The blonde smiled at the guy in front of her. Emma nodded at what he was saying. "Cool! I've never been on a ride like this. My parents are pure lopes and strict," she said, pouting a little. But if Evrett said this ride was going to be cool than it was. The blonde just had a feeling that she would take his word.

Emma smiled and took his hand, shaking it. Ah formal was he? Naah, he was probably being polite. "Nice to meet you Evrett! Fifth year? Awesome, we'll be in the same year! Do you know what house you want to get into?" asked the blonde, curiously. Perhaps Slytherin? Ravenclaw? Gryffindor? SLYTHERIN? The Malfoy hoped he was in her house.. Cause she would like to get to know him. He seemed friendly.

Now that she was talking to the girl, Vashti was sure she'd seen her around Hogwarts before. She wasn't sure she'd ever really talked to her though, at least not for a very long time. They might've talked briefly before, but that was about it, so she was sure she didn't know her name. "I've just been to the refreshment table so far." And had lemonade explode all over her thanks to that boy, and between then and now she'd been cleaning herself up. So the bumper brooms would be the first ride she actually went on. "What about you? Have you ridden any other rides?" Maybe she could suggest which to go on next.

Ohhh, good, so Vashti probably hadn't formally met the girl before now and she hadn't simply forgotten, since the girl was now introducing herself. That made the Ravenclaw feel a little better. "Nice to meet you," she said, extending a hand to Caroline. "I'm Vashti."

Caroline appeared just as excited about these bumper brooms as she was. Vashti liked this girl already. "Exactly," she agreed with a grin. "Anything with brooms has got to be awesome." Except sweeping. That wasn't all that fun or awesome.

Amethyst giggled, grabbing her dear friend Sarah by the hand, pulling her over to the Bumper Brooms. She'd never ridden a broom before and thought it would be a great experience for she and Sarah. "C'mon Sarah!" Her long black hair waved gracefully behind her and she ran.

Sarah ran along with Amethyst excitedly. This would be her first time to ride a broom, and she hoped she would like it. "I am coming," Sarah said amusedly.

Amethyst giggled and smiled jumping up and down, extremely excited. "Oh! This is SO exciting!" She tried to hold it all in, but there was no use for that.

Sarah watched her friend in amusement, then said, "Who do we ask to get in?"

Amethyst looked around after saying, "I don't know.."

She smiled and looked to Sarah. "Maybe her?" She walked to the woman smiling wide. "Excuse me, Miss? My friend and I would like to ride this ride. Who must we talk to to recieve our turn on the Bumper Brooms?" She asked this politely and sweetly.

Fee was making her way over the carnival looking at all the facinating stuff she could do here and there as some brooms caught her attention.Wow,that seemed pretty cool.All the riders definitely had some fun.Being in the air always was and this was kinda a special ride.

Why had most of her friends to be on vacation right now?Doing this alone wouldnt be as much fun as it would be with someone else.Hugo was in France,Chandler in Switzerland and so on.Standing there the Slytherin just watched the people and laughed now and then when one of the brooms kinda got crazy.

"Yeah, maybe..." Sarah smiled, looking around...

"Oh, hey, I know her!" Sarah said to Amethyst.

"Hi, Feenella!" Sarah called, "Ame, would you mind if she joined us?"

"... If she wants to, anyway...?" she finished, looking questioningly at the blonde fourth-year.

Nikolas was mad. WHY? His sister. That was the reason, she was annoying and he left her in a shop that he didn't remember the name. Anyways, he said to her he was going to the carnival. Obviously Amelia didn't heard him and he knew she was gonna be mad but that's her fault. Pshh.

Nikolas walked over to the carnival, it was simply awesome. He could have never imagine a carnival here in Diagon Alley! WOOT! He was hungry but some brooms caught his attention so he walked over to see what it was. Rides. That was great! Some girls were screaming and that was definitely funny and yes, he laughed. He then heard someone else laughing and looked around. He found a girl sitting, watching the rides and laughing. Nikolas walked over her and said "Funny, right? The faces that people do, it's priceless" he chuckled.

Amethyst called back to her nodding. "Sure! The more the merrier, I say!" She giggled notcing the blonde girl.

Selina crossed her arms as she waited out front of the Bumper Brooms. She continually looked at the clock that was hanging over the ride down by the Vendors to check what time it was. Kurumi was supposed to be here five minutes ago! The nerve of some people. Honestly, one would think that after not seeing their best friend for the whole month of July, better yet the whole month of June, since Kurumi had locked herself in the library and the pair had only talked on the train, that the person would want to see their best friend! But no... obviously not. Selina was not upset... oh no, she was just PEACHY!

She could wait patiently. Now she was a mature thirteen year old who was cultured in the manner of being patient. Yep... patience was a virtue of hers... no impatience slipped by her walls.

UGH! WHERE WAS SHE?

