What in Merlin's Beard is going on?! (Term 8)

"I step away from my computer for (two minutes/half an hour/three hours/a day) and suddenly when I get back, something really weird happened and nobody will tell me, and I don't want to go through like, (10/15/100) new posts just to find out what! Tell me now! Somebody! Anybody! HEEEELLLLP!"

Sound familiar? Do not dispair, this thread is here to help you catch up with the various goings-on in the Hogwarts School RP.
------

The school term has started, and there are a few changes in staff, plus the addition of a Ministry representative (Nora Leiden). She seems to want to inquire on how students feel about the safety of Hogwarts, though some staff and students appear to be quite wary of her. Hogsmede is undergoing serious reconstruction after being trashed/vandalized over the summer. Hendrik appears to know who is responsible, but is not telling.

The Daily Prophet includes a rather scandalous article about the past events at Hogwarts, written by Dempsey Doodle. Ravenclaw Prefect Ashlie seems to have taken the greatest (at least most noticable) offense to the article, and is probably not the only one to have decided that the article and Miss Leiden's presence are somehow linked. Miss Leiden has gotten approval from the Headmaster to inspect the staff's classes. She targeted all the classes with the ex-ghost profs and Rae.

The student paper, SS Quill, contains an article about the arrival of Miss Leiden (before that, an introductory article about the beginning of term) and an editorial written by Ashlie in response to Dempsey Doodle's article.

Despite attempts from some, Leiden has now found out who exactly let down Hogwart's defenses (i.e. opened the door) resulting in the chaotic fight in the castle against Lord Voldemortist. Professor Rae admitted to it (to the horror of several students).

Leiden inspected Divination and Potions classes, and now has decided to suspend Airlia, Riddle, Lainley and Rae from teaching duties, getting replacements from the Ministry. Rae has yet to be ousted, but it seems like this latest move has opened a rather nasty Pandora's Box of emotions, expecially on the student's end.

Quote:

Professor Kris Airlia --> Sophie_Melita
Professor Marcella Riddle --> Rhiane Shwmae
Professor Cassandra Rae --> Josef_Perry
Profesior Angelica Lainey --> Berty Borr
Professor Bree --> Kali_O'Hara
Headmaster Hendrik --> Riddock

(thanks to Nadia, this time quicker on the uptake than me. *bows*)

Looks like students are channelling some serious emotion into productiveness, several first/second years backed up by Professor Bree redecorating Berty Borr's office (and Berty himself). Alas, it has cost them, now Bree is out...

...that is not to say that's the only thing going on. Ashlie and Terry are scheming together to form somethign akin to Dumbledore's Army--SAMMO. (Students Against Meddling Ministry Officials. Quaint.)

Zekke snuck into several professor's offices (Rae, Airlia in particular) and stole a whole bunch of stuff back. So far, all he's returned is Rae's photo, but Terry is getting the blame from Perry for stealing it (oops!).

UPDATE: Most of the stuff has been returned. Most.

Hubert, Airlia's House-elf, was ordered to clean up the...artwork in Borr's "office", and, shall we say, pitched in to the revolution. Alas, Borr is a smart one, and is now howing in fury (with ripped pants) towards wherever Airlia may be. Borr wants to take Hubert away from Airlia (legally of course. Of course...) and Marcella has gone and stuck a "kick me" sign on his ripped trousers. He suceeded...or did he? Only time will tell.

All classes run by the Ministry reps so far have either been rediculously basic, or a joke. And some students have OWLS and NEWTS, you know!

Sidenote: Ron (gryffindor_1) sank his boat in a lake and was eaten by the Giant Squid. Or at least, dragged under. Do not try this at home, folks.

Remember Lee the Hufflepuff? He's been caught for doing something (besides the painting incident) and Shwame has got him to be a spy for the Ministry. He's supposed to ferret out information about last term...but will he? He's already snapped in the halls, and is telling Professor Bree + Slytherin Prefects some sketchy details about his predicament in Bree's office.

ADDITION: Melita's got Veritaserum! (Run, all you children! Run!)

Lee's been doped with Veritaserum and he's let slip who put up that wonderful poster of Melita and Borr in Hogesmade. He's also told her about SAMMO, and now that Shwame is in the SAMMO meeting, the members are trying to play it cool, like it was indeed a "Homework Group".

