Annie enters the classroom. Glad she's not too late she takes a seat.

Ivy first practiced the incantation several times to make sure that she had it correct. "Transmorgify." she said again and again. Then she decided to practice the wand motion, 'Its a quick downward slash, ending with the point of the wand pointed at the gecko,' she thought.

She took the gecko from her shoulder and held him for a moment and said, "I hope you are ready for this little one. Please don't be too sore at me if I mess up the first few times."

She set the gecko down on the desk and took a deep breath. She said, "Transmorgify" forcefully and thought of a water goblet. The slash of her wand however produced no result, save that of a small puff of smoke.

Tao watched the professor intently. She didn't know if she could do it like the professor, but she gave it a try any ways. She grabbed her wand and concentrated hard on the gecko. With a quick downward motion of her wand she yelled, "transmorgify!" unfortunately nothing happened. A frown on her face appeared. "Remember what the professor said, we might have a few false starts!" she reminded herself. So she decided to try again, concentrating harder this time, she did the exact same thing. This time there was a bit of a spark. "That had to mean something," she said to herself smiling only slightly. "Well, third times a charm!" she stated under her breath. So once again, she concentrated as hard as she could on the gecko and with a flick of her wand she again yelled, "Transmorgify!" And this time she was a bit sucessful, but not by much. She had managed to change part of it into a goblet, but it still had it's tail. She sighed wondering how she could get her gecko back to try again.

Hannah pulled out her wand and did the moven'ts, and said transmorgify!. nothing happend. she tryed once more, this time the gecko trins into a goblet! Hannah smiled proudly.

Yuna listened to the instrustions Professor snuffles had given her. So she pointed her wand firmly at the gecko, she did a too quick slash and then the gecko gave a small puff then turned into a glass. Yellow and blue coloured glass Yuna's gecko became. She looked at the professor and showed a experssion ineed of help. 'I was so sure i did it right what went wrong?'

Terry move her cage to one side and decides to practice the spell before trying it. She takes her wand, does a downward slash ending at the top of her desk, and says "Transmorgify". It seems simple enough. She then takes the gecko out of the cage and performs a simple imobilus spell on him, so he won't run away. With the gecko perfectly still, Terry takes her wand, does a downward slash ending with wand directly over the gecko, and says "Transmorgify". She ends up with the top half of the gecko resting beautifully on top of a green stem. "I see what you mean, Professor. I have a beautifull stem, but no goblet."

Ivy raised her hand and asked,"Excuse me Professor, but I was wondering if there is a proper syllable to place the emphasis on in the incantation?"

Arkee pulled up her sleeves, and positioned her wand. Copying the professor's wand movement, and saying "Transmorgify" as needed, Arkee was stunned to find that her gecko's head had formed into the cup portion of the goblet, and the poor thing began running around in a brainless fashion.

"Oh, my poor gecko, I'm so sorry!" she apologized profusely to the reptile, and scooped it up. "I'll fix you, I promise!"

Arkee tried several more times to complete the transformation, but her anxiety at having failed the first time was preventing much from happening.

Meghan frowned... "Here we go again." She thought. She said "Transmorgify!"
She gecko had barely transformed. She tried again. "Transmorgify!" Better. But not good enough.

Everytime she tried she had gotten better and better but there was much needed improvement. She tried again... on her 11th time. "Transmorgify!"

Her goblet had a tail but she was proud of it. Maybe next year... Her fifth year she would improve more.

Annie takes out her gecko and tries the spell. The gecko turned into a sort-of cup with legs. Annie laughs and tries again. She says under her breath "I hope I'm not the only Gryffindor here!"

"The stress is on the last one," He responses as he watches the students. "Good job" he tell the students as he moves about the tables. He watches Terry for a moment, "Keep practicing you'll get it."

Marybeth put her gecko in front of her and took out her wand. "One...two...three...transmorgify!" The spell, instead of changing the gecko into a water goblet, created a small puff of smoke that smelled faintly of coffee grinds. "Darn it," she muttered under her breath.

