| Jessiqua's 100 flavoured Bertie Bott's Beans for Beatrice York - Sa 13+ Sassenach | RAVENPUFF | Sing me a song of a lass that is gone | bookDRAGON | #awkwardturtle<# Credit to The Fire Ferrets/DinosaursOnASpaceship Hi all, I'm Jess and this is my SS100 about my Hogwarts RP Character Beatrice York Disclaimer: The wonderful world of Harry Potter including ALL canon characters, subjects, spells etc. belong to the incredible J.K. Rowling
Except for... Benny Atreyu (Holmesian Feline), Paulina Holiday (Squishy), Hady Lynch (SpiritWolfe Malfoy), Frankie Paton (Zoe), Dante Barrington (Meizzner), Cutty Mordaunt (SlytherinSistah) 25. SORTING HAT And finally, after all of the waiting through the sortings, "York, Beatrice!"
The first year excitedly made her way to the stall, sat down, and placed the hat on her head. "Hmm, interesting. yes, yes, very interesting. There's individuality here, yes, and creativity. But I see more, yes. You would do well in Ravenclaw, but hmm... I know just the place for you... HUFFLEPUFF!"
Beatrice found her face taken up by a large smile as she hopped off the stall and walked towards the Hufflepuff table.
She watched as "York, Nina," was called, and her sister was sorted into Hufflepuff.

| Sassenach | RAVENPUFF | Sing me a song of a lass that is gone | bookDRAGON | #awkwardturtle<# 32. COMMON ROOM Beatrice watched intently as their prefects tapped on the barrels outside their common room. One of the lids lifted and they clambered through. “Wow,” Beatrice exhaled, turning around to take it all in. “It’s magNIFicent,” she said to Nina.
It was night, and she felt the warmth of sunlight coming through the windows! Everything seemed to be circular and yellow, characteristics Beatrice just loved.
Up in the dorms, Beatrice couldn’t help but let out an incoherent sound of awe as she lay down on her four-poster bed, stroking the patchwork quilt underneath her. “It feels as though we’re sleeping outside.”

Beatrice went to gather it up, knowing how much it meant to her sister. To Beatrice it was JUST a pair of socks, and surely their parents would buy another pair for her, but she did know that Nina thought of them as her lucky socks.
Pulling out her wand, Beatrice said “Geminio,” and flicked her wand at the other sock. In a few moments, she held a PAIR of socks in her hands.

THESTRALS “OH MERLIN WHAT ARE THOSE?” Beatrice yelped, flinching backwards and dropping her open packet of Bertie Bott’s. “BLOODY BOOGER!” she growled, bending over to put them back in the packet. She’d wash them later. “Chill Tris, they’re Thestrals. Don’t you remember learning about them last year?” Nina said, unable to comprehend her sister’s revulsion. “No, yes… but why are they here?”
Nina knew. “Well… you only see them if you’ve witnessed death,” she said.
Beatrice blinked a few times, trying not to remember. “Oh,” she said in a small voice. So that had been why she hadn’t noticed them before.

Beatrice noticed the Professor wave her want and suddenly she felt herself grow. “Beatrice you just transformed yourself into a phoenix. First go. That’s… that’s almost unheard of,” she said in amazement.
Beatrice gulped. Really? A phoenix? She hadn’t even noticed. “Oh,” was all she could say.
Why wouldn’t the Professor stop staring at her? “You hold a talent there, Miss York, mark my word. You will go far in the practice of Transfiguration.”
Beatrice couldn’t help but smile.

OWL “I don’t want an owl though, mother,” Beatrice said to her mother whilst they were at Eeylop’s. “Well what animal are you going to get then? An owl is useful, the others are about as useful as a sausage,” she snapped in Gaelic.
Beatrice frowned. “Why do I want a silly owl? I can use the school owls.” “Or mine, I want an owl” Nina said. “Yes. We can use Nina’s owl. I want a cat ma, please can I get a cat?” Beatrice had LONGED for a cat for so long, and now there was reason to get one.

CLASSROOM “Hello Melissa, come into my classroom, please,” Beatrice said, opening the door to her unit for Melissa and her mother to come in. “This is a classroom?” Melissa asked with a frown, clearly not impressed with the setup.
Beatrice let out a soft laugh, glancing at Melissa’s mother. “Well I’m only a one student kind of teacher at the moment so… yes, it’s my classroom. Come on in."
Melissa and Beatrice sat down in the makeshift classroom; two desks, two chairs, parchment, quill and ink at the ready, to start with the one on one pre-Hogwarts tutoring. Today’s lesson; Transfiguration.

You LOVE Autumn!” Beatrice begged her sister. “Bea I can’t,” was all she could say, not even trying to fight her off, but not giving in either.
Beatrice stopped and sat on the ground in front of the lounge. “Talk to me.”
Nina sighed. “I can’t bring myself to do anything. I don’t want to get up, eat, go outside… I don’t want to do anything. I just can’t bring myself to do it,” she said in a monotone, worrying Beatrice more than what she was saying.

