Professor Rae flicked her wand at the door to the classroom and watched it swing open. Once it was set in place, she turned back to the papers on her desk. She was doing some research on a spell for a friend in the Department of Aurors and Rae wanted to get another chapter scanned before the students wandered in. They'd be restless due to the nice day outside, but it was getting colder each day. | |

Anelreas followed the Professor's instructions and placed her earmuffs over her ears. She scooted a bit closer to Nadia, figuring the girl had already encountered the creatures, as she had not.

Professor put her own earmuffs on and nodded to the class before she removed a locked box from inside her desk. She removed several charms from the box before unlocking it from a ring of keys in her pocket. Finally, she opened the box and withdrew a smaller box. Professor Rae quickly grew the box to normal size and opened the lid.
A large dark figure emerged from it, clearly the form of a female in a tattered shroud of some sort. Her skin had a greenish cast, at least that which could be seen. Her long black hair floated to the floor, and her mouth was frozen open in a long scream. Some of the scream could be heard through the earmuffs, but only slightly.

Raven jumped slighty and stared more at the dark figure. She had read about this creature in a old book she found in the library but never thought she would encounter one. She sat looking at the creature and began to write notes of the figure.

Nadia smiled and doing a funny move with her fits at the same time she said "I knew it!"
However, everyone had her earmuffs on, obviously, none had heard a thing. But she was content enough of having gotten it right... Mind, she thought the scream to be quite deadly, as oppossed to Prof. Rae's explanation. Then again, so much Greek mythology could have messed up with the facts in her brain...

ooc: Those of you who use the Lexicon might be really confused, but I've looked up all three references that are listed, and I see no canon that supports the scream being deadly... so it isn't. I hope that's fine with yall. If not... I apologize to canon enthusiasts everywhere... this makes much more sense to me.
Professor Rae waved her wand and blew the creature back into her trunk before closing it and charming a Silencio over it. She tapped her earmuffs and pulled them off, indicating that the students could as well. "Now... what was that?"