Bree has gotten into trouble for instructing when she is suspended. Now she can't leave the castle under any circumstances. SAMMO is...under survaillence? A Ravenclaw (Dark_Chimera) was listening in on the whole thing (i think).

Slytherin prefects Jaren and Zekke have brought one of Melita's cookies to Airlia for scientific analysis.

Lee was dragged off by Borr to a Borr dentention (Dun dun DUNN!) And Ganymede set off a slew of Dungbombs+a portable swamp in Borr's office, which has been cleaned up by Jaren before anyone notices.

Headmaster Hendrik has been ordered to step down in accordance to Clause which-one-is-it-now...also because Leiden likes him, but Hendrik (as we all know) is in love with Professor Pheonix. This has Professor Riddle in a hissy fit, to put it lightly, but the student body has not been informed yet. Well, directly anyway.

UPDATE: A trial is to be held soon by "Headmistress" Leiden, the accused being Professors Riddle, Lainley and Airlia. She is currently looking for student testifiers.

Plain outrageous insulting of Bertie Borr during HoM class resulted in a bunch of students (two Slyths, one Huffie, one Claw) landing themselves in detention. One Slytherin seems to be sucking up to Borr quite a bit...

Professors seem to prefer the Hog's Head to the Three Broomsticks. Looks like everyone has been in there...a small society which formed with the goal of freeing Hubert was busted by Josef Perry, and Lainley, who was "helping" somewhat with the Polyjuice Potion the students were brewing, is now confined to quarters. The kiddies got detention.

THE TRIAL HAS BEGUN! Check the post below this one for details on the trial.

Update: School ball (blech!) Leiden has not-so-wisely announced that the ex-ghost profs will not be returning, and Rae + Bree have been fired.

Current weather: Summer?

Status of student body: Curse you! You'll pay for this! May Merlin's Thumbs Deliver Justice! [/random cornyness]

The Trial--Details

(Reports may be vauge due to sheer volume of posts to be read through :dizzy:)

Lainley is the first to be tried. Leiden questioned her about how she came back to life, where the other staff was during the time of the revival/Lord Voldemortist's attack, and where she was before the attack. Quite a bit of emphasis on the attack and the fact that Lainley left as a ghost to be regenerated just before the attack. Then she asked Lainley about her teaching methods, etc.

Francis Llewellyn (2nd Year Ravenclaw) was next, giving testimony that she believed the professors did all they could to defend the students in the last attack, as well as some testimony on Professor Riddle's behalf...except one of the jurors brought up the fact that she'd been involved in two "rebellion groups" this term (oops!).

Airlia next. Some stuff on the Draught from last term, and she admitting that the staff had locked themselves in the Spirit Room away from the rest of the school (owch!). Some discussion on her class methods, that testing the potions on the students themselves wasn't all that safe.

Jaren Kymers (5th year Slytherin). Spectators seem to have liked his testimony, mostly defensive with a few jabs at Leiden's side comments and reasoning. Briefly touched on what he thought of the field trips, then a load of stuff on the attack last term, where he was monitoring the profs.

Riddle next, and a complete offensive strategy, unfortunately letting herself be provoked by Leiden's questioning. Leiden mostly dissed her for her age, Riddle returned the comments, then stormed off in a huff without finishing her testimony, prompting Leiden to have her, Airlia and Lainley removed from the room and locking the students in (I think. So that they can't follow at any rate.)

Zekke de Barticot (5th year Slytherin). Offered some insight as to what the students felt towards the events at the beginning of this term and argued completely in favour of the Professors on trial (at least Lainley and Airlia). Leiden didn't seem to like him though and dismissed him rather quickly. Needless to say, he got rather mad and stormed off, then re-entered the courtroom later to watch the remaining testimonies.

Currently on the stand: Naida Rey, 5th year Slytherin (what happened to the other houses?)

Makani 01-29-2005 11:09 PM

I -think- it was Slytherin. Nadia went crazy with butterbeer one night and I think that was why. May be wrong, though.

Kris: Yes, it was Slytherin but, a big deal wasn't made of it because of the tragedy at the end of last term.

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 01-31-2005 02:34 AM

Do I really need to tell? *looks innocent*

Backslash, I realize you haven't updated about the SS Quill articles. While half-ooc it still seems IC enough. Right now I have just found out the former story about how Marcella and cia were restored to their bodies: Suppossedly, a new medicine based on an ancient technique to make ghost back into life has been found/discovered/redicovered. (Yeeeah...) Read it?