Author’s Choice: CHRISTMAS The tree was decorated, the fire was crackling, the Christmas shortbread were in the oven, and Nina and Beatrice were dressed in their identical Santa’s Elf pyjamas, giggling on the couch as the York family sat around with their musical instruments, singing carols together.
Beatrice delicately ran her bow to and fro along the strings of the Cello, playing the tune to O’ Christmas Tree, as Nina sang, their father strummed on his guitar, and their mother huffed along with her flute. Every year they played carols, the York family tradition. Beatrice and her father started singing along with Nina.

Beatrice laughed it off, “No thanks, you know I don’t want kids, that’s not changing,” she said, pulling funny faces to her niece. “Nah, I’m tellin’ ya. I see it happening Bea, you and some mystery person getting married, having babies…” she shook her head, “Don’t fight off the inevitable.” “What are you, a Seer? Nina, I’m NOT interested in having children. Ever. You’ve known this since we were kids. I’ll settle for being awesome Auntie Bea, and I’ll ROCK at it.”

Beatrice sighed, obviously annoyed. “Then bugger off.” “No, I came over so that we could hang out, and all you’ve been doing since coming here is playing on that stupid piano.” “The piano is not stupid, Hank. And I didn’t invite you over. You came over from your own accord. How about next time you ask before you come over. Don’t just force your presence onto me.”
Hank rolled his eyes and sat back down.

Beatrice stopped playing the piano and looked to Hank. He was sitting a bit too close for Beatrice’s comfort, but by the time the thought had crossed her mind, he gently cupped her face in his hands, leant forwards, and planted a kiss on her lips.
And he lingered there, their lips touching.
Beatrice gently pulled back from the embrace, lowering his hands from her face with her own hands.
This was not what she had in mind when he unexpectedly popped over.

What could she say to that? “Um… well, I like you too, Hank, you know, as… as a friend. We’re friends. I… yeah, I totally kiss my friends, all the time,” she tried joking, making light of the situation.
Hank frowned. “You think this is a joke? Nice Beatrice. Real nice.”
Beatrice frowned, “Hey, don’t go getting all huffy at ME. You’re the one that came here all smoochy without ANY inkling I felt the same as you.”

She just couldn’t wrap her head around it. Why was she being yelled at? What did she do? “HANK! I’m not the one that made the dodgy move.” “Well why have you been flirting with ME if you never meant to reciprocate?”
Beatrice’s hand shot up and slapped Hank’s cheek before she knew what she was doing. The shock was immediate for both of them.

A look of hurt passed over his face briefly, before being replaced with anger. “FINE! Hearing a slam, she knew he had left. “What was that all about? Are you and Hank fighting?” Nina asked, walking into the room.
Beatrice sighed, sitting back down at the piano. “Ohhhhh I don’t know what his problem is.”
Nina smirked. “Really? Bea? Not at all?”

After weeks of her office being overly decorated with a small tree, tinsel, fake snow on the windows, and ornaments, she was finally seeing the castle match up. Decorating the Christmas trees in the Great hall had been magnificent, both in decorating it and watching others decorate the trees. They all appeared to have had such a creative and festive time. The owls hadn’t been such a fun addition to the Christmas baking activity, being that they were delivering letters in the KITHCEN. But thankfully her Christmas shortbread wasn’t tainted by falling feathers or owl droppings. |

They’re all so ugly. They won’t work!”
Beatrice rolled her eyes. Every now and then Nina got slightly too hysterical to make decisions, such as what to wear. She went through her side of the wardrobe and pulled out a set of charcoal dress robes that she hadn’t worn for a while. “Try these ones,” she said, handing them to Nina. |

The two Hufflepuffs put on their matching Christmas jumpers and hats and made their way to the Great Hall. It was festively decked out, huge decorated trees and wreaths, the four houses and school staff were mixing and mingling together on the one table in the middle. It was nice, and Beatrice sat next to one of her friends from Gryffindor whom she rarely saw outside of classes. That was too bad. Not for the first time, Beatrice wished it was okay to visit people in their houses. |

The memory was fresh in her mind, and of course it was happy. Although she was putting all of her focus into the spell, she was smiling. A happy smile.
From the top of her wand, there appeared a silver wisp, forming a tail. Beatrice knew what was coming next, having seen the form of her patronus before. It matched her, of course; patient, independent and curious.
The tail formed into a slender body with four legs, and then a head. Beatrice’s silvery cat patronus walked a circle around her. |

The white blonde six year old bound through the bedroom door, down the stairs, and spun around on her tip-toes. She was a pink ballerina!
Their mother laughed, happily, watching her daughters fly and prance around the living room, before they headed out for trick or treat. “Come on girls, get your pumpkin bags. Do you want to come trick-or-treating or am I going to go by myself?” she asked in her sharp Scottish accent.
The girls giggled and ran after their mother, ready to trick-or-treat.
