"Lee, do you want to work with me?" Sarah asked him turning around and taking her wand out of her pocket and reaching into her bag to get her gloves.

Unidentified101 05-21-2005 11:28 PM

Jamie looked down to see gloves below her and she put on some gloves and she pulled out her wand and sat it on the table and looked around for a partner. I wonder who I shall work with today?

Toro 05-21-2005 11:33 PM

Llewellyn stood up and after grabbing a pair of gloves and a pitcher, walked over and ste the down at a station near Nadia. He then left and returned with a plant, having decided to go it alone this lesson.

Leeness 05-21-2005 11:34 PM

"sure Sarah" Lee said delighhted to have a partner. He set off to find his own gloves and turned to the professor "well are you going to answer my question?"

Lee asked curious.

Professor Virohsa looked at the boy severely. "No wonder you don't remember what we covered last class, boy. You were asleep then. So I shall repeat myself. Muggles do not want to acknowledge what they see most of the time. And in such cases in which there is no other excuse, the Ministry of Magic intercedes and places memory charms.. as well as repelling charms on such magical creatures or plants", she explained as the class kept pairing up.

Unidentified101 05-21-2005 11:36 PM

Jamie went in front of the classroom and got a plotted plant and a pitcher of water and sat them both down gently on the table and waited for further instructions on the assignment they were working on.

As she observed the children's behavior, she noticed that an ingredient was missing in their tables. It was then that she noticed that she had failed to distribute the mineral in powdered form. She walked over to the left tray and started distributing small puches of the blue sand to every table. "The first thing you shall do, is mix the mineral in the water. Make sure it has a consistent and very bright blue color", she explained as she finished distributing it.

groovychick 05-21-2005 11:41 PM

Sarah walked to the front of the room and collected a pitcher of water and a plant. She then headed back to her desk being careful not to drop anything and put them down on the table.

babydriver27 05-21-2005 11:42 PM

Erica gathered the things the professor had required, not really caring if she wanted to go at it alone or with a partner. She figured someone could ask her if they really needed a partner. She set all the materials on the table she was sitting at and waited for further instructions.

fr2nc1z 05-21-2005 11:47 PM

Professor Virohsa looked at the children and frowned. Repeating herself, she again stated, "Please start mixing the mineral I supplied in the already slightly colored water!", she said coldly. "Make sure it is very, very blue", she added.

Unidentified101 05-21-2005 11:49 PM

Jamie picked up the mineral and put all of it in the pitcher and started stirring it continuly until her arm started hurting and she looked down into the pitcher and saw that the was was very blue and she then waited for further instructions from the Professor.

groovychick 05-21-2005 11:49 PM

Sarah picked up the pouch and poured the contents slowly into the jug. She watched as the water turned blue and continued adding the minerals until the water was very, very bright.

Toro 05-21-2005 11:52 PM

Llewellyn picked up the sand and poured it into the water, he then began to mix it, all the while wondering if it was really sand. Afterall, the muggle in him thought, sand is silica, and that won't dissolve in water now will it? It would need to be a polar...He trailed off into his thoughts slowly mixing the sand, and staring around the room at the other students. I wonder how many of them think about these things... He thought.

babydriver27 05-21-2005 11:52 PM

Noting the icy cold tone in the professor's voice, Erica grabbed her packet and mixed it in the water. It took a few good minutes to get the water to the desired color. She looked around at the other students mixtures to see if she had done it correctly.

Leeness 05-21-2005 11:53 PM

"hmmmm" Lee said looking at the mixture "it certainly appears you have done it correct, well done! is Herbology your favourite subject then?" Lee asked Sarah while he waited for the next instruction.

crasyboy42 05-21-2005 11:56 PM

timmy was very nervous so he tried pyutting only a pinch in at a time after je saw another student finish. the waterm s;pw;ty but shurly turned a birght bright blue "wow" he thought

Arkee Maldemer 05-21-2005 11:58 PM

Pouring the contents of the pouch carefully into her pitcher, Arkee picked up a stirring rod and began to mix the minerals into the water.

Staring apprehensively into the obviously blue water, Arkee muttered, "I suppose this is not a good time to be colourblind. Is this blue?" she asked the people around her.

crasyboy42 05-21-2005 11:59 PM

hrmm i wonder why the water was coloured slightly when we got it timmy thought to him self"ma'am may i ask why the water was coloured when we got it does that hacve something to do with the blue sabnd desoulving??"

groovychick 05-22-2005 12:04 AM

Sarah turned to Lee as the rest of the class added their blue sand to their water, "I think so, it's interesting and you do a lot of pratical work, not just theory and stuff out of books."

babydriver27 05-22-2005 12:06 AM

Satisfied that her water was the correct color, Erica set it to the side and waited for further instructions.

fr2nc1z 05-22-2005 12:08 AM

Professor Virohsa smiled as she walked around. "Very good Sarah! I hope you become a good influence for this poor child", she said as she looked at Lee.