Notice to the mods: the SS Quill webpage link isn't working.

EDIT: Ah, thanks for telling. Um, would somebody mind changing the post in the Common Rooms to say that? Or should I do it myself?
=P

Aris 02-03-2005 02:08 AM

I don't know if we are capable of submitting this but alot of "other people" are working together to get clues about the mystery of Hogsmeade and why the Professors seem so wel... *cough* HBH! But any who!

Backslash 02-03-2005 04:48 AM

I've spent most of my brainpower figuring out the Ministry rep...not much sucess there :-p For some reason I'm already confused on the goings-on in the school, and I'm the one supposedly keeping track.

Joy Miller 02-03-2005 11:37 PM

What exactly confuses you? *wicked grin*

Backslash 02-04-2005 06:06 PM

Firstly, whether you were shouting at Ashlie or me, but I've solved that one.

Secondly, how much Hendrik is attempting to leave vague, or does not know.

Thirdly...the stuff that my character has been discussing with other members of his house. It's all a load of philosophy, which I am not exactly good at. Then again, it's only been about two-three weeks into the term, so nothing has really had a chance to happen yet.

Is there any way to read/access back issues of the SS Quill, say from the beginning of this term? I wasn't done reading it yet :p (EDIT: Wait, nevermind, I found it.)

Joy Miller 02-05-2005 12:01 AM

1. I was shouting at all the people that were forcing me to fit into all your preconcieved ideas about Ministry personnel. Take that as you will.

2. I don't know exactly what Hendrik plans on sharing. Personally, and obviously this is all ooc, I'm surprised with what he HAS already shared. There's also been a fall-down in communication on my part which is why the Quill article shows a descrepancy of information. I'd be interested to learn from Nadia exactly what contradictions she sees so we can make reparations.

3. I don't know what exactly this "stuff" is, so I can't help you. I can say however that I've kinda seen this problem when dealing with philosophy: we all have our own opinions about magic and how it works. Unfortunately, we can't all be right. The people in charge (ie the professors) are the ones who get to determine the nature of magic and magical theory. Don't care how cool your theory is or how brilliant you think you are or even how RIGHT you think you are... the theories of the teacher prevail. this isn't geared just at YOU... actually, its geared at everyone who thinks they're ideas hold more merit than their teachers.

Mrs. Weasley 02-05-2005 06:05 PM

I am curious to know exactly what the Ministry of Magic knows about what went on last term. From what I can gather from comments made by Professor Hendrik and Miss Leiden, the ministry knows nothing about the draught and the reviving ceremony. So I assume Miss Leiden has come to find out more about that, and plans to interview the teachers and students as need be. Is this Miss Leiden modeled after Umbridge from the Order of the Phoenix? If so then as a student my suspicions about her would be correct. One more thing how does the destruction of Hogsmeade fit into the story? There is alot of talk in the Corner thread that Voldemort was responsible for it and plans to return and harm the students. That doesn't make alot of sense to me.

Backslash 02-05-2005 10:50 PM

*cough*Lord VoldemorTIST*cough*

And I guess how Hogesmede ties into all of this is just another one of the many things we students have to find out about :)

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 02-06-2005 12:13 AM

Events to list:
- Duelling Arena been added to the student body's activities.
- List of the people that has spoken to Miss Leiden (not that you should know): Emil, Kelli, Ahlie and Jaren.
(*I mean that actually 'talked', not passing by, stare, or introducing themselves though then there's more people to add)
- Valentine is coming -- well, if Halloween meant something...

Cassirin 02-06-2005 09:22 PM

*cough* Interesting turn of events at the start of the DADA class. *cough*

*doesn't shamelessly promote her class*

Well, that was fun...

draeya 02-07-2005 04:16 AM

UPDATE on people who have talked to Miss Leiden in her Office:

fr2nc1z - Ravenclaw
Riyon-BlueEyes - Ravenclaw
Edge - Gryffindor (for now)
slipstick - Gryffindor
Backslash - Slytherin
Latinhottie13 - Slytherin
ebony_wandson - Ravenclaw
SapphireMisty - Ravenclaw
She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! - Slytherin
all4oliverwood - Gryffindor
PHLphlyest - Slytherin
Hermione_loves_Ron - Ravenclaw
Gabriella - Slytherin
mysticelf - Hufflepuff
hpfan142 - Ravenclaw
draeya - Gryffindor (me... MAHAHAHA)

Cassirin 02-07-2005 04:24 AM

Well... don't count your chickens... it doesn't really count that she's talked to you if you're stalking her office and she hasn't responded to you yet. There are two philosophies professors take on this site, and I assume that some students do it this way too. Some people post anywhere they want as they want. Others RP in one place at a time. Rae does that... meaning that if she's in her office, she won't post in the GH or in a hallway. If she's in the hallway, she doesn't post in the GH or her office until she says she's left. That makes more sense to me. It appears that Miss Leidon is one of these in the latter group... she's not in her office.. so all those people are talking to themselves at this point.

