We've all experienced it. Lay off SS for a few days, or a few well-chosen hours of the day to eat/work/go to class, and when you return...

BAM. Did anyone get the number of that truck?

Anyway, this is a thread where you can catch up on the latest happenings of the school plot, instead of wandering the hallway lost and confused...

To be rather frank, from the top:

The staff has decided to brew the Draught of Em...Emphe...okay, a potion that will bring the ghosts back to life.

Lord Voldemortist has caught ear of this events through his servant (identity unknown) and has arrived at Hogwarts, to date having murdered seven students: Two Gryffindor (Ron, Kelli(?)), One Hufflepuff (?), Three Ravenclaw (Kagome, Mike, Patricia) and Two Slytherin (Ralph, Nico). He currently resides in the Forbidden Forest.

A "state of emergency" has been declared, and all students are to stay within the castle walls. Professor Rae and Professor Lainley are on the grounds to retrieve the bodies of the latest students killed in the Gamekeeper's Hut. Standing guard is a small group of students.

LORD VOLDEMORTIST HAS ARRIVED! There is a decidedly one-sided battle going on outside the school gates, and already one student has been killed (Gryffindor?). The conclusion of the battle is still to be determined, but cast your bets.

Lord Voldemortist is now in the Entrance Hall, and being attacked from basically all sides. Backing him is a Slytherin girl Ari, though he doesn't appear to care or notice. He's just been stopped in his tracks with a Full Body Bind casted by Professor Rae...but will it hold him?

After managing to reach the hallways, Voldemortist was not only tailed and attacked by Professor Rae and her enthusiastic helpers, but faced a homemade obsticle course that resembles a full-scale version of something out of a "Home Alone" movie, prepared by both Nadia and Ganymede. It caused him a little trouble, but after apparently using Legitimency on Sir Puppington, Voldemortist discovered a secret passageway to bypass the Hallway of Ultimate Messes. Rae has hit him with an Impediment Jynx at the entrance to the passageway, and Ari has been subdued...for now. It's all up to Proffesor Rae to stop the Dark Lord.

In the Spirit Room, a small band of students is preparing to ambush Voldemortist should he make it this far. All are disillusioned and anxiously waiting. Headmaster Hendrik's status is unknown.

Professor Rae duelled Lord Voldemortist in the secret passageway and into the main room of the Spirit Room, where she was stabbed for her efforts and left to die while Voldemortist made off with the BoM to who knows where next. Sir Spots attempted to help by performing the ritual in hopes that, with a body, he would be able to escort Professor Rae to the Hospital Wing, but the attempt failed. Now we have no Sir Spots.

Professor Lainley has left the Hospital Wing, desperate to reach the Spirit Room in time to help/save Professor Rae. Right now she's having difficultly getting across the leftover booby traps in the hall (oops!) and is escorted by Terry Weasley and Jaren Kymers, who will probably insist on backing her up (chronicler's note: count on it

)

Professor Rae has been taken to the Hospital Wing.

The potion is almost finished; and another potion, a counter potion, has just been brewed by three students (Nadia, Terry, Raven) under the "instruction" of the school Poltergist Samea.

Sadly, the "counterpotion" Samea gave the students caused the drinker to become encased in iron. Raven being the unfortunate one to consume it first, has been escorted to the Hospital Wing to see what can be done about it.

The potion is completed, and has been moved to the Spirit Room, where whatever it is will commence.

The ritual (or ceremony, whatever) is well underway. Marcella has been restored (hurrah!) as well as Professor Lainey (hurrah again!) but the latter seems to have some minor difficulties. Marcella has moved herself (or has been moved) to the Intensive Care Unit in the Hospital Wing, where a Slytherin student has stumbled upon her in her newly restored and alive form. (That would be me.

) Hendrik seems to have detected a strange presence around the main room, so stay tuned...

Kris Airlia has been restored, but considering she should have died 50 years ago, she returned into the body of a 90-something year old. Not pleasant. Also, the Slytherin who first met reincarnated Marcella collapsed to the ground at around the time Lord Voldemortist appeared and killed the student (draw your own conclusions, I'm not telling why.

) Currently he has recovered and has returned to stand guard over Professor Riddle, but will he be allowed to stay?

Professors Airlia and Pheonix have awakened...somewhat. Hendrik has left to confront Lord Voldemortist (HUZZAH!)

DUEL OF THE FATES: Aaaand the results are in!!

HM Hendrik v.s. Lord Voldemort: Round One at the Entrance Hall

Result: Hendrik 0, Lord Voldemort 1

HM Hendrik + Hendrik + Hendrik + Hendrik (did I miss anyone?) v.s. Lord Voldemort: Round Two at the Castle Grounds (near Forbidden Forest)

Result: Hendrik 1 + BoM, Lord Voldemort 0

(Note from Dark_Chimera: He stole that cloning idea from Monkey King!) HM Hendrik: Hahahaha! very Funny! I never even heard of Monkey King! I thought it was a somewhat original idea....*sigh* Oh well.
Overall victor: By a hair, HM Hendrik! (The crowd goes wild. Cheers, confetti, several tired students and staff collapse.)

