The Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling CarnivalThe Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling Carnival is here for the first time in Diagon Alley. Sponsored by all your favourite shops of Diagon Alley, the carnival is here for the summer! With magical rides and games, food stalls, knick-knacks and entertainment, this is a party for all ages that you won't want to miss.
Fancy a ride on the Magical Ferris Wheel? Only at Worple and Warmsley can you encounter a ferris wheel even taller than the London Eye. While the London Eye measures up to 443 feet, or 135 metres, our ride reaches an incredible 500 feet, or 152 metres. Each basket on the wheel has been enchanted to fit four people at a time; please do not attempt to squeeze in any more. Each basket is also equipped with one pair of sightseeing goggles for the curious rider to gaze out at the horizon that they tower above.
Please do not hang out of your baskets or rock them back and forth; we have taken many safety precautions and performed protective enchantments, but there is no guarantee that tomfoolery won't lead to endangerment.
Happy travels!
OOC: Feel free to interact with the Magical Ferris Wheel Carnie, Jean Lilliput (princess of*hp*), chat, play and please keep your hands and feet inside the basket at all times!

Schwachkopf pulled his lederhosen out of his "uncomfortable area" and walked through the Carnival. Mr. Balloons had told him to stay by his litter box and corner back at the Carnie's area, but Schwachkopf liked his Carnival. When he walked around the Carnival he always felt like he was in a Magical World of fun and crazy good times. Of course, he missed the old strudel stand that was taken away a few stops ago, bad Strudel accident, but what was he to do?
HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO! Quickly he fumbled to grab his friend Franz. The Ball in the Cup was always a good time for him. They had hours of fun together when Mr. Balloons, his keeper, had to go and entertain the people.
Then he said, "Franz, ve go now and have gud times." Then he stuck his tongue out and tried to get the ball in the cup. It was very hard... sigh.

"Hellooo" he grinned, keeping his eyes on the Wheel, he was slightly taken aback that a fellow Gryffindor could be scared of anything but then again he had some fears himself. He shivered just thinking about them, concentrating on what was in front of him to pull the fears out of his brain. "You're scared... Of heights? I'd never have guessed" he said "How could I not go on this?" he asked.

'Hi!' Rose grinned greeting him again. She nodded silently, her smile gone. 'Yup. Wow. The queue had gone from zero to infinity in a minute flat. That was a new carnie record! Was Jean employee of the month, or what? Taking her spindly wand and pointing it at her throat, she murmured, "Sonorus." Clearing her throat, her cockney accent boomed out over the queue.
"Step righ' up, lads an' ladies! Fo' o' less to a basket, an' no more 'n that! Move along, c'mon!"
Performing the counter charm, quietus, her voice returned back to its normal volume. Only now she realized that her co-worker had come along to entertain the queue. Or rather, to distract the queue. "I 'preciate yo' cups an'... Franz, and everythin', but we've got ta get this show on th' road." Opening the gate of the queue, she made a gesture, letting people know it was more than okay to pick a basket themselves.

Rose closed her eyes, took a deep breath. And walked into a basket thing. 'D'you wanna sit with me Tyler?' Rose asked, her voice trembling
Alessia looked up and saw a huge ferris wheel. It looked fun, so she decided to go on it. Unfortunately, the line was super long, but Alessia didn't care. She got to the end of the line. She didn't really care if someone went with her or not, though deep inside she wished she had someone to go with.
Well, wasn't this ..nice? Yeah sure, let's go with just nice. Being seventeen and afraid of heights wasn't exactly something Stephen told everyone. But maybe he's out grown that point of sitting in big, moving wheels that probably made you feel like a giant. Though it seemed terrifying to him, Stephen was going to try it out anyways. As long as someone he knew popped up quickly so he wouldn't go alone and have someone's hand to hold onto.
This was... new?
Yeah, Aimée hadn't seen this last year, so to her, of course it was. She approached hesitantly, naturally curious, and saw a Ferris Wheel. Fairs were totally cool, and she actually enjoyed them, surprising as it may have seemed. Not the way it messed up her hair, but it didn't make her sick like some people, and she liked being high as long as it wasn't on a broom.
But she wouldn't go on it on her own. Maybe she would wait until she was in the alley with someone that she - Oh. Smiling slightly to herself, she spotted a taller, dark haired boy standing slightly to her left. Weaving through the people, she tapped him lightly on the shoulder. "'Ello, Stephen."

With Dallin's hand in hers, Ellie dragged him towards the Ferris Wheel and pulled him inside one of the baskets with her. Heheheh. Wasn't this romantic? Yes, yes it was. "Have you been on one of these things before?" She asked him, suddenly apprehensive. Ellie looked up to the top of the Ferris Wheel. Dang. It was tall... Gulp. These things didn't have a record of breaking, did they? Sheesh, this thing needed to get going before Ellie thought it about it too much.