Jaren... I'm sad you missed out on that mini-drama in my class. I'm not excited about that surprise visit *frowns*

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 02-07-2005 05:16 AM

Me? Talking to Leiden? *puts innocent smile* Just where did that come from? ah, maybe that small interaction on HoM. Mmh...

Where are you Back-y!?!?! You have a bunch of stalkers right here waiting for you =P

And yes, you might want to add that part on the updating: It is finally revealed how the entrance security got down. Leiden vs Rae. Though not really, lol.

Though I agree with that way of RPGing I do have a problem when I am waiting for three people to respond to me and class started. Therefore I make what I call 'Time-Hole'. I know, I know, nobody understand what I mean by time-hole thinggy... only a couple of people might. Lol. But seeing time goes much faster in the RPG (the term years are only months) a small gap is coherent... me thinks. (NOTE ON DADA CLASS: Of course I don't think you had stolen it from me. The only person Nadia has talked to about her Wind Spells is.... mmh, better not say it, hehe. Spots might have known too. Mmh, maybe I should quote that saying 'genius think alike' here. Too coincidental.)

I'm pretty much repeating everything ain't I? I'm a stalker, I admit it.

Backslash 02-07-2005 05:34 AM

NOOOO! Blast having to study Calculus! (melodramatically hits head on table) Jaren was trying so hard to stall that inevitable moment! And DADA class looked so interesting! (mutters incomprehensibly)

Oh well, on to plan B. And not your plan B, Nadia.

Additions: I tend to play it according to when the scene began, or when I joined the scene. For example if I joined a scene down by the lake before class A began, then no matter when the scene at the lake ends, the next thing my character would do would be to go to class A, etc. So if I seem in two places at once, I blame it on the time lag.

Biochemkris 02-14-2005 01:49 AM

No update on what went on during potions? :shifty:

I must admit... I'm disappointed too. *grin*

Joy Miller 02-14-2005 05:09 AM

*cough* I can't believe it. I guess I found the time of day to do my mischief so that noone even notices.

Backslash 02-14-2005 05:22 AM

Okay, now I know for sure. Things go on around here only when I'm offline. Update on the way, don't you fret.

Leeness 02-14-2005 05:35 PM

well professor Riddle and Professor Airlia have been replaced by othe ministry workers.

Am loving this plot :D

fr2nc1z 02-14-2005 05:36 PM

Also, Professor Lainey received an owl letter.. Does this mean she may get to leave as well?

babydriver27 02-14-2005 05:39 PM

Miss Leiden stated to the Headmaster that Professors Airlia, Rae, Lainey, and Riddle were going to be replaced, but we aren't supposed to know this IC.

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 02-14-2005 05:40 PM

Ha! I KNEW Valentine would be eventfull.

So according to clausule-blahwhatisit the following professors have been removed and replaced from their positions. This is how:

Professor Kris Airlia --> Sophie_Melita
Professor Marcella Riddle --> Rhiane Shwmae
Professor Erin Rae --> Josef_Perry
Professior Ty Lainey --> Berty Borr

Situation of the student body?: *clinks on professors* Noooooo!! Please don't goooo!!

babydriver27 02-14-2005 07:40 PM

Update on the Ministry situation: Professor Lainey's replacement is Berty Borr.

All three of these officials look like trouble. Oh boy, I can't wait for the classes to start.

Backslash 02-14-2005 09:30 PM

Hey, they're still in the castle. That's a start, no. Really, I'm waiting to see what Hendrik's got up his sleeve this time...still waiting...and waiting...

Starbreeze 02-15-2005 02:12 AM

Professor Berty Borr is the new HoM Professor and Professor Melita is the new Potions Professor. If im not mistaken, if i am please correct me.

Hermione_loves_Ron 02-15-2005 04:58 AM

They've got Rae. -sobs- That's Ashlie fave teacher. Her idol. She admires Rae. Oh, she's making a fool of herself right now, lol. In the office. This is terrible.

