*Jessica dove down to the floor towards her feet, where her bag was laying, she pulled out her dragon hide gloves and sliped them on, she didnt dare let the dransul suck on her bare fingers, who knows whats been in that thing! she carfully took her dransul from Professor Pheonix and looked at it, deciding how she should feed, it, she didnt really know where its mouth was, so she let it into the cage and let it wander around for its food, watching it intentionly. she took out a piece of parchment and a quill to write down a few notes on it. in the meantime, she collected a few pellets for him or her, just in case it wasnt really interested in mice at the moment**

Serena didn't need time to think. She went straight to the teachers desk for some food pellets.
Sheepishly she said, "Thanks for not making us feed them the live mice. I don't even think I could stand to watch someone else feed them mice."
She returned to her seat and carefully placed the pellets where she thought the mouth should be.
"Here Dransul, eat up!" she said as she leaned down to get a closer look. The plant quickly moved onto the pellets and Serena jumped back in shock.
"I suppose they can smell their food. I really can't imagine it understood me!"
She started taking notes of what she observed of the plant up close as it fed on the pellets.

Selena still looks at her Dransul in a irriated way "No I haven't forgotten your earlier attack, and you won't be getting the mouse. I've decided to set Mickey....uhhh" Selena looks around for her mouse "Well I'm sure I had it somewhere around here" Selena turns quickly looking for the mouse and saw as it flew into the air and landed on Serena's head "oohhh"

Anelreas shook her head and stepped away from her Dransul. There was no way she was going to feed the Dransul a baby mouse. She could never find it in herself to do that. Instead, she did the alternative that the Professor had suggested. She walked to the Professor's desk and began picking up food pellets.

Serena was writing notes when all of sudden she felt something 'alive' and moving, clinging to the hair on top of her head. She jumped and drew a long line across her notes and then dropped her quill and reached up to see what it was. She heard Selena's cry and asked "What is it, your mouse?"

Serena made a face of dismay mixed in with a giggle. "He's so small, it tickles. And look, he's all tangled up in my long hair! Can you help me get him out?" she said smiling at Selena.

puts gloves on because I refuse to touch the mouse with my bare hands "I think he realized he was suppose to be plant food." lol *grabs the mouse* "These Dransuls remind me of those old movies my grandpa tried to get me to watch. The one I think it's called Little Shop of Horrors where the guy keeps feeding the plant and it gets bigger and bigger saying "FEED ME I'M HUNGRY." lol "That's all I need is for this plant to chase me around the school saying "FEED ME SELENA." puts the mouse in a box for safe keeping away from the professor so she can't make it food when i leave "Ummm I don't think mine is hungry Professor." lookin at her plant "Either that or it can smell the mouse it's not gettin!"

Serena couldn't help but laugh. "Thanks. My dad used to make me watch those movies too!"
Serena tried to clean up her notes and noticed her Dransul was still eating the pellets she had given it. She wondered what Selena had in mind for the mouse. It seems she was on a rescue mission to save its life.

Nadia was growing each time greener while Professor Phoenix went on with her explanation. Young, baby mice? At some point, Nadia had to ccover her mouth, in fear her breakfast might want to come back to play her a visit. Yes, she was pretty much seeing things that weren't there. She knew she had to find a way out of this assigment.
Food pellets?
Nadia blinked. It was so good news her stomach actually stopped hurting for a minute - second more like. Nadia went forwards, much more healthy than what she was looking before, and taking as many pellets as she could take with her. Ah, sweet relief... Nadia went over a random Dransul and gave him the food. The plant didn't look to happy but he surely took it. Actually, Nadia was not too sure why it was so difficult to feed the Dransul this time. She had been able good enough to do the job last year, now only the thought sickened her. And really, she ate meat all the time, while having watched so many baby cows... but, well, no cows having to meet personally.
Her moments of happy feeding found an end, however, when her thought left her thinking abuot the mice again. Nadia's eyes fell on the box with all the mice, the baby mice... she started having those pains again, it was worsening them. Of course, that she didn't feed the Dransul like that didn't mean others wouldn't, and people all around were or would soon do it. Her eyes travelled to her mates despite herself, to the people watching entertained and to those who just did it with no emotion on their faces. Dear Merlin, why did she had to choose this time to feel stomach-ill? True, lost have chosen the pellets but... Her hands found their way to her mouth again, feeling revolted. She put another pellet to feed the Dransul she was taking care of, then stood and turned to the Herbology teacher.
"Professor," she called, "would you allow me to go to, umh, the toilet? I'm not feeling too well."

Anelreas had just fed her Dransul the food pellets when she noticed Nadia's obvious green state. If she had not missed breakfast this morning, she would be in the state as Nadia; though she was sure she would not have had the strength to ask permission to go to the toilet. She would have emptied her stomach onto the floor in front of the class.
She turned her attention back to her Dransul. Even after she fed it the rest of her pellets, it still seemed hungry.
"You're not getting a mouse, so you can forget about it." She told it sternly. As long as she was present, her Dransul would not be fed a mouse. No way. No how. If it was fed ...

Jaren eyed the box of infant mice, the Dransul, then the food pellets. If this was in the wild, the Dransul might find the mice on its own and devour it, or else the mouse might be foolish enough to wander past one. However, deliberately dropping helpless mice into the jaws of death would count, in the cycle of life, as murder, even if the Dransul's natural food was live creatures. Curses on my ethics, Jaren thought idlly, and proceeded to slip on his dragonhide gloves and feed the Dransul food pellets. From the corner of his eye he noticed Nadia was now much distinctly greener in the face than before. He would escort her out of the classroom before things got messy, but he was sure she would not appreciate it. Not to mention it would look exceedingly odd for him to escort someone to the girl's bathroom.

Bailey slipped on her gloves and looked around. She hesitantly stuck her hand into the cage and picked up one of the white mice. Deciding that she didn't quite feel like hand feeding the dransul, Bailey just set the mouse into the plant's cage to watch it hunt for its prey.

::Erica looked at her dransul with a mixture of disgust and curiousity. This was definitely going to be interesting, and perhaps sickening.::
"So, what's on the menu for you today? Young, helpless baby mice or food pellets?"
::The dransul just lay there, doing nothing. Erica contemplated whether the pellets would be the better choice, until she looked up at the teacher's desk and noticed that the majority of the students were thinking the same thing. They were heading for the pellets in droves. There probably weren't going to be enough for everyone, she figured. Sighing, she reached into her bag and got out her dragon hide gloves. She put them on and reached into the cage for a mouse. It was so tiny, she felt sad for it.::
"Sorry, little buddy."
::Erica lowered the mouse into the dransul's cage and waited for the feast to begin.::

| "Indeed Nadia, I am sorry about this... Well, I believe this concludes our lesson," Professor Phoenix said. "If you'd bring back your Dransuls to the front and put them into their cages—no more than three to one. I also have homework for you." Professor Phoenix turned to the blackboard and started scribbling down the task. Quote: Herbology Homework - Write a short summary of the unusual attributes of the Dransul.
- Read up on Venomous Tentaculas or Devil's Snares and describe where similarities or differences lie between them and Dransuls.
Absolutely no more than 200 words per task; concentrate on the important parts. If you have little time, one task will suffice. Send your homework to air_of_ancaleth@hotmail.com no later than Friday, 10th of February.
