Dude That horrible Ministry Official.. who I have now dubbed Ms. Loathsome (lieden) is in love with our Headmaster... ugh. the drama!

SapphireMisty 03-01-2005 07:19 AM

*nods*Good thing my charac. didn't leave her (whatever) flower or else it would have suffered the "thrown into rubbish bins" wrath. Aww geez, the poor house elf. *goes crazy with fists* Curse you...you horrible...big dude.

Update:I think the SAMMO group is about to be busted at Prof. Bree's place- There's a poster w/ letter in post#154 to Leiden in Leiden's office, notified by Shwmae.
(-note: The poster rhymes nearly exactly with Team Rocket's motto from Pokemon, for those who knows about that anime. Yea, I know, it's just for fun. Drawing Shwmae and Borr to represent Jessie and James in the Team Rocket outfit, except that the 'R' is replaced by 'M',. Oh well, to bad there's no creatures that support them to say "___, that's right!" to represent Meowth)

In the meantime, the group's trying to cover it all up as a study group at Prof Bree's place in Shwmae's presence.

fr2nc1z 03-01-2005 01:42 PM

In the headmaster's thread, you see that Henrik used a spinning object on his table. Apparently, this spinning object with its lights had a magical effect on Miss Leiden. Miss Leiden confessed what she wanted to do as well as the fact that she was in love with Henrik.

ooc- Keep that chatting down. As it is my understanding, this thread will only tolerate facts of what happened. Consequently, any reaction or comment that you make is not acceptable. However, you can post these reactions in the LJ space for them.

Leeness 03-01-2005 06:23 PM

UPDATE ~ this may seem like old news but it has eventually happened, Leiden is now going to bring out Clause 127, which means she can replace the headmaster from his position.

RiddleofSlytherin 03-02-2005 12:32 AM

Update: Ganymede just detonated a huge mess of dung bombs and a swamp in Borr's office while the professor was taking Lee to detention.

Starbreeze 03-02-2005 05:11 AM

Update: Hendrik is no longer the Hogwarts Headmaster. Leiden has taken his position and will be our Headmistress untill they find a replacement or if he changes. You can see more about this here :Headmaster Hendrik's Office

Cassirin 03-02-2005 05:46 AM

I want to post this here really quickly since I am already seeing people talk about the HM being ousted in the school. Most of that converstaion took place within the office, so you wouldn't know any of the details. All you WOULD know is what Leiden told Riddle when she opened the door. Which isn't much and without HM Hendrik to confirm it, I'd take it with a grain of salt. Respond to this in the LJ.

Adyna Laurent 03-02-2005 03:56 PM

Update:- The Headmaster has now left the school. He has said he wont go far and he wont be gone long.

The only people IC who know this are Riddle, Airlia, Leiden and Hendrik. Soon all the staff will now as a notice has been posted but remember, even though OOC you can read it, IC you do not know of the change!

Professor Bree has been told in no uncertain terms to leave the school after breaching the terms of her suspension by teaching/tutoring a 'study' group. *COUGH*

Backslash 03-02-2005 06:27 PM

Update: Jaren knows, because Marcella and Airlia were talking about it and he was still in the room. He probably won't spread the information like wildfire, though.

The swamp and mess Ganymede left in Borr's office has been cleaned up.

This info will go in the first post for all to read.

Leeness 03-02-2005 08:23 PM

UPDATE ~ H/M Hendrik's replacement has finally arrived his name is Dubhghall Riddoc, which most of you guessed (he is in leidens office the now)

Backslash 03-02-2005 08:50 PM

Semi-random: Didn't Terry unleash a whole bunch of pixies in Leiden's office? How come nobody seems to have noticed?

EmmaRiddle 03-02-2005 09:45 PM

I wondered that too. I would've posted areaction to that on the behalf of a character but she already had a gazillion and one things to do. ^_^

Joy Miller 03-03-2005 01:24 AM

Haven't been back to my office yet. Reaction to follow.

Backslash 03-03-2005 01:40 AM

Yeah but, at least three people have supposedly been *in* your office and had no reaction (I think--unless they're waiting outside in the hall).

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 03-03-2005 01:47 AM

I will post this question and hope it doesn't fall into the cathegory of bothering "what's happening" question we all, including myself, hate, because I have read the thread of Bree's room over and over again and I find no post that says Shwmae had indeed closed the door and put a locking/silencing/impertubable charm. After all, Borr wouldn't have been able to come in, take Bree and then leave if the door had INDEED been closed. And therefore I don't think the spell is there to start with.

Yes, the owl still couldn't have entered since the door was shut (but not locked) but the letter could have, though the gap under the door, like the HP first-movie image, no? And evesdropping is possible even (though to some extent...) So my question is: Is there a Locking/whatisit charm in the door to start with, and if there is one, which post please?

Thanks in advance.

Joy Miller 03-03-2005 02:28 AM

I took care of it as best I could taking into account that really no one should have been able to get in there, but they did. And taking into account that no one noticed it. Sorry if I lessened the impact of someone's prank... oh, except I'm totally not really sorry. :)

She did shut the door but then Borr entered. I think it'd go without saying that he would've shut it - we all know what he's like.

The letter could have got in that way, but how it got in wasn't stated so the post couldn't be counted as legit without stating where and how it got there.

But the majority of the problem with that scene was there was too much posting when characters would have reacted to posts but were not given the chance cause they weren't online.

The thing that matters most is the scene is now ended. That was meant to be a subplot and it started snow-balling into a bigger one than it should've been and we staff really need to push on with the story, so we haven't got time to backtrack.