EmmaRiddle 02-15-2005 01:38 PM

Quote:

Emma (Professor Riddle) has guilt written over hear forhead yet that still doesn't show that she has anything to do with it but I do believe that on one of her post does talk about it and that she knows things but isn't ready to speak/ confess.
I'm interested in knowing what exactly you mean by that, what did she say?

Adyna Laurent 02-15-2005 01:42 PM

Not many people seem to like me hmmmm

Did you know there's a joke in my name? In a certain language Shwmae (Shoo-my) means "Hi, how are you?"

In effect my names means

Rhiane Shwmae - "Rhiane, hi, how are you?"
Professor Shwmae - "Professor! Hi! How are you?"

I also don't appreciate people spelling my name wrong. SHWMAE.

:p

lightstar1154 02-15-2005 08:58 PM

-dies- O sure, I leave the computer for 2 days and the most interesting development in like, SS history happens, lol.

Anyway, I'm intersted exactly what clause 124 said (meaning, exact wording)... it obviously allows the ministry to replace people... But... if there was a loophole? We could get our beloved professors back. :)

Anyway, the scenes in all the offices were brilliant! Marvelous work! *applauds*

Leeness 02-15-2005 09:09 PM

yeh would it be possible to get a thread with all the clauses?

Berty Borr 02-15-2005 09:25 PM

Quote:

Francis smiled and wished Mithos good luck. Then turning to Ron, she added: "Well.. Mr. Borr is quite scary.. I actually had to run away as fast as I could from his office!" Francis laughed about it as she narrated the story. In hindsight, it must have been a quite a funny scene.
I nearly died laughing at this scene. I think even Mr. Borr would of laughed out loud if he would of seen.

And what's this about me knocking a kid down? If memory serves me right, I "nudged" a nosey twirp out of the way. :shifty: -waves cane threateningly-

Berty Borr 02-15-2005 09:40 PM

Quote:

he he well someone replied picking me up from the ground so i thought you knocked me down apologies.

Actually, RP wise it's grand. Rumors SHOULD be spreading like that just like they would in the 'real world'. It's great and no appologies.

And Bree! Bree is a mere Professor! -spits-

-runs around laughing-

Backslash 02-15-2005 11:07 PM

Hey hey hey, settle down already (smooths all ruffled feathers) I'm actually quite interested in what happens next.

(announcer voice) Will the Headmaster come with a brilliant plan to save us all? Will Professor Riddle snap first? Will the students mutiny and go on a rampage? All this and more on the next episode of "Honey, I sacked the teachers!"

william.cook1990 02-15-2005 11:29 PM

Whoever is doing the RPing for Professor Borr is a great RPer!!!! We're not supposed to like him but I'd like to say you're doing a great job.

further update:
-Professor Bree and a few helping students have just vandalized the office where Professor Borr is reciding.
-Tension in the student body, various revolts forming (with different shapes).
-The four former professors forced to leave their offices but remaining on their quarters (Airlia, Rae and Lainey kicked out personally).
And I quite agree. Borr rocks!... Did I miss anything?

*is not here only to boast about her new avvy* ^^

Hermione_loves_Ron 02-16-2005 01:39 AM

No worries Nadia :P I've already mentioned it in the Prefects Lounge to see if I can get my fellow Prefects to help me round up people and I'm going to start talking to others like Francis in my House. Word spreads to those who want to help... viola! I have my SAMMO :D

Cassirin 02-16-2005 05:23 AM

"DUN DUN DUN DUN Another one bites the dust..."

You students keep egging your professors into action like this and no one will be left *shrug*. Actually, I just wanted an excuse to quote Queen. Carry on. Professor Bree has joined the revoked Professors.

william.cook1990 02-16-2005 05:44 AM

It's official. Bree is gone! Right after I had really started to get to know her! She is really cool, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeves. I just sent an owl to a "special" joke shop. hehe

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 02-16-2005 05:51 AM

*has a secretive smile for some reason* I wouldn't say it so lightly... Ah, dear... for some obvious reason my character is shaking with fear.

So that makes a further update: Bree and her kids' artist moment are about to cost several detentions (or expulsions?) and the firing of the professor in question, unless Leiden decides to lend an ear to Mithos' begging. Our wishes are with you Mithos!

