"Professor," she said calmly giving Virohsa a confused look. " He watered his plant and then I told him to feed it. Maybe he over fed the plant causing it to choke and there for it died," she said almost getting to tears. She hated being the certain of attenion when it came to bad things. |
"I don't know what happened, maybe I'm just bad in Herbology..." He said looking down. Last year the didn't take Herbology, it was fun but hard. |
"Mithos," she said looking at him. "You aren't bad, you just need to pay mort attenion to what the directions," she said giving a smile and turning to look back at the professor, |
Professor Virohsa nodded as she looked at Mithos carefully. "Then perhaps, we shall schedule some extra lessons that will help you focus boy", she nodded. "Meet me after class", she gave them a serious look. She then turned her attention to the rest of the class. "Very well. Put your plants to the side. We're going to start discussing what we saw today." ooc- I will continue posting in this thread tomorrow. Behave ;) |
Raven looked at Mithos and sighed. "After class I might as well help you with cleaning up the gloves that you called dirty," she quickly snapped and levitated her pot with the plant in it back towards the tray. She sighed and took a seat. Reviewing her notes she couldn't dare face Mithos aftet having made the Professor giving more time being devoted to school work. |
Lee was sitting in the back of the classroom as always in his lessons now a days. He never sat anywhere near his teachers anymore, he found them all to be untrustworhty and cold hearted. Lee sat and watched as the Professor went on about 'plants', Lee couldn't really care less what plants had to do with anything, he let out a big yan and continued to watch almost falling asleep. |
Raven looked at the Profesor as she was already seated waiting for the Professor to begin dicussing what just happened. |
Professor Virohsa looked at Raven carefully. "Unless you want to participate in his detention, I would suggest you dont!", she snapped. "But ah, perhaps you feel it is your duty to help your house, is that right?" It was then when she saw a Hufflepuff boy yawning. Keeping a close eye on him, she continued with her lesson. "Theories. What do you think your plant was telling you when it hummed?" |
Ron looked around, getting a little bit bored. He looked over at Raven, nodding at her, then waiting for the professor to begin. |
Raven raised her hand. 'Maybe the plant was telling us the owner or gardener that they berry's are going to go or that they are ready to be picked. But it could also reflect upon their emotions since they do happen to change colors frequently." |
Lee raised his hand "that it liked the treatment we were giving it?" Lee answered bored out of his mind. "probably right answer, i know i would appreciate any treatment if i had to stay with her" Lee muttered. |
Professor Virohsa looked at the girl and shook her head. "We have already covered that, girl. Let me give you a hint.. the humming has nothing to do with the colors", she explained. She looked around the room. "Any other theories?" |
Raven hand dropped and sighed. She thought "if it isn't the berries ready for picking, or the fact that they aren't happy or sad. Then it wouldn't reflect upon their emotions. Maybe it was external with the plant." She raised her hand once more and tried. "Could happen to do with their syrup?" |

As she was about to move on, she heard Lee's muttered comment. "Treatment staying with whom, boy?", she asked as her eyes narrowed. |
Llewellyn raised his hand as his own plant was humming softly to him, "Professor could the plant be trying to convey pleasure, pain, or thirst? Perhaps trying to tell its handler to add more water, fertilizer, etc.?" |
Lee groaned, she had heard him, this was bad. He could tell her straight or he could extend it so she figured it out for herself "do you really need me to answer that Professor? you subject may just be about 'plants' but common-sense is something most of us are born with, and supposedly the ministry are supposed to be filled with it." Lee answered back. |
Raven smiled as the Professor gave athe answer. We had dicussed this earlier she said almost feeling the urge to slap herself. She shrugeed and wrot ethe answer down in her notes. |
Professor Virohsa nodded. "Yes, the syrup is what the product we usually want. So that is partially correct." She then looked at Llewellyn and grinned slightly. "It does convey something.. and unfortunately, it is not those things. Those things are conveyed differently. The plant is conveying trust." "For giving me partial answers that hinted to the right place, I will award you both, for being excellent rule followers while giving partially true answers, 1 pt each", she nodded. Her attention turned back to Lee. |

Llew shot Lee a rather sinister look, and made a mental note to speak with him after class. Resigning himself to Hufflepuff's fate as the ever last house, Llew continued writing notes as his plant's colors softened. |
Kay wrote down Professor Virohsa's answers down on her lengthy page of detailed notes. As she wrote, she could hear the soft humming sound coming from her plant. |
"hmm respct, i do believe i have hjeard that word because i was bored to death with it in History of Magic which has nothing to do with that subject at all. It appears the ministry are slackining" Lee gave two sarcastic tuts "i will apologise when i see fit but right now if you excuse me i need a nap" Lee rested his head on his books and closed his eyes gently with an evil smirk on his face. The Professor wasnt the only one who could play an evil game. |
Professor Virohsa's eyes widened in shock. She had never seen such despicable and continuing behavior. "20 points from Hufflepuff! I will take more if I have reason to believe you have not been getting the recommended hours of sleep!", she snapped. "Child, if you do not behave, you will spend your time in detention!", she warned. |
Raven mouthed dropped open and closed. It was just smarter to stay calm and not talk only when it would seem intelligent of her to speek. |
A look of shock appeared on Kay's face. What was Lee thinking? She stole a glance of Professor Virohsa's outraged expression and then quickly diverted her attention back to her softly humming plant. |