A new version of the Daily Prophet has come out:
Quote:

Toil & Trouble at the WizardingAcademy

Your friendly neighbourhood reporter has yet another set of scoops that will horrify and alarm you.

Our trusted Ministry Officials, who have so far had an extremely positive effect on the school, with grades improving greatly, have been forced to remove several of the staff at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

Why, you may ask

Allow me to astound and amaze you.

Professor Rae, who formerly taught Defence Against the Dark Arts has been ousted from her position for allowing He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named into the
HogwartsCastle, the previous term! Yes, that’s right! One of our very own so clearly acting disgracefully. Her actions led to the Dark Lord gaining access to the school and thus he was able to kill several students. It is also rumoured that she may have been a death-eater at some point and so has personal ties with You-Know-Who.

Professor’s Lainey, Airlia,
Phoenix and Riddle have all been suspended mysteriously due to their failure to protect the school in its time of need. While others were risking lives, getting wounded and even killed for their beloved establishment, this lot were in the Hospital Wing recovering from having restored the lives of former ghosts. It seems the staff at Hogwarts have their priorities all muddled up. Some would even call what they did, selfish and fraudulent.

To add insult to injury, we can also EXCLUSIVELY reveal that three of the above Professor’s have also been teaching using inappropriate, dangerous methods which WEREN’T pre-approved by the ministry!

Some of our older readers will remember the second opening of the Chamber of Secrets in Harry Potter's second year. Luckily, that time no deaths were caused, however several children were taken ill. It seems Professor Lainey ironically overlooked these facts when she took her class there. You'd have thought, being a History of Magic teacher, she'd be well aware of the dangerous consequences its previous two openings have had on the school. In fact, having studied the History of the School, she would have known this yet despite what happened before, she still took kids there. Some older readers may also remember that the only people able to open the chamber, were descendants of Salazar Slytherin himself. That leads us to believe that Professor Lainey must be a relative of the founder, which also implies that, like Rae, she may be in league with the Dark Lord. As a result of her recklass class trip, several students suffered from hallucinations, claiming they'd seen Harry Potter's ghost reinacting his last stand from when he died in the second magical war.

Professor Airlia, head of Potions, encouraged children as young as 11 to brew dangerous potions not even first year Aurors attempt to make and then had the audacity to test said potions on the vulnerable children. The impressionable youngsters did so, obediently following the orders of their insistent teacher and as a result it is rumoured now that some of the children are developing disturbing side effects – some have even grown extra limbs!

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Professor Riddle also taught unsafe classes, leading children of all ages into the
ForbiddenForest for lessons! She even had them approach and touch some of the creatures that dwell there! This is all despite the fact that several kids protested and appeared more than frightened of the prospect of going into such a dark, hazardous and forbidden area. Instead of listening to the concerns of her pupils, she forced them to walk on and as a result, some have been scarred for life after coming into contact with several brutal centaurs. The young Professor – who is only 19 (some may even question her suitability for teaching, at such a young and inexperienced age) – also took students INTO the lake where the Giant Squid, Kappas, Merepeople and other creatures besides, reside. Once again, the children protested, both because of the creatures and the fact that the water was below freezing but she threatened that they would fail if they did not do as she said. Not wanting to flunk their classes and have to explain their poor grades to their parents, they once again, obeyed her ridiculous commands. One child even developed hypothermia and several came down with pneumonia following the lesson. Clearly these Professors’s are unfit to teach, if they cannot even respond humanely to the cries for mercy from the little innocents they’re supposed to protect.

Following the suspension of these teachers, a minority group of students decided to try and rebel – obviously under the impression that the Professor’s they adored were actually innocent Ha! - With the help of ANOTHER Professor. That’s right! A teacher, Professor Bree, assisted these children in vandalising school property and encouraged them to disrespect and even abuse their social superiors. As a result, she too is currently suspended.

But never fear! The Ministry is well equipped to deal with these unfortunate, preventable mishaps and currently has several officials filling in for these teachers. So your children’s education will not suffer and hopefully, with their presence at the school, this term will be a much safer, satisfactory and productive one.

Also, Miss Shwmae has posted "A Message of Concern" (which was apparently posted some time ago and I just noticed)... So I took it out from here >.<

if you read there is a clue in there as to what might happen next:

Quote:

Professor’s Lainey, Airlia, Phoenix and Riddle
now this might be a typo, but it also might be true, maybe Professor Phoenix will get replaced. *thinks* by the way the clue is in bold, just to let you know :D

Bree WAS mentioned near the end of the article. And Phoenix was replaced for her role in last terms events only Roxanne, who plays her, has not been avaliable to RPG this term.

fr2nc1z 03-05-2005 10:35 PM

Riddok was going about the Staff Chambers, listening into conversations to report to Leiden.

Since Francis was sitting outside the door as she saw him walk by curiously, she decided she wanted to know if he was a Ministry Official and who he was replacing.. so she's following him.

Also, I posted a thread in LJ regarding Riddok's ability to listen in those protected conversations. So please go to LJ and reply!!! :shifty:

Actually... *hides* we were going to replace Phoenix and it is in our moddy threads that we were going to, but Leiden and company never actually DID. *hides again* If I remember correctly, we decided not to do it at the last minute because she wasn't around at that point. And then the Bree thing happened and she got replaced instead and...

Wow... too much info for the kiddies, perhaps.

Hermione_loves_Ron 03-05-2005 10:58 PM

Hm... so... then, are we pretending then that Phoenix has been replaced or that she hasnt yet?

Cassirin 03-05-2005 11:06 PM

Hasn't been replaced. May or may not be replaced depending upon the RP and upon Rox's schedule. *pets her* Either way... there are bigger fish to fry.
