Quidditch Practice For use only by members of the Quidditch team. Anyone else found posting will be put in detention, no questions asked. |
Lina walks onto the field carrying the crate with the balls. She puts it down on the ground while waiting for the team members to arrive, and she eyes a paper with the new rules as she's waiting. Finally the whole team has arrived, and when they've all gathered on the field she turns to them. Hi! First of all I want to say welcome to the new members of the team, Elijah, Eric and Shannon! I'm sure you'll all do great, and if you have any questions you can ask anyone on the team for help! Now, Ravenclaw has held the Quidditch cup for the past 3 terms, and I have no intention of letting it go now. That's why we are gonna practice long and hard and make sure we are in great shape before the match, which should start in a week or so. The rules are a bit different this year, and I hope you've all studied them carefully. I will not go through them again, but make sure you know them by heart, I don't want to lose game points because of some stupid mistakes. The questions will be from OotP and Quidditch Through the Ages, make sure you have those books ready. This practice will be played just like a real game, with the exception that I'll be asking the questions, with some assistance from my co-captain, Mike. The teams are easy, the current house team against the reserve team. Your performance in this practice will determine who gets to play on the starting team in the game, remember that! OOC: Do the questions always alternate teams, or will they ever give one team two in a row? |
OOC: Sometimes they alternate and then give a free one which can be answered by any team. But not very often. |
OOC: Ok. I wouldn't even have thought to ask, the question only came to mind because you didn't specify Team 1 or 2 on the last quaffle question. I didn't know if that was a free for all question or a team 2 question. |

Shannon answers a question not meant for her, and in a real game that would have cost us points. But since it is your first practice, I'll let it slip. Team 2 gets a new question instead.
