Llewellyn cringed at the thought of the innocent looking yet deadly niffler in the cage noticing one of his classmate's shiny fillings and digging through their mouth like a ravenclaw through a bookcase...Lucky for me, my filling is a polymer. He thought to himself, taking notes of what Perry said. |
Jenna grimaced at the thought of having a once-adorable looking niffler suddenly gnawing at your knuckles. She raised her hand. "Sir," she began, "Are nifflers fast? To be able to manage into your mouth to remove a filling or even begin crawling up your arm to bite an earring would be a need for a quick creature. Is this true?" |
Annie took notes, with her chin propped on the palm of her hand, slightly agitated. *We should have to be called on so it's fair.* Annie thought to herself. |
Raven smiled finally for today. "Finger being bit off,"she mubbled quietly and wrote that comment down in her notes. That gave Raven to many idea's to use againts her enemy's. She looked at the Professor who continued his lecture while raven picked up her quill once more and begin to write down the back affects of a Niffler and how to use them badly. "I wonder if they are poisonus," she thought to herself. |
Perry looked doubtfully at the animal in the cage. "Erm... no. No, they aren't particularly fast. They're not slow, but they have no additional magical speed. Are there any more questions?" He looked at the class before turning to go behind his desk to retrieve his wand. |
Erica couldn't help but be somewhat skeptical at Perry's comment about a niffler going after someone's fillings. She raised her hand. "Professor, I can understand it when you say a niffler could pose a danger to someone with a watch or a ring but a filling? I find that kind of hard to believe. Is there any records of a niffler attacking someone for a filling?" |
Kay glanced over at the Gryffindor girl named Shante and gave her a cold, steely-eyed look. Before she could mouth a threat to the girl, she heard Mr. Perry speaking about the dangers of the animal. |
Jenna jotted that down. "Alright. Thanks, Professor. I was jsut curious." She felt relieved that, despite its viciousness, she may stand a chance unarmed if it's slow. |
"I thought no wands," she said inside her head while watching the Professor scarmble to get his wood. "No questions," she though impatiently. "Just teach old man and that way we can get on with our lives," she though cracking a smile on her face as she watched him contiune. |

Perry looked sharply at Erica before he shook his head. "There are no specific records of someone being attacked by a niffler for their filling, but that doesn't mean that it couldn't happen. And you never know what a niffler in the wild might be capable of. I bet there are loads of unrecorded niffler attacks that occurred in the wild." He nodded firmly. |
Kay watched Mr. Perry's every move with intense curiosity. Why is he reaching for his wand if the niffler is still in it's cage? |
Jenna seemed to be caught in a crossfire of angry glares and cold glances. None of them in particular were towards her, but everyone in here seemed to find someone particularly irritating. She sunk down in her chair a little, and occupied herself by scribbling notes, although most of them were jibberish. Maybe I should raise my hand less often. she thought. If I answer too many correct, I may be the hate of the class soon enough. She didn't particularly want that, and sunk even lower in her chair. |
Erica nodded at Perry's answer before going back to her notes. Such a sharp look for a question, she thought. I'm just trying to learn, Perry. And you are the teacher. She shook her head and looked back up at the niffler, waiting for the next part of the lesson. |
Llewellyn stared at the niffler, somehow since Perry began explaining the creature's rabid, vile nature Llew began to notice how truly horrible of a monster it truly was. He narrowed his eyes at it, thinking he could actually see the creature salivating, looking back at one of the girls' earrings. Truly evil. He thought to himself. |
Perry held up his wand and pushed back his long sleeves. "Now, class, I'm going to teach you a very important spell that is used by specially trained wizards to get drive away nifflers. It's really a miraculous little spell, but if I ever hear that you've used this spell in the school, you will be immediately expelled. Do you understand?" |
Jenna gulped. She nodded, a silent understanding, and gripped her wand once more. She sat up a little in her chair, since most of the eyes were back on the niffler or Perry, as opposed to one another. |
Shante nudged the Gryffindor next to her, a girl she didn't know, and smiled. She was looking a little glum, and was sinking really low into her chair. Then looked over at the Niffler in it's cage and thought. How CUTE! but nervously played with her jewlery, and ended up taking it all off. |
Jenna looked up at the gryffindor girl who had nudged her. Did I see her on the train? She looked vaguely familiar. Ah well. She smiled at her and followed suit, taking off her earrings. I picked today to wear jewlery. She thought to herself. |
Kay nodded in response to Mr. Perry's question about the spell. She sat back in her seat and folded her arms. Now I can't wait to see this, she thought as she kept her full attention on the niffler. |
Erica nodded along with the rest of the class. The sooner, the better because she wanted to get out of here badly. She couldn't stand the subpar teaching method and how they were treated like they were going to blow up the school. |
Annie raised her hand, "Sir?" She waited to be called on instead of blurting out her question. |
Perry raised his wand and began to wave it when a hand waving caught his eye. "Yes?" he looked at the Ravenclaw named Annie. |
Annie asked her question, "Sir, if your not wearing any jewelry to begin with, then you don't have anything to worry about right? I read somewhere that Nifflers can be 'nice and even sometimes affectionate'. So why not just take off your jewelry?" She smiled at the Professor innocently. |
it was Jenna's turn to spare an icy glare. I stopped to get the lesson started. Just go already! She hated disliking a teacher, and it wasn't that she dislike Professor Perry. But he had the authority to say "Hey, let's start I'll get back to you later." She glared at the Ravenclaw with a look of mild disgust. |