Current status of downed staff:

Professor Riddle: Asleep
Professor Lainley: Asleep
Professor Rae: Asleep
Professor Pheonix: Semi-unconcious, very sick
Headmaster Hendrik: Awake, in Intensive Care Unit, watching Professors
Professor Airlia: Semi-concious(?)
Sir Puppington: Gone forever...

Nurse Lotus: Working overtime.

Season: Early to mid winter. Lots of snow. Stormy because of HM Hendrik clone changing the weather.

Status of student body: Zzzzz....

Time: I don't know anymore. Late afternoon?

OOC: I feel like a sports announcer..."And a left hook! A right hook! And heeee's out!"

lol "Home Alone" booby traps is all I can do. lol. Well, I would do more but the Lord Voldemortist dude is SCARY!!! My poor character is a bit feared of that dude... Ganymede's hair is turning white.. so her metamorphaga-ness is getting the best of her. Nadia and Jaren.. you are my characters best pals.. so don't DIE! Do yunz keep a file of each term or something? I think I'll start one. Might help later.

I meant that someone (can't remember who anymore) was repeatedly trying to stun other students and bring them out of the fight, one of those targeted being Ron_Potter. It would have been waaay more effective if they just worked together or something...

...well at least now Rae has some privacy to...erm...subdue Lord Voldemortist.

I believe the point was for these students to keep the other students from doing something dumb- like trying to go after Voldemortist themselves. They were acting sort of like you'd expect prefects to act, just trying to keep people in line, safe, and out of trouble.

Terry Weasley, it was, and I know what she was doing there but... RonPotter was supposed to be one of the people to push other students away too, you know (Prefect Group according to Airlia)? They were on the same group. So why did Terry acted like that, is probably orders from the administrators-mods. Wonder if this is the participation we were told about...

Two other things: RonPotter was in this "Prefect Group", yet he was not supposed to write the outcome of the spells, where Terry could. (Maybe this prefect group should have been told their "resulting spells" power had to only to other students and not to the main characters....)

Second (I know, I say this a lot but), Terry was trying to save Nadia, yet put her in danger by neutralizing her Disillusionment spell and binding her. (People, can you say "I'm dead"? Taking into account Terry's power to make spell hit... pretty much you can). Where I ask other people to respect the other's posts, I have to appologize for missing Mrs Weasley's post and not add a result (have to edit, and will, as soon as the Hallway thread is re-opened) so I've decided I will make Terry's spell be released in the confusion within so Nadia can run away, deal?

Still, again, if they are so dumb as to try fighting the dark lord... yeah, pretty much, kill them (I will so regret this statement later). Or at least kill them when they do something completely stupid/irreal: Aka, try to take down a murderer on their own, single handed, at plain view and/or with muggle duelling. Or step in the way, if not a ghost (Spots), is plain stupid too - brave but stupid. Use your heads people!

PD. Last thing, though I should probably be posting it in the Reality of the RPG rather than here: Lobby means= room before and in between the main entrance and the other rooms (main room/corner) right? *shrugs* Only curious to see if I had it wrong - not native English-speaker here.

*dramatic music* dun dun dun. currently, ari is supposidly being tied up to be taken in for interrogation OR just to be kept out of the fight, as are other students. buuut as everyone knows, things don`t always quite work out as planned. will they? will they not? wait & see i guess.

& defeated is such a . . strong word. lol

ronpotter did two things wrong & i`ll tell you what they are, though you`ve probably already seen.
before i editted my own posts so they could be seen, ari had hit three people with a stunning spell in the back. i didn`t have to write the words exactly because it should have been understood. they had all run down the hall & left me there, stunned. the effects eventually wear off, as many have shown. so i got up once everyone had left & i hit them from behind. two of them, acted properly & stayed down after i said "ran past their bodies." yadda yadda. ronpotter not only took it upon himself to change the effects, but he put a spell on me in return. nuh uh.
very clearly, he was wanted out of that fight & he just wasn`t accepting that fact. that is why sometimes, you have to role-play the outcome of a spell for people. they just won`t give in.
he was so concerned about being apart of the action that he wasn`t taking into account the reality of what he was doing.

not to mention the fact that he was using the avada kadavra spell, which technically is uneffective coming from him, but he could also be expelled from the school for using dark magic.

Yeah, I noticed his mistake - plus didn't notice the "spell hit-spell hit not" thing but I can see the problem there, can see what was wrong. I was curious on the new student-have-power thing (

). Oh and I post something different from what Terry Weasley's said it happened but I explained my reasons and respected the idea about no other students there. (Finally could edit! Yahoo!)

He wouldn't be the first one either. There was this student expulsed because of performing Aveda Kedabra.... oh! and there was this other one who used Crucio... but he wasn't expelled, to my wonder.

