DADA Lesson 1 Professor Rae pushed open the door to the classroom and surveyed it. The desks were shiny and sitting in straight, perfect rows. The windows were open from her visit earlier that day, and the sunlight streamed in and lit the room cheerily. The blackboard was clean and just waiting for chalked words of wisdom. She sighed with contentment and moved behind her desk, ready to begin the first DADA class of the term. |
Birdy pushed open the door and stood a moment on the threshold, closing her eyes and enjoying the soft wind from the windows blow over her face. Snapping back to reality, she moved aside as not to block other students. She glided over to a desk next to an open window. Plopping down her bag first, she carefully sat down in her seat, glad to be in her first class of the year. |
"Hullo Professor!" Ashlie says in a chippy voice, skipping into the classroom. "How are you? You're still looking good, one wouldn't think so much stress had been on you last year." She takes her seat and looks around. "What will we be working on?" |
*Selena walks in and takes a seat in the middle* Sup professor! *puttin bag on the floor* |
Emil walked in as he was looking carefully in the class schedule. "Defense against the Dark Arts. Hmm... this should be interesting. I guess it'll be like a self-defense class, but then we need wands, or maybe something more." He continued to ponder about the subject as he sat near the middle window. He smiled at the professor, took out a quill, ink bottle and parchment, and waited for the class to begin. |

Francis smiled as she waled inside the classroom. She sat down on an empty table and took out her quill, and colored-ink, as well as her homework quill. She took out her books and smiled at the other students and at the professor. |
Mithos walks in the class room and sits in the front "Hello Professor, having a good day?" Mithos smiles and than looks around Mithos sees Fracis and smiles |
Amy walked in, resting her eyes on the sight of the classroom for a moment. It had been too long since her last DADA class her first year. The memories of the YAC and DADA flooded in her head as Amy stepped in. She saw her old seat hadn't been taken, so she sat down. |
One of his favorites classes Zack walked into the DADA classroom. Before taking his usual seat in the middle row he was getting excited about the things he was going to learn in DADA this term. After his thought he took his seat, and took out his Defense Against the Dark Arts materials and waited for class to begin. |
Rae grinned at the students already there as she rose to sit on the front of her desk. "Just a general review today, but I have some really exciting things planned this term. We'll need our wands as well as quills and parchment. Let's just wait for your classmates, and we'll get started." ooc: I have to leave for about 1.5 hours. I'll be back by 8:30 EST to resume. Behave. No chatty chatty. |
Francis waved at Mithos. She then proceeded to take her wand out. Smiling, she started to practice her hand movement. |
Ashlie nodded. "Alright Professor." OoC: Aww... Erin. I have to go before then -cries- |
::Erica walks into the classroom and finds an empty desk. She takes a seat, pulls out the necessary equipment and anxiously awaits the start of class. She sees Amy across the room and gives her a friendly wave.:: |

Nadia found a seat near the door, in case of an unplanned accident. A strange sight met her eyes when she was coming there btu nothing that worried her too much. She only sat down, tried to relax and wait for the class to start. Only the small announcement Professor Rae had made had Nadia working out what they were going to discuss. Probably the traditional introductary class, she thought. Nadia planned in advance for answer, so she wouldn't have to repeat herself as she usually did. After all, Professor Rae more than any other professor could already think out what her answers were going to be. Nadia better come out with something original. |
*Merri enters, and excitedly pulles out her books, parchment, quill and wand. This is her favourite lesson and she looks around at the professor expectantly, itching for the lesson to start* |
Amy quickdrew her wand and looked over at Erica. She smiled and waved. |
"DADA, at last!" Kelly enters the room and takes her seat near to the front. |
Fiona walked into class and sat by Nadia,"Hey Nadia. How's it going?",she said as she took out her wand at the Professors command. |
Mithos takes his out wand, quill and parchment and waits for the class to begin. |
Emil followed the professor's instructions and took out his wand. He has been practicing some spells with it for the last three days, all thanks to a book that his parents bought for him, called "Wand Waving for Muggles Made Easy." Although he still do not understand what "Muggles" mean, he hasn't ask anyone yet, he had a vague belief that it refers to non-magical folk. He caught the professor's last statement and repeated it to himself. "A review? Hmm... I guess I have to listen attentively and write every word that the professor and my classmates say." He placed his wand near his left hand, which was also his writing hand, and readied himself to take notes. |
*cara walks in with her hair tied back in a ble ribbon she was happy to be back in class and happy to be able to get more points for Ravenclaw * well hullo everyone! |
Jaren tended to skip over the first class but, deciding he might have missed something in previous years attended this one. He leaned back in his seat, ready to pick up his quill or pull out his wand. |