She then continued to walk around and stopped when she saw Timmy's pitcher. "Well, boy. Put all of it in. Go ahead", she said casually.

She then keep moving and looking at the different pitchers. Smiling, she walked to the middle of the class and said, "Now, the point of the following exercise is to teach you to pay attention to detail and how the most wonderful and selfish plants behave."

Smiling, she added, "Now, for the hard part. I want you to cast the Lumos charm on the plant. But do not give it too much sun. It has had enough as it is. I want you to note absolutely everything you can about it and its effect on you. Also, feel free to start experimenting with the pitcher of blue water. Keep in mind that these plants will start to discolor and die if they feel your attention has decreased. They are aware they are in a different environment and will try to act as selfishly as they can".

ooc- Too much sun at this point, I'm afraid will kill your plant. In fact, 99% of your plants will die if you do not give them 100% of your attention So don't be afraid to kill it. You will just get yelled at, but you can grab another plant. That is perfectly fine. I will stop here and continue on tomorrow. I'm leaving the thread open because I want you to interact with your partner and your plant. I will reward those who interacted correctly.
Also be warned, DO NOT SPAM. I will delete any spam comments and not give you any credit for them. All posts should strictly relate to the plant, the dying of your plant, you taking notes about its effect, and your newly obtained plant.

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 05-22-2005 12:10 AM

Pushing aside the problem of her wand, Nadia attended the professor instructions and took the pitcher, now handed the mineral powder she was quite ready to begin. She then mixed the content of the bag inside the pitcher with water and watched it disolve since she couldn't really spoon it to it. She added carefully the needed quantity to turn it bright blue, then shook the pitcher a little to be quick the mixing, then moved to her plant. The Sky Blue Lagoon Nemesia was looking rather lacking of color even thought it was still quite blue. Nadia poured the water very slowly and on the soil directly just not to wet the leaves.

Now how to do the second part, the lighting, without any wand? It occurred to her she could summon the wand to her reach to spare herself from standing to reach a window of the greenhouse and loose more time. However, she hadn't any wand to summon her wand!

Nadia rubbed her temples with a sudden movement un-perched the lost item, the wand, which flew to the floor. Hearing the sound of wood aganist the floor and wondering where the laying wand on the floor came from, Nadia stood to lean and pick it up, passing by the table of the Hufflepuff girl Arkee and telling her, "It's blue enough."

Professor Virohsa noticed the girl had no wand out. She walked over to her and commented, "If you forgot your wand dear, please use a sun lamp.. Keep in mind those sun lamps are extremely hot. So you might want to place them far away from your plant".

Toro 05-22-2005 12:14 AM

Llew groaned. Wonderful...Charms...Just what I'm good at. He thought to himself. "Erm...Lumo...Lumos" He called and waved his wand, a rather weak light appeared near the plant. The flower turned a rather pitiful shade of dark blue and appeared to almost be flailing around.

Unidentified101 05-22-2005 12:18 AM

Jamie grabbed the pitcher and she put 1/4 of the water into the plant hopping that it wasn't too much. So then she got her wand out of her bag and she concentrated fully on the plant and she then said, "Lumos" powerfully and then the light became rather bright so she help her wand a lightly further away so the plant wouldn't get too much light. She then noticed that the plants color deeped and the aroma started to become heavy.

Arkee Maldemer 05-22-2005 12:25 AM

"Oh, thank you!" Arkee exclaimed to the Slytherin girl who passed by, after casting the Lumos charm on her plant. "Now I know it's safe to do this..." She poured some blue water into her plant. The plant began to shrivel in a pathetic manner.

"Or not..." Arkee completed her earlier thought. "Pleeeease don't die?" she asked her plant, almost begging. "I'll give you lots of nice nutrients, plenty of sun, and I'll pay lots of attention to you!"

The flowers turned away from her dramatically, in what can only be described as a dissatisfied diva ignoring her fearful attendant.

"Wait, I know!" Arkee exclaimed, and turned from her plant, rummaging through her book bag. "I'll take a picture of you, and that way you'll know I've been paying attention to you!"

Having found her camera, Arkee turned to her plant, which had already died and flopped tragically onto the desk.

"Drama queen," she muttered, despite her sadness, and went to fetch another plant.

Professor Virohsa observed her work for a while. "Please child, add some water to it", she explained. "The water will make them.. happier"
