| | |  Sophie's First Lesson
Sophie bounced into the potions classroom and deposited her box on the desk. She smiled, brightly, at the new decor of the formerly dark, dusty, dungeon, classroom. It was now covered in bright tapestries and the floor was covered in a bright yellow carpet. All this place needed now was some sunlight but, that was quite impossible down here in the dungeons.
After inspecting the entire classroom to be sure everything was in order, Sophie plunked down onto the cushy chair behind the desk. She couldn't wait for the students to start arriving. | |

"Good morning, good morning, welcome," Sophie greeted the students, effusively. "Today's lesson is going to be a real treat, I'm sure."
Speaking of treats... She pulled a plate of cookies out from the desk and placed them on top. "Although, I won't reveal what we're discussing until after the rest of the class arrives. I don't want to spoil it for you," she winked.

Francis walked in and smiled. She wondered if it would be ok for them to have some of the cookies. Too shy to ask since she didn't know Miss Melita well, she sat down and took out her parchment and quill.

Rosa got out her book and looked at the cookies. we must be baking cookies, she thought. She wondered what cookies had to do with potions and opened her book, looking for the word cookies in the text.

"Wonderful," Sophie said, clapping her hands and walking to the side of the desk. "Welcome, students, to Potions Class. I am Professor Melita and I will be your teacher for this lesson. Now, I would like to go over a few rules before we begin. First of all, I want everyone to raise their hand before answering a question so that only one person speaks at a time. Second of all, I want everyone to have as much fun as possible, so long as we do it in a safe and educational way. Are there any questions so far?"

Lee walked in, just in time to hear the rules, Lee nodded in agreement
"Sounds reasonable"
Lee took a seat near the front and added
"And no question from here anyway"
Lee smiled and pilled his stuff on his desk waiting for the lesson to begin, he was much attracted to Miss Melita's kindness, she took in how they may feel of intruders coming whereas the other officials just thought get over it. Lee was determined to earn back some points for hufflepuff. | |

"Alright then, time to get down to business. Now, I found this old projection screen while I was looking through the classroom equipment and thought I might as well make use of it," she said, waving her wand toward the back of the room.
A black cloth was removed from a lump on a table to reveal the projector. Sophie smiled and then, pulled on a rope so that a screen fell down at the front of the classroom. "There we are," she said, pointing her wand at the projector once more. "Now, we are going to discuss some very important tools for potion making. What is this object?"
As she asked her question a picture appeared on the screen:
