Accio!

Hermione screamed, a book was flying past her ear. This wasn’t exactly what she wanted when she came to the library. She had in fact, expected some quiet, away from the noisy world of the Gryffindor Common Room. To have a book nearly clip her ear was not her idea of peace.
Hermione looked up, the normally placid hazel orbs she had as eyes flickering with murderous anger. She pushed back her bushy brunette mane of hair as her eyes met the cold glittering silvery eyes of none other than Draco Malfoy. Upon the pale delicate features was a smirk. “What do you think you’re playing at?” Hermione hissed angrily, spying a furious Madam Pince scowling in the background.
“Nothing Mudblood, just summoning some books I need.” He drawled. “Accio” And flicked his wand casually again, causing a small avalanche of books to zoom across the library.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Madam Pince cried in distress, scurrying across the library as fast as she could.
“Sorry Madam,” Draco smirked, “Granger wanted a book and I summoned it for her that’s all.”
“Well be more careful with your wand Mr Malfoy!” She snapped, as Hermione fumed at a…smiling Malfoy?

Silencio!

“URGH! WHY DO I HAVE TO EVEN LISTEN TO YOU?” Hermione screamed.
“I didn’t say you had to Granger.” Draco replied.
“YOU DRIVE ME MAD!” She bellowed
“That’s not my fault; it’s your decision to make me drive you mad.” He answered, slightly hurt.
“I CAN’T STAND YOU!” She cried.
“That’s a shame, because I can stand you.”
”YOU ALWAYS RUIN EVERYTHING I DO!”
“That’s not true, I bet there are thing that happen as a mistake that I don’t cause.”
“YOU ALWAYS INSULT ME TOO! IT’S NOT LIKE YOU HAVE TOO!”
“I don’t mean to.” He told her sincerely, his heart breaking to his knowledge.
“WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?” She yelled, tears coming to those startling hazel eyes. Her hair flipped across her face and she looked incredible when angry he thought.
“I’m sorry; I don’t mean to upset you.”
“I JUST…AAARGH! SILENCIO!”
The argument between Hermione and Draco silenced as he watched her fume silently, he watched everything about her, and he adored her even more as his silence taught him to appreciate what he had already. At least she would talk to him. Even if it was as loud as she could possible manage.

Reducto!

Rocks rained down from the sky like bombs. Shouts and screams decorated the terrified atmosphere. Hermione’s clothes were ripped. She was running. Only, she was stopped within seconds when ever a boulder landed in front of her. Dirt was smudged upon her face. Across her arms and legs. Her pale skin flushed with fear. Around her, everyone else was running about, trying to save their lives and also the ones they loved. It was hard work. She was separated from everybody else. She was alone.
A high pitched whistling suddenly hit her ears and she screamed as something knocked into her.
“REDUCTO!” A familiar voice bellowed and a hole was blasted in the biggest rock she had seen fall from the sky. She was dragged in and it was then she was able to look at the person who had saved her. Draco. Holding on to him she cried as he soothed her.
It was a strange sight. A pair of enemies hiding together, calming each other, as the world literally came down around them.
He wiped away her tears as she cleaned the blood from his cuts. For once, they were able to put the other first before themselves.

Quietus!

This was a strange sight. A trio of Gryffindors, a Ravenclaw and a Slytherin – talking, completely normally, not one argument in hearing! What they were talking about however, was far more surprising than their convocation was what they were talking about.
“If you want to find the next Horcrux, I would say think about what he’s already got” Said Hermione, twirling the ends of her hair between her fingers.
“Well, he’s got something from Slytherin, something from Hufflepuff…errr.”
“Wow Ron, that’s really helpful!” Harry said sarcastically, “I do know that by the way”
“He’ll be more inclined towards Slytherin, which was his house” Draco told them casually, “It was his home more than any other house.”
“That’s true,” Hermione considered it, “But why have more than one object form each house?”
“I don’t know…”
“There could be –“ Hermione began to say.
“sssshhhh!” Interrupted Luna “I can hear something!” indeed something was outside…footsteps…
“Quietus” Draco mumbled…their voices became softer, quieter, harder to hear and the footsteps neared them, coming closer and closer…Hermione held her breath. Ron grabbed Luna’s hand. Harry drew his wand. Hermione leaned back, groping for Draco’s hands. Draco wrapped his arm around Hermione’s waist, his wand outstretched…

Hurling Hex!

Breakfast at Hogwarts was going to be interesting. It was the first breakfast back after the trio’s sixth year. What was worse was that several of the Slytherins were now Death Eaters and were freely roaming about the school, instilling terror into the other students. Harry was having to put up with a lot of stress, his wand was constantly out, his protego charm stronger than ever before.
Hermione, Ron and Harry settled themselves on the benches and began to tuck in to a large breakfast. They were hungry. Very hungry. Chatter was swilling about the hall as if everything was normal, it would have fooled a stranger to the school if it wasn’t for the large amount of constant shield charms out. Silence suddenly smothered them all. The Slytherins entered.
Malfoy walked past Hermione.
“Errr, a mudblood.” Was all he needed to say.
The Hurling Hex was preformed and a table hit Malfoy and several other Slytherins. This was why the shield charm was used these days. This was why the DA was back on, and in bigger forces. This was why, Hermione loved Draco. This was why Draco loved her back. They were going to save each other.

Legilimens!

He had locked her in the charms classroom. The git. It was just him and her, locked together in the room and he wasn’t going to let her go.
“For goodness sake Malfoy!” she exclaimed, her hazel eyes gleaming angrily, her stunning brown hair flicking about her shoulders, her fists clenched, her entire body shaking with her fury. “Just let me out!”
“No, I want to know something first!” He told her. Hermione gazed at him, watching his pale grey eyes glitter with something she couldn’t place. His blonde hair flopping in front of his eyes in a way that made Hermione double take. He was, unfortunately, rather good looking.
“What?” She asked him stubbornly.
“Do you… have any kind of feelings for me?” He asked her quietly. Hermione stumbled back, stunned.
“Please…tell me…”
”I don’t know…” She replied, completely amazed.
“I am an experienced Legilimens Hermione…I could find out” He told her.
“Draco…”
“Yes?”
She walked forward and pressed her lips to his she broke apart.
“I like you Draco. But we can’t be together it would be too much trouble. Sorry.” She kissed him once more, and he kissed her back, knowing it could be the last time.

Levicorpus!

The castle shook. The entire ground on which they all stood vibrated with sudden shuddering jolts, the sickening lurches of movement throwing people off their feet. Once more, people shouted, yelled and grabbed each other, hoping to stay on their feet. Books fell from shelves, tables fell over, chairs fell knocking other people off other chairs. There was pure trouble, everywhere you went. The Hogwarts library was hit the worst. There was no where you could hide. Books, chairs, tables and other students would land on you. Wands were useless.
Suddenly, the juddering stopped and Draco stood up, testing his balance. He wiped dust off his robes, dabbed at his forehead. A series of cuts from the books he had been studying had fallen upon him littered his arms. There was true bruising all over his body. He shook himself off and looked over seeing a pair of legs under a pile of books. He crouched down and began to dig out the body. Soon enough he came across a mane of beautiful brown hair. Soft creamy skin covered in paper cuts and bruises.
“Hermione?” He asked softly, looking at her passed out form. “Levicorpus” he said flicking his wand.

Mobilicorpus!

Draco carefully controlled Hermione’s unconscious form as he took her to the infirmary. Every where he went there was a person hurt, somebody in pain, there was trouble pretty much everywhere. People were chanting ‘Mobilicorpus’ and anyone who could heal minor cuts and bruises were. There was trouble all over the place. Glass windows had broken and there were portraits damaged. Students were lying everywhere, injuries were scattered over everybody.
People who had done as much healing or who where recovering from having a ointment put on them where levitating debris to the corners, clearing a way for other students to pass with the injured in tow. The portraits were becoming messengers, with students wanting to know if their friends on other floors were ok. Teachers were either helping or where passed out and hurt themselves. Senior students were casting powerful scourgify spells to clean up the areas. Draco had never seen such chaos yet such love for another in all his life.
Repairo spells were being cast left right and centre on the minor cracks and breaks on the easier to repair objects. Some who had broken wands were physically carrying the hurt.
The School would always live on.