"Remember focus, deep breathe then perform the transfiguration," Professor McAiken encourages those who are having trouble.

Annie tries again "transmorgify!" her goblet now had a tail, but it was better than last time.

On Annies third try it was perfect, but the goblet still had a few scales.

After her fourth try Annie got it totally perrfect. She was very proud of herself. She wondered what the homework would be.

Dru tries again, "Transmorgify," whilst making sure that she stressed the last syllable.
Her Gecko/Goblet was surround by a cloud of smoke and once it parted she has a perfect blue and green Goblet.
Dru jumped up and yelled "YES!" She then sat back down very quicky and blushed slightly.

Ivy says, "Thank you, Professor."

She tried again concentrating hard on the image of a water goblet. She took another deep breath and the gecko looked at her lopsidedly. "I'm sorry in advance lilttle one."

She said "Transmorgify" forcefully and with a downward slash of her wand came a puff of smoke that obscured her view of the desk for a moment. When the smoke cleared she gasped, then laughed. The gecko was in tact, but was clear as glass. It flicked its tongue at her clearly confused as to what was so funny.

Lissy continues to concentrate on her gecko, with a water goblet in mind. She makes sure to wave her wand as told: a downward quick slash that ended with her wand pointed at the gecko. She makes sure to stress the last syllible as she said "transmorgify".

After a few unsuccessful tries Lissy finally produces a water goblet. Not as pretty as the professor's, but definately servicable.

Tao listened to the professor and tried once again. She stared at the half gecko/half water goblet and concentrated once again. She took a deep breath and with a downward flick of her wand she yelled, "transmorgify!" It had worked. Not by much, but it was closer. Encouraged she tried again. "Transmorgify!" But this time nothing. She frowned. "Concentrate!" she told herself. She stared hard at the half gecko and focused on nothing else. She could barely hear any of the students in the background practicing. She then took a deep breath and with another downward flick of her wand she yelled, "Transmorgify!!" She did it. The gecko was completely a goblet. She was proud of herself, but she knew it would take much practice to get it on the first try rather than the eighth try.

Marybeth focused again on her gecko, giving it a dirty look. Taking a deep breath, she practiced the wrist movement on its own, then said, "Transmorgify!"
The gecko's eyes grew huge, then stopped growing. Marybeth poked them nervously and the eyes grew back to their normal size.

i yelled out transmorgify and it worked the geko turned into a pitcher..ahh i just love transfiguration..after all Mr Ollivander said my wand was good for it

"keep trying," McAiken encourages as he moves to another section of the class. "Speak clearly and use good wand motion."

He pleased with the efforts. He thinks they will have it soon.

Annie laughed at Marybeth's gecko. Not in a mean way though.

Marybeth sighed and concentrated harder than before, thinking about the water goblet..."Transmorgify!" To her utter amazement, the gecko before her change into a water goblet...though it still had some scales.

Lee nodded to the professors instructions. Lee walked over to Jaren "hey Jaren you still have my wand from last time could i please have it back?" As Lees wand was returned tro him he walked back to his Gecko. He raised his wand and said "transmorgify!" Lee said sharply and clearly to get full effects of the spell. He slashed his wand in a downward angle like the professor stated and his gecko turned into a puff of green smoke like the professors did, but there was one difference. The stand of the goblet was visible but the top end of the gecko still remained.

"hmmmm" Lee stated "i knew transfiguration wasn't my best subject!". Lee decided to make another attempt. He raised his wand once again and said to the new Gecko "transmorgify!" again his tone was sharp and clear. He waved his wand in a sharper dash this time and a puff of green smoke erupted again, this time revealing a whole goblet, the only problem was some gems were missign from the pattern, but this suited Lee very much.

Dru admires her goblet, then looks around the class to see how everyone else is getting on.