That's not the quote I would have chosen from Queen :shifty: lol
*hugs her new avvy*

Cassirin 02-16-2005 05:53 AM

Maybe this isn't the place to do it, but I want to remind you you really ought to show the new professors some respect. Stay in character. Do you prank subs? Especially subs with the power to make your lives miserable. Yeah. So... behave! Seriously!

EDIT: I lurve Queen. They're my BAND. Deal. What quote would you have chosen?

fr2nc1z 02-16-2005 04:16 PM

Prof Bree went into Miss Leiden's office.. Perhaps to inform her that Prof Bree was only carrying out Mr. Borr's wishes! But really, did Mr. Borr ever said what color and designs he wanted on the wall?? Ah, I think he did not! ;)

babydriver27 02-16-2005 05:59 PM

Another update: Professor Bree's replacement is Kali O'Hara.

Starbreeze 02-16-2005 11:18 PM

What will happen to the students..?(that were with Professor Bree)

Hermione_loves_Ron 02-16-2005 11:45 PM

Does the Ministry know who the students who did the painting are? I'm a bit happy I didn't do that one. That's too open of a fight back there and I can imagine that the Ministry has the power to expell anyone that they wish to.

Leeness 02-16-2005 11:49 PM

yeh they will do because on one of the walls they signed it and all those peopels names will get into trouble, i didn't sign it luckily :D

Oh, there are many conspiracies on that one.

1. Getting profs out of the way to question them.
2. Taking over Hogwarts.
3. Making sure that the profs will in no way endanger the student's precious little minds with exposure to dark magic. [/sarcasm]

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 02-17-2005 02:45 AM

Question: Did Borr, after being 'attacked', visited the Slytherin Commons only, or all of them? That's why Kashi said that me thinks.

Starbreeze 02-17-2005 02:49 AM

No one attacked him we only painted his room, and Mr Borr himself but just a lil. stop thinking we attacked him ppl! He did go to the Ravenclaw Common Room... He yelled at us than he went to Miss Leiden's office. We did not attack him. lol

babydriver27 02-17-2005 03:08 AM

Mr. Borr "blessed" us Huffies with a visit to our commons and with what looked like Ralph Lauren's new spring line of fashion. Too bad, the hot pink on his face clashed horribly with his ensemble. :rotfl:

BRAVO! ENCORE! BEAUTIFUL update up there. Artisitical and everything! *bows to you*

So now we know Borr visited the Hufflepuff, Slytherin and Ravenclaw (and probably Gryffindor) Common Rooms all and it was not only preference to blame Slytherin first *mock cleans sweat from forehead* What a relief.

serenasnape 02-17-2005 02:30 PM

Talking about Borr.... yes he visited Gryffindor as well and wielded his cane in our faces! I think it's high time he lost that cane!!!:poke:

And for more on him.... I loved this post!!

Oh! And I wouldn't advise stealing my cane. It could be replaced you know - with something even worse.

Cassirin 02-17-2005 11:21 PM

No, Mr. Borr's non-RPing self is quite unpleasent. Don't you know who it is yet? *gasp*

Thanks to those of you who came by to give Rae some conversation.

fr2nc1z 02-18-2005 04:35 AM

*hits head on desk* Argh, I think Mr. Perry is going to cancel the Dueling Room.. All because I was asking about dueling and DADA, and it got out of context, and ahh... it's a mess :/

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 02-18-2005 05:06 AM

(Possible) Update: New Quill. Article about Hogsmeade, blames the attack on Voldimortist alone (up to know the only 'oficial' mentioning of Voldimortist being involved).
... and I was quoted! Yay! *feels special*

Josef Perry 02-18-2005 05:10 AM

I'm sure I would have cancelled the Duelling Arena regardless. Besides, it hasn't happened YET. Don't blame yourself, sweetheart. I sure wish I could incur the hatred of as many of you as Berty. *sigh*

Mr. Borr's non-Rping self resents that comment and would like it struck from the records, thank you very much. -gives you a taste of Mr. Cane-

Quote:

Oh well Borr visited the Ravenclaw Table and asked if the Ravenclaws were the smart ones and Hayley told him that we are all (whole school) smart and artistic, his walls painted LOL, he left in anger.
He left because no one wanted to play with him in the Great Hall! I thought, or rather Berty thought, that 'the students' would be all over him in the Great Hall. Berty and I were wrong.

Besides, he's got punishments to hand out soon.

