Lauren walked into the clasroom and took a seat. She smiled at the other students near her.

Hello to students new and old!

This isn't really a lesson, just kind of a get to know you, the first proper lesson will begin in a few days, but as always I'm interested in what you would like to learn.

If you have any suggestions on what you would like to cover this year, please speak up! We had some fantasic suggestions last year and had 3 great lessons just based on what the students wanted to do (plus a few teacher based fun ones) so make your suggestion known. Either post it right here or PM it to me with your homework.

So I can get to know you all, I would like you to PM me along with your name, house and member number these few questions, and maybe a bit about yourself if you would like.

It is worth 10 points and you have 3 days to hand it in, so get in and help out your house!

Martha sees Cherry heading her way and smiles. She moves her bag out of the chair next to her to make room for her.

Nadia raised her hand somewhat curiously, "Will we be study something today or will it be all about arranging for next classes?" Meanwhile she tried to think of something to suggest about. Quite lacking of ideas that one day.

Zekk looks at the questions and thinks.
"Will all of the classes be taking place late at night? I'm just wondering because of the whole 8 hour sleep rule." Zekk asks, since the professor asked for questions.

Martha writes down the homework and decides to leave the room, glad that class was short since it was already late.

Tao walks in and sees Marth, she heads over and nods her way. She quickly writes down the homework and thinks, "Oh, 10 points!" She was so proud of her house right now any ways that she knew she had to keep them in the lead.

Serena wrote down the questions and started quickly jotting down her answers. She couldn't help but look over at the cabinet that used to hold lollies for the students. She would love to have a strawberry or blueberry one right about now.

Roma walked into the Astonomy tower and wrote down the homework. She couldn't wait to get started. Astronomy was her favorite subject!

Tania Hanson, who was sitting near her fellow first year Hufflepuff-Calista, was so excited that her Astronomy classes were finally starting. This was the one class she had been looking forward to the most since coming to Hogwarts.
She began to write down the questions to her homework, excited to start and earn points for her beloved house.

i cant believe im late!

Valan walked into the room and sat at a table. She got out a piece of parchment and ink and quill and started drawing.

Justin took a seat next to Roma. He pulled out a piece parchment and a quill to write down the homework assignment.

Astoria took a seat near Roma and Justin and wrote the homework down.

Seeing she had already sent a note with her homework and still with her hand up, Nadia also added, "I have a new suggestion. Don't know if it's exactly something to study in Astronomy but... I was wondering, why some incantations/potions/magical ceremonies needed for the stars, planets and just the night sky in general to be in a certain way or position to make them work? Just... have been wondering that for too long and wondered if we could have some study of it some time."

No, just introducing and brainstorming today.

All of the theory lessons will be held during the day as per the new school rules.

I really don't, that's something you would have to ask the potions master. I think its pretty unclear as to why some potions require the stars to be present... I like that mysterious part to magic...

Kiersten walked in and took a seat next to her fellow students, avidly listening to the professor while pulling out a quill and parchment to write down the homework.

Diana writes down the homework on her parchment assignment book. Astronomy has always been one of her favourite subject.

Nadia nods at the professor, breathing a small sigh. She had asked Divination and they pointed Astronomy. Now she asks Astronomy and they point Potions. And she was pretty sure if she was to ask Potions she would be directed to Astronomy and Divination instead, if she hadn't already... point was, she still had no answer... Well, she supposed, she could ask other Professors even if their knowledge didn't involve those themes, like Ancient Runes or such... They dealt with ancient magic, stars-positioning, didn't it?

That settled and with that helpful answer, now Nadia had to brainstorm it seemed. Yet... planets, suns, black holes, constellations, historical figures... hadn't they convered everything? Nadia rubbed the back of her head, trying to think of something but...

She raised her hand, "What about the aurora, light pollution and those types of phenomena?"

The class was not scheduled, so therefore not late. I just said it would start soon, whuch it did. Minus 10 points for being disrespectful.

It does seem a bit that way doesn't it, but I have some great ideas planned... some suggestions from the students too!

Drusilla writes the homeworks down, and starts immediately thinking about suggestions for this year´s classes. For some reason, her head is quite empty of the ideas.
