Harmony listened attentively as she took down some notes. This was a very interesting lesson. |
Dave crumbled up his art paper and threw it on the ground. Yawning he put his feet on the desk one more time. He leaned back and closed his eyes breathing loudly. |
Ross was scribbling away on his parchment takeing down as many notes as he could. He listened clearly to the teachers disscussions and her answers to his fellow students questions. He raised his hand, "Professor Does St Mungos deal with muggles who have been hurt in a magical way?" |
Jade copied down the notes from the board, trying to ignore the senseless noise the Slytherin boy was making. |
Vishu copied down what was on the board and looked up when she heard the Slytherin boy ask the question. She turned to the Professor to hear her answer. |
Serena wrote down her notes, then raised her hand. "Professor, I have heard of muggles being treated at St. Mungo's before. If my memory serves me right, they have even reattached or regrown fingers on muggles that were unlucky enough to come into contact with muggle artifacts that were 'magically' enchanted to attack any muggle who handled them. Of course, they had to adjust their memories after they were treated to forget the incident, as well as their treatment at St. Mungo's." |
The class continued as it was, but the boy from before seemly was up to only represent some kind of parody of the Slytherin House. With an irritated from at the boy's actions, Nadia raised her hand again and addressed the professor, "Professor Virohsa, may I assist you if you decide to remove my house mate Dave from class?" she offered, her eyes turning again to glare at the boy as she finished. |
::Lauren tried to ignore Nadia's comment even though she knew Dave was being a pain. She was just trying to ignore everything in the class room except the teacher. :: |
Ross sits and listens to his fellow peers but awaits the Professors Answer to his question. he twiddles his quill in his fingers to amuse himself. |
Martha writes down the notes that appear on the board and waits patiently for the Professor to continue. |
Professor Virohsa was about to take more points away from Slytherin when Nadia spoke. "Very well, dear. You are excused. Please take him out of my classroom!", she said severely. She waited for them to leave to continue the lesson. |
Nadia nodded as a type of bow and then stood, walking over to the boy and gesturing and half dragging the guy outside. Mind, she would prefer not using force since, sure thing, the guy could walk alone without aid. She only took him by the arm to escort him only to make her way quickly outside and just to make sure he wasn't going anywhere. Finally they were out of the room, closing the door behind. |
Erica looked down at her parchment and copied down the outline on the blackboard. She had noticed the Slytherin boy making all the trouble and was inwardly torn between cheering him on and wishing he would shut up. She decided on the latter, realizing that nothing would get done while interruptions were present. She waited for the professor to continue on with the lesson. |
:: Lauren felt her cheeks flush with imbarrasment as Nadia drug Dave out of the room. She looked at the board and waited for the teacher to answer her question.:: |
Martha doodles on her parchment, annoyed with the interruption that Dave had caused. Sighing quietly, she waits for the situation to sort itself out. |
Laurasia rubbed her temples in an effort to stop the headache that was building in her head. She simply could not understand what was wrong with some students. Was it so hard to attend class & actually learn something? Wasn't that what attending the school was for? She couldn't believe that he had just lost the house 10 points by deliberately acting in such a manner. "Why is there always someone eager to make the rest of us Slytherins look bad?" she thought to herself. Her eyes lit up when she heard Nadia's request & the professors reply. "Thank you! Now we can continue." her mind was screaming. She wanted to hug Nadia right then & there. She decided that she would have to thank the older Slytherin in some way back at the Common Room later on. |
Professor Virohsa's expression changed slightly now that the boy was out. "Now, class. Let's continue. To answer your questions, no there is no secret chamber. And yes, St. Mungo's treats muggles who have been attacked or have suffered from magical injuries. I assume there are no other questions, so I will continue..", she gave the class a small smile. "The Ministry of Magic. Who can tell me about it?", she asked curiously. |
Martha raises her hand and says, "The Ministry of Magic is the governing body of the magical community of Britain, succeeding the earlier Wizards' Council. It is implied that other countries have their own Ministries of Magic. The job of the Minister for Magic seems to include executive, legislative and judicial functions. The Ministry has seven departments and many minor offices, to deal with different aspects of the wizarding world. The British Ministry of Magic is based in an underground location beneath London. How - or whether - the Ministry of Magic reports to the Prime Minister is unknown, although he is apparently aware of its existence." Martha puts her hand down and waits for others to respond. |
Bam slipped into the room as quietly as possible so as to not disturb Professor Virohsa. He realized they were talking about the Ministry of Magic and thought of what he knew of it and he put his hand in the air. "The Ministry of Magic is also where Wizengamot trials are held. However the Wizengamot is only for huge cases such as Unforgivable Curses: Avada Kedavara, Imperious Curse, or the Crucio curse. Just as Martha said, the Ministry of Magic is "led" by the Minister of Magic and I've read that a few past Ministers haven't been very reliable." Bam said, excited for his first lesson. Now, back to notes! He looked around. I thought there would be more students answering..... Bam thought. |
Nadia returned to the classroom, closing the door behind. Taking her previous spot, silently sat back at the desk. She didn't know what was being dicussed right now so she only waited until the professor would address the class again with a new question. |
Olivia was sitting by Nadia and just sat there scribbling on her paper as everyone else took down notes. She really loved school so decided to listen VERY attentively. |
jean raises her hand and answeres a question for the first time "The Ministry of Magic is located somewhere just below the surface of downtown London. To get to the Ministry, you must head for an old shabby telephone booth down in a small graffiti filled alleyway. Once you get inside the booth, pick up the receiver, hold it above your head, and dial 6 - 2 - 4 - 4 - 2. After this you will get the receptionist. She first tells you to state your name and business. Then after you tell that, you will get small silver badges that tell your name and business to get into the Ministry. You are then told, if you are a visitor, to submit to a search and present your wand for registration at the security desk, which is the at the far end of the Atrium. Then the telephone booth goes down like an elevator to the Atrium. The Atrium is a very long and splendid hall with a highly polished, dark wood floor." |
not quiet sure how to answer the question she just took notes. |
Llewellyn raised his hand, "The Ministry of Magic is responsible for maintaining order wihtin the British magical community. It doesn't appear to have all of the same powers as the companion non-wizarding government, which is logical when a person considers the relative size of the wizarding community to the surrounding non-wizarding community." |
Bam didn't know what else to say. Why does everyone say Prof. Virohsa is snappish? She's nice! Whats up with that?! Bam thought. Bam just sat there till Prof. Virohsa returned. |