Flagrate!

Sitting on the fresh grassy banks by the great lake Hermione sat with one of her books in her lap and read it, letting the sun warm her, the breeze toss about her hair playfully, allowing her toes to dip in the cool glassy waters of the great lake. It was peaceful, calming, and it was good knowing that she could just study in peace. Only, there was something else about it. She was allowing her mind to wander…

Flagrate

The marking spell, when cast it creates a flaming ‘x’ on the targets. It allows the caster to know where they have been before…

Hermione’s mind wandered, she was thinking of where she had been before. The zoo, with her parents when she was five. She could remember the monkeys, the way that they had swung madly about on the branches. She could remember getting her Hogwarts letter. She could remember the first boy she had kissed. Then she remembered the way she felt about a different boy. She had been there before…
She remembered the way his lips touched hers. She remembered the way his hair brushed her cheeks as they kissed. She remembered the way it was forbidden.

Sectumsempra!

She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She was stunned. Of all those stupid things Harry had done, performing a curse form that book just topped the list. She looked over at him, over at the boy that was going to save them all and looked at his white face. She looked over the blood that had missed being washed off and she felt a tear slip down her face. She knew whose blood that was. Slowly, she got up from the seat and walked down to the portrait hole and slipped out. Why had he even bothered to use that curse? That ‘Sectumsempra’ curse.
She wiped away another tear and found herself walking towards the infirmary. She pushed open the door, walking slowly towards the guy she thought she would never come to see. Slowly, carefully, and quietly, she came closer to him. There were cuts everywhere. All over him. She sat on the chair next to him and just…looked at him. Those grey eyes opened and he looked back at her. She let another tear slip down her face and he took her hand. That is where she stayed, next to him, linked, for as long as possible.

Jelly Legs!

For some reason, both Hermione and Draco were able to act like complete idiots together. They were supposed to be revising. However they were able to just able to fool around in fits of laughter. Constantly.
“Draco!” Hermione giggled pretty much lying across the table with mirth, “We’re supposed to be practising the charms we’ve learnt! Not being stupid!”
“Yeah” He said, poking her in the ribs with his wand “but I prefer being a complete idiot!” he retorted smiling at her. He stood up and walked towards the next table planning to get some books from there. Seeing a golden opportunity Hermione pulled out her wand and preformed the Jelly Legs Jinx on him. Draco began to wobble about hysterically and failed to stand up. He fell over throwing up the books he had grabbed in the air. Hermione screamed with laughter and fell off her chair only to hear.
“I could have done with some jelly legs! Thank you very much!”
Tears began to stream down her eyes as she laughed and she looked up to see Draco dragging himself along the floor towards her laughing at her. She grinned at him, to get a smile in return.

Engorgio!

“Malfoy, do us all a favour and just shut up no one wants to hear that voice of yours.” Hermione informed a disgruntled Malfoy.
“Well you know what Mudblood, you’re not exactly pleasant looking, have you ever thought of walking about with a bag on your head?”
“Well no one thinks you’re good looking either ferret boy, at least I don’t attempt to pretend I do.” Hermione retorted, knowing she had said a huge lie, but at the mention of it Malfoy’s cheeks had flushed a faint pink.
“You are so big headed” Malfoy retorted.
“Engorgio!” Hermione said, waving her wand at him. “Not as big headed as you though Malfoy.” She told him slyly as Draco’s head began to swell to almost three times its normal size. “Oh gosh, that’s absolutely brilliant!” Hermione squealed, watching Malfoy panic as his head became too heavy for him to carry.
“PUT THIS RIGHT NOW!” He thundered to Hermione’s amusement.
“Oh if I must” Hermione smirked, waving her wand and correcting his affliction. “Happy?”
“Much better,” Draco spat at her, putting his hair back into place with his fingers and scowling at her through icy eyes.
“It was your fault Malfoy,” Hermione grinned.

Confundus!