Dallin laughed as Ellie tugged him over to the Ferris wheel and into a basket. He pretty much had no say in the matter, so it was a really good thing that he didn't mind at all. He wasn't that scared of heights - ya know, unless he fell - and he wasn't opposed to riding on a giant wheel with Ellie.
"I have," he answered as he pulled the door on the basket shut and sat down next to Ellie. "Not for a while though." He turned with a small smirk to her. "You scared?"

Jean, seeing that everything looked to be in order, tapped her wand to the control box and the ferris wheel slowly began its ascent toward the clouds. Now, time to bring out the umbrella; it was no use chancing some nervous nancy's vomit falling onto your head from 150 feet in the air.
"Have fun!" She jeered at the riders, especially at those who looked particularly terrified.

So he was an experienced Ferris Wheel rider, eh? "I've never been on one of these before." Ellie said, somewhat anxiously. She had always seen these at fairs and such, but she had never actually been on one. Luckily Dallin was there to protect her from falling out. Or from a scary, jealous third year with no self control.
Suddenly, they started moving just as the lady below told them to have fun. But she didn't sound very sincere. In fact she sounded sort of sarcastic and menacing... Was she scared? Ellie looked down, while the ground slowly got farther and farther away. "Maybe a little."

Nick turned away from the carnie...to be pulled by the other boy into the basket. He had no issues with this, aside from being dragged. He was excited to ride the Ferris Wheel. He took a seat next to the boy that had dragged him and two other people in there.
"So...didn't want to ride alone I see?" He just looked over at him. "I'm Nick by the way. Nick Matthews." He said introducing himself to the three people. There was no way Brooke was going to meet more people than him. No way.

When the lady on the ground yelled for them to have fun, Dallin felt his stomach do a little somersault. Sure, he wasn't exactly scared of heights, but it was a bit scary. Not that he'd admit that, because he had to be the big, strong boyfriend for Ellie.
He scooted closer to her when she admitted that she might be a little afraid. Putting his arm around her shoulder he leaned back, a content smile on his face. "Don't worry. I won't let you fall." Heh. How completely, embarrassingly cheesy. "Just wait til we get to the very top. The view will be amazing."

Maybe a few minutes had passed and Stephen was still deciding whether or not he should get on the ferris wheel on his own or with someone. He knew the conductor of the ride was probably growing impatient of him standing there and not wanting to get on just yet. But as soon as he was going to move towards that giant moving wheel, Stephen felt a tap on his shoulder.
Spinning around, Stephen gave the blondie a soft smile. "Hi Aimee. Enjoying the carnival so far?"

Gladly, she scooted closer to him and wrapped one arm around his lower back and the ther arm around his stomach. "Just for saftey precautions." She told Dallin with a little wink.
Ellie waited patiently to reach the top of the wheel. "So, how's my wonderful boyfriend today?" She asked with a happy sigh.

Nick grinned as the wheel started to move. He loved these rides.
Leaning back against the padded seat to remain out of site of the excentric carnie, he felt much safer in the carriage with these other kids and the fear of being hexed began to subside. Auggie was new to this whole magic thing and being yelled at by a carnie, magical or not was a pretty tramatic thing.
The girl spoke first and as she did, a loud creaking could be heard from the ride's gears and they began to rise into the air. "Well yeah, sort of. I start there this term, my letter says I will be a third year. I went to my Muggle school before though." he nodded and smiled at her, then turned his head to the the older of the other two boys in the carriage as he had spoken to him.
"Nahh, I was more afraid that...lady would shoot me with her wand. She is definately crazy." he said staring out the window at the red hair on the ride operator which was strinking more into a dot as they got higher and higher. "Nice to meet you Nick, I'm August Goldstein." He didn't repeat his Hogwarts new beginnings because he had been right there next to him when he mentioned it to the girl across from them. Oh but he was new to Hogwarts too, well at least it seemed he wouldn't be the new kid alone. "What year will you be in?" Auggie asked excitedly. He looked at the other kid in the carriage (William) he was definately the youngest and had been pretty quiet so far.

Taking her free hand, she reached up to pat her afro and adjust her tall top hat before noticing another young kid approach the ride.
A cough/sneeze was all Jean needed to frown once more. What was with these kids? Didn't these parents teach them proper hygiene? Who got sick during the summer? Shoving off these pessimistic notions, she answered, "Erm... yeah. Yes, m'boy. You and little... mini pompadour boy, over here." Pointing her wand at a door to a carriage, she waved off the boy that she had frightened. If they didn't ride, she didn't make her wages. And Jean wasn't cut out for poverty.

