Professor McAiken stops at the door of his classroom. He seems rushed and out of breath. He removes a piece of parchment from his robes and using a Sticking Charm places it on the door of his classroom:

Lesson Two

October 24, 2004
5pm GMT / 12 pm EST

Due to a private matter I am sorry to inform you
that your class is rescheduled. I must travel to London
on an important matter for my previous position.
I shall be returning in time to hold class tomorrow.
Sorry, for the late notice but I have
only been summoned to London this morning.
Enjoy your free class time, but use it wisely.

Lexy walked into the empty classroom and quickly read over the note

Lexy eyed the books on the shelf in the back of the classroom and quickly ran over to it. She grabbed a book on Metamorphmagi and began flipping through she muttered to herself

already read this one...

then she spotted another one she hadn't read along with a thick book on the history of transfig and the first known spells. She sits at her desk and quietly starts flipping through the indexes of the two books. She finally decides it would probly be better for her to read the book on Metamoprhmagai so she put the other book aside and started scanning each page for useful info.

Professor McAiken appears from the door of the class storage room. He is carrying a satchel and a broom. He sees the student. He stops.

"Hello, I was just leaving. I'll leave the classroom open but if it's a mess when I come back there will be detentions and large deduction of house points. Be careful with my books and don't practice spells. Wise use of the open room will be rewarded with house points. I do have means of watching this room. Sorry to rush out but I am running late and must go."

McAiken then begans to almost jog from the rooms and is gone.

Lexy quickly looks up from her book, slightly taken aback by all the stiff rules. But she knew that rules are there for a reason. She smiled to herself and returned to her book. She held it gingerly and treated it with the same care she always treated books with. She wrinkles her nose and then it changes to a long wooden nose, like pinochio. She laughs and quickly changes it back.She continues reading the book and trying different things.It's pretty cool being a Metamorphmagus

Jaren enters the classroom after reading the message on the door. He takes a seat near the back and begins reading his Transfiguration textbook while waiting for the Professor to return.

ryan walks in and sits near the window and pulls out a piece of paper. He studies it, then pulls out his wand.

Lexy smiles at the two other students that had entered the classroom and sighed, she still had a good bit of reading to do. She switched over to the book about ancirent trangsfigureation spells found engraved in anceint runes

It took years to decifer these strange symbols and there is still more to learn. Since all is not known of these ancient spells they have not been approved by the ministry...

Ryan studies the paper further and then does a motion with his wand. whatever he MEANT to do didn't happen.

-comes in and reads the notice. she then spotsa a book shelf and runs over to it, picks a book on animagi and begins reading it. . . . . . . . . . . waiting for class to begin-

Lexy closes the book, muttering to herself "I think i'll wait until the spells are accually legal before i study them" She ran back over to the bookshelf and came back with a very intersting book on the transfiguring of dragons. She smiled when she remembered the small, wooden figure of a dragon she would jinx to come alive (temorarily of course) she dug around in her bag hoping to find it but she had left it back in the common room. She sighed and opened the book.

A barn owl flies into the room and lands on the professor's desk. The owl begins to hoot, holding out his leg for someone to remove his burden of a parchment roll. He continues to hoot....waiting.

Nadia, just arriving, sees the owl and takes the parchemtn out from its paw, offering a cookie in her pocket. She leaves the message on the desk and then goes to sit back.

-Laura reads the notice on the door of the classroom. She decides to go in and take a look at what others are doing. Looking around she sees that only a few people are here and most of them are reading. She notices a little mess around the bookshelf and she walks over to tidy up.-

-While cleaning up the area around the book shelf she found herself a book that looked interesting. She picked it from the shelf and she sat down in her usual seat. She began to read.-

-Laura finished reading and placed her book back on the shelf from the spot she had taken it. She decided to take advantage of the quiet room to go over her notes and catch up on a little homework.-

...

-Sighing after completing her homework, Laura got up and did a quick tidy of the desks and put her bag on her back, ready to leave when she notices an owl waiting on the professor's desk. As she went to remove it's message, she saw that Nadia already started to do so. She smiled at her and left.-

The scroll of parchment begins to wiggle after Nadia had set it down. Then suddenly there was a very small pop and it unrolled itself. The owl reaches down and picks it then flies to Lexy's seat as he flies by he drops the scroll in her lap. It reads:

I am sorry for my tone of instructions as I hurried away earlier. I meant to say that Transfiguration room would remain open for studying purposes. I will of course reward those who choose to get in a bit of extra studying with house points. It is my hopes that everyone will treat the books well becasue some of them are enchanted by the Librarian to response to mistreatment and some are very rare. It wasn't my intentions to sound harsh but adults often do when they are in hurry and say things off the top of their heads. My classroom rules apply even if I am not here so please be good.

I walked in and looked around. I saw there were a few people in here so i decided to go to an empty desk and put down my stuff. I saw the notice on the board and also heard the notice being said outloud. I went over to the book shelf and looked at some old books. i picked one up to study for transfiguration.

-As Laura starts to step out the door, she noticed a small popping sound and turned to see the parchment unroll and the owl fly over to Lexy with it in it's claws.-

Hmm -Laura says. She turned around and looked curiously at Lexy as she read the note.-

Is it a note from the professor?

-She moved toward Lexy's desk and noticing the writing as Professor McAiken's,- May I? -She asked-

-She began to read.-

Ryan thought to himself that it was hopeless. He put the parchment away and went to grab a book and transforming animals into crystal and studied it.

Riiya walks towards the door but pauses as she saw the note on the door. she took a step and peeped into the class where where were a few students around. she kept quiet and thought, "maybe...its like those do your homework and group study here thing," she said to herself. she smiled and walked inside. finding an empty seat in the middle, she sits down and pulls out her Transifuration book, reading a chapter on Transmogifying Animals.

Lexy smiled, that was so kind of the proffesor, she understood perfectly well. She rolled up the letter and carefully put it in her bag.She turned to her book with a new energy.

She turned to Laura and shrugged

Riiya begins to read a paragraph from the chapter. she found this rather interesting...
