Jaren walked past the Headmaster's office, something ragged and soiled clutched in his right fist. Hearing what Alph had just said, everything fell into place. He knew it. That's why it had been so powerful...and so similar to the first time...well, this solves Nadia's little problem, he thought to himself, but wondered what outcomes would surface. This required someone else as well...Jaren looked inside the office. The Headmaster wasn't in his office...he'd have to look elsewhere then, and return later. |
Jaren returned to the Headmaster's Office, still clutching the rag in his fist. Dispite the situation, he appeared to be dead calm, and showed no signs of distress. |
*Christopher goes into teh Headmaster's Office and sees Jaren there.* Hi Jaren. How are you? *Seeing that the Headmaster is not in his office, Chris leaves a sealed envelope that has his name and a warning in miniscule writing follows: Quote:

Seeing that the Headmaster is nowhere in sight and will probably continue to be, Jaren decided that it was no use hanging around. He turned and exited the office. If there was nobody to turn to, then he would have to rely on himself... |
HM Hendrik entered his office through a secret passage from behind one of the paintings on the south wall. There had been several students waiting for his return, he could tell. There was a note on his desk... Quote:
"Hmmmm...this is interesting, very interesting..." He quickly walked over to a small pane of glass hanging by the entrance to his office and tapped it three times with his wand. The faces of thoses who had been in his office waiting for him quickly flashed across the mirror like surface. "Jaren....Slytherin House....now he looked quite concerned. I think a messenger spell is in order." HM Hendrik closed his eyes and thought to himself, "...Jaren, you have been to my office and needed my assistance, please return at your earliest conveinence...." He waived his wand in the air and a small bird shaped wisp of mist burst forth and raced down the halls of the castle to find its recipient. |
Jaren entered the Headmaster's office for what seemed like the umpteenth time in the course of a few days. He looked determined and somewhat concerned, but otherwise it was difficult to decipher what he was actually feeling at this point of time. One got the sense that he was a man on a mission. He stopped at the doorway and waited for the Headmaster to invite him in, not wanting to be rude. |
Kiaria walks in, and accidently bumps into Backslash. "Oh, I'm sorry...I just wanted to speak with Headmaster Hendrik...I'll wait. You were here first..." |
:angel:Lily noticed that there was obviously things that were more important then her question, so she decided that she would leave and hoped that the Headmaster would soon send her an owl with a response. She smiled at the students waiting and walked out of the office. ^_^ |
Jaren nodded shortly to the Gryffindor. "You may want to find something else to occupy your time while you wait, I may take a while." He waited, feeling more impatient and annoyed about a whole series of other things than the expression on his face hinted at. There seemed to be a muffled noise coming from one of his pockets at the same time he seemed to jerk slightly. The only reaction to this, though, was nothing other than a swift glance around the area with his eyes and some shuffling, as if he was getting ready for something. |
HM Hendrik turned from a row of books on the shelf where he stood in deep thought. "Ah, Jaren, please come in. I believe you have something on your mind?" |
Jaren shut the door behind him, locking it, then paused and decided that it would have to do. He faced the Headmaster, reaching into his pocket to pull out the thing that had been making an odd noise. It was wrapped in his scarf, and he unwrapped it to reveal a small item that was whistling faintly. "I bought a DMD over the holidays, and I carry it with me in my pocket," Jaren said, deciding to get directly to the point. "Reccently I have made a trip to Hogsmede, and I happened to pass by the Shrieking Shack when it went off. I have been in the area before with this detector, and it did not go off except on that day. Strangely enough, when I was returning from Hogsmede I ran into a few Housemates of mine, all distressed. One said that she suspected that someone had broken into the Shack, and the others told me that they had seen faint green light coming from the Shack. When I went to investigate, the DMD once again activated." "I also understand that you have called off the Quidditch match and that we are not allowed to leave the castle at this point, and while you have not explained why this is so, I suspect that this incident links to mine. If I am allowed to make such a bold conclusion, I would say that some form of powerful dark magic has settled itself in the area around the school..." Jaren paused, and decided it would be best to wait to see what the Headmaster had to say before he continued. |
HM Hendrik looked into Jaren's eyes very closely and chose his words very carefully. "You are quite resourseful Jaren, and very observant. However you have nothing to fear as long as you remain inside the castle. It would be wise for you to inform your house mates as well as any other 'group' that leaving the castle without a teacher escort is highly unadvisible. Again, you are safe as long as you remain within the castle walls." |
Jaren simply nodded. "It isn't a matter of fear, Headmaster. If it is as serious as you probably know and I suspect--if we are thinking on the same lines here--that there is a greater reason as to why this dark force has arrived. I trust you do not need a mere student like me to conclude that, nor do you need a student to advise you to excercise caution." Jaren lapsed into silence, regarding the Headmaster warily. Should he mention the other issue in his mind? |

Raven walked into HM Hendrik Office and smiled. "I have a question. If Voldemortist had any chances of getting on school campus we know that he can't show himself in public. Do you think that he maybe is going to use somebodys body to get itno the campus. But you do know the rumors concerning the fact that some students claim to have seen a green emerald light flash. So, if they have claimed to have seen a green light flash then the matters could get worst as I know you are very aware of the passage that leads from the Whomping Willow to the school grounds to the school," she said walking around ignoring all the people looking at her. "Is it possible for him to take over ones body and appear as a student and start killing off people that cross his path." She sat down rubbing her hair thinking. Things have gotten into worst matters and I know that you are aware. But are you sure it is safe for us to even be leaving are dorms," she paused thinking that it could be a huge conflict with alot of her own plans but the safety of any student is more important then lessons and I am aware that HM knew that himself. |