Truth or Dare was, and it was completely agreed, a great game. If you could come up with a good dare and not mind revealing something about yourself you were completely fine. So this is what Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny were doing one Saturday morning. Playing truth or dare. They were currently thinking of a dare for Hermione, who, hoping to regain the use of her left arm again thought that a dare might get her that luxury back.
“I know…” Ron began with a rather evil grin on his face, “I dare you to use the confundus curse on Draco Malfoy at lunch today.”
“Ok,” Hermione agreed, nodding, for some reason dreading lunch. Soon enough it came and as Draco walked in through the doors she preformed the curse upon him. The group of four Gryffindors then took delight in watching him ricochet of the tables.
It was agreed, that dare was the best so far. Seeing Malfoy end up with Jam over his perfect robes was priceless. It was then that other tables began to notice him as he walked backwards, stealing cornflakes from the Hufflepuffs. What was funnier was him trying to eat through his elbow.

Unbreakable Vow!

He took her hand. She took his. She looked him in the eyes. Those pearly grey eyes. He looked her in the eyes. Those dark hazel eyes. She took in all of his features gorgeous pale skin, his pale lips. He took in her beautiful face. Her lips, her rosy cheeks. He ran a hand through her wavy brown hair.
“Hermione, this is serious, I…are you sure?” He asked her sensitively, he was worried about her and this was a scary commitment to make.
“I’m sure, ok, I’m sure.” She replied, looking him right in the eye once more.
“Ok then…well let’s start this then.” Draco said and took out his wand, gripping Hermione’s hand differently but before he started he bit his lip and lent forward, gently pressed his lips to hers.
“Thank you” He breathed, “This means more to me than I think you can ever understand.”
“I said I’ll help, so I’ll help” She breathed in reply.
So the began, the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Through each other they were bound together in more ways than one. By marriage, by a son, by love, by that Unbreakable Vow they made as enemies all those years ago.

Tarantallegra!

“I can’t believe this” grumbled a messed up Hermione Granger, “Of all the people to be paired with; I have to be partnered up with you.”
“Yeah, well I’m not exactly jumping up and down with excitement at this either Mudblood” Answered a rather disgruntled Malfoy.
“I’m not exactly thrilled at learning to dance either by the way, so don’t you dare try anything funny.” She warned him, gripping his hand as his arm slid around her waist.
“Try something funny?” He smirked, “Oh yeah, like what could I try while learning how to fox trot with wizarding filth?”
“Oh why don’t you go choke on your own tongue,” Hermione snapped in reply.
“Ohhh violent for you Granger!” Draco replied smirking again.
“Shut up.” She snapped again.
They continued to twirl about complete with several stepped on toes, scowls, insults, and jerky stops to shout at each other. For others watching this was great entertainment. Soon enough, after the latest stop, they attempted to begin again. It didn’t last long at all.
“You can’t dance at all Granger.” He whipped out his wand “Tarantallegra” Hermione’s feet began to twitch uncontrollably.
“That’s not funny!” She screeched as Malfoy shook with mirth.

Furnunculus!

There was a huge crowd up ahead, and bright lights flashing about as well. This couldn’t mean anything good, especially with all the shouting too. Hitching her book bag higher on her shoulders, and tying her fluffy brown hair back too, she ran forward towards the fray of yelling students.
“Furnunculus!” Someone cried, but that jinx missed and someone from the crowd was quickly escorted to the hospital wing in tears.
Hermione pushed her way forward and shouted at the battling two – that she hadn’t seen yet, to stop. Only, when she got to the front of the screaming crowd of supporters she stared in horror. Her boyfriend was fighting her best friend.
“Harry! Draco! Stop!” She shouted, and Malfoy did. She smiled at him briefly and proceeded to curse Harry for not.

Impedimenta!

