Hearing Lee offer to help is a good thing McAiken think so he replies, "That would be helpful Lee and Terry you can help as well. Each house has earned 5 points for helping. And just a reminder please if another class or something prevent you from entering class on time please don't announce you're late. Normally I would take house points but I think today I'll just warn you."

Lissy raises her quill as asked. Then tastes it: mmmm... good. She then receives her cage, takes out her gecko, examines him and then returns it to the cage to wait for further instruction. Still nibbling on quill. Yums.

"Um..." said Ivy quietly, "These quills are brilliant."

Erica looked at the quill that the professor just transfigured. She looked at it for a moment untrustingly, then decided to take a chance and taste the end. It did taste like chocolate. It was the best thing she had to eat all day. None of that terrible food in the Great Hall, for sure.

"Delicious. Thanks, Professor."

"great! what do you need help with professor" Lee said in a pleased mood that the professor actually trusted Lee to demonstrate transfiguration, whicxh just so happened to be his worst subject.

Tao looked at her quill and nervously examined it. She decided to nibble on the end. Well, it was nice in a non-chocolate sort of way. She nibbled some more... "It's quite tastey," she thought to herself.

He waits calmly in the front of the room as the student study the geckos. He smiles as he see several of them walking up the sleeves of robes and as the students' faces seem brighter than before.

Nadia found her quill and held it up in the air, "Is this good?" she asked and waited for the professsor do do, err, whatever he was supposed to do with the quill.

Then staring back at her new chocolate quill... err, not tha she didn't appreciate it, but now she had no quill to write. With a shippish smile Nadia, Nadia went looking though her things until finding a small eagle feather. She wondered, this might make a good quill with some additions. Sighing, she started nibbling on the chocolate, quite happy with it though in still a somewhat passive, aphatic matter.

She moved to take the corresponding gecko from its cage to examine it, then put it back, but she wasn't sure what she was suppossed to spot.

Terry was happy to see Lee offering to help and the other students smiling. They say you can get more flies with honey then vinegar, so maybe this treat will help the students cooporate with the new teachers.

Terry takes her gecko out of the cage. It reminds her of the garden lizards back home. She wonders if he has any money he would like to show her. After giving it the once over, she returns it to the cage. He will probably make an interesting water goblet.

Ivy giggled as the gecko climbed all over her and finaly came to rest on her shoulder. "Hello litte one," she said craining her neck and petting it delicetely with one finger.

Xavier's gecko walks up his sleeve. It was a fascinating creature. He carefully grabs it and sets it down on the table, continuing to look at it.

After examining the quill far too much, she finally began to look at the Gecko. She let it out of the cage and began examining it. "This should be fun," she thought to herself.

The geckos are extremely cute. Lissy is concerned. She raises her hand to ask a question.

Dru gently takes the Gecko out of its cage and lets it sit on the palm of her left hand and strokes its back with her right index finger.

Xavier notices a fellow Ravenclaw student raise her hand to ask a question. he continues to study his gecko. It's feet were amazing!

Meghan took out her gecko then examined the instructions. Luckily she had an extra quill with her... She heft the chocolate one for later and placed her new quill on the desk. Meghan then kept watching her gecko stumbling on her desk... She smiled and realized this class was going to be great.

Selena looked at her Gecko and asked it a question "Hey I've seen you in the commericals, so i know u can help me save a bunch of money on my muggle car insurance." Selena said laughin while examining her gecko

Lee studies his gecko, it looked pretty darn ugly to him but he just shrugged and placed it in the table in front of him and shooed it into the cage. He lifted his quill and it turned into chocolate "sweet professor" he began eating it and replaced it with a new quill. He sat down munching waiting for further instructions.

Yuna quickly walks in and tires her best not to be notice by professor Snuffles. She sits in the back row of the seats near Lee and waits for the professor.

"Hello, Mr. Gecko," Arkee said quietly to the tiny occupant of the cage in front of her. "You're going to be a water goblet today. I hope you don't mind. Here, have some of this quill."

Arkee started poking her gecko witht the sweet-tasting quill, waiting to see if her gecko liked that sort of stuff.

Erica took out her gecko from it's cage and gave it the once over. She wondered what the gecko's use would be in this lesson as she put the gecko back in it's cage. She also sampled more of the delicious quills that the professor had provided for them. She was loving the class so far and hoped it would turn out productive.

"Nadia your pen will still write your note, just don't put the nib end your mouth." McAiken says as he notices the Slytherin girl looking for another quill. "I've found ink and chocolate to be an ill mix." His tone of voice is cheerful.

"Okay, we can begin. You'll be using the transmorgify charm that will allow the magical abiliity within yourself to transfigure the gecko in the goblet. The incantation is of course "transmorgify" and the motion is a downward quick slash that end with your wand pointed at the gecko. Remember you must focus of the water goblet. Don't be surprised if you have a few false starts or if you have a tail on the goblet." He tells the students, "Here let me show you."

Picking up a cage off counter he reaches in and removes the gecko. Then taking a slight step to side so the students can see, he displays the motion and in a firm voice says, "Transmorgify." The gecko seems to give off a small puff of smoke and then you see a goblet. It is green color and has red designs almost exactly like the gecko did.

Lissy concentrates on her gecko a water goblet in mind, waves her wand as told "a downward quick slash that ended with her wand pointed at the gecko." as she said "transmorgify".

The professor made it look so easy!
Lissy is still has a look of concern on her features.

Dru puts her Gecko on the table. "Sorry little fella," she said. She pointed her wand at her Gecko and said, "Transmorgify".
The Gecko didn't quite turn into a goblet as it still had its tail amost other things.
Dru put her hand up, "Professor, are the goblets supposed to have eyes?"

Xavier watches the professor do the charm. He turns to his gecko and says, "Here goes nothing. Transmorgify."

The gecko disapears and a goblet appears in front of Xavier. He's about to let out of cry of amazement when he realizes it has 4 legs. It quickly gets to it's feet and runs of the end of the table. It hits the floor hard and scuttles of towards the Professor's desk. "Accio Goblet!" Xavier crys out pointing his wand towards the moving object.

It flies back to his desk and he breathes a huge sigh of relief.