QUESTION: Is she, Ari, or is she not unconcious?

they had to lock the thread & we talked about it to figure it out. we went through all the posts leading up to the one where i was supposidly knocked out by a PT spell.
ronpotter should have been knocked out by my spell, so that kinda makes his spell invalid. buuuuut whatever.
after much discussion, i am in fact, conscious. the edits will begin once the thread is unlocked.
also, the action nadia`s phoenix made. i had begun replying to your post before i saw the edit in which it left, so i will be going back & editting that one as well.

i hope that cleared that up.

Actually, it is quite perfect!

See: when Ari tried to Finite Incantatum Sparky, she disappeared and left a feather behind (like Fawkes does), unintentionally making it look like your spell worked - hehe. It wasn't meant to be like that but after I read it and saw what was left I thought it was hilarious

You don't really need to edit anything^^

Still, I changed my mind seeing, if I need Sparky to be spared, it will be against the worst evil, Voldimortist (*sigh* pity I can't make Sparky enter the Spirit Room, she might help Rae, lol) - plus, in all honesty Sparky is made from a potion, so if you finite incantatum Sparky... I believe not only a father would come out but a couple of other ingredients

(Yes, first Sparky came from a feather alone but after Hendrik stopped the spell and returned Sparky into a feather, Nadia found out another way to create a phoenix, acording to, if I am not much mistaken, the Librarian, and Kaida found the ancient potion to make it happen... I wouldn't be surprised if it was a copy from the BoM~)

Professor Rae has been stabbed by Voldemortist in the Main Room. Sir Spots is trying to use that potion (draught of Ephemera) to revive her somehow.. he is helpless and I feel sooo bad about that!! My character, Ganymede, is having those "twin" happenings. Her sister Hebe can feel that she is in impending doom and grave danger and wants Ganymede to get away from that danger. Hebe and Ganymede have connected spirits and depend on eachother somewhat. HM Hendrik? WHERE ARE YOU? good goodly moogly!! lol

Also.. Professor Lainey is on her way through the halls.. and um sorta has fell into a swamp that I put into that hall. Does anyone think that dear Professor Lainey would give my sweet, innocent, behaved character detention so late in the term? Hopefully the Voldemortist will get to her before the owl is even sent! lol

*Terry WAS one of my "prefect-like" helpers. Ron was not. I don't know what made you think that he was, but I never added any helpers once I posted their five names in the Lawn thread. Terry had the ability to cast a spell and tell its outcome (and sometimes she got really bossy and told people to STAY DOWN... which is ironic, because those were my exact directions to MY team.) So, if it feels like some people didn't know what was going on, those were probably the people who didn't know the way it was going. LOL

*I'm 110% positive that the spell or potion you used to make your fake phoenix, Nadia, is NOT from the BoM's copy. There is only one copy of the book and it is totally off limit to students. Nice try, though

*Yes, sorry about all that mess with the closing of the thread, but with so much going on, its really hard to figure out exactly what was happening. Perhaps for clarification, editting of posts should be kept to a minimum and people should STAY DOWN. *grins*

Aw, don't say that! We are trying to help! *whins* It's this stupid door that won't bulge! We have tried Alohomora, Basting Charms and Reducto and we can't get in so... yeah, it's Rae alone... at least we tried. A plan of some sorts. Dunno...

Yes, he's left, but who would you have open the door? Rae who is bleeding to death or Spots who is trying to save her and is a ghost? Hm... the options aren't looking good.

And I KNOW you guys want to help with this scene, but you have to see that there is a specific reason it is playing out the way it is. We needed it to be this way, and I'm sorry we couldn't have students there to react to. Just... stay calm and stuff. Don't be too upset.

Right now, when I take a look at all the posts in the past three days, I have an urge to borrow Hendrik's catch phrase...'Good goodly moogly'.

I have to agree the last three days have been pretty crazy. Let's just hope we still have a DADA Professor come Friday. It wouldn't hurt to say a few prayers for Professor Rae and Sir Spot while you'll set you'll new traps. And please no more signs. Voldie can read too. You know.

Sir Spots has saved her! WOW! But I think Sir Spots has crossed over with his dead mother. - moments of silence - This is amazing. He did it. I hope. But is Professor Rae strong enough to still go after the Dark Lord(ist)? Jaren... Sorry if I'm stealing your job.. just pretend I am commenting on a parade... I don't know. That's why there was only ONE sign and it was one-side : The corridors have two ways, of course, one to exit the place to the Entrance and one to enter by the Entrance. Err, here's better:

CORRIDOR - leading to the Spirit Room
(Main Entrance)__________(Spirit Room)___________(warning sign) +(Part of the corridor from where other people should come from, aka Hospital Wing)

Makes sense?

And I had a couple of traps left... pity I've been out most of the day *sniffy*

We are not dispairing (yet) Rae^^ It was a kind of plan - trying to blast the door apart. *shrug* Didn't work out by the look of it, so nevermind.
