Martha 05-31-2005 02:58 AM

Martha takes out her parchment, quills, and ink and waits for the professor to continue.

Xavier pulls out some parchment and quills and readies himself or the teacher to begin.

:: Lauren sitting in the back of the room did as the professor said. She took out everything to take notes and so on. She yawned and put her head down on her desk still looking at the teacher. ::

Professor Virohsa nodded as none of the children had any questions. "Good! Before we begin I want to make sure everyone knows what the different organizations are. Let's begin with St. Mungo's. Anyone care to offer any information regarding this organization?", she said as she walked around the room.

ooc- Please remember not to spam. I'm still sick with a bad cold and I really don't want to have to delete your posts because you were spamming -- it will give me a terrible headache plus. I will continue to ask questions as I feel better. Thanks ;)

Llewellyn raised his hand and waited to be called, "St. Mungo's is the main ministry approved hospital in charge of treating patients with all ranges of serious maladies. It is also one of the few places in the United Kingdom equipped to deal with patients with magical mental illnesses, I think."

demented_death_eater 05-31-2005 04:11 AM

Kay raised her hand. "St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries is the wizarding hospital located behind the facade of the Muggle department store, Purge & Dowse Ltd., in London. The hospital treats a wide assortment of injuries and maladies, including potion and plant poisonings."

La La 05-31-2005 05:27 AM

:: Lauren quickly rose her hand in the air. " St. Mungo's Hospital is a Hospital for Wizards and Witches only. No muggles are treated there. It is also a pernament home for some who have lost all memory of their life that they lived. They treat all kinds magical problems, like potion problems, injurys caused by animals, injurys caused by wizards and witches, and injurys caused by dark magic. " Lauren paused for a second. " I think that is all and if I didn't get it right it was worth the try. What do I have to lose. " she put her hand down and waited for the professors reply to the class.::

groovychick 05-31-2005 10:30 AM

Sarah raised her hand, "St Mungos is based in London and was founded in the late 1500s by Mungo Bonham. It's emblem is a crossed bone and wand and the healers wear lime green robes. And I think it has six floors in total."

Martha 05-31-2005 02:20 PM

Since her mother worked at St. Mungo's Martha raises her hand and delivers a very detailed answer, "St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries is the wizarding hospital of Britain. Doctors at the hospital are not called doctors, but are known as Healers. They wear lime-green robes. To become a Healer, a Hogwarts student must have N.E.W.T.s of at least grade E (Exceeds Expectations, second highest possible grade) in the subjects of Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Herbology and Defence Against the Dark Arts. St. Mungo's is located in London. To enter the premises, one has to step through the window of what appears to be a derelict department store called Purge and Dowes Ltd. This acts as a magical gateway to the main building, very much like the magical barrier at King's Cross railway station on Platform 9 and 3/4. The exteriors of the hospital are red-bricked and dirty, which is the complete opposite of the interiors. Inside, everything is very neat and looks exactly as a hospital should. There are six floors:
* Ground Floor. Reception (where a plump, blonde witch greets you as you enter) and Artifact Accidents
* Floor 1. Creature-Induced Injuries
* Floor 2. Magical Bugs and Diseases
* Floor 3. Potion and Plant Poisoning
* Floor 4. Spell Damage
* Floor 5. Tea Rooms and Hospital Shop
St. Mungo's was founded by Mungo Bohnam, the famous Healer, in the 1600's. The exact date is unknown. St. Mungo's emblem is a magic wand crossed with a bone."

cherabela 05-31-2005 02:34 PM

Cherry quickly starts taking down notes, as a tirade of answers ensue the Professor's question.

moi_janel 05-31-2005 04:02 PM

Calista was busy taking down notes while others answered. Whew! Great answers!

william.cook1990 05-31-2005 05:27 PM

Xavier raises his hand. "It's the Wizarding Hospital in London," he starts. "They deal in multiple things."

"Including scars and burns," he thinks to himself.

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 05-31-2005 05:49 PM

Raising her hand, "Adding to what Martha said, there's not only Healers but also Medi-Wizards. Their work is practically the same though Healers have more authority and Medi-Wizards are many time sent to help rather than attend in their own place of work. But regardless of that, the task it St. Mungo's is, as said, help people. In the area of poisoning and potions would be where the uses of plant knowledge would be most needed. However, Herbology also come in handy to create anestesia from plants like the Sky Blue Lagoon Nemesia's scent and Dremuni plants and could be used in virtually every area. Antidotes, would-cleaning potions, cathartics... but I might be going a little ahead of myself."

Nadia finally lowered her hand, feeling like she had rambled.

Aschere_Tonks 05-31-2005 06:15 PM

Oh my.
Aschere noted down the points in sequence and wondered if werewolves would be lodged in the first floor..

:: Lauren put her head down on the desk still looking at the teacher. She waited quitely for her reply. ::

GothDude 06-01-2005 03:19 AM

: Dave walked into the room. He stopped and looked around the room. " Oh has class already started. So sorry Professor. I'll just take my seat now. " he walked to the back of the classroom and winked at Lauren while he sat down beside her, in the back. :

Professor Virohsa nodded as she heard various answers. As the students gave their answers, the blackboard made an outline of what had already been said.

After the words appeared in one of the blackboards, Professor Virohsa turned to the class. "3 pts for Llew, 4 pts for Sarah, 4 pts for Martha, and 3 pts for Nadia". She didn't give the other students points because they were repeating the information given previously.

She turned to Nadia with interest as she was connecting Herbology to St. Mungo's and was about to make a comment when she was rudely interrupted by a student barging in.. late for class.

Her eyes narrowed at the boy. "What do you think this is?!", she questioned him in an irritated voice. "Of course the class already started! Did you fall asleep, boy?", she said impatiently. "You're disrespecting your professor and your fellow students when you come late to class! I hope you are following Hogwarts Code of Conduct. And to make sure you do so, I shall take 10 pts from Slytherin!", she said in a very, very irritated voice. If something certainly irritated her it was when students broke rules in her class.

La La 06-01-2005 06:59 AM

:: Lauren looked at Dave astonished and went back to looking at the teacher and taking notes.::

GothDude 06-01-2005 07:01 AM

:: Dave looked at the teacher. He propped his feet on the desk and crossed his arms and turned to Lauren. " So are we doing anything tonight?" he asked her smiling. ::

fr2nc1z 06-01-2005 07:05 AM

Professor Virohsa looked at the boy start talking during class. "Be quiet! You are not here to chat! For that I shall take another 10 pts from Slytherin", she said warningly. "Another word from you and I want you out of this classroom immediately!"

La La 06-01-2005 07:10 AM

:: Lauren looked at Dave. She quickly rose her hand in the air. " Professor, may I please move to the front. I don't want to make Hufflepuff lose points and Slytherin to lose more than they already have. " she said looking sternly at Dave and waiting for the professor's reply.::

fr2nc1z 06-01-2005 07:12 AM

Professor Virohsa nodded as the girl raised her hand. "Yes, you may dear. Please move quickly and quietly", she nodded as she kept her eyes on the Slytherin boy.

La La 06-01-2005 07:18 AM

:: Lauren gathered her stuff quickly and walked quickly to the front of the class and sat down. " Thank you professor. " she said curtising to the professor. It was a habbit to do that now when she said thank you. She wrote down the notes on the board. She rose her hand agian. " Professor, is there any sort of chambers or secret passage ways in St. Mungo's?" she asked politely.::

GothDude 06-01-2005 07:21 AM

Dave watched Lauren leave to go to the front. He yawned and pulled out some parchment. He started drawing on it making loud scratcy noises with his quill.