“IMPEDIMENTA!”
“FURNUNCULUS!”
“STUPEFY!”
“TARANTALLEGRA!”
“REDUCTO!”
“PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!”
The battle continued between the pair of them in an angry duel, neither of them seemed to care if the spells hit or not, just as long as they caused some damage somewhere they were fine. This was complete and utter all out war.
“LEVICORPUS!” Screeched Hermione, and she laughed seeing Malfoy hanging upside down, his boxers revealed to the world.
“Do I win?”
“NO!” he bellowed “IMPEDIMENTA!” The curse missed again and she let him drop. He fell flat on his face and he ended up winded.
“Do I win?” She asked again.”
“Yeah…you win” he gasped.
“That class, is what you call a good battle” Said the duelling club professor, smiling at the pair of them. “Take note on how the pair of them moved…”
Hermione smiled apologetically at Draco and he gave her a weak smile back.
“Sorry” she said.
“It’s ok” he accepted it.

Blasting Curse!

“For goodness sake Harry! If we don’t get out of here we are stuck! We’ll be caught by the Death Eaters and probably killed! Do you want that to happen? Do you?” Ginny was hysterical. Tears were streaming down her face, cuts and bruises were slowing her down and she was petrified. They all were.
“No! I don’t want that to happen at all!”
“THEN GET US OUT OF HERE!” She screamed at him. Sparks exploding from her wand. There was an entire wall of boulders blocking their way out and they had tried most things to get out of there.
“There is one thing we haven’t tried,” Hermione said desperately, “Stand back though!” quickly she did a powerful blasting curse that actually worked and they ran forward, only to find there was still half of the wall left. As they ran back again the wall exploded and a hole was created. In the gap stood Malfoy, gesturing for them to come forward. As they ran past him, he took hold of Hermione kissed her, and ran forward to what could possibly be his passing.

Incarcerous!

All five of them were bound up at the wrists and by their ankles, their wands had been removed from their bodies and they couldn’t see anything. Yet someone else was lurking about, watching the group of five teenagers.
“well well well, What do we have here? Harry Potter and his league of sidekicks. Weasleys of course, pathetic excuses for wizards and a mudblood. You sure pick ‘em don’t you Potter. The chosen one…what names do you like being called Potty?”
One of the unmentioned teenagers was struggling against his ropes.
“Whats this? A Malfoy? Well I never would have thought it of you, but a traitor? You make me sick.” There was a sharp sound of a collision and a pitiful moan followed by a horrified gasp by Hermione.
“Oi! Bane, You’re not needed got a break” Somebody called in to the dark room.
“I’ll be back vermin.” He spat at them. His footsteps were walking away, but not before he muttered “Incarcerous” upon the four of them.

Horn Tongue!

“You know what Malfoy? I am really tempted to give you a horn tongue right now so how about you do me a huge favour and shut up!”
“Oh be quiet yourself Weaselette, you’re giving me a headache with your constant whining, it’s not even like I’ve actually done anything.”
”Yeah you have” She retorted,” You came in to this carriage.”
“Well it wasn’t like I actually had much of a choice. Granger here grabbed me.” He spat.
“Oh you think I’m thrilled about having you come into Gryffindor for the year? You think I’m excited about having to keep you away from the Slytherins for an entire year? Get over yourself Malfoy.”
“Oh stop your whining, I’m not” He snapped at Hermione who scowled angrily at him.
“Wow, this year is going to be a barrel of laughs” Harry said rolling his eyes and trying not to kick Malfoy.
“You’re telling me” Both Hermione and Draco said at the same time.
“as a matter of fact I am!” Hermione told him.
“Oh I get it, you’re not happy with me being here…yeah yeah yeah…”
“Oh that’s it!” Ginny said. Malfoy is still getting used to having a Horn Tongue.

Rictumsempra!

“Oh Cheer up!” Malfoy moaned at the gloomy faces of the Gryffindors as he saw their faces drop as they saw him walking into their lesson.
“You Gryffindors are so boring; don’t you ever do anything that makes you smile?” He asked them, faking a grin himself; he really hated being kept away from his mates this year. He was proud of being a Slytherin and this wasn’t what he wanted to spend his last year at Hogwarts doing.
“Oh well…” He said, staring at the scowling Gryffindors.
“Yeah, we do things that make us smile Malfoy! We do things like this!” Hermione chirped up, pointing her wand at Malfoy. “Rictsempra!” She called and Malfoy was hit with a powerful laughing spell. He doubled up crying tears of laughter and so did the Gryffindors. Thinking back over the year so far, it couldn’t be too bad. Malfoy hadn’t been too much of a git yet and making everyone crack up was worth it. Sooner or later the Gryffindors managed to compose themselves as Malfoy was forced to choke back his screams of laughter.