Josef Perry 02-18-2005 05:23 AM

Josef is looking forward to Berty's punishments with great relish. But not the kind you put on hot dogs. The other kind of relish. He has also punished the poster of said ooc comment thoroughly and made her cry. He is also also on his way to the Great Hall himself, where he will be thoroughly ignored.

Geez, you all are awful eager to be punished. Mr. Borr's non-RPing self has kind of fallen into a hole and is way too busy for their own good. So, Mr. Borr will punish the naughty, nasty little children with their names so conveniently written on his walls, when he can devote the time needed to do it right. Because, Mr. Borr would want to do punishments right. And you can rest easy, because he won't forget to punish you all. No, no, no he won't.

can someone update me on what happened when Mr. Borr went around talking to the students? For some reason my browser keeps dying on me when I get to the Great Hall (ironic, ne.)

She-Who-Is-Not-To-Be-Psycho! 02-18-2005 11:00 PM

You missed nothing. Borr walked about, the Ravenclaws were rather rude, a Slytherin was overly cheerful with him and... don't remember much about the other two houses, but it was quite irrelevant to the storyline. Practically no interaction: Borr was too soon ranging on the students for laughing at him and retreatening. Then Shwmae and Leiden are about to have a conversation. Zekke (Zadhiel) has stolen back some belonging of the professors and given them back to their due owners. SAMMO's organizing starting (telling teachers). Nadia had her first birthday present in IC! Yay! (Jaren has yet to give it to me though, from Natalya). So... pretty much nothing. Poor Zekke is suffering so much though...

I'm not sure about the other tables but at the Ravenclaw table he was quite unwelcome.

That's basically it (the most of it, that is).

Ahhhhh I have to do this::

Quote:

(...)Ganymede was running over to tell them that someone had repainted the Headmaster's Office magenta and neon green, some Hufflepuff first year off to the right was jumping and somersaulting over a bunch of lines drawn on the ground, ignoring the yelling of the Ministry representative Bertie Borr, who was threatening the Hufflepuff with a large paddle labelled "Attitude Adjuster". A swarm of Ravenclaws armed with rubber chickens was chasing Leiden around and around and around, lead by none other than Ashlie, who was dressed up like an Amazon warrior and uttering a high-pitched war cry worthy of Xena.
Jaren's dream sequence. I'm not adding the scene with Kay and the professors because they can see them themselves... and the part with Borr turning into Voldemortist.... I didn't dare to.

Well, if is there something else I can help with the updating, call.
(*Jaren and Zekke? :shifty: Minus the obsenity I would say it's Mercurio Jaren-look-alike the most) EDIT: ...I changed my mind. I have found Jaren Jr somewhere else *points at BlueEyes_Riyon* Heheh.

SapphireMisty 02-19-2005 05:10 AM

Eh, my character could've talked to Prof. Lainey about her troubling summer experiences from before this term started, but she's got her own mind, and talked to Prof. Bree about it instead (as she landed into Bree's office first). She means no offense, but she likes both of yeh! *hugs both Profs. Lainey and Bree*

Anyway, my character's just put a bunch of flowers (that makes anyone sneeze for up to a week, activated by user & starts making everyone sneeze within an hour that is activated) in Borr's office. Too bad he can't ever find out who had done it if he finds the thing (unless she comes by to either reactivate when it wears off or picks it up), since there is user detection-prevention spell placed upon it. As insecure as she is this term, she still has tricks up her sleeve, no matter what her situation is! And of course, she wants to be part of the rebellion.

Cassirin 02-20-2005 08:39 PM

There is a LOT of chatter and chatting in here, and while I'm excited about all of your enthusiasm, it is making it hard to read and follow along. I'm at work during the day and I come in here and WHOA. So... in an attempt to curb all that chattiness, I've made a branch-off LJ of the_snitchseeker one... called ss_school.

Go there and be chatty. Please.

UPDATE: Miss Sophie Melita is pondering the thought of asking Nora Leiden to remove the house points compition, and replace it with gold stars, which if you get so many will lead to a surprise reward (we don't know the reward because it a surprise :P:D)

fr2nc1z 02-21-2005 11:28 PM

Um... Reward? A surprise reward??
Oh my.. That sounds like a potentially dangerous situation! *hides*

Updates:
1. Miss Shwmae wants to institute suspensions and harsher penalties to those who do pranks *cough cough* and rebel in class. And she was given the power to punish students to the "full extent" of her power. Read in that what you will.
2. There is a new prank in the making ;) And I'm not in it! woooo!!!
3. Poor Prof. Rae will get into trouble because of a photograph
4. HM and SAMMO have new rooms. But they are secret!! woooo!!!

