| | Astronomy Lesson of Records Come in every one. This isn't exactly a lesson, but you can still score some major points!
This (kinda) lesson will be spent on records. The biggest, brightest, hottest... you name it. I will post a question, something to do with a record within the universe, and the first person to correctly guess it will earn 5 points. I have 25 questions to ask, so there is 125 house points up for grabs!
Just a few quick rules...
1. Only the first person to correctly guess will be awarded points.
2.There will be no disputing of answers as they come from a completely reliable source.
3. Have fun and earn some points for your house!
So get ready, the questioning is about to begin!! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Maximus O. Vindictus III First Year | No Touchy! ♥ demented_teacher Kay raised her hand. "The largest corona in the solar system happens to belong to the sun. The corona is the outermost layer (outer atmosphere) of the Sun, starting at about 1300 miles (2100 km) above the surface."

| T l Guitar ♥ l l Bed Police l S No this is a different type of corona. I will give you a big clue, all I need is the actual name...
Coronae (roughly circular features surrounded by multiple concentric ridges) are so far unique to the planet Venus. They were discovered between 1990 and 1994 by the US Magellan spacecraft.
The largest is the ________ corona, which has a diametre of 2100km. |

Yoko raised her hand (she appeared from no where)
"It's the Artemis Corona! And I have some extra information: The interior of Artemis Corona, by far the largest corona at 2100 km diameter, is divided in half by a northeast-trending deformation belt that contains numerous rounded ridges resembling antiforms. The largest of these ridges, located at the center of Artemis Corona, is 5 km high on its steep northwest flank where it is adjacent to a flat-bottomed, 10-km-wide trough interpreted as a rift valley. The 280-km-long antiformal ridge is marked by perpendicular grooves that cross the 50-km-wide ridge and extend southeastward as far as 120 km across adjacent plains.

''The highest mountain in the Solar System is Olympus Mons on the planet Mars, which this week comes the closest to Earth it has been in 60,000 years – roughly 34.6 million miles. The peak of Olympus Mons is 25 km (15 miles) above its base, making it nearly three times the height of Mount Everest.''

Yoko also wanted to answer that question, but it was too late. She smiled at the girl who raised her hand before her.
