*Thinking that you know far too little about you resident librarian you come into her office which before had been just another room for books. She has a large cherry wood desk and the walls seem like they are made out of bookshelves because you can hardly see any wall behind them. An oak ladder leans against one of the bookshelves and runs along the rail magically as certain books come off the shelves and others are replaced with an invisible hand as the ladder passes. Books are scattered all about the floors in large stacks but as you move towards Madame Rowena's desk you arrive at two large leather chairs in front of her desk. Along the bookshelves behind her desk however you see many pictures suspended mid-air without frames and you go over to take a look. Many are of the librarian on her book expeditions during her holiday. The one that catches you eye; however, is where Madame Rowena is surrounded by a group of waving natives and Madame Rowena is staggering under the weight of newly-found ancient scrolls but at the same time beaming at her new discovery. In one of the others it appears that it was taken in an Egyptian pyramid as Madame Rowena is standing next to a wall deciphering hieroglyphics of ancient magical curses and taking notes with her quill, scratching away in concentration. As you move away from her pictures frames you see a swirling pensive and numerous jeweled books in a glass cabinet against a bookshelf behind her desk. You give it a quick glance, but move away as you see a brass lock on the cabinet. On her desk a large scroll has been rolled out and books used as paper weights are placed on the corners to keep the scroll from curling. The scroll seems completely black but as you look through the magnifying glass suspended in the air; you see very ancient scriptures and symbols from ancient wizarding books. At this very moment Madame Rowena comes through the door and is excited to see her first visitor*
"Hello! How are you today? Anything in particular I can help you with?” says Madame Rowena with great warmth. | |

Ashley smiles at the Librarian "Oh hello! I was just looking around the library. Your office looks fascinating." she said in awe looking around at everything.

"Why hello Ashley! I'm glad you find my office interesting. Hunting for old books is a hobby of mine. I am what you could say is a librarian who enjoys to take her search for great texts beyond the library walls," states Madame Rowena with a smile.

Ashley grins. "Really? What kinds of old books?" she asked curiously. She glance aroudn some of the photos and asked "Umm so you've been to Egypt?" pointing to a picture on the wall.

"I normally search for old magical scrolls alongside muggles; however, they are not able to truly decipher the parchment meanings. Normally, the scrolls outline very ancient forms of magic and spells that date back to the origins of magical beings. The magic is very fascinating and by studying them we can actually learn how the origins of magic have evolved. I was in Egypt just 2 summers ago. I'm also planning a trip to Indonesia sometimes very soon to see what they have found in some underground temples as well from early civilizations."

"Egypt is such a beautiful place. There is so much history there just waiting to be discovered, that's what I find most stimulating. The scrolls are quite a bit of fun. It takes a lot of work to decode but it's so satisfying once the code is deciphered," says Madame Rowena with a contented sigh.

*Madame Rowena enters her office quickly after following Mr. Shrine back up to the castle. She takes out her wand and transfigures it into a key to open up her glass cabinet behind her desk. She moves a few jeweled books out of the way and pulls out a heavy leather book with the title Powers of Dead Sea Water. She opens it as the spine cracks slowly open and turns to the potions page to begin reading fervently*
“I just have to know what we are getting ourselves into….” she says intensely to herself. | |

Raven walked in on Madames words and looked at Kagome with a smile. "I don't think we should be bothering her at this point she said pulling out her wand slowly. She tapped whispered the levitation charm on her (?) and watched her float out the door like ghost. She walked closer to the worried looking Professor. She sat in her chair and placed her hand on the book. " I know that this is very important but you might want to relax and lay off the book,' she said peering over her desk. She smiled and closed the book slowly. "This potion is going to far and everboy is worried," she said looking at her with a small frown.

*Madame Rowena looks up from her book and catches up to Kagome on her way out the door*
"I don't have any work right now, but if you come over to the front desk a little later you can help check in returned books for me," says Madame Rowena graciously. As Kagome turns to walk out the door again Madame Rowena walks back to her desk and sees Raven sitting down patiently with her book closed in front of her.
"I understand you are trying to put things in perspective but it is always better to stay prepared," announces Madame Rowena as she locks the book away in her glass cabinet.

Raven smiled and looked around the room full of books. She paused at the wall and stared as it seem to be moveable. "Would you happen to know of any hidden chambers in your office," she said standing walking towards the wall. She turned her back towards it and was preparing to lean back.