Kurumi made her way through the crowded streets. How in Merlin's beard was she supposed to know where all the carnival attractions were? She had only just arrived the other day and had hardly gotten her bearing when her father had thrust a letter from Hogwarts in her face with the biggest grin on his face that she had ever seen. Well, it did come in second to the time when she had received her Hogwarts acceptance letter. She reached into her pocket where she felt the badge that was about to change the entire way she looked at Hogwarts.

However, all nervous thoughts vanished when she saw Selina...but Selina didn't look all that pleased.

"SELINA!" Kurumi called waving her free hand while the other held onto a small parcel that contained some items she had bought while in New York.

All of the pre-written speeches and sneers that Selina had pent up for when Kurumi had arrived flew out the window when she saw her best friend coming down the street toward her. A smile possessed her face as she jogged over to her friend. In one fluid motion she gave her friend a hug and pulled away from her sitting in the comfortable rift in her hip.

With an amused grin she said in a friendly tone, that was shocking to Selina because she was so upset that Kurumi was late, "You. Are. Late."

Then the gravity of those words sunk into Selina's skin and her grin subsided a little bit, "Yeah, you're late. Why are you late? You don't see your friend for nearly two months and you take your good old sweet time. What's with that Hollingberry?" Now her arms were crossed and her face translated- answer that for me.

Kurumi felt like she had just gone through a whiplash of emotions. First Selina was happy to see her and now she looked as though she had just insulted her flying skills.

"I...I...I got lost..." she said feebly, kicking at a stone aimlessly. "I-I didn't know that there was a carnival going on. Diagon Alley is at least fifty times busier than usual. That, and I got caught up with a man wearing all black and white with a white painted face who got me stuck in an invisible box." At least, the way he had been moving around her made it seem like she was stuck in a box. "But, I'm here now. That's the important thing, right? It's not like I stood you up or anything."

Nope, Kurumi wasn't that sort of person.

"OH! I have something for you," she smiled, hoping that her cheerful persona would make Selina's face look less like an angry troll and more like a happy kneazle. "In America, they have semi-professional Quidditch leagues. I managed to get to one match and I bought you this t-shirt," she explained handing over the white t-shirt with a red logo on it. "I also got you these," she continued, pulling out a medium sized box from her bag and handing them to her best friend.

Selina was about to lay out her friend for being late when she heard- I have something for you. As if by magic, Selina perked up like a puppy dog at the presents that Kurumi was holding. What did she get her? She was thinking about her in New York? What did she get her?

All of her grueling inquires were answered when Kurumi handed over a t-shirt and a box. Flipping over the t-shirt she saw that it was a Quidditch related t-shirt. She nearly squealed from excitement, until she opened the box and saw... food. Then she did squeal.

Smiling broadly she took a bit out of one of the chocolates. With a full mouth she leaned over and hugged her friend, "Awl wright, jou are forgiwen!"

Stepping away to swallow she finally asked, "So how was New York? Did you love it?"

Kurumi ducked and flinched here and there as she tried to avoid the bits of chocolate and were being spit out of Selina's mouth as she tried to speak with it full of chocolate.

Kurumi wasn't entirely sure what Selina was saying to her, but she assumed that it was something good.

"It was amazing," she nodded. "All the different tastes, smells, and sights. And the people!" She clapped her hands together remembering it all. "The program was amazing as well. Really made me consider a possible career in international relations." She paused again to think some more. "Did you know that American's don't put mayonnaise on their pizza?"

"No mayonnaise? That's alright I guess. Personally I like salad cream on my pizza, but that is just a preference. Why what do they put on their pizza?" She paused for a moment. Were they really discussing pizza when she had a whole month of times in New York? "Wait, wait, wait. You spend a whole month in New York and all you have to tell me when you get back is that the pizza has no mayonnaise? Come on, you had to have had some other fun things happen."

Then a thought struck her like lightening and she grinned from ear to ear, "For instance... did you meet any boys out there?"

Crunch! The chocolate was just too good."

"That, and the taxi cabs don't have doors that open up automatically," she teased sticking her tongue out. "Japanese pizza is just so much more elaborate than regular pizza. Corn, tuna fish, mayonnaise...there are always so many flavors competing with one another. Vickers took me to a pizza parlor in New York where I had a simple mushroom and cheese pizza. It was fantastic!"

Kurumi tugged on her hair for a moment. Her and Vickers had become pen pals since the end of the program, but she did miss all the group work and projects they had been on while in New York.

And then there had been Conan, whose family had been far too generous to her. It really had been a magical week - and not just because she had spent it at Disney World.

Selina laughed when Kurumi stuck her tongue out at her. She was about to reply with a witty comment when Kurumi went on about the pizza again, "We're back on this, are we?" She figured she might as well relax, something had happened this summer that she obviously was trying to deflect talking about with pizza.