Half terrified, Aph walked back into the headmaster's office. "Uhm...exucse me sir....was that....back in the shrieking shack...was that....was that..." She stammered. "Is quidditch cancled and the grounds closed because that was Voldemortis?" She asked quietly. "Was Alex right?" |
kagome i see that you are in here and i know you are supposed to be dead- thats a shame by the way- but i am in the dark here. what happened? i have not been on for a while and i need to know what has been happening. please pm me and let me know. |
Jaren suppressed the urge to roll his eyes. He wasn't expecting a non-magically locked door to be much of a barrier, but people should at least have the decency to knock. Then two things happened at once, simultaniously. The DMD Jaren held in his hand went bizerk, and began spinning rapidly and whistling shrilly. The second was that Jaren jerked and seemed to trip up, grabbing the end of the Headmaster's table for support. Facing the floor, his expression could not be read, and he still clutched the DMD in his hand. He pulled himself up quickly, straightening, and looked not at the Headmaster, but thought the window, as if expecting to see something, his eyes not wide with fear or surprise but narrowed. |
HM Hendrik knew something drastic was happening outside on the school grounds. High on top of one of his book shelves was a small silver globe resting on a small silver needle. The globe turned a sickly shade of green and began vibrating. He looked at all the students standing in his office with a very determined gaze. "Jaren, if you are not feeling well, I suggest a vist to the school nurse. And Raven, I strongly suggest that you remain inside the castle until futher notice. I dare say ANY form that you may think would work, most deffinately will not. All entry and exits to and from the castle have been taken care of. You are perfectly safe inside the castle walls. Now if you all will excuse me, I have urgent matters to attend to." He quickly escorted the students out the door and closed it behind them. Walking back to the globe on his shelf, he thought to himself. "...well this was unexpected....things are moving faster than I had anticipated...have to be alert...got to get the potion finished soon!" |
Jaren allowed himself to be ushered out of the office without protest, thinking hard. Hendrik's reply to Raven made no sense, unless it was a reply to something else...in any case, one would have to be clinically insane to attempt to confront the forces outside single-handedly. He looked up to see Tobias swooping down to land on his shoulder, a message in his beak. Jaren opened it, read it briefly, then started down the corridor, pocketing his DMD after wrapping it in his scarf. |
Hurrying up the last few steps, Phoebe stopped in front of Kobus' door to collect her breath, then knocked rather urgently and opened. Kobus was standing opposite a large globe and seemed lost in thought. "Oh," Phoebe said silently to not interrupt further, "I'm sorry to disturb you, Kobus. But the Mandrake Restorative Draught is complete, and we were under the impression you were taking over the first shift." In the meantime, she was standing right behind him and couldn't resist the temptation to slowly slip her arms around his waist. Standing on the tip of her toes, she kissed his neck in a playful way, but then pulled back guiltily. "Duty first, duty first, duty first..." she repeated several times with shut eyes but laughing all the same. "Oh, that potion can wait five minutes, right?" |
Chills ran down Kobus' spine when he felt Phoebe's lips on his neck. He quickly spun around and embraced her. "Potion?? What potion?" he said with a devious grin. The tempentation was too much! He held her tight and kissed her square on the lips! His body went numb...lost in her smell, her touch...he wished they could spend more like this but that nagging globe brought him back to his sences. Slowly, reluctantly, he pullled away from Phoebe and gazed into her eyes. "Yes, duty first....." *sigh* "I will be in the dungeons momentarly...just a few things to do here first...like..." He kissed her again, running his hands through her hair as their lips met. "Phoebe, if you don't go now...the potion could be ruined...must keep watch over the next step in the process..." his words were broken by small, tender pecks he gave her all across her face. Knowing that this step in the potion was vital, he gave her one final, loving kiss. "I really must go....to the dungeons. I'll check in with you later...before the next step of the process." Kobus went to his desk, grabbed a few items and walked with Phoebe out of his office. |
"Bugger..." she whimpered, entering the room wthout warning and finding it empty. "Bugger, bugger, bugger..." With the owl pathetically attempting to fly next to her, the note re-atatched to its leg, she scarpered off, not wanting to be caught short by a student. |
Raven looked at them speak infront of her face and shook her head trying to understood what Professor said. She watched the two Professor has a quick romantic greet and giggled as they stated duty first. Raven noticed Professor Riddle entrance and smiled walking past her heading towards her commmon room. |
Lily ran into the office with her face wet with tears and breathing heavly. She noticed that the room was empty. She lightly placed a note on the Headmasters desk. "Headmaster something MUST be done! I understand that I am only a student, but can't you see? Voldemortists is making you all take away everything until we all go insane. That way it will be easier to kill us all. I could have died today if I stayed near the hut any longer then I did. But people did died SEVEN students DIED ...and who will be next? Who knows. Voldemortist will kill ANY student, Professor, animal or whatever may be in its path. There will be more deaths until someone takes a stand. I dont know about you, but just the thought of dying at such a young age, and in such a horrible way is scary. I dont want to be scared anymore. Also for an update on how most students are doing...well they are going insane and dont want to stay in their common rooms...basically. Maybe you should make some activity for the students to do while there...I'm not sure they are enjoying living locked in a castle. Professor's are telling people to get in their common rooms, but no one is listening. Make them listen. Make them want to go into the common rooms. Its the only way. From, Lily Anderson" She turned around and walked out of the room. She had no where to go, that she thought was safe. |