He looked at the other kid in the carriage (William) he was definately the youngest and had been pretty quiet so far.
Will was shocked to see this deranged Carnie acting so rudely to her customers. She was practically forcing the older boy in front of him; she had pushed him into the carriage at wand-point. It's not like Will could have helped him. He was a puny, sickly eleven-year old with too many allergies. He would have been taken down by a sneezing fit before he could have reached the guy. However, as two more people, both older, came closer to the them, the boy in front of him grabbed the three of them and pulled them into the carriage.
Will's eyes widened behind his thick, horn-rimmed glasses. He shivered as he looked down at the slowly shrinking Diagon Alley; he wasn't too fond of heights. Breathing heavily, and quite nasily, he turned to the three people in the carriage: two boys, and one girl. They all seemed older than him.
He reached into the pocket of his jeans as the others conversed about which year they were in. The one girl in the carriage, who seemed close to Will's age, had a highly concerning grin on her face. He blew his nose nosily with a spare handkerchief from his pocket. After a few moments, he was addressed by the boy who had dragged them all in.
"Me?" he asked, shocked. "I-I'll be a-a-ACHOOO!" He sneezed harshly and began coughing for a few moments. "This will be my first year at Hogwarts." He said, sniffling loudly. "I'm sorry, I'm allergic to polyester and dandruff. Do any of you have a cat or dog?" he asked, sneezing once more. The young boy looked at the rest of them, his eyes watery and pink from his allergies. He realized he hadn't introduced himself, and hastily shoved his handkerchief back into his pocket.
"I'm William MacGhilleseathenaic," he said, reaching forward to shake August's hand, but placed it back on his lap, considering he had just had a sneezing fit and he doubted anyone would want to shake his hand.

realizing how fake her smile must look,Aine did her best to relax, she could do this she could be near people she took a deep breath and introduced herself "My Names Aine Starz, Im a second year I think, I transferred from a home school, but my parents think i can be in a real school now" she paused almost giving away why she was home schooled "my dads a wizard" she smiled brightly a real on this time. " and Im sorry William I have a pet cat Im afraid his fur is all over my clothes" she gave him a weary look and reached into her skirt pocket with her gloved hands "I have some extra Kleenex if that will help?"

Aha! So Dallin agreed, this was purely for safety. And if for some reason, they both fell out of the basket, they would fall together. And die together. "How romantic." Ellie muttered with a slight smile. With another sigh, Ellie rested her head on Dallin's shoulder. They were cute. There was no denying it now.
"Are we at the top yet?" Ellie asked apprehensively, peering over the edge, but not far enough. When Dallin looked back at her, Ellie smiled and just looked at him for a moment. She leaned her head back again. "You know... I'm happy." Ellie said, gazing over the tops of trees that were going below them. "I haven't been this happy in years." She said quietly before closing her eyes. The past four years had been traumatizing, and just when she thought she was happy, something else would go wrong. But now... Everything was perfect.

How would she have liked it if he went around saying things about her? What he would say, he knew not, but that wasn't the point. There were just some things that shouldn't leave the house ever, especially when it came to him. He simply poked his tongue out at her again.
He didn't think Mia was scared of heights. He was sure that, if she was, she would not have picked the ferris wheel to go on first. Actually, he didn't think she would want to go on it at all. That was just a ridiculous thought. Her question brought a smile to his face and he gave her hand a squeeze. "Of course you can." Like she needed to ask. "But what if you're not scared?"
Could he still comfort her?
Or maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea. Not with the next question she asked him. He trailed his eyes up to the top of the ferris once again and.. he was just going to avoid answering her. "Merlin. I bet if you look down from the very top, you won't even be able to see the people on the ground."
Mia raised her eyebrows at him. She was gonna grab hold of that tongue if he poked it out at her again. Cheeky bugger that he was.
Well of course she wasn't going to be scared. They had travelled in an airplane last year and she'd had her face planted against the window almost the whole trip. It had been so exciting. Nik on the other hand...well she best keep that to herself. Mia didn't think he could take anymore of her spilling his secrets. "You can still cuddle me." And a snog or two wouldn't go astray either.
Pfft...he was so avoiding her question. He would pay for that. "They'll look like ants I bet." Yeah she would play along until later when she would make him do something that he wouldn't normally do. She remembered passing a face painting stall.

Turning at the sound of a very strong accent, Mia gave the carnie an excited smile. "Sure am." She gave Nik's hand a squeeze. "Can you stop the wheel when our carriage gets to the top?" Because that would be just so romantic, wouldn't it?
Pfft...Mia just wanted to be able to look at the view.
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?
Then they started moving. 'TYLER!' Rose screamed. Oh God. She was. Facing her fear. But. She couldn't. She needed someone. To keep her calm. Rose started taking deep breaths. It wasn't helpling.