Pizza... mhmm, speaking of which Selina was very hungry. So she stuck her hand back down to the box to grab another three chocolates. She popped each one into her mouth and licked her lips afterwords... mhmmm, nom nom.

Her eyes shot open from the delicious goodness when she mentioned someone by the name of Vickers, "Bloody Nora! You did meet a boy! Who is he? Do you like him?"

Fee stood there watching the people and their facial expressions.Some of them didnt seem like they had sat on a broom already.Wich made it kinda hard for them to stay on.That was only logical.The blonde really,really wanted to try out.It would be a really,really good exercise for the next Quidditch try outs.This year the blonde wanted to be on the Quidditch team.No matter how she would make time for it.Yep.

The Slytherin was thinking about asking if she could go on a ride by hereself.After all the girl had some experience when it came to flying.Since he had turned 5 she had always flown with her brother in their backyard.Just as the girl was about to go look for the carnie she heard a male voice next to her.Turning around the Slytherin smiled at the guy."Oh heeey",she said friendly,"yeeees some of them look really schocked.I didnt know people could make faces like that."How come she didnt notice that someone stood right next to her,oh glitter this carnival was really distracting."I am Feenella by the way."

Their conversation about pizza was cut short when Selina's eyes brightened at Kurumi's mention of Vickers.

"L-L-L-Like?" Kurumi asked as her cheeks flushed a bit. "I-I don't hate him if that is what you mean." But, Selina most certainly didn't mean that, did she? "He is very nice, from America actually, and really interested in flight. Well, especially birds." Kurumi tugged on her hair some more. "I-I also spent a week with Conan at Disney World. His father owns it." And some more tugging on her hair.

Kurumi's expression got a bit more serious now. "Selina...You know my track record with boys. You're seen it. I...I don't think I want to even think about boys like that for a long time. Not after," she paused for a moment. "Not after what happened with Treyen. I don't know what I did, but I think he hates me now. I haven't heard from him since we spoke in the Trophy Room." Her eyes looked down at her shoes and began to tear up a bit.

Beatrice watched as people entered and left. The smile on their faces as they bumped into their friends. She leant back, not really watching at all that well. It was their responsibility if something happened, not hers. As long as they were having 'fun' then she couldn't care less.

She paid attention when someone approached her though. In her broad East end of London accent, the rhyming slang would've come if she had the opportunity. "That would be me" she stated, glancing at two spare brooms that were levitating a few inches off of the ground. "Those two will do" she pointed. "Go ahead. Just try not to break them" she stated.

Selina nearly cursed herself- she had forgotten about Treyen, which reminded her that she still had some unfinished business with the Hufflepuff Prefect. How could she have let Treyen slip her mind? Kurumi was on cloud nine when the pair was tottering on friendship and something more. To be honest so was Selina. She had never seen Kurumi so happy and that, in turn, made Selina happy. But leave it to Mr. Insensitive to completely lead her on and shove all of her feelings right back down her throat. Kurumi was ruined for weeks after the incident. Her hair was never such a sickly color.

Thinking about it made her blood boil. You know, she really should have a nice little chat with the Hufflepuff... she had a few things to say and so did her cousin's beater bat. It was no secret that Selina could actually do that to him if she wanted. The question was actually would he egg her on enough to make her do it.

Her eyes met with Kurumi's who seemed to be reliving all of the pain of Treyen she reached for her friend's hand and held fast to it, "Of course, I forgot. I am officially the worst best friend ever. But I promise you that Treyen will see things a little different with a black eye... not meaning that he'll date you or even like you.... just that he will have trouble seeing with the black eye I'm gonna give him."

"Selina, don't be silly. You are the best best friend I have ever..." Kurumi began shaking her head, but her thoughts were immediately cut off as Selina continued to talk. Her face lost a bit of color and her jaw dropped. Yes, that had been one of her darkest hours thus far at Hogwarts, perhaps darker than when Adam had left, but Kurumi didn't wish pain on anyone. This was especially true about those she cared about. Not to mention she didn't want Selina to get in trouble on her behalf.

Kurumi squeezed Selina's hand. "Selina, I know you mean well, but beating Treyen with a Beater's bat won't help anything." Selina hadn't said that she would use such a method, but it seemed fitting that the red head would use a Beather's bat. "I...I just want to be friends again. I don't know what I did to him to make him hate me - other than telling him how I feel - but the eyes he showed me at the End of the Year Feast...it frightened me. It was as if I had ruined his life."

Kurumi wrapped her arms around herself. Friends...very close friends...would she really be satisfied with that? Well, she knew right now that she was miserable with the thought that he hated her. Treyen had been more than a friend to her over the past year. She needed him. He was another pillar in her life.

With a small smile on her face, Kurumi looked at brooms flying above them. Speaking of Beaters...

"So....shall we try out these brooms?"