Diffindo!

He had to get her attention, what ever he did, he just had to get her attention. And this time, with out insulting her first. He looked at her in the corridor. He found her irresistible, there was just something huge about her, something that made him want to stop and stare and then unfortunately, because of who she was stop and yell and insult at her. It wasn’t what he wanted. He wanted to …hold her. That type of woman was rare. Brains and beauty all in one stunning package. If it wasn’t for her blood and who she was…things would be so much easier. He took out his wand and aimed it at her bursting bag.
“Diffindo!” He whispered and her bag split. Books from pretty much every subject spilled on to the floor. She sighed in annoyance and repaired her bag with her wand before bending down and chasing all the parchment that had blown away. Malfoy gathered up her books and put them in a stack for her.
She came back and placed the parchment in her bag, and took the books from Malfoy. Their hands touched briefly and they smiled at each other. A good moment.

Colloportus!

“Colloportus!” He cried and a squelching sound told the pair of them that the door had sealed and for the moment, they would be alone together. For how long though, was the question. They loved keeping their relationship a secret, There was something about it that made it so much more enticing. They wanted to continue it for the thrills, but lately, not so much for the pure excitement, but because…they loved each other.
They kissed softly, passionately, madly, wildly. They couldn’t get enough of each other. Their hands ran all over each other, keeping them close together, holding each other near to them…
“WHO’S IN THERE?” Someone shouted, banging on the door. They broke apart, panting, gasping for breath, flushed cheeks and messed up robes they attempted to sort each other out.
The banging got worse and Filch burst in to see Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy ‘fighting each other’
“DETENTION!” He roared.

Relashio!

“I will not tolerate this!” An inhuman voice hissed murderously. “Relashio!” the voice snapped in a fit of pure untamed fury. The unfortunate victim of the anger flew backwards, a groan escaping their lips as the wall behind them crunched.
“You have failed me Draco” said the man.
“I’m sorry Master, I’ll try harder!” He begged, struggling to his feet, trying with all his might to not break in front of this monster.
“NO! YOU WON’T! I’ve seen it!” The creature taunted, “I’ve seen what is in your mind! You love her! You will not kill her!”
“I don’t! I will!” He cried, lying out right.
“No you will not.” Lord Voldemort hissed. “Your job was to take out that mudblood Hermione Granger. Without her Potter won’t have the intelligence he needs to kill me! If you do not kill her you shall suffer the consequences! Crucio!”
As Malfoy screamed in pure body ripping pain, Hermione burst into tears. It was common knowledge that Voldemort did not know the power of love, but right now, Hermione knew the person she loved was being hurt and her heart broke for the one person she thought she would never like. Draco Malfoy.

”Can you two stop arguing like an old married couple? You’re both doing my head in and if you’re not careful I’ll langlock both of you!”
“Oh give in Weasley! You don’t even know what Langlock is!”
“Don’t be so sure about that!”
“Oh you’re so pathetic, you’re giving me an empty threat…gosh I’m just so scared I’m shaking in my high quality boots.”

“No, not really, I just didn’t want to know that you had ‘high quality boots’, it didn’t really add much to the come back”

“I’m sure it’s not all that bad” Soothed Ginny, as a sobbing Hermione got through her third tissue box.
“It is! It really is!” She wiped her eyes and cried even more, her robes completely soaked with her constant crying. “He was so mean to me!”
“Hello! This is Malfoy we’re on about here!” Ginny reprimanded her and she smiled slightly.
“I know, I know, I should be more used to it now. Look, it’s late Gin, I better go to sleep. I’ll see you in the morning yeah?”
”You sure you’re ok?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine…”
“OK then see you later.” Ginny left in a series of pattering footsteps as an owl flew through the open window. It landed on her bed and shook itself. Feathers went everywhere. “Tergeo” Hermione said, and the feathers disappeared. She took the letter and read it.

x”

Hermione smiled, and went to sleep.
