to Philip, and wondered if they were in a relationship. Based on the way they were interacting, probably. "Oh! I'm so sorry for not introducing myself. I'm Presley, I met Philip on like, the second to last day of school." How terrible of her! To forget her manners and say hello to Philip, and not his friends. She really was out of practice with proper etiquette and stuff.

Presley smiled shyly at Dani. "It's nice to meet you." Feeling slightly awkward, Presley waved. "Well, I'll just leave you guys then. I lost Luna and Rachel and I need to find them. Nice seeing you again! Yeah, that was weird. They were obviously at the carnival on some sort of a date, and Presley was totally in the way, they were just to polite to say that. For all Presley's fake bravery, she really was a shy quiet girl at heart. It made her nervous to meet new people, and she really wasn't sure just how good of friends she was with Philip. Was she the kind of friend that you nodded at in the hall, or the kind you talked to in the common room? She just wasn't sure. She was sure, however, that it was time for her to go, and leave them to their date.

Philip seemed a little sad that Presley was just going to leave. He had looked forward to seeing her again, but didn't know if he'd have to go until the next term before he could. "Oh, Alright then, Presley." He smiled. "I'll.. I'll see you soon.." He said to her and gave her a little wave. To him, Presley was a great friend, and he didn't want her to feel left out just because he had found someone he could really care for. In-fact, without Presley, Philip probably would have never had the courage to even really talk to Dani in the first place.

A bird flew beside the basket for a few seconds, it made him want his broom, this was nothing compared to the height his broom could reach. He watched the surroundings as they got smaller and smaller, cool, was the one word to describe it, boring, was another. He was still completely oblivious to Rose's panicking, she called his name. Peering around at the family of three that had hopped into a compartment, it looked like they were all in order. It was nice to have well-behaved folk on your rides, once in a while. Turning to the operations box, Jean tapped the box with her wand and the ride began to move. The family in the carriage slowly began to ascend upward toward the clouds in the sky.
Raven and her parents were so happy and the amazing thing about the ferris wheel was that it seemed like they were flying! Raven smiled and remembered her first time on a broom. This wasn't the same, but it was really great. She would never forget this wonderful memory with her parents, that was happening right before she had to leave them.

Rose looked at the bird. Then screamed again. 'TYLER! H-Help me!' Rose bawled. She tried not to look down. She looked down. 'Oh. My. GOSH! Tyler!' Rose cried. Oh, God, she wished her mum was here. Her mum would tell her everything was all right and cuddle her. She wished someone would hug her. 'Oh, God... goodbye... I'm gonna die, aren't I?' Rose sobbed.