That is all ^-^

Luna Morrisson 02-22-2005 02:31 AM

No offense to the people playing them, these new professors really stink at teaching. They're either insane or expecting kindergarten. It's kind of obnoxious.

And what does SAMMO stand for? Just curious.

Also is the villan played by a MOD or is some random person elected every term to play him?

Hermione_loves_Ron 02-22-2005 02:38 AM

SAMMO is () Students Against Meddlesome Ministry Officials

And I wouldn't say the people playing the Ministry Officials stink. They are RPing their character that way. The Ministry thinks we're a bunch of stupid, unintelligent dips.

Starbreeze 02-22-2005 02:56 AM

While Professor Melita gives us Gold Stars instead of House Points, Mr. Perry lets us grasp our ON wands!! how great is tha...?t (in a sarcastic way) And if answer a question correctly and if you are lucky enough you will get 1 House Point!!! huh-huh isn't that great...? *dies* these Professors STINK!

Luna Morrisson 02-22-2005 03:58 AM

Is there a way to join SAMMO?

Hermione_loves_Ron 02-22-2005 04:03 AM

You'll have to find Ashlie around the school and talk to her. But, you'll have to have a way that you've heard of the place in the RP. THey're very sercretive about it. And, you have to be approved by SAMMO.

What we be the fun in suspending you? Nope, Rhiane plans to have some fun with you and Kass. heheh minions.

The 'villain' or Voldemortist as he's better known, has a secret identity. I know who he/she was last term but no idea for this one. It's far more fun if you don't know whose who.

And none of the characters are what the RPers who play them, are really like. None of us are this mean. Well, unless you get on the wrong side of us, I suppose. But we are nice people. :)

I'm saddened to say that the following is OOC info.. So weigh it carefully and keep it out of RPG.

Lee is a ministry spy. He is being coerced into betraying his friends. And no one knows about it!

That is all ^-^

They didn't post specifics, so OOC, I have no idea.

Further discussion of this can be taken up in the LJ Community.

Zadkhiel 02-23-2005 02:04 PM

*cough*Zekkestolealotofthingsandhasn'treturnedthem yet*cough*

BTW... Here's something I MUST mention and it is imperative for everyone to know.

NO ONE but a very select few know Zekke's full name. Unless Zekke personally told you or if someone spilled the beans *cough*betternot!andyoucan'tlieaboutsomeonetelling youwhennoonedid*cough* you would NEVER call him by Zadkhiel. ;)

Notice how he never ever introduces himself as Zadkhiel and notice how I never introduce him as Zadkhiel. Always Zekke. Or Z, for those brave enough to give him that nickname/use that nickname.

EmmaRiddle 02-23-2005 02:47 PM

I have a few more pointers to add on the Shwmae/Lee drama which you all need to keep in mind:-

Lee isn't likely to reveal to many people, or anyone really, what's gone on because he knows the consequences would be dire.

Although Out of Character you may have read what happened, that doesn't mean your character knows what went on. Unless Shwmae or Lee tells you, then your character does not know.

I'm sure he won't be able to lie. She'll have ways of knowing whether he's telling the truth or not. I'm sure she could get Leiden to approve the use of Veritaserum on him if she suspected him of lying.

Zekke knows there's a lot of danger involved in whatever is going on, because he felt that fear from Lee when they crossed paths in the Hallways, so yeah... I feel sorry for Lee! >_<

fr2nc1z 02-23-2005 03:58 PM

Obviously, all of these posts are OOC. So keep that in mind ;)

Update:
1. Miss Shwmae is looking for The Book in the restricted section... *scary music*
2. Mr. Borr is wanted to re-decorate (throw away) everything for his new office
3. Someone let out pixies in Miss Leiden's office

More to come later!!! woooo!!! ;)

fr2nc1z 02-24-2005 12:29 AM

Shwmae is putting Truth potion into cookies! Well it seems like she is so be careful.

Adyna Laurent 02-27-2005 05:09 PM

Melita has been putting stuff in the cookies too. Don\'t be so shocked. Y\'all are foolish to accept them!

The Ministry IS the law.

If they believe someone is witholding vital information, they can force them to tell the truth. Hogwarts is under investigation and so naturally they need the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
